Two different apple IDs/two different iClouds - help! I had a Yahoo e-mail when I bought my iPod and registered it/set up my iTunes acct with it. Gmail acct w/ my iPad due to virus, now 2 apple ids and 2 iclouds, can I merge them somehow?

When I set up my iPod I had a Yahoo email account, and I set up my iTunes acct. with it. It got hacked, viral, and I closed it. When I got my iPad2, I had a gmail account, and set it up w/ that email account. As a result, I was given a different apple id - stupid of me. This also resulted in me getting a different iCloud. When I got my iPhone, I used my iPod account (linked to a newly set up Yahoo account), because I wanted all of my iTunes song on my phone. So now I have two apple ID's and two iClouds, and my phone and my iPad are on separate iClouds. I hate it, and I don't know if I can somehow merge the two. I want to buy additional iCloud storage, but only if I can do so on ONE account that is for both devices. Does anyone know if/how I can accomplish this?  Thanks so much.

I ahve two itunes accounts with different Apple ID's.  How can I merge them into one account?

Apple has no provisions for this. You cannot merge multiple Apple ID's into one ID. Content is always tied to the Apple ID that was used to purchase it.

  • I have 2 Apple ID's. I bought all my music on first one. Now, update/sync doesn't pick up musiuc bc using a new Apple ID.... can i merge them onto my iPhone?

I have 2 Apple ID's (the old one and my newer one - attached to a new email address).
I bought all my music on first one.
Update/sync doesn't pick up music bc using a new Apple ID.... can I merge them onto my iPhone?

    No.
Content bought using one Apple ID cannot be merged or transferred to another Apple ID.
All content is forever tied to the Apple ID used to obtain them.

  • Have two apple IDs.  Can I merge them somehow?

I have two apple IDs.  One from before icloud - ends in sbcglobal.net.  When icloud became available, somehow I created a new apple ID ending in me.com.  Is there some way that I can merge them so that I have only one apple ID to manage?  I have two desktop Macs, an iPad, and an iPhone 5.

No, Apple does not allow to merge AppleIDs. You can just stop using one of them.

  • I have two cell phone, different numbers.  Each has their own apple id.  How can i merge them so apps on one show on the other but keep their emails addresses separate on their own phone?

Have two cell phones, different numbers.  Each has their own apple id.  How can I merge them so apps purchased on one phone show on the other.  But.as each has their own email address, I want to keep these email addresses separate on their own phone?  Thanks.

We do this in my family now.  We have one account for purchases, so it is used to share music and apps (I think that is in Settings/iTunes & App Stores).  Each iDevice has this configured.
Then, each of us has our own iCloud account that is configured under Settings/iCloud.  That then allows us to have our own Mail/Contacts/Calendars/Reminders/Safari Bookmarks/Notes/Passbook/Photo Stream/Documents & Data/Find My iPhone/and Backup.  That Backup piece is pretty sweet and comes in handly if you replace your iDevice.  You can just restore from it.
So we all share the Apple Store account but we all have our own iCloud accounts to keep the rest seperate or things like you mentioned are a nightmare.
In answer to what iCloud does for you: http://www.apple.com/icloud/features/
Think of it as an internet based ("cloud") area for all of those items listed in my response.  What you need to remember is photo stream only maintans the last 1000 pictures so don't count it as a complete backup solution for your pictures.  Even though I rarely sync with a computer these days, I do still try to sync my phone with iPhoto (I have an iMac) so that I have copies of all of my pictures.  1000 may not stretch as far as it sounds.

  • I have iTune accounts under two separate Apple IDs.  Can I merge them into one account under one ID?

I have iTune accounts under two separate Apple IDs.  Can I merge them into one account under one ID?  I have purchased music and video in both.

No, it is not possible to merge accounts.  Choose one as the primary account and keep a local backup of all purchases so you don't get into the mess where you encounter a 90 day freeze on re-downloading past purchases from multiple accounts.

    you can't.

a single iTunes can be authorized for up to five iTunes store accounts (Apple IDs). a library thusly set up will sync content purchased with any of the five Apple IDs to any device.

  • HT4847 I have two iCloud accounts, one with 10GB and one with 20GB...how can I merge them into the 20GB plan?

I have two iCloud plans.  One with 10GB that backs up my 1Phone and iPad.  I also have a 20GB plan for my iMAC and MAC BookPro.  How can I merge them so that I only have one plan and one iCloud to manage?    My first instinct is to delete the one on my iPhone/iPad and add the iMac plan, but I don't want to do it without an expert opinion.

No, accounts cannot be merged.  Am I an expert?  I only know what I've read here numerous times regarding merging of plans - the answer is always emphatically NO.  Since this is a user-to-user forum (Apple doesn't participate here), you'll have to do some searching about on this topic and either accept or reject the "common" advice.

  • I have two icloud accounts can I merge them

I have two icloud accounts can I merge them?
    TIA
    Sandy

what information exactly do you want to consolidate? you can sever the connection between some info on your device from an icloud account and merge it into another account when you sign into it after, but you can't just merge the two accounts in their entirety. if you're more specific about the info, i can help you out

I seem to have at least 3 apple IDs Can I merge them into 1?

As said, you cannot merge accounts, nor transfer addresses from one account to another. You can add additional iCloud accounts to your Mac in System Preferences>Mail, Contacts and Calendars where they will appear alongside the main account. (Also on an iOS device in Settings><Mail, Contacts & Calendars).

    Dear Brian:
Create a Play List in iTunes.
Control-Click and open "Export" in the highlighted Playlist in iTunes.
    With "Export" opened:
    1. Click on "Format" and choose "M3U";
    2. In "Save As" name your "WhatEverNamePlaylist.m3u"; and
    3. In "Where" tell the program where to send your "WhatEverNamePlaylist.m3u".
You are done creating the Playlist.m3u in iTunes.
    Open "Subsonic Web Page".
Left hand column open "Import playlist".
In "Import playlist" click "Choose File" and open the "WhatEverNamePlaylist.m3u"; you created in iTunes.
The "WhatEverNamePlaylist.m3u" should now occupy the space between "Choose File" and "OK".
    Click "OK".
The file should now be in the "Playlist" on the left.

I have two itunes accounts, can I merge them?

No, not at the same time. You can use two different Apple ID/iTunes accounts on one iPad, but it is not advisable since you can lock yourself out of one of the ID's for 90 days if you download previously purchased content using the second ID.
