Two Laptop Computers, Latitude-XP & Prasario-Vista both with 4.0.1 are having trouble keeping navagation window visable even with navagation checked. Any other reports of the same?
I have been using firefox for a few years now. I like it better than I-explorer but in the last version, 4.0.1 I am having problems accessing the navigation window.
On two computers: Dell Latitude D530 running XP with XP standard browser. The other is a HP Compaq Presario CQ50 running Vista and Stardock Windowblinds.
Both computers have the same problem with the current version of Firefox only. The navigation window will not stay displayed. I right click to view that the navigation option is checked but navigation is not there. If I right click and pick options, the navigation window suddenly appears but when I pick done, it disappears again.
I either have to use a bookmark to navigate where I want or go to my Google search bookmark to get where I want.

I don't even see an extension by that name at the official Add-ons website - AMO. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/
If you installed that extension from anywhere except for AMO I would expect Sync to just ignore it.

As far as how Sync would handle versions of the same extension, but for different operating systems or OS versions - I would like to see an example of such an extension, that is the exact same extension ''[but maybe different version numbers]'' that is hosted at AMO.
Also, Sync doesn't actually "synchronize" extensions, it "installs" the same extension that is "noted" as being installed on one device, and installs those same extensions on the other devices that don't have the same extensions.
And that creates another problem ''[IMO]'', the preferences don't get "sync'd" '''''if''''' an extension isn't specifically made to be compatible with Sync. There is no "standard" at AMO for add-on extension authors to "tell" users that their extension is specifically compatible with Sync, as far as synchronizing preferences and "data" is concerned.

I have 4 computers running Adobe CC under two different accounts (as 1 account can only be installed on two computers) i need it on a 5th computer now, do i need another account or can i set up something so all 5 run from the same account making it easier?

Two reports in the same section
Hi all
I would like two have 2 different reports in the same section one near to the other (not bellow).
The dashboard page should look like

is there a way to do that cause I only could add sections vertically and horizontally (not able to put a report next to the other in the same section)??
RegardsAdd both reports to the same section and click on 'Properties' button on section header. Check "Arrange Horizontally" and both the reports will be displayed side by side.

I have 2 different MacBooks (owned by 2 people) connected to the same Time Capsule over a wifi network. I want to use the Time Capsule to back up both MacBooks separately from each other. Can one person access the hard drive of the other person, on the same Time Capsule? Is there a way to ensure that the files on the 2 laptops are kept private from each other? Thanks!

Security on a Time Capsule is a bit like installing a lock on a tent. It will keep the honest folks out, but probably not the others. -

Ever since installing iCloud and Lion my computer is slow or freezes. The color wheel comes on and My work stops. I have only a small window of time where my computers will function normally during the day. I know many others that have the same problem. I'll get 20-30 minutes of work done and then a sync or something comes on, the color wheel of death shows up, and my productivity is shot. I have to shut the computer down the hard way! when it comes back up, it is still either frozen or slow. I've checked in at the genius bar and all they say is that there have been some problems that Apple is trying to fix. It effects Mail, Contacts, Safari, Calendar....yeah, pretty much everything. My iPhone and iPad are not effected as much so I end up doing what I can with them. I've seen the blogs out there and understand that many have the same problem. I have been waiting to read about a fix but I have found nothing! Any ideas?
Not enough free space on the startup disk can slow the system down.
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure there's a minimum of 15% free disk space.
For startup issues... open System Preferences > Users & Groups - Login Items. Delete any apps listed there then restart your mac.
And disable the Lion "resume" feature.
Open System Preferences > General
Deselect: Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps
And Spotlight may be indexing... you can turn that off > Turning Off Spotlight | Mac Tricks And Tips -
Can you charge a macbook by any other means than the power cord? For example the usb drive? My cord works fine but the outlet on the laptop is not.

Since upgrading, both our wireless printers are still visible, but OSX will not connect with them. Both work via connecting from other sources via the same wireless router (airport). What do I need to do to get my printing/scanning working again?
First thing to try is reset Printing System:
OS X Mavericks: Reset the printing system
Next would be reset the router (power off 15 secs then back on). And, 2 minutes later, reset the printers 1 by 1. -

When Two users trying to access the same server and need to access the report for scheduling at the same time, does that lead to Deadlock Situation?
What are the Odd's in such scenarios?

ShivaWhen two users are say trying to schedule the same report at the same time - the relevant Job server has default capacity of running 5 concurrent jobs at a time (this value can be increased) - that means, it can run 5 schedules at the same time.
Let's say now two users have scheduled 6 reports - now the 5 reports that were scheduled will be in the "running" state but the server has only 5 concurrent job capacity so the 6th report schedule will stay "pending" until any one of the existing jobs are completed, and then the 6th report will start "running".
There is nothing called deadlock while scheduling. While viewing the reports, there are enough resources available in the BO system to make the report available for various users at the same time.

My husband and I both have an iphone5. I had mine first and setup my itunes account. When we purchased his phone we sent up another itunes account but on the same computer. Now we are running into problems, especially when he wants to set up playlists from his music to his phone and in general with synching. should we start over with just one itunes account and both use that with the one computer?
By the sounds of it you have linked Email Accounts, if so this means that you will both recieve the majority of the same Emails, and if you do and you read them on your account (which is linked with your husbands) then they will appear to read on the both of them because they are linked. With the majority of Email providers these days they're Emails are (simplified) in the cloud you could say, meaning that if you read or delete shared Emails then it will do the same on both accounts rather than just the yours.

There are 2 Users on my iMac. Each User has their own email account. Both account Mailboxes show up in each User's account. If I delete a Mailbox in one account, does it delete the same Mailbox in the other Account?
If you click the - sign in Mail preferences, it will delete that mail account. If you just delete the Mailbox, that will just delete the Mailbox.
Each user can put their own email account information in Mail when logged into their User Account.
If you don't want the other user's mail account to show up in your mail application, then make sure the other user's messages are available to them when they are logged into their account and delete the other user account from Mail in your User Account. The other user can do the same when logged into their user account. Any messages stored in one locally will have to be transfered to the other's user account if it's not saved in their user login.
In addition, instead of deleting the account at first, highlight the account and open the Advanced Tab and disable the account. That email account will dissappear from Mail. Once you decide that you don't want the account, you can delete it. If you need to get back to it to transfer messages, just re enable it.
