My mac help wont work ,when I click on it it will open up.But I cant seach for anything it keeps on looking.......

I try to open my HD on the desk top with the mouse it will not open.If I use the file tab then open it will work.
I have checked the disk with first aid all looks well.I still love my new mac.

As for opening your hard drive are you double clicking on it? You could also control click on it to open it.
Really there is no need to open the hard drive icon. If you put an alias of the applications folder and your home folder in your dock then you can skip a trip to the hard drive icon. Open the hard drive icon and drag your application folder to the dock. that will put an alias of it on the dock and you can access it from there. Yes, it is that easy! You can find your home folder in the Users ffolder and do the same with it. Grab the one that looks like a house and put it in the dock.

Small problems for Newb

Hey all.
I just moved from the PC. Nice move, I know. I've been using Garageband with a Firewire 410. It's a very nice entry level system, but I'm having a few problems...
1. After having recorded a few tracks (7 or so software loops and real instruments), the computer runs slowly and lags. The red line indicating the current bar/section drags behind the music that is playing. It's strange. There is basically a 3 to 5 second delay in response, only within Garageband. If I minimize it, iTunes and everything else works in real time.
I have a brand new 17' iMac Core 2 Duo with 2GHz and 1 GB of RAM. Any ideas if there are performance settings within GB that I can tweak? I though firewire ports would help alleviate that problem.
2. The second issue is that I can't consistently use the Firewire as the output for playback...i.e. the playback doesn't always come through my headphones. Sometimes the monitor setting turns itself off, and I have to go into M-Audio downloaded driver to reset the settings. It would be nice if I could just leave it be, and have it work!

This is your processor struggling to keep up (the firewire interface has nothing to do with it). Don't run any other programs at the same time: go into GB preferences>Audio-MIDI and set 'Optimize for' to 'Maximim number of simultaeneous tracks': and lock any MIDI tracks you're not working with. You will often get a bit of a lag, but if the music isn't actually breaking up you're not doing too badly.
2. The second issue is that I can't consistently use

You must have the M-Audio plugged in before you open any program which wants to access it:you could try trashing GB's preferences files and resetting your in/out settings: apart from this it sounds like flakiness in the driver - try contacting M-Audio's help.

WRT160N Password Problem for Newbie.

Just purchased a used router and cannot access the configuration on the router. The default username and password will not allow me in. Is there any way to bypass this and reset the info.

Hi canadales and welcome to the forums!
To reset the router's password, please press the reset button while the router is turned on for 30 seconds then turn if off and on. Connect a computer via wire to any of the LAN ports of the router and proceed with the configuration. Leave the username blank and use admin for the password.

I just went through this and it appears that my Focusrite Saffire was the culprit. I connected all the outputs on the focusrite according to the way the jacsk on the back were labeled and then set up the multichannel speaker setup to match. Then I went into STP, created a pink noise clip and panned it around, the LFE, center and rears were not in the right place.
I reconnected the hardware to match the 5.1 pan pot in STP then changed the multichannel speaker setup to match. Everything appears to be correct now but I would have loved to have been able to just assigned the output busses to correct outputs in the saffire.
Next step is to pan that pink noise around with my SPL meter to calibrate the room.

How did you import from iPhoto? If you saw the Import panel with raw -jpeg pairs, then you probably did not import your iPhoto library as library, but as files, and then you will see plenty of duplicates - previews, thumbnails, originls, edited versions. If that should be the case, it would be better to delete the import from iPhoto and to import your iPhoto library again, but this time using "File > Import > Library".
Only that would require compatible versions of iPhoto and Aperture. What are your Aperture and iPhoto version numbers?

Two problems with algorithms

Hi, i can't figure algorithm for these two problems can you help me? :
1. Write a program that reads a number - n and a sequence of n numbers and finds the longest are of adjacent equal elements. Example :
n = 14
sequence = { 7, 3, 3, 3, 7, 7, 7, 7, 3, 3, 2, 3, 7, 2}
result = {7, 7, 7, 7}
2. Write a program that reads from the console a sequence of numbers and finds the the longest subsequence of growing numbers. Example:
sequence = {3, 1, 2, 4, 6, 2, 3, 5, 4, 5}
result = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5}
I'll be very thankful if you write me an algorithm :) (I was thinking for recursion but I couldn't figure it out.. I'm still a newbie :) )

Issue 1: iTunes Match
Some song playback is merging songs. I select “Song A” to be played and midway through the song it begins playing “Song B” however when I look at my phone it indicates that “Song A” is still playing even though the actual music is not “Song A”. I searched the Apple Support Community as well as the internet and this seems to be an ongoing issue back to 2012 that has not been resolved. All of the “fixes” that are provided do not work. For example, update/sync iTunes Match, delete the song from your iPhone and re-download from the cloud or delete the song from your iTunes including the iCloud and re-download. None of which worked. I even tried to complete erase the song from my computer hard drive and restarted my computer and then re-downloaded the song and it was still not working.
Issue 2: iTunes Preview Track
I am unable to preview any music on iTunes through the iTunes app on my phone. I have signed out of my user ID and restarted my phone and then logged back in and it did not fix the problem. My iTunes Match and iTunes radio are allowing me to play music. My software is up-to-date.

Same problem here, Im running the latest version of iOS 7 on my iphone 5S (ipod 5S) bricked lol. It was working fine and then a mates baby grabbed my phone and dropped it (not very high) then it went off so i turned it on and BAM i got the grey backround with the apple logo on it so, I waited, Then it went to BSOD and got stuck in that loop, I then done a manual reset I was able to turn it off thats all. I tried restore in recovery mode with the latest itunes it come up with Unknown Error, error code (14) (something to do with unreconizable USB) tried many diffrent USB ports but sadly nothing, I then tried DFU mode with itunes still not working. Im really stuck on this one I need some assitance PLEASE! HELP!

Can you have two psswords for an Itunes account?

My kids have i pods. They tell me they need the password I set up for normal use of the i pods. I have had problems with them buying apps they thought where free etc. Is it possible to have one password for purchases and one for normal use and free apps?
I have to say that trying to reach anyone at Apple for customer support is impossible. I have tried evrything, called, email,web links. Worst customer service set up I have ever seen. Sorry, very frustrated. Impossible to get an actual cus support rep. It is a simple question too.

You cannot have two passwords for one Apple ID. If you set up restrictions - I believe that you can require a password for in app purchases. You can simply restrict app purchases as well with restrictions but that would restrict the downloading of free apps as well.

hello, I want to use two indicators for the same variable in two different VIs running at the same time
should I use global variables?? I want to avoid because I have lot of variables and it would takes too much memory,I tried with this code but the value of the second indicator is not updated
I tried to use the queue and it works but the problem is as i said previously that i have many variables shoud I use a queue for each one??
what should I do?

Several times in the last year, I've gotten a message that Time Machine needs to completely redo my backup. Using the wireless connection, this takes almost two days. Is there a way to do the backup with ethernet and then switch back to wireless? Thanks.

May I know what is needed to make sure the MacBook is able to see Time Capsule on ethernet?
Connect an Ethernet cable from one of the LAN <-> ports on the 2Wire gateway to the WAN port (circle of dots icon) on the Time Capsule.
If AirPort Utility cannot "see" the Time Capsule now, you will need to perform a "hard reset" by holding in the reset button for 7-8 seconds or so and then reconfigure the Time Capsule. You can use the same Time Capsule name and password, etc. as before.
Configure the Time Capsule to "Create a wireless network" and select the Bridge Mode option when it appears during the setup using AirPort Utility.
Once the Time Capsule is configured, restart the entire network again. Power down everything, start the 2Wire first and then start each other device after that one at a time about a minute apart.
Now you can connect your Mac directly to one of the LAN <-> ports on the Time Capsule for the backup using another Ethernet cable. In general, about 20-25 GB per hour will transfer.
The Time Capsule will broadcast a much faster wireless network than the 2Wire can provide, so you might want to leave the setup "as is" for awhile after the first backup is complete. If you decide to use the Time Capsule as your main wireless access point, you would want to turn the wireless off on the 2Wire since two wireless networks in close proximity can create interference problems.
Or, if you want to use the wireless on the 2Wire, you could turn off the wireless on the Time Capsule. Then backups will occur over the 2Wire wireless, or over Ethernet.
I don't really recommend the "Join a wireless network" setting on the Time Capsule for most users, but you could go back to that setup as well if you want after the first backup is complete.

Having TWO problems with my iPod mini.

I've had my ipod mini for a year and a half. I only ever use it 2-3 times a week for 30 mins at a time at the gym, and sometimes in the car. Already I'm having two problems.
Problem #1- Battery. I've noticed alot of other people on here seem to be having this problem aswell. I'll charge it fully and leave it in the charger over night. I disconnect it, Start playing it, and 1 or 2 songs later I get the message saying "battery low, please connect to power source" It just came OFF a power source. I have 2 different ways that I charge my ipod. I use the computer. And I have a clock radio that it sits in to play the ipod and charges it at the same time. It dosen't matter which I use.. I have the problem either way.
Problem #2- When the battery actually is working(which is rare) sometimes the music sounds like it's under water. Basically, The music plays, but with very low bass. I usually either listen to it through my car adapter, or through my headphones and I get the same problem either way. This isn't all the time though.
I've never dropped it, gotten it wet or left it in the sun. It's had no physical damage at all.
Does anyone know what may me going on? I've followed the steps and tips from other posts on the battery issue but nothing has worked for me. The only thing I can think of (and probably the only thing anyone can recommend) is that I send it in to get it repaired. However, I refuse to do that. I don't think I should have to pay to repair apple's 1.5 year old products especially since I paid close to $300 for it in the first place. I also don't want to receive a refurbished one, I want MINE fixed or a brand new one(which I know won't happen).
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

2. Press the button repeatedly with pencil eraser making sure to get liquid into area surrounding button.

The same code is used in modify mode also. web application is sending all 3 lines in modify mode even if single line is modified. It is already decided to send all rows back from web application to SAP in same sequence. It is working fine if i comment 5 lines which is starting with *. But in modify mode, how can i ensure that correct row is modified? and how can i achieve problem of large no of lines on screen?Please suggest?

1. For this we need to know two things ;
   a) the database table in which the entries are already stored
   b) the sequence in which they are displayed in the transaction.
2. So before changing any line, we need to compare (the primary key values / important values)
   a) as per the database table and as per the incoming data from web application (using bapi)
b) if the match is ok, it means that particular row was not modified, else modified.
how can i achieve problem of large no of lines on screen?
1. For this I am not sure about the transaction and its screen. Manytimes for appending row on the screen,
there is a PLUS + button on the grid toolbar. So for every entry, (inspite of some empty/filled rows already visible on the screen), we should use the + button, and this new row always appears on the top i.e. row number 1.

Two prices for one material in sales order according condition type

I configure the condition type according to following condition record:
Plant/ Sales Organization/ Distribution channel/ Material / Customer
(because system should calculate two prices for one material in two plants)
In the sales order screen, when user firstly select material , quantity, plant , system calculate the related price correctly but if user select the material and quantity and enter and after that select the plant, system will show the error message in pricing procedure and to have a price for material, user should update the price in the price condition in sales order.
It is so difficult for user to update one by one, because there are several sales orders which need to update.
Is it any way to solve this problem?

Hi,
Why to let the user press Enter button before entering plant value Obviously, system will give error, because it doesnt get all the required value based on which you have maintained condition records.
Ask the user to enter all the value at item level otherwise you will have go for the option that you are doing currently.
It is said prevention is better than cure

Do good receipt for subcontracting purchase order with account assigment 'E'.The system show the error message(KI235)----Two cost elements (Change in Stock (Subcontracting)&Outside processed fee) haven't CO account assignment.but the field status for sale order is option entry , when I default cost center for the cost element in OKB9.the system post the material document and generate the following accounting document.

My problem is:
When use MIGO to do good receipt for subcontracting Purchase order, for consumption account((Change in Stock (Subcontracting)-41010102&Outside processed fee--41031000) ,why the system dont recognize the sale order filled as CO account assignment?
