Tuxedo container statistics (snmp or other)

Using Tuxedo 11.1 on Solaris
Right the only statistics we generate about our Tuxedo applications is through txrpt output which gives us information about response times/throughput plus we extract stuff like pq, psr load direct from tmadmin. Looking for more information about how the container is doing (gateway services, etc. internals of Tuxedo.
One way (but looking also for other suggestions) is to setup the SNMP deamon along side the Tuxedo domain. There is tuxTmachineActive information:
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E13161_01/tuxedo/docs10gr3/snmpmref/2coremib.html#wp1658507
that provides data about the local machine or the tuxTBridgeTbl about connectivity and so forth.
Tried running tux_snmpd on the default port 161 and then using the snmpwalk to scroll down the MIB tree but getting stuck at:
<my host>@(<my domain>)-> snmpwalk <my host> public private.enterprises.bea.beaSystem
No Response from <my host>
Are there any debug options? Nothing is written to the ULOG.

Hi,
I'm not sure what the problem with SNMP is, although you should probably review the SNMP configuration files. SNMP won't give you any more information than can already be obtained from the Tuxedo MIB via calling the .TMIB service. If you want more information than that, especially on the BRIDGE or gateway processes, you'll need to install TSAM. TSAM can give you very detailed performance information about your application.

  • Can I use the inner class of one containing class by the other class

    Can I use the inner class of one containing class by the other class in the same package as the containing class
    eg I have a class BST which has inner class Enumerator. Can I use the inner class from the other class in the same pacckage as BST?

    Inner classes do not share the namespace of the package of the containing class. Also they are never visible to other classes in the same package.Believe what you want, then, if you're going to make up your own rules about how Java works. For people interested in how Java actually works, here is an example that shows why that assertion is false:
    package com.yawmark.jdc;
    public class Outer {
         public class Inner {
    }And...
    package com.yawmark.demo;
    import com.yawmark.jdc.*;
    public class Demo {

  • Show ip nat statistics snmp oid

    Hello,
    I'm trying to monitor nat stats using snmp in the newer IOS versions.  I had it working pre 12.4(22)T, but now it seems as if the oid has changed.
    2811#show ip nat statistics
    Total active translations: 29 (0 static, 29 dynamic; 29 extended)
    Peak translations: 43, occurred 1d13h ago

    The number i'm looking for is the Total active translations.  If you try it on a router that has 12.4(20)T it will work, seems as if anything newer does not.
    Dan.

    Hi Dan,
    There is currently no MIB that has the "show ip nat statistics" output. An enhancement
    request was opened against this, but so far there are no plans to add this to the MIBs.
    Here is the enhancement request ID and release notes:
    CSCdr25202 no mib variable for ip nat statistics for total active translations
    "snmp mib variable for the command: show ip nat statistics for the total active
    translations is not present at the moment.
    This is an enhancement request. The work-around is to issue the command on the device itself (via CLI)."

  • "Could not initialize the application's security component" already erased mozilla directory containing profiles and the other in x86, problem persists!

    This has just happened. But I have erased the mozilla directories containing the profiles and as well the both mozilla directories in program files x86. Yet when Firefoz is reinstalled, problem recurs.
    Receive again the message "Could not initialize the application security component."
    Have looked at the fixes available. Those appear not to work.
    Anyone else with ideas? Maybe some hidden files that I can search for on my computer, and erase?
    I'm suspecting I need really a thorough erase of anything connected with Firefox, to solve this issues. Thought though I had found everything.
    Not relishing the prospect of erasing the hard-disc to fix this, though that has 100% probability of working.
    My computer is running Wista 64.

    Rename secmod.db (secmod.db.old) in the Firefox Profile Folder in case there is a problem with the file.
    Firefox will create new files.

    If you use Keynote rather than Pages you can export as HTML to get a slideshow...

  • Import TR RD1K903861 into system contain RD1K903861 related to other area

    Dears,
    I have the following situation I have two Separate ECC environments old and new
    new one built as a system copy from old one (old Prod)
    the old landscape is RD1, RQ1, RP1.
    and the new also is RD1,RQ1,RP1.
    SP stack level in old  < SP in the new.
    configuration/customization was opened in both old DEV and New DEV. So some configuration done in old DEV and need to be copied to new DEV. and also new lanscape contains new customizing not exit in old.
    now I want to import some TR's from the old DEV into new DEV. using add to buffer command.
    but we facing problem the transport numbers which needed to be imported into the new DEV already exit with different configuration.
    Example. I want to import TR  (RD1K903861  FI settings) from old DEV (RD1) into new dev with same SID and contains one transport with same TR number (RD1K903861  MM settings).
    as you can see, the same TR exist in both .
    How can I do that?
    FYI: this is not only for one or two TRs I have to do it for almost 150 TRs need to be imported.
    Please Advice.

    That's not good.

    If you have transport requests with the same numbers and SIDs there's nothing you can do to distinguish them from each other.

  • Airport network statistics (SNMP)

    I'm having a heck of a time getting SNMP network monitoring working with my Airport network.  I downloaded iNet from the App Store, which looks sweet.  Too bad it needs to know the SNMP Community String.  If you look at this image (/___sbsstatic___/migration-images/163/16325285-1.jpg) from another application's website, it shows an area under the two SNMP checkboxes where you can enter a string.  That field is not there on my version of Airport Utility (5.5.3 on Lion).  I tried entering the default 'public' and my wifi password which also didn't work.
    I've attached both the image from that site, and a screenshot from my setup.
    Help!
    Thanks,

  • SNMP Traps Other Than Switches

    Hello,
    I am running SCOM 2012 R2 and I have had SNMP traps enabled for a long time now.  I have only been monitoring my switches, but now I want to monitor other devices such as UPS's and printers.  I followed the article "How the heck do I
    get it working?" and I have no issues receiving traps from my switches.  But my printer, a Lexmark E260DN sends traps to my P.C. and I am using a free SNMP trap receiver.  It sends the traps to my SCOM server too, using the same app.  But
    SCOM does not display them.  My UPS, an APC Smart-UPS 5000, is only discovered using ICMP.  I tried discovering it using SNMPV1 and SNMPv3.  Both versions result in the same way.  I get "No Response SNMP".  It is definately
    not a firewall issue.  I have 35 other devices that are sending me traps.  34 of them are switches and the other one is the printer I just discovered.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,
    You may check Network Discovery Progress Events found in the Monitoring space
    under “Operations Manager\Network Discovery\Network Discovery Progress Events”.  Network Tracing may help also.
    In addition, please refer to the article below to troubleshoot network device discovery issues:

  • Hi, there is a game in facebook. when i open it. it again & again relods & after few relods it says that this page contains error. but in other browsers it opens easily without any problem

    the link is of a game pool live tour

    Does it work if you reload?
    How fast is your connection?
    Do you get any timeouts?
    You can try the "Firefox/Tools > Web Developer > Web Console" and enable "Net > Logging" to see if how long it takes to load content.
    Another possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
    You can check any advanced rules in the firewall to make sure that nothing is blocked.
    Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

  • Is it possible to SNMP to other devices from a router?

    Hi
    I would like to be able to issue snmpset and snmpget commands to a particular device from my router.This must be done using SNMP V3
    For example,
    snmpset -v 3 -u <user> -l authPriv -A <auth> -X <priv> -a SHA -x AES <host IP>  <OID>
    Does anyone know if this is possible?
    Thanks
    Geoff

    Hi Geoff,
    on a 7600/SRE4 I do see such a possibility:
    7600#snmp get ?
      v1   use the SNMPv1 protocol
      v2c  use the SNMPv2c protocol
      v3   use the SNMPv3 protocol
    7600#snmp get v3 ?
      WORD  IP/IPv6 address or hostname of SNMP destination
    7600#snmp get v3

  • Slow Select Query - Where clause contains Seconday index field +other flds

    Hi friends,
    The below query is taking about an Hour to execute in production server when there are about 6 Million records in PLAF table. I have verified the trace in ST05 and the correct secondary index (Material Matnr + Plant Plwrk) is being selected.
    SELECT plnum
                 matnr
                 plwrk
                 pedtr
                 dispo
                 rsnum  FROM  plaf
                INTO TABLE it_orders
                WHERE ( ( matnr  IN r_mat1 )  OR
                                 matnr IN r_mat2  AND dispo IN s_mrp1 ) AND
                 pedtr IN s_date AND
                 obart = '1'.
    Will it be a good idea to have only MATNR (secondary index field) in the where condition of the select query and delete the internal table entries for the other where conditions ?
    Edited by: Shruthi Seth on Feb 1, 2009 10:10 AM

    Hello.
    Creating a range r_mat = r_mat1 + r_mat2, I would do something like:
    READ TABLE s_mrp1 TRANSPORTING NO FIELDS INDEX 1.
    IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
      SELECT plnum matnr plwrk pedtr dispo rsnum
        FROM plaf
        INTO wa_orders
       WHERE matnr IN r_mat
         AND pedtr IN s_date
         AND obart = '1'.
        IF wa_orders-matnr IN r_mat2.
          CHECK wa_orders-dispo IN s_mrp1.
        ENDIF.
        APPEND wa_orders TO it_orders.
      ENDSELECT.
    ELSE.
      SELECT plnum matnr plwrk pedtr dispo rsnum
        FROM plaf
        INTO TABLE it_orders
       WHERE matnr IN r_mat1
         AND pedtr IN s_date
         AND obart = '1'.
    ENDIF.

  • JAXB - when java beans contain lists of each other

    I have two classes:
    class A {
    private List<B> bList;
    class B {
    private List<A> aList;

    Thanx in advance

    The CMDTUX_CAT:819 message usually means that the newly booted process died
    before it was able to synchronize with tmboot.
    In your configuration, you are able to execute tmboot but you cannot execute
    any other Tuxedo process. You may want to verify the following:
    - Does the value of TUXDIR in your TUXCONFIG file match the directory in
    your path for `whence tmboot`? If the TUXDIR in TUXCONFIG points to a
    directory containing binaries for some other hardware architecture, then it
    would be logical for all of the binaries to be unable to run.
    - Is your operating system version a version that has been certified by BEA?
    - Verify the executable file type of the binaries using "file
    $TUXDIR/bin/BBL". Does the 32-bit/64-bit setting match what you expect, and
    are the binaries for the OS that you expect?
    - Is there any outstanding shared memory on the system with the IPCKEY
    specified in $TUXCONFIG? Tuxedo will detect most such errors by examining a
    magic value, but it's possible that the magic value might accidentally match
    while the rest of the shared memory is of the wrong format.
    I hope this is of help.
