TS5362 When I typed in -/Library/Keychains/  in the Go To Folder box, I got the message back that the folder could not be found.  Possibly to add to that, when I did a permissions repair I got this message "SUID file sys/Lib/CoreS...has been modified...

When I typed in -/Library/Keychains/  in the Go To Folder box, I got the message  that the folder could not be found.  Possibly related to that, when I did a permissions repair I got this message "SUID file sys/Lib/CoreS...has been modified and will not be repaired.  How can I undo the problems that Mavericks 10.9.1 seems to have caused?

1. You need to type or paste in ~/Library/Keychains/ and not -/Library/Keychains/.
2. If the repair permissions message refers to ARDAgent, it's normal.

  • When I tap the "download for Android" on my Android phone, I receive a "requested item could not be found" error message.

I am attempting to install Firefox mobile on my Android phone. When I tap "download for Android" on my current browser, I receive a "requested item could not be found" error message.

Firefox will not appear in the Market for most phones with incompatible hardware. You can check if your phone is supported here:
    https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android
On some supported devices, a bug prevents Firefox from appearing in the Market. This may be related to the recent Market update. You can go to Settings/Applications and uninstall the Market update, then find and install Firefox.
Or, if you have a supported phone, you can download the app directly from here:
    http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/releases/4.0b3/android-r7/multi/
(Note: To download the app directly for an AT&T phone, you will have to search for instructions on "sideloading" the APK file, since AT&T disables the option to install from non-Market sources.)

  • Message "error #1 converting file message="(20)word(ver.xp)could not be found" when converting Word

I have users who can't convert Microsoft Word 2000 documents in Designer 7.0. 1 user is using a Dell Optiplex GX260 running Windows 2000 SP4, P4 1.8 Ghz, 512 MB RAM. Another user is working on a Dell Latitude D610 also running Windows 2000 SP4, Pentium M 1.73 Ghz, 512 MB RAM. Both of these users have Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional, I have applied the 7.0.5 patch. Both users have Microsoft Office 2000 SP-3. Any Ideas???

Well, as mentioned in the Designer Help you can convert Word files from Word XP and Word 2003, it doesn't mention Word 2000, so that is probably the problem (unsupported format).
If Acrobat is installed on the machines you can probably export out to a PDF from Word and then import that PDF into Designer as an alternative work flow. Though, off the top of my head I'm not sure if that is supported in Word 2000 either, but could be worth a try.

Thanks for your help. I am on an Intel iMac.

Permissions you can ignore on 10.5 and 10.6:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1448?viewlocale=en_US
Using 'should be -rw-r--r-- , they are lrw-r--r--' as an example, you will see the that the permissions are not changed, but the | indicates a different location. This is because an update to Leopard changed the location of a number of system components.

  • What does this message mean: This song could not be used because the original file could not be found--When I try to play songs there is an "!" next to it.

A friend recenlty replaced my hard drive.
When I try to use itunes--I receive this message: "The song could not be used because the original could not be found, would you like to locate it? Next to my songs I see this: "!" Help--Please!!

Well what happened is the pathname to the song has changed slightly.
For instance if the song was located say c\:Windows\User\Mary\Music\iTunesFolder
    and now it's c:\Windows\User\MaryXray\Music\iTunesFolder
I'm assuming here your music was replaced in the Music folder like on the old hard drive, that iTunesFolder was simply copied over in whole.
So to fix things, you go into the iTunes Folder in your Music Folder and look for a iTunes Music Library .XML file and open it in a Text Program that has "find and replace" ability.
You find the partial pathname of the old drive and you replace ALL instances of it with the new pathname.
so \Windows\User\Mary  would be changed to
    \Windows\User\MaryXray
Save the file and reopen iTunes.

  • When I try to listen to a song I purchased last week, I get the message, "could not be used because the original file could not be found. would you like to locate it?" What do I do to find it?

When I try to listen to the songs I purchased from iTunes last week, I get the error message, "could not be used because the original file could not be found. would you like to locate it?"  What do I do to fix this problem or locate the song?
    Thanks!

I am getting this same message.  I recently bought a new Macbook Pro and the geeks transferred my files from my mini-mac.  Perhaps they did not transfer something critical?  I follow the "locate" option when it asks to find my files and I get a file folder that has a red circle with a white bar in the middle.
I have the same issues with my downloaded movies but my apps all seem to be fine.
Even more confusing - it seems to allow random songs to play and download on my Macbook and other devices.  But most of my music - whether downloaded from iTunes or my CD collection comes up with that message about the original file.
Should I get new geeks to locate these files on my old mini-mac?
