Twitter Application uninstall / Install

Hi there.
I deleted the application the other day thnking there was problems with it when it was just twitter playing up not the app itself.
I deleted it from the icon by pressing it and pressing the bin icon next to the app.
I then went to install again but still says it is installed.
I have tried to delete it from the app world but it doesn't go from choosing uninstall or delete it just stays there.
Any idea on how I can fix this problem
Thank you very much
Paul

Hi paultommo86 and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums!
Go into Settings>Software Updates then press Check for Updates. As Twitter is part of the software package, an update should be available, which should reinstall Twitter on your device.
Let me know if that works for you.
Thanks.

  • How to uninstall applications I installed from Application store?

Can anybody show me how to uninstall applications I installed from Application store?
I mean I want to remove the applications completely from my iphone, not just hide the icons.

    Page 127 of the manual:
"You can delete applications you’ve installed from the App Store. If you delete an
application, data associated with the application will no longer be available to iPhone,
even if you reinstall the application.
You can reinstall any application and any associated data from your iTunes library
as long as you backed up the application by syncing to your computer. If you try to
delete an application that hasn’t been backed up to your computer, an alert appears.
    Delete an App Store application:
1 Touch and hold any application icon on the Home screen until the icons start to
    wiggle.
2 Tap the “x” in the corner of the application you want to delete.
3 Tap Delete, then press the Home button to save your arrangement."

  • Software Center application shows Installing after it's uninstalled.

I have an odd situation.  I have an application which uninstalls from software center, gives and exit code of 0.  and is then not detected.  For all intents and purposes it should simply show available, but it shows installing, and it never
stops.  THere is nothing in appenforce to show what it's doing.  It's been 3 days and I'm at a loss.  Any help would be great.

So I've checked the following logs.
    AppIntentEval.log:
    Shows the application
    Current State= Not Installed
    Applicability= Applicable
    ResolvedState= Available
    ConfigureState= NotNeeded
    AppEnforce.log:
    Shows the application
    exit code is 0
Application has been set to force a reboot, and to not.
If no reboot, then application is not deiscovered after uninstall
Software Center is still showing the application as "Installing"  It's installing 2 MSIs in an install.cmd.  just FYI.  Any thoughts?

  • C5-00.2 Twitter Application & built in Web browser...

My phone is the Nokia C5-00.2, and I have had to do a hard re-set on it a few times to get things right, however I have noticed that when I use the pre-installed Twitter application the display falters in that instead of seeing the page as it's meant to be for a mobile it can be white instead of blue and more often than not some icons don't always load, but sometimes they do. It can't be a setting issue as they sometimes load perfectly.
Have cleared the cache etc but still no luck, so I tried un-installing the app, but when I do it keeps telling me Removal is cancelled.
Is there a way to remove it and re-install it again?, I know I can use Opera Mini, but I prefer to use the app that came with the phone.
Also is there a way to upgrade the built in web browser for this phone? the one I have is 7.3.1.26

The web browser will only be updated if it's part of a firmware update... you can check for updates using Nokia Suite on your PC/Mac.
It won't let you uninstall the twitter app as it's bundled in the firmware and is on your ROM - these apps cannot be removed.
Try re-installig your firmware using Nokia suite to see if this helps. Or use another twiter app such as tweets60 or Gravity.
If I have helped you, please hit the star at the bottom of my posts - it's appreciated!
Don't forget if your problem is solved to press the "Accept as Solution" button.

  • I installed Itunes on my Vista, but error reads that there was no Apple Application Support installed and Itunes needs this in order to run

    I need to back up my iphone 5s on my old PC running Windows Vista SP2. After installing the proper iTunes that would run on Vista, I get an error as follows;
"Apple Application Support was not found. Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes. Please uninstall iTunes and install iTunes again. Error 2 (Windows error 2)"
I will appreciate any help. Thanks

With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR suitable for your PC (there's a 32-bit Windows version and a 64-bit Windows version):
    http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, see if iTunes will launch without the error now.
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

    Hi there,
I am also experiencing this problem, but with 1.4.2_06. Last week (late Jan 2005) the dynamic versioning was working fine, downloading and installing the latest version of Java as required.
However now (early Feb 2005), I am finding that after downloading the latest version of Java and beginning the install, I am getting this error.
I was hoping that you may have heard of a cause or solution for this problem?
    Many thanks

  • Knowing what Applications are installed

    Hi,
Coming from Windows I find it difficult to find out what applications are installed on my mac. I know I can just look in the Applications folder but I am going to be upgrading to Leopard later this week and before then I would like an easy way of listing and printing off all my currently installed applications so after the Leopard upgrade I can test out what does not work and if there's no Leopard version of an app. I can uninstalled if it's not a necessity.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks.

    HI erugalatha,
Since you are coming from Windows, FYI, where in Windows you use the Control Panel to install or uninstall programs, on a Mac, to delete an application, just drag the application folder to the Trash, then empty the Trash. Simple as that.
Also, here's a link to more information about Universal and Mac downloads:
    Universal and Mac
And, after you install Leopard, always a good idea to run Disk Utility from the Applications/Utilties folder and Repair Disk Permissions. Here is how to do that:
In Disk Utility, select the disk in the list. Click First Aid.
Click Verify Disk Permissions to test permissions or Repair Disk Permissions to test and repair permissions.

  • Would time machine be able to backup applications I installed and registered such as Adobe CS6 Master collection?

    Hi,
So I have purchased some seriously expesive software such as Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection and Office Mac Home & Business and would like to know if the time machine backup includes this ****? If not, will there be any backup utility to have the **** saved??
    Thanks,
    Hassan

Time Machine will backup applications along with your files and the operating system. However some applications have measures built-in that tie the particular installed copy to the particular machine it was originally installed on. You might think therefore that restoring it from the Time Machine backup to the same machine should be straight forward and depending on the application it might be so. However it depends on how it determines if it is the same machine.
It is unlikely to be as simple as just the serial number of the machine, it might be the hardware UUID of the Mac which I believe would stay the same even after a complete reformat but the UUID might change after a logic board change unlike the serial number. (Apple generally copy the serial number to a new replacement logic board when doing repairs.) It might also be linked to the UUID of the hard disk volume the Application is installed on. This will change each time you format the disk or use a different disk or volume. It could be tied to something else as well.
You can find the Mac serial number and UUID in System Profiler. You can find the UUID of a volume by using the following command in Terminal.app
    e.g. diskutil info /dev/disk0s2
For the command above you need to use the numbers that match the volume you are interested in, you can get a list of all the numbers and which volume they correspond to via
    diskutil list
Of course knowing the UUID numbers does not help if Adobe are indeed using them to tie a particular installed copy since you cannot change the UUID numbers yourself. If you are deliberately planning to swap a drive or do a restore then for such protected applications like those from Adobe and Microsoft it is best to deactivate the installed copy (Adobe also use Product Activation to track installed copies) and then uninstall it. Then like Gary Scotland said, use the installer to reinstall it.
Note: Even cloning a drive does not preserve the UUID values of a volume.

  • Application Catalog - Installing as Different User?

We're in the process of gradually rolling out the Application in our organization in phases.  Eventually we want to roll it out to end users for anything site licensed.  But we aren't ready to go there yet.
We essentially have two sets of applications.  The "user set" is All site-licensed software while the "technician set" is all site-licensed software and some departmental software.  Technicians are instructed as to which users
get which software but, unfortunately, it can't strictly be done by OUs as AD is a mess and that makes it an annoyingly manual process.
First, we rolled the technician set out for technicians building machines.  We haven't implemented imaging yet as there are some business process issues but this is working as a good transitional step to get the technicians used to SCCM and the Application
Catalog. We ran into a couple of minor but reasonably documented issues (for instance, our client settings had the web alias rather than server name so we had the "Protected Mode" problems) but there were easy enough workarounds (run as admin) and
    then eventually fixes.
Desktop technicians were given an application set next and it worked well for them.  We have most anything install for all users so they would log in, use the Application Catalog, install the software, and then turn the computer back over to the user.
Currently, we were hoping to roll it out for the Service Desk. However, this requires them to log into someone else's machine and run IE using their technician admin credentials rather than it being the user's credentials.  They use the standard Windows
Remote Assistance as a remote tool and we'd like them to be able to install or re-install anything from the technician set.
Unfortunately, this leads to the following "Application Installation not started" error (presumably point 2):
Before encountering the error, we thought a good workaround would be to run IE as another user but that violates point 3 and we get the same error.
And the Silverlight logs (ConfigMgrSoftwareCatalog.log - btw, I love the path you have to wander down to find them) give the following 3 error messages:
    * ApplicationDetailViewModel.InstallAppProgression-Error:User is not allowed or supported to install on the current machine
    * ApplicationDetailViewModel.UpdatePageView:PageViewMode changed to:FastInstallError
    * FastInstallPageView:Create Page View FastInstallError
Which follow what the error message says: it's basically a permissions issue.
So, we have two constraints that I'm looking to work around:
    * We need a catalog that only technicians have access to and not end users (it's one thing for a technician to go off the reservation and install 10 additional unneeded copies but it's another to open it up for 30K users to do the same)
    * The technicians need to be able to access it when another user is logged in
Is there a possible solution that I'm overlooking?  Some client setting or workaround?
TL;DR: Is there a way to use some a different user's credential to install applications via the Application catalog (because they have a different application set) when another user is logged in?

    Hi,
Yes, that would be the way. as we target users the correct way would be to target the end-user with the application and either use remote tools or remote assistance to assist troubleshoot if any issues occour. If a technician would log on and install the
application the Primary device concept could not be used either.

  • I can't uninstall/install FireFox due to a pop-up that says: Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of Firefox..."

This problem arose when I attempted to upgrade my existing FireFox browser to the new FireFox 7. I clicked through the auto-update, but didn't think that anything changed, as the browser didn't look like the image in the feature explanation image I was viewing. I then tried to download Firefox 7, and when I tried to instal it, this process began.
I can't uninstall/install FireFox due to a pop-up that says: Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of Firefox..." When restarted and attempted again, the same pop up appears and I am stuck in an infinite loop.
I cannot locate the Mozilla file within my program files to try and delete cantankerous upgrade components, which seems to resolve this issue for many people. See: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/796566
I also tried completely deleting Firefox, which didn't work either-- I ended up doing a system restore, only to be met with the same infinite loop.
Now, when I click on the Mozilla icon, nothing happens. No window opens, no error message, nothing.
Why can't I find the Mozilla folder in my Programs File but can see it in Control Panel "Add or Remove Programs" (though I can't uninstal due to infinite loop)?

It is probably because you are not properly closing Firefox. Restarting your system would make sure that Firefox had terminated, but you do not have to do that.
To properly close Firefox on Windows systems, use
:File > Exit or "Firefox:" button > Exit
When you get the message "Firefox is already running" it is too late, and you must force termination of Firefox through the Windows Task Manager before restarting Firefox. Windows 7 has a keyboard shortcut to save you a step "Ctrl+Shift+Esc" then on "Processes" tab, select "firefox.exe" and use the "End Process" button. More thorough would be to right-click on the "firefox.exec" and choose "End Process Tree".
You would find firefox.exe in a Mozilla folder in your program files, but y0u would not want to delete it there, you would need to use the Control Panel which you have already identified and do it from there -- but generally you would not need to do that, and there is nothing in what you have posted to indicate that you should. But if you did do that, then don't let the install start Firefox for you as you would want to use you existing desktop icon or method of starting Firefox, and should decline having Firefox install start Firefox for you. When the install starts then invoke Firefox in your normal manner. This should eliminate problems of creating a new profile rather than using your old profile.

  • How to recognize if application is installed using "Install Application on Remote Desktop" option on Windows Server 2008 R2

How to recognize if application is installed using "Install application on remote desktop..." option in Control Panel in Windows Server 2008 R2?
Basically, as administrator, I can't say if the user installed application using "Install application on remote desktop..." in Control Panel or he just installed it by clicking the .msi executable. I can't find anything that makes any difference.
I could not find anything in the registry. I am quite confused.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Thank you for your posting in Windows Server Forum.
Please make sure that you are using category view of control panel-programs to check the application. And in addition to “install application on Remote Desktop server” user can also use command line also.
    change user /install
    change user /execute
    change user /query
“The first time you run the application, it searches the home directory for its .ini files. If the .ini files are not found in the home directory, but are found in the system directory, Terminal Services copies the .ini files to the home directory, ensuring
that each user has a unique copy of the application .ini files. Each user should have a unique copy of the .ini files for an application. This prevents instances where different users might have incompatible application configurations.” (Quoted formthis
    article).
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks,

  • If I no longer have the old application Backup installed on my Mac (part of the .Mac subscription), do I still need the folder called Backup, that is in my Library in the Application Support folder?

If I no longer have the old application Backup installed on my Mac (for performing scheduled backups of data on the computer), do I need the folder called Backup, that is in my Hard Drive, to Library, to the Application Support folder?  (There is no Backup folder in my Home Folder, to Library, to the Application Support folder.)
Backup was part of the .Mac subscription I used to have, and I have not used it since I gave up being a .Mac subscriber many years ago.  In fact I recall Apple saying at one point that they no longer supported the Backup Application.  I assume the Backup folder is just remnants from when I used to have that application, however I could be wrong, and don't want to trash the folder unwisely.
As I looked through the various items in the Backup folder, nothing appears to be modified since 2007, which further confirms that this folder is from long ago when I used to have that application.  I did notice that the main Backup folder itself was the only thing that had a more current modification date on it.  That date coincides with the date that I installed Snow Leopard on my Mac earlier this year.  But I'm assuming that any operating system software installation will place a modification date on all the various folders of one's computer, with the date the new OS was installed.
Any insight will be appreciated!  Thank you!

Since it has always been very basic to backup your computer and all it's data, Apple provides no way for you to transfer music from your iPhone back to your computer.  As you know, you can re-download all iTunes purchases, but music that you ripped yourself you'll have to just re-rip again.
You can try and find 3rd party applications that might help you.  I'm sure you'll pay, however.
Let this be a very important lesson learned.
    Best.

I've downloaded the latest "Oracle Database - Oracle Clusterware and Oracle Real Application Clusters Install Guide - 10g Release 2 (10.2) for HP-UX PA-RISC" (part no. B14202-01) dated August 2005 from OTN. I'm getting the following error when opening the pdf file in Adobe Reader:
"Cannot extract the embedded font 'PEPPLC+Palatino-Italic'. Some characters may not display or print properly."
When I print the manual, I get blank pages throughout the document which, in my opinion, should contain text and don't. Specifically pages 1-11, 2-5, 2-19, 2-24, 2-33, 3-5, 3-19 to name a few. When I go to those pages within the pdf file in Adobe Reader, I get the error: "There was a problem reading this document (114)."
Can you verify this problem on your end. Also, how do I get a good copy of this document?

    Hi!
Apologies for the delay in responding to you. Please try the documentation library, part B19306-01 at URL: http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/database10gR2.html. Search for the part B14202-01 and click: pdf at top right. Part B14202-01 documentation pdf is currently displaying and printing on this end. The blank pages at the end of each main topic are inserted on purpose.

  • All Desktop Applications Uninstall, uncontrolled

Ever since we upgraded our Zen Server to 6.5 SP2, we have encoutnered
problems whereby sporadic users will have all of their applications
uninstall. All Desktops are running the Management Agent 6.5 SP2 as
    well.
It appears that what happens is when the Zen management agent refreshes
(set to every 2 hours) it goes out to read what applicaitons the user has
authority to. That check returns a status of NO APPLICATIONS authorized
and results in the Zen Management Agent to say, OK, allow me to uninstall
all applications. The user then reboots and logs back in and of course
all applications now reinstall for the user.
Unassociate Days to Uninstall = 0
We need this set to Zero so that when we remove applicaitons from a user
the applications do in fact uninstall at next refresh of 2 hours or their
    next login.
It is unacceptable to assume that we need to remove this setting from all
users to lock their applications on the desktop until we do perform an
upgrade. We are a company of 700 employees with many many OU's. It's a
maintenance nightmare tryin to deploy new applications and takes way to
long for the employees on vacation to return before we can continue
    deploying new applications.
So the question is, someone else out there has got to be running into
this situation. This can't be just us. HOW DO YOU HANDLE THIS ISSUE?

Correct, they are not assigned via workstation object, they are assigned
to the OU and or User and it doesn't matter which. Happens to both.
Never started happening until we went to 6.5 and we haven't had anyone
that can help us to date.
