Two same reports showing different output ??

Hi
Irregularity in two reports
I developed a vendor liabilities aging report with lfa1-lifnr not maindatory,
lfb1-bukrs obligatory , bsik-budat obligatory & report is working fine with
total & all months total are displayed . I want to display por org.
I added a new field LFM1-ekorg (Pur. Org ),
( no other table except lfm1 has ekorg field, link is using lifnr )
after that report is showing less lifnr and also month amount and total is varying.
I fetched lifnr, ekorg from lfm1 the for all entirs in bsik with lifnr equality & then
lifnr from lfa1.
I checked a database tables.
Why so ?? Please

Hi,
Well am not sure if i understood your question properly. May be its something to do with order of selection from the tables. If so try like this
select lifnr ekorg
from lfm1
into it_lfm1
where ekorg = p_ekorg.
select *
from bisk
into corresponding fields of it_bisk
for all entries in it_lfm1
where lifnr = it_lfm1-ekorg
bukrs in s_bukrs
budat in s_budat.
By this way you can use purchase organisation also in the report.

  • Merge of two same items with different Qty in po

    Hi Experts,
Is it possible to merge two Same items with different Quantity into 1.
For Eg:- 2 similar  items  with qty 2 & 3 must show 5 qty appearing once.Is it possible through Transnotification what should be the query.
    Mona

    Hi Mona,
If you want to display a Purchase Order on screen summarized by item, set the "Summary Type"  to "By Item" (by default it is "No Summary"). The PO lines will then be summarized by item with total quantity for each item.
If you want to display it on the printout then you need to modify the PLD. It is quite easy actually. You can use the Repetitive Area Footer to display the summary of each item and set all fields in the Repetitive Area to be not visible and set the height to minimum height.

  • How to restrict the EBS end users to run only two same reports at a time?

    Hi,
We are using EBS 12.0.6 and database 10.2.0.3.
Is it possible to restrict the end business users to run only two reports at a time?
    OR
Is it possible to restrict the end business users to run only two same reports at a time?
    Thanks.

Is it possible to restrict the end business users to run only two same reports at a time?It is not possible.
You can either make the report "incompatible" to itself (this means only one user in your company can run it at a time)
Or not make it incompatible. (That means any user can run it any number of times)
Incompatibility is a way of specifying which requests cannot be run under which circumstances.
    See http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/A60725_05/html/comnls/us/fnd/incomp.htm
You can use Hussain's suggestion to use Concurrent: Active Request Limit profile. You can set this profile value at each user level. But if you decide to set it at global level, remember to keep it a higher value for sysadmin kind of users that run scheduled jobs.
    Hope this helps,

  • WS-SDK Scheduling two instances of the same report with different params

I'm using the web services SDK for Business Objects XI 3.1 SP 2 to schedule reports. I've got it so that I can successful schedule a report with prompts, setting the value for the prompt and running the report.
However, I'm now trying to schedule two instances of the same report using a single call to BIPlatform.Schedule. It creates the correct number of new instances, the last of which is completely correct. The first one (and in fact if I do more than two all the rest except the last) lose the parameter value from the prompt and the schedule information and the type. So for example if I schedule two instances, both PDF, both for 8am tomorrow with parameters of 1 and 2, I get:
A Webi instance, scheduled to run immediately with no parameters specified and
A PDF instance, scheduled for 8am tomorrow with parameter 2
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
    Cheers,
    Jack

Can you possibly post your code here that sets params and schedules? Also as you schedule 2 instances on a single report in a sinlgle biplatform.schedule call(): as you query for InfoObject what you actually query for a single report isn't it, or do you schedule a report template and reschdule it previous instance?

  • Usage Report and Audit Log report showing different totals

I am trying to understand the differences displayed in two similar reports. The first report is an 'Audit Log' Report and it is displaying the number of Resource Account creations over a time period. The second report is a Usage Report using the exact same criteria (objectType = Resource Account and Action = Create). The totals I get back are VASTLY different. Can anyone explain? Is this a known bug?

    Hi,
In any report we don't show the storage policies information. In Cost report if the storage policies have different rate factors then we will show the split for the storage information. But in usage report , rate factors will not be applicable as we don''t show the cost details. Hope this clarifies your question. Please let us know if you need more information.

  • Cost element and Line item reports show different actual costs

    Hi PS experts,
My client has an issue pertaining to actual cost reports. The cost element report shows actual costs $42,000 for one WBS and when I double click to see details the value it shows is $2100. Even when I checked line item report for this WBS the value is $2100. What could be the reason for getting different values? If some one throw some light on this it would be great helpful to me
    Regards,
    Laxminarsimha

    Laxminarsimha
The values in CJI3 should be correct and will include all postings (e.g. Settlement values) and possibly Actual Revenues unless a filter is in place - so take this as being your correct figure to start with.
Your drilldown will show the same value as CJI3 because it is CJI3
Any cost element report you are using is probably correct for what you are asking - is this a Standard Cost Element Report you are using or is it bespoke
One thing to be careful of when you drilldown on Cost Element Reports is that you do not always get the a make up of the value you have drilled down
    e.g.
Cost Element Report was run for Period 1 to 6 2008 and shows £100.00
You drilldown and sometimes the drilldown automatically shows ALL line items e.g £500.00 (not just the values for periods 1 to 6 of 2008 which you may expect £100.00)
In the past I've removed the drilldown capability from bespoke cost element reports to prevent drilldown to the line item report (which is CJI3) because of this problem.
Usually where values for a a number of periods only (not total costs) was required
    Other factors to consider
Revenues/Settlements may be excluded from Cost Element Report but will not be excluded from CJI3 unless you specifically restrict
You need to identify which types are postings are missing from the Cost Element Report (what is common...cost element, dr/cr indicator, business transaction)
I've also hit the mistake in the past where I've asked for periods 1 2007 to period 3 2008 and instead of giving me just over a years worth of actual it gave me actuals for periods 1 to 3 for 2007 and 1 to 3 for 2008.
    Hope this helps

    Greetings,
AI Waveform Scan.vi and AI Sample Channel.vi each have a Channel(s) input. You do not have anything wired to these inputs. By default, these inputs are both Channel 0. You should wire "0" to one of these inputs and "1" to the other.
    Good luck with your application.

  • Use same report with different MySQL database

    I am using CR2008 with MySQL 5.1.
I have a report that works with one of the tables (T1) in a MySQL database (DB1).  I have another MySQL database (DB2) with the same table name and structure, except that the data has been updated.
I want to use the same report, but just ask CR2008 to now use DB2 and T1.
Try as I may (using Set Data Source Location...), but I'm not getting anything to work.
I looked for a previous thread on this, but was unsuccessful.
    Thanks for any help.
    David

Thank you for your helpful response.  What I am really asking is this -- when there is a CR2008 report based on db1, table1, and you want to use the SAME report with an identical table in a DIFFERENT database (db2, table1), can I easily use the same report?  Or, do I have to generate another version of the report?
    Thank you again.

  • Why's the SQL format different for the same report on different PCs?

I have 2 PCs running the same version of Crystal Reports (11.0.0.1994) using an identically configured system DSN with the exact same driver. When I view the SQL that CR is using on PC 1, part of it looks like this:
    " FROM   {oj (("PUB"."LOQEstimate" "LOQEstimate1" LEFT OUTER JOIN "PUB"."LOQComponent" "LOQComponent1" ON ("LOQEstimate1"."Estimate-ID"="LOQComponent1"."Estimate-ID") AND"
On PC 2 it looks like this:
    "FROM   "PUB"."LOQEstimate" "LOQEstimate1", "PUB"."LOQComponent" "LOQComponent1", "PUB"."CustContact" "CustContact1", "PUB"."LOQSegment" "LOQSegment1"
    WHERE"
It's the exact same report. Can someone tell me why the SQL is different?
    TIA for the help.

Thanks for the reply, Patrick. Here are the answers you requested:
    1. Verify you are indeed using the same driver, and they are of the same version
The driver on both PCs is the Progress OpenEdge 10.1A driver. The file is pgoe1021.dll, version 05.10.0037.
    2. Verify if you have the same database client install on both computer.
    Both use prowin32.exe, v10.1.1.1326
If everything is the same, then it might be a registry key, and in this case, can you provide the following information:
    1. What database are you connecting to? ( Oracle, DB2, ... )
Progress OpenEdge 10 RDMS (/community [original link is broken])
    2. What is the version of the database?
    10.1A
    3. What is the version of the database client?
    v10.1.1.1326
    4. How are you connecting to your database? ( Native, ODBC, OLEDB,... )
    ODBC
    5. If you are connecting via ODBC, what is the name of the driver used and it's version?
The driver is the Progress OpenEdge 10.1A driver. The file is pgoe1021.dll, version 05.10.0037.
    6. What is the SQL query syntax do you prefer? ( PC 1, or the one generated on PC 2 )
The SQL generated on PC1 doesn't return any records. The SQL generated on PC2 does. Records are preferable ;o)

  • Run a query multiple times in the same report for different nodes in Hier

    Hi,
I have created a query as per my requirements. But my issue is I need to run the report for all the profit centers in a hierarchy. Right now I enter a node value of the hierarchy in the variable and I get the result. But I want to run it for each node in the hierarchy and display the result in the same report. Is it possible to do so in web using information broadcaster or any BI 7.0 tools. Has anyone done similar to this in web. I would prefer the web route rather than the excel but if excel is the only answer I will follow the excel path.
Looking forward to your suggestions on this.
    Thanks,
    Kal

    Hello Kal,
if the number of Profit Centers is limited, you could probably work with query views (one for each PC) and include all these into your Web Template.
If this is not appropriate, I don´t know if there is any way of programming possible.
    Regards

  • Two hard drives with exact same files showing different sizes

I have two WD external drives, one which I'm trying to dedicate solely to Time Machine backups.  In transferring data from the one I intend to use for that purpose to the other, I'm finding that all the files transferred but that the folders register as having different sizes (e.g. one video folder has the same number in each, but on the original disk it was 4.43 GB in total and is only 4.26 GB on the new disk).
I've read that there could be hidden system files that didn't move, but if that's the case does it matter?  Both drives are the same model but are differently formatted.
    Thanks

    but are differently formatted.
That could be the cause. Files are not written to a disk in bytes, they are written in blocks that are a minimum size. For instance, if the minimum block size is 1KB, the a 5 byte file will occupy 1KB on the disk. So, depending on the block size of the drive format, you may get different results.

  • "Same" report but different selection

    CRXi
    SQL2005+
I'm working on a report that works fine but the selection for the output needs updating or maybe I need 2 more reports....
    Tables are:
USER TABLE (has all the application's user information)
        TableKeyID for THIS table
        Application_UserID
        Lastname
        Firstname
MANAGER TABLE (has all the application's manager information.  This is essentially a detailed subset of the User table.  Any row in the Manager table will also have a row in the User table but not vice-versa!)
        TableKeyID for THIS table
        Application_UserID (same as User Application_UserID}
        User_Initials
OPPORTUNITY TABLE (contains relevant information on any sales opportunity)
        TableKeyID for THIS table
Application_UserID for person who is working on the Opportunity.  Note: This can one of many and it can be different for ANY opportunity.
JOB TABLE (contains relevant information for the potential job)
        TableKeyID for THIS table
Job # (contains User_Initials in positions 2-4 of a field)
Links: Not sure how to do this with this situation IF it's different than the correctly working report which prints out data by User Lastname+Firstname.  This report, though correct, doesn't always have the output 'together' by Job # and/or User since any sales person can close an opportunity.  (Maybe think inside vs outside rep or assistant to senior rep here).
    A) Report #1: Possibly, read the User table alphabetically and then provide Groups in a report that ONLY selects for the User_Initials for each group.  (either Group 1 or some Group under 1 that filters by the person's initials)
That is, say there are three (3) sales reps with User_Initials of ABC, DEF, GHI respectively but there are twenty (20) users (rows/records) in the User table.  My thinking is that I need to read the User table sorted by last name, firstname and then ONLY select the appropriate Job #s that contain their respective initials.
I can do the User table reading and sorting by lastname, firstname but I don't know how to restrict EACH group which will be the sales reps initials for THAT group.  I currently get, say, five (5) rep-sets of output with proper User lastname, firstname sorting but the Job #s don't necessarily match the User lastname, firstname that I'm working with because an opportunity can be closed by anyone.  Once the opportunity is closed I assign a Job # which includes the initials in positions 2-4 of the Job #.
    B) Report #2: Second report is VERY similar to the first but I need to select by the opportunity assigned manager (OpptyManagerID) field.  Again, possibly read the User table alphabetically and then provide Groups in a report that ONLY selects for the OpptyManagerID field.  Output is the same set of fields as in Report #1 but the selection is different.
    My current Groups are:
    User table
    Job #
    OpptyManagerID
    {4th group not related, I think!}
    HTH...
    Thanks

We are doing something similar with multiple reports that have the same footprint, however we are handling the data extraction via an Oracle Stored Procedure. We have a set of parameters that we store in a table and access via 3 parameters entered into the Crystal. One (or more depending) of the parameters controls any logic decisions we need to handle data selection.
Let me know if this helps or you need a little more information/help.
