TS4148 I'm trying to install a new SIM card in the iPhone 4 and it just says no service?
I've tried everything I can think of, I have to await a text from O2, however I can't get any service to receive the text.
You have to set up international use with Verizon. Your phone is a CDMA version, which is a network type used in the USA. The rest of the world is on GSM type network.
Contact Verizon and have them set up your phone and out fit you with a SIM card.

There is no Sim card in the iPhone you are trying to activate...
I recently called AT&T to have a out of contract iPhone 3GS using the IMEI #. I followed the instructions to unlock the iPhone (backup and restore), and after restore it should then be factory unlocked. BUT that's not the case, I get a message saying, There is no sim card in the iPhone you are trying to activate, Please disconnect and insert a sim card. This happens with/without a sim card, AT&T or otherwise. I have done some research and basically came up with nothing except that the phone (running iOS 5.1.1) may now be unable to read sim cards, something about the IMEI #... I'm not real sure. Any help on this would be very apreciated. Is it fixable or am I doomed?
Was the device previously hacked to be unlocked? If it was, it may now be bricked.
If no SIM card works in the device and it was not previously hacked to be unlocked, that would indicate the SIM reader has failed. -

Sounds like the iPhone is locked to a wireless carrier in France.
You will have to contact that carrier to see if they offer unlocking
and if you qualify.

sounds like the phone was previously jailbroken. It will never work again.

I took out a new contratc with three and they have imported my number, but my sim card number keeps coming up when I make calls. How to i change the settings on the ipone to reflect my original number. Any ideas please?

If this is a Verizon iPhone 4, there is no SIM slot.
For non-Verizon iPhone 4, the SIM is on the right side.
Push a paperclip inbto the hole to eject the SIM tray.

As I said above, I am unable to purchase the in-app amps in the garageband app. When I try, it just says "unable to complete purchase". I have tried signing in and out and such. Help would be appreciated!

The first thing I recommend is quitting and relaunching the applications on your iPhone:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

If you are still seeing the same issue after quitting and relaunching the GarageBand app, I recommend restarting your phone and then resetting if it's still not working:
Restarting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.

The result...waiting for a replacement from Verizon. Sad that the customer loses not only because the problem occured but because Verizon/Apple won't allow replacements IN STORE. I switched to Apple hoping it wouldn't be like Android...was I wrong?
I've gotten phone replacements in the store. Also have gotten iPad replacements in store.

Which most likely indicates that the phone is not unlocked. Was it purchased as unlocked? Unlocked by the original carrier? Are you using a supported cellular provider's SIM?

I cannot get access through the online security as when it requests my birth date, it informs that it is wrong (I got it right). ANd, when i attempt to do it via email, I don;t get the email in either of the only 2 accounts that I ahve ever had.
Any ideas?Time to contact Apple support directly and have them assist you with resetting the password.
