Two ldapsync on single OVD/OID instance

Hi,
We have OIM 11gR1 installation where we have enabled LDAP sync with OVD/OID 11.1.1.5. The LDAP sync is provisioning the users under contains dc=oim11gR1,dc=com
We have installed OIM 11gR2. I was just wondering if we can use the same OVD/OID and enable the LDAP sync under OID container dc=oim11gR2,dc=com? Has anyone done such kind of installation. Is there any conflict in adapters that OIM post LDAPSync configuration will deploy?

Whats you are doing does not qualify under distributed transaction. Please read about distributed transaction from below link

To unregister from weblogic:
opmnctl unregisterinstance <OVD/OID instance name>
To delete the instance(s):
opmnctl deleteinstance <OVD/OID instance name>
To remove the binaries run setup from the oui/bin directory:
runInstaller -deinstall

HTMLDB as Partner Application to TWO OID instances - Authentication Schemes

For reasons I won't go into here, we have TWO Oracle OID/SSO instances running - independently.
I am interested in having HTMLDB / APEX applications capable of authenticate against either one. (one at a time, but on the same engine installation)
We have done the PARTNER APPLICATION registration which works well against one of the OID instances. Records have been entered into the WWSEC_ENABLER_CONFIG_INFO$ table and everything works as expected.
What option do I have to register the HTMLDB engine with a SECOND OID/SSO as a partner application and then allow the developers the ability to choose which authentication scheme applies?
What I have observed is that the package given (custom_auth_sso) has built in
g_partner_app_name varchar2(2000) := 'HTML_DB';
Is it possible to duplicate that type of functionality, or is there something deeper ingrained into the engine that I do not understand?

I am working under a model similar to your case number two.
Application 1 uses OID A
Application 2 uses OID B
I am going under the assumption that if there were two records in the config_info$ table, that I would need some type of ability to inform the WWV_FLOW_CUSTOM_AUTH_SSO package to switch between them.
I guess what I am missing is the mechanics. I am trying to avoid having to re-write the WWV_FLOW_CUSTOM_AUTH_SSO package by hand. Besides the package body being compiled, I do not know how that authentication scheme is called by HTMLDB/APEX. I have been using the Oracle Application Server Single Sign-On (HTML DB Engine as Partner App) scheme. This leaves most of the Authentication scheme pretty blank with the exception of the Session Not Valid URL ( populated with PORTAL_SSO-) and the logout URL. Magically it works though.
If I had TWO schemes registered in the config_info$, how would I indicate which scheme to use?
Do I have the capability of working with what has already been provided, or am I destined to writing a custom scheme because of the decision which needs to be made?

Run two Database in single server

Hi...
I want to run two database into single server. For that I had created one another database.
But now I am not able to connect with two database at the same time.
When I am going to connect to another database i have to shutdown the first one.
Is it possible to connect and work on two database at the same time?

You should have a good enough to have two or more instances running on the same machine.
The performance of a single instnace will always be better compared to having two or more instances on the same machine.

The second machine performance is much better compared to the first machine that has mutiple instances.
Normally CREATE DATABASE is used by advance users while DBCA is relatively easy to use.

OID instance not showing up on the Internet Directory page

The customer is trying to get iasconsole to display performance metrics, but OID instance does not show up on Internet Directory page. This is a clustered OID install and this only appears to occur on the clustered OID consoles. Fanout nodes display correctly. The customer also tried the suggestion in note 363483.1 but it did not correct the issue.
Any inputs appreciated.

How to specify Single in memory instance of a jar in an ear

i have an ear, containing 3 wars and 2 jars. these jar files are utility jar. and one of them has business logic lets say it application.jar. All the three wars use this jar. When ever a war file uses this jar, it gets its seperate memory instance. i want to make all the three wars use same single in memory instance of application.jar. but i dont know how to specify it. i am using websphere6.1. it will be great if someone can help me. thnx

My problem is I tryed to save a FXG file containing images into a swf that will be able to change images sources dynamically.
To do that, I create an empty FLA document (using JSFL), I import the FXG file into the scene.
If I export my file into SWF in which I have injected this ActionSctipt :

I think I cannot change the source of a MovieClip using ActionScript. Maybe I'm wrong ?
So I would like to replace these objects (using JSFL) with UILoaders and setting the same x,y,width,height,source and then I will be able to change their sources using ActionScript.

Is there a single snmp oid for flash and dram ?

Does a single univeral oid (or 1 for flash and one for dram) exist that will provide total amount of flash and total amount of dram across all chassis families ?

Measuring power at two different point (single phase)

I am new user of LabVIEW 2013 with electrical power suite.
May i know how to measure two different point of single phase system using the same VI such as in DAQ power and energy example?
As I notice that there are several type of wiring available. Is only one voltage and one current availabe during 1 ph voltage and 1 current selection. Thus, when I select 3ph voltage and 2 current, the value I obtain is not seem to be true.
From the figure attached, I want to measure the voltage at current at the solar/PV to obtain the power value. Other than that, I also need to measure the voltage and current at the load such as water heater. This is a single phase configuration network.
(2 voltage and 2 current measurement at single phase)

OVD/OID installation/staticports.ini /Please help!

I am trying to install Weblogic admin server on port 7003 and OID on 7004.
How to create staticport.ini file for these ports?
I would apprecaite it if you provide staticport.ini example for OVD/OID/Weblogic installation.
I tried to use this one below. It did not work

quick check is the following:
1. is the listener up
2. is the database up
3. can you ping the database server from the AS server
4. is the database accepting connections - try logging in from a remote client via sql*plus
5. do you have the correct user credentials

Two button with single function

I want to create two buttons for single function and one button for one function. For example, I click button1, the screen will show "clicked1"
If I clicked button2, the screen will show "clicked2". If I click button1 and then click button2, it will show "two button are clicked". However, it does not work in two button with single function. What is the problem? Here is the code.

Error when changing OID instance SSL port to 636

I have OID 11.1.1.6 instance running on port 3065 for it's SSL port. I wanted to change the SSL port to 636 from the em console. When I request to change it, it says it was successful...restart the OID server. Once the OID instance is restarted and comes back up, I get an error "Failed to load server configuration" Check the Internet Directory Server logs. Possible Error: "<hostname>:636>
Do I need to run/restart other services for this change?
I also tried extending the domain and creating a new instance using the staticports.ini. I specified the SSL port in there at 636 and ran the oracleRoot.sh script but get the same error when I look at it in em console.

Newbie: Create new OID instance

Hello,
I've been tasked with bringing up Oracle Access Manager 10g using OID as the directory server on a Windows Server 2003 box.
In the installation document and the install wizard it allows me to store policy and configration data in seperate OID instances.
Up to this point I have allowed the install wizard to automatically install OID schema changes to the port 389 instance. I now want to store policy data separately in an instance listening on port 390 but I can't figure out how to startup a new instance on port 390.
I have been trying to do this following instructions in Oracle Internet Directory Administrator's Guide and using the Windows Oracle Directory Manager UI but without any luck.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated

If you need to install the software on a separate host you need to use Oracle Installer.
If you just need a separate OID server on an existing host you need to configure a new config set for OID.
Here you can use Oracle Directory Manager to do this (in the server management section of ODM). You can also use ldapmodify with the config parameters specified in a LDIF file.
