Hello,
I try to create a script that could place call and play a prompt (wav files).
The step place call works but the play prompt do not play something. Do I need something special to do to make my play prompt works.
My wav files is in the good format.

Basics from the User Guide are restart, reset, restore. Try each of these. If they don't work, bring your phone into Apple for evaluation.

UCCX single play prompt step for multiple wav files

Hi there!
Is possible to use single 'Play Prompt' step to play a chain of .wav files on UCCX?
For example, have variable chain_audio that can contain different content length
ex:
chain_audio = "P[1.wav] P[2.wav] P[3.wav]"
chain_audio = "P[1.wav] P[2.wav] P[3.wav] P[4.wav] P[5.wav]" etc.
Play Promtp (-Triggering Contact-, chain_audio)

I'm not sure it is possible to call and fill Create Container within Java code. It is possible to setup variables by hand in Create Container Prompt step, like in Play Prompt step.
Parse a String to Array and fill up Create Container Prompt with Array elements manually. In my example i have only 4 elements, but in real world i could have more than 15 elements.
I wish Play Prompt/Create Container was filled automatically with chain of audio files, because it is impossible to know the array size beforehand.

Place Call and continue with remaining script steps - is it possible?

We recently picked up IPCelerate which has the ability to send a Text display or Text-to-Speech message to a group of phones simply by dialing a configured directory number. We would like to text our call center agents with this application when a caller has been waiting for X number of loops.
Attempting to use 'Place Call' to initiate this text page works, however, the script terminates immediately after the call is placed and we would like to continue on with the remainder of our script. In this case, on Success go back to the top of the loop.
I have also tried to use Call Subflow instead, thinking an executed sub-routine placing the call would return to the original script and continue on, but it didn't. In both cases, the system comes back and states " I'm sorry, we're currently experiencing system problems and are unable to process your call. Please try again later."
If there's a way to get this to work via Place Call or another process to accomplish the same result, that would be fantastic. I appreciate any feedback.
We're using UCCx Express 5.0 (2.064) with premium type licensing.

I did get to an answer similar to what r.stockton did to solve the issue, but I left Exception (ContactInactiveException) Goto in ours to isolate exceptions because we have multiple contacts within our script. Turns out that this particular exception was thrown by the PlaceCall step ending abruptly by our paging system answering and hanging up the call quickly. MIVR logs showed that it didn't bomb as immediately as when the debugs showed it crashing - it actually went into a loop over and over with the Trigger contact before failing.
We had some help from TAC on this, but below is what we did to keep some error checking and notification we use available to us. We are running a check to make sure the Call Trigger (original call) is still active.

CallActive = Get Contact Info (--Trigering Contact--, Active)
If (CallActive) Then
- True branch continues with script
- False Branch terminates call
If this takes the false branch, it means the trigger contact is not active, and has abandoned the call or been transferred elsewhere. Placed an End step here to prevent any loops.
If this takes the true branch, it means the triggering contact is actually still active. In our scenario, CallActive (boolean variable) is verified true and continues with the script without going into the loop of death.

Can place calls and texts but not receive them.

I can call others and send text messages but, when someone sends me a text I don't receive it and when they call it goes straigt to my voicemail. I went to the reception page where it shows the signal strength number at the top and it showed it was a good signal.

Have you spoken to your carrier ? It sounds like the phone isn't set up correctly.

Place call is not working in HTTP trigger script

I have basic hello script with HTTP trigger and CUCM trigger configured as well. I am trying to dial out an extension and play an prompt in my script. Running UCCX 7.0.1 with premium license. The place call step doesnt start at all when I do the debug. HTTP trigger and response works fine. Anything I am missing in the script.

Create a Contact-type variable. Set the Place Call and Play Prompt to this second contact. You cannot play a prompt or make a call to the triggering contact when the script was triggered by an HTTP contact instead of JTAPI.

Using Menu step in place call step - UCCX

Hi,
I have a script that is checking the agent state, if the agent state is ready the script will parse an XML document and it will take the phone number of a contact, after that I use a place call step to call that phone number, I play a prompt for the called contact and after that I send that contact to a select resource step, so he can talk to the UCCX agent.
Now I want in the place call step to add a Menu step to give the called contact the oportunity to press 1 if he want to speak to the agent or if he wants just to end the call after listening to the prompt that I'm already playing for them. Is that possible? does the DTMF should be detected in such situation?...I tried to enable the media termination support, but with no luck.

Thank you so much for the reply, yes I check all the parameters in the Place Call step and the call is place with no problem. Also I use the created contact instead of the triggering contact in the menu step, actually I do hear the prompt of the menu option. I was making some troubleshooting and I grab the select resource into the timeout branch of the menu step, so I though.. if the DTMF wasn't being detected, maybe in the timeout branch the select resource could work, but it didn't. Also I delete the menu option and put the select resource step in the succesful branch of the Place call and there works fine. So I am wondering if all this steps working together will work, Check my screenshot so you can see how my script looks like.
I will continue making some tests.

What happened to the sound on incoming phone calls and other notifications???

I have my sound on "Loud (Active)" as I always do and then all of the sudden it stops making any sounds or chimes when I receive calls, emails, texts or facebook notifications. My calls and ect. are still coming thru, but just completely silent. I have to look at my screen to see I have a call coming thru and wait for the little red light at the top to see if I have any text messages and whatnot. Does anyone know why this could be happening? Now during the workday I will probably end up missing important phone calls and playing phone tag with people.
Any help would be appreciated

Why are my Macbook Pro and my iPad able to place calls, but not receive them?

I have a MacBook Pro late 2013 edition and last year's iPad Air as well as the iPhone 5s. I have all of my devices completely signed in to my iCloud account and all of the appropriate boxes checked. I can place calls using my iPad and my computer, but when my phone rings, it doesn't ring on either the iPad or my computer. Strangely enough, my iPad used to receive phone calls a month ago, before most of this all came into play, but as already stated, it now does not. All of my devices are updated to the latest software and I can seamlessly utilize all other handoff features between all three devices.
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

X2: How to stop and play a MP3 file from any place...

I have some 1 hour talk shows on MP3 on my X2. I play one show. After 10 minutes I want to pause it there and take a call, or go to the menu and add a reminder, and come back to the mp3 and play from the point I stopped (10 minutes). How to do that?
When I pause and come back and press play, it starts from the begininging????

Well a smarter way of implementing this is by using a solution provided by Java Itself.
If you are using J2SE 6.0+ there is an in built solution provided along with JDK itself and inorder to go ahead with solution the below are set of API which you;d be using it for compiling Java Programs (Files)

Creating an applescript to place a call and read me my new email!

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I have been trying to put together an applescript that could call me using skype and read me my new important email messages (apple mail). I have been able to find two scripts on the internet in various other forums that have been super helpful but I am new to applescripting and have been unable to combine them to make one beautiful fully functioning script.

I have also been able to successfully use this script to place a phone call to a landline or skype user account. This script focuses on just using a standard preset message. I am trying to write a script that will eventually call me on my cellphone and read new important email messages to me. I understand how to use the mail rules to accomplish this, but I am lacking in the scripting end.
I would really appreciate anyone who could shed some light on how to do this.

Thanks for all your help on this. I was amazed at the "answer detection" script. I hadn't even thought of that at all. Over the weekend, I was more focused on waiting a specific time, versus when the actual call was answered. I like your approach much better.
I tweaked with it all for quite a while tonight but felt like I didn't get far enough. I was able to consolidate everything down to three scripts. I was really hoping for two scripts, or to somehow make an "application bundle" or "script bundle." I just couldn't figure out how you write the main script. I have only written one other application bundle.
So far this what I have:
Mail Rule #1 Triggers this script, this is a combination of the simple call script but with your answer detection capabilities. I was never able to get the code right for the timeout option. It kept kicking back an error.

I spent a couple hours tonight, trying to incorporate the last two scripts into one, but I wasn't successful. I also came across this script in the my applescripts folder that comes with leopard. I tried to adjust it so that it joined one of the other scripts above but wasn't able to get it to go. It kept giving me syntax errors.
