I feel as though I am forced into repairing the iphone before I can backup the information (photos, videos, contacts). If the apple ID on the device is the same as the one on my iMac I do not understand why I have to unlock the iphone by typing in the 4 digit passcode. This is a little ******** as having the screen break seems to be the usual prpblem with the iphone, I want to be able to backup my files when I feel the obvious need to do so (eg. when it breaks)! I also believe I shouldn't have to use other apps for backing it up (which I obviously have to pay for).. I am rather angry with this issue.

Okay folkes, you were right and I was wrong.. I admit it. But I was pretty mad though when I tryed to backup the last few contacts I needed for work and couldn't do so. Worst things are when something gets broken (by me or whatever) when there is an emergency. I needed the contacts off of that phone real fast and couldn't do it, thats what got me real mad. And btw I am a Russian living in Moscow and instead of having an official Apple store we have shopes called ReStore who resell apple devices with ridiculous prices, same thing with the repairs. It is cheaper to sometimes buy a new iphone then repair an old one.. So there.. but I repaired it and now happy again with my apple device.. Also I know the itunes and icloud are free and I do back it up, this time however I couldn't use them and had to try the iphone extractor app, which is not free. There.. I would like to get the new MAC MINI, but I was wondering whether I could somehow just keep my old mac mini as a storage drive and continue to use its DVD drive since the new mini doesn't have one. Has anyone out there done this? If not, what is the best way to transfer data from one mini to another?

In a 6i form cursor I need to select all the dates between two provided dates. I have two text fields FLD1 and FLd2 with date datatype. There is no table behind both the fields.
For example
:FLD1:='01-MAR-2013';
:FLD2:='10-MAR-2013';
Now I have to select all the dates from 01-mar-2013 to '10-mar-2013'. how to do it?

Look at classes Calendar and SimpleDateFormat.
And get your abstraction straight: you don't have two dates. You have two Strings that represent a date. To use them, you have to convert them to Date objects first with SDF.

Displaying all the dates eventhough there no value

I designed Month to date sales query, its showing day wise sales, requirement is
when we don't have any sales on that perticular day that date will not appear(because we are getting data from cube if there no date there obviously we won't get that to query)
but i need to show all the dates even though if there no sales.
OR
let me know how can we display the last 30 sales values(say today is 15.09.2010 we need to show the from today to backward 30 sales happend days) if there no sales on any date we should consider that date.
actually this query designed for BO there are showing in graph if there no date in that graph gap will appear between the dates.
to over come this we need to show all the dates.

You'll need to create a structure containing date characteristic with selection based on variable offset.
Example input date USER_DATE, then create entry in structure with selection offset USER_DATE-0, USER_DATE-1,... USER_DATE-30
That way regardless whether your key figure has value or is zero, it will still be displayed.

I would prefer process chain, not program.
Create new process chain include data target deletion component and PSA deletion component. (Include corrosponding DSO/Cube/PSA names).
Run process chain.
Else you can search for FMs to delete contents from your targets.

Are you currently working on a tryout of Premiere Elements 12 downloaded from Adobe?
If so, you do not have to buy from Adobe. You can purchase the version from an authorized reseller of
the product.
At that point, you can leave the 12 tryout installed and just install your purchased serial number from
the authorized reseller or uninstall the tryout and just install the purchased product with its serial number.
When you open a tryout 12 project file (with Adobe watermark) in a purchased Premiere Elements 12, the
Adobe watermark should disappear
a. if you use Timeline/Delete Rendered Files
or
b. do nothing...so of us have found that just opening the tryout file in a purchased product removes the Adobe
watermark automatically.

Are you talking about the Adobe watermark? You will not lose the projects, but whether or not the Adobe watermark
is removed in a purchased version which is not the version in which it was created is of concern.

Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option (alt) key (shift on Windows), then guide it to the new location of the library.

I don't think you're on iOS 5, I think you're using iOS 6. That's the latest version.
Unless you've used iCloud to back up your documents, you won't be able to restore them. And for future reference, you don't have to uninstall Pages to update your iPad anymore. Sorry about this.

Hey, this is my first post on Apple Support Communities because I'm usually able to solve any iPhone problem by doing extensive googling... However this time it seems that I've hit a roadblock. To get a decent idea of my situation, here's some basic info and a breakdown of what's been going on:
-I have an iPhone 4S
-Approximately 1 month ago I tried downloading a Gmail app and it got stuck on "Waiting" mode.
-When this first happened I tried to exit out of it during wiggle mode but there was no "X", so I just left it alone.
-Recently I've been noticing my battery has been draining terribly since the app got stuck on waiting, so I've made it a point to try just about every possible solution I could find online (hard reset of the phone, signing in and out of the apple store, checking purchases, resetting all settings, etc.)
-None of these proposed solutions worked, so I made an appointment with the Apple Store. I brought it in yesterday hoping they would be able to do a quick fix, only to find out they could not fix it, and that the only way to get rid of the waiting app battery drain issue would be to completely wipe the phone.
-The main problem I'm having here, however, is that I used to have a computer but it died a little while ago... so I've just been using the iPhone without syncing it to a computer (all of the music I got from CD's is still on my iPhone and I don't want to lose it).
-Since I can't back up my phone with a computer, I backed it up to iCloud last night for the first time. This took about 2 hours, and supposedly was successful, however I then remembered iCloud does not backup the music on your device that came from CD's. The Apple Store employee had told me I could use iTunes Match if I needed to backup all of my music and I no longer had a computer... However I looked into it only to find that you DO need a computer for iTunes Match.
So my question is, how can I backup all of my music without a computer? Is there an app that has been known to do this well? I just want to be able to backup all of my songs right on my iPhone, wipe the phone, and then be able to restore all the music back onto the phone somehow.
Any help or insight into this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Since it has always been very basic to backup your computer and all it's data, Apple provides no way for you to transfer music from your iPhone back to your computer. As you know, you can re-download all iTunes purchases, but music that you ripped yourself you'll have to just re-rip again.
You can try and find 3rd party applications that might help you. I'm sure you'll pay, however.
Let this be a very important lesson learned.
