Typing messages in Spanish

Does anyone know if you can change the keyboard to allow for accents used in Spanish?

I can do it on my keyboard in XP.
... but then you probably mean your BlackBerry handheld keyboard.  You might look to post this in a more appropriate board/topic such as one on devices or a general question.

Go to Settings>General>Keyboards>Predictive Text>ON. If it is on, you can toggle it off and then back on. The other method is to check in the typing area of the Messages app and it could be minimized. You would see a small line in the center just below the typing area. You would just need to put your finger on that small line and swipe upwards. But either should bring it back.

They should definitely fix the problem as soon as possible, however I don't know if this means you will not be able to use iCloud until there is a fix.  I've just toggled the preference setting it back to on and so far it seems to have fixed the problem. Will not know for sure if it's a permanent fix, but toggliing the switch might just clear a corrupted setting somewhere. Try turning it back on and see if you still get the lag.

  • Reject Call and Send Pre-Typed Messages

Hi All, i am searching for a APP that when there is a call, reject the call and send pre-typed message. say for Eg. if you are in the meeting, you can simply reject and send the message to the caller.
Please advise is there any app available.

Sorry, not a feature, and Apple would not allow any third-party app in the App Store to interact with the phone like that.
You can request the feature of Apple:

(though it's not a real common request, so chances Apple would implement it are unlikely, in my opinion)

  • TYPING MESSAGES PROBLEM

How do I stop the messages from being sent prematurely when I strick the Enter key while typing?  This happens when I touch Enter key by accident when I intended to touch the Shift Key to capitalize at letter at the begining of a sentence.

I found the solution myself. they trick is on the dock/undok button of the keyboard. Happy New Year!!!

  • Problem typing messages

I seem to have a problem typing my messages in IM in ipad mini, the problem is, once the keyboard pop up, the space where the letters appears is behind the keyboard. It used to come on top of the keyboard but now it stays behind it and i can't check the words i am typing. Is there anyway to put it on top of the keyboard?

  • No chat box in latest version for typing messages

I just downloaded the latest version of Skype and find there is no chatbox for me to use if I want to respond in typing to a message.  What do I do?

    hi Andrew!
hmmm. i might be a bit behind on the state of the art with this one. (if anyone is aware of a reliable QuickTime settings solution, please feel free to leap in.)
but if no one leaps in with more subtle advice, one of the things that has been working with this for itunes 6.0.2.23 is a careful standalone QT 7.0.4 reinstall. so we could see if that still does the trick with itunes 6.0.3.5.
download and save a copy of the standalone QT 7.0.4 installer to your hard drive. (we'll run the install from there rather than online.) switch off all antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install.
    Quicktime 7.0.4 Standalone Installer
any improvement after the QT reinstall?

  • N70 Screen flickers while typing message

    Hello:
I have bought Nokia N70 Music Edition 3 days back but i am noticing that the screen flickers while typing the message.
The screen flickering that occurs while typing a msg does not occur when i m using any of the nokia builtin themes...but when i m using the themes which i have downloaded from www.zedge.net, the flickering while typing msg takes place...i had installed the themes in mem card, but i have also tried installing them to phone and then checking the theme, but still the flickering occurs. The theme installation puts some application called OWN SKIN ANIMATOR in the startup of my mobile. It has something to do with the animation of the theme, although i have tried exiting the application and then testing the msg flickering, and it STILL occurs ...can u please suggest a solution or tell me some good themes or a good site to download themes for N70 ME.
P.S. I have been downloading themes from www.zedge.net for quite a long time and it has never created any problems on my previous phones i.e. Nokia 5200 and 6300

Sorry to hear that but you have to contact your local Xperia Care

  • Actor framework strictly typed message queues?

I'm just getting to grasps with the Actor framework.  I have implemented "similar" stuff in the past but I've approached it differently.
One thing I noticed was how easy it is to send a message to an incompatible actor core which results in a nasty run-time "to more specific class" error.
In the example project included with LV 2012, if I make the change shown below (OK, I am purposely senidng a wrong message on the given queue) I get no feedback from the IDE that an incompatible message is being sent ont he queue.  I think this has to do with the Message queues being for the base actor class.
Is there no way to have the actual queues more strictly typed so that we can say that Launching Actor Beta will result in a Queue reference which is only compatible with Beta (or children) objects or does this ruin the entire concept?  If possible, it would prevent the ability oto send incompatible messages completely which IMHO would be an enormous benefit.
The presentations on the Actor framework have shown huge benefits in strict typing of state machines (I'm referring to a couple of videos I've seen ont he NI website) but this element of things seems to be just a pokey as a string flatten and unflatten.  Send the wrong message to the wrong receiver and >bang< run-time error.
    Just thinking out loud.

So two days and no reply...
I'm referring in essense to this part of the actor framework white paper as included with the template in LV 2012.
    Messages from Callee to Caller
When a caller wants to send a message to the callee, the caller knows the type of the actor that it launched, so caller can easily choose the right type of message to send. But when an actor wants to send a message to its caller, the actor does not necessarily know what type of caller it has, so it does not know what type of message to send. Ideally, actors should be usable by many different callers. That maximizes code reuse. But making the actor truly independent of the caller requires more effort than is warranted for the situation. There are three techniques for defining messages that an actor sends to its caller
The High Coupling Solution—In this solution, the callee actor is written specifically for one type of caller, and can never be used with any other type of caller. In this case, the callee knows details about the caller's interface, so it may simply call the Send Message VI of the appropriate message. The message type is thus hardcoded into the actor.
The Low Coupling Solution—This solution works best when you have a known inheritance hierarchy of callers. In this solution, you create a matching hierarchy of callee actors. So suppose you have callers Hard Drive, Air Conditioner, and Fire Suppression, each of which needs to launch a Fan actor. You would create the Fan class, and then inherit from it Fan For Hard Drive, Fan For Air Conditioner, and Fan For Fire Suppression. Each caller launches its specific callee actor. All of the main Fan class' code is shared, but when it comes time to send messages, the Fan class has a dynamic dispatch method for doing the sending, and each of the children overrides that method to send the message appropriate for its caller. Each callee is still coupled to a specific caller, but the system as a whole is flexible to accommodate new caller types.
The Zero Coupling Solution—In order to make the callee actor independent from the caller, the caller must tell the callee what types of messages to send so the callee avoids picking a type itself. The best implementation of this solution has the caller record a message into the callee at the time the callee is launched. The callee provides a Set <Type> Message.vi method, where <Type> is the particular event that will trigger the message to be sent. The caller sets the exact message it wants to receive when this event occurs. When the event happens, the callee sends the chosen message, without any knowledge of what kind of caller is receiving that message.
Often the callee will define an abstract Message class that it uses as the input type for Set <Type> Message.vi. Callers create their own specific child of this abstract class. This setup gives the callee a way to set data into the message through the API defined by the abstract class, and gives the message a way to deliver that data in a form the caller can consume through the various overload and extension VIs.
Would it be possible to get some examples of the three different approaches to typing of the messages?  I'm aiming for the high coupling solution (with the option of slipping to option 2 through common ancestors) in order to provide the ability to detect wrong messages on wrong queues at edit time.

  • Iphone 5 has long delay 15 sec or more when typing message.  recently downloaded new software update

i bought a new iPhone 5s in November.  a few days ago I was asked if I wanted to upgrade my software to 7 something, I dont have my phone so I am unable to give you the specific number of the new software.  Now I am unable to type unless I wait at great length for each character to show.  I will take me three minutes to type a 3 word sentence, in both Text messaging and email.  I saw a post from google that I should use reset button.  I gone to general settings opened and selected reset all after that I did not have any success.  Phishfry60

Please excuse some of the typos.  It's late and the browser shut down on a me a few times.

  • Typing message email and screen changes

    Hey All.
anyone have this problem when using Iphone 5 I can be in middle of a text and phone changes screen to settings screen personal hotspot one ??

Well, in a year of being active on all the BB forums you're the first I've ever heard say that message wouldn't go away.  it's possible something glitched during setup.  If it continues, here's what I'd recommend:
    Security wipe:
To perform a Security Wipe please follow the instructions below. Be sure and use BB Link to make a full backup before proceeding with the wipe:
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB33591
Once the wipe is complete and you go through the setup process you can restore your backup. Keep in mind that data in the backup may be the source of the original problem and restoring it may restore the problem, as well. If that happens do the wipe again and don't restore the Settings portion of the backup.

  • Thunderbird: Auto returning when typing message

    Ahoy!
I'm hoping this will be a quick fix. When I type a message in Thunderbird, after about 80 characters the cursor is auto returning to the left and starting another line, hence I'm getting a paragraphed message block that isn't using the whole of the available text box across the whole screen! I have no idea why this is happening, but I hope it may just be a setting correction. Here's a sample of what it's doing (I've just used any characters to show as an example:
    rtrwrwyryr y rttywywy ywyywywywey ryeyeey reryeyt3tet 454y45yury y4y44yuy 5yreyryrry y4y4577587 567575i67 i ll7i68u3446 455746644y5y4 y466yryyuu y4646 n 47464644646464646464 747474 464yy g 4y4y yuyuy5y 332336 ii6i645433 46463636363n 3336363 43646 464646.
Thunderbird is limiting the number of characters I can use and then auto returns. Is there a technophone that can help to correct this phenomenon? It would be really appreciated ;o)

This may not be a good idea. See [*] for some reasons. Some of your recipients may see your text all on one line and have to scroll.
Better IHMO is to keep the default of all "wrap" configs in Config Editor except <br>
    <code>mail.compose.wrap_to_window_width</code> <br>
which you would toggle to true if you don't like the wrapping while composing a message.
Or, if you want to send mails in HTML most of the time ([http://email.about.com/od/netiquettetips/qt/When-In-Doubt-Send-Plain-Text-Email-Not-Fancy-Html.htm don't if you are not sure]), then in ''Account Settings > Composition & Addressing'' check ''Compose messages in HTML format'' in which case the cursor won't auto return either.
[*] e. g. http://mailformat.dan.info/body/linelength.html older, but sill mostly quite valid

  • Installation of iOS 5.0.1 on iPhone 3GS - typing messages in horizontal mode not possible

I have an iPhone 3GS and I have just installed the new iOS 5.0.1. Since then I am not able anymore to type my messages in the horizontal mode. Is that normal? What can I do? I would be really glad if somebody could give me an advice. Thanks a lot for your help in advance.

All right, I did an hard reset on my iPhone, restored it and then charged it up to 100%.
at 23:40 I took it off from the charger, with wifi and 3g on, and than I fall asleep.
at 08:00 when i wake up with the alarm of the iphone, it was on 93%, guess its ok now. only 7% of the battery has gone.
now I'm with wifi off and 3g on, with 86% and playing music.
push notifications are off, and it says, 1 hour and 21 minutes of use, and 10 hours and 37 minutes  in stand-by.
my English is not so good, so I'm sorry if I had written some mistakes...
Thanks razmee209, your answer was very helpful!

  • My iPod touch 4G doesn't receive photos through iMessage, only typed messages. Can anyone help me solve this problem?

Lately my iPod touch 4G has not been receiving photos from my wife through IMessage, when the photo is received I can see it for less than half a second, then it disappears. If I restart my iPod sete it shows up as unknown and a question mark, instead of the actual photo. I have tried reseting my iPod all the setting including network, and have tried turning off the iMessage and back on again. Other than that I don't know what else I can do, so please get back to me as soon as possible I would appreciate it.
    Thanks!
