UCCX force open

Good morning everyone,
I'm going to be doing a cutover and I want to test the call center, but I don't want to edit my scripts for new hours. How can I force the script open and then close it again? Isn't it as simple as checking the box and typing false? Thanks everyone!

Hi Will.
If you want, for next times you need, you can add a String variable (with Parameter flagged) in the script EG. ForceOpen.
Before the time check you can add a "SET" step EG- set ForceOpen = 0
Than add an IF step EG if ForceOpen = 1 goto Open.
Flagging "Parameter" option in string variable, You'll be able to modify this value under application configuration.

Project freezing when opening a EX24 instument at start up...force open???

Hi everyone, for whatever reason the project I was working on only an hour ago now wont open. It freezes when pre-loading an EX24 instrument and never reaches 100% so the song never loads.
I started a new project and opened up the same instrument and sure enough it works..i've checked the links and there's no problem with the folders or anything.
Any idea how to force open a document without it pre-loading. I can then remove the instrument and save again...
please help i'll be here all night otherwise! (well I will anyway..but)

oh and the apple + . doesn't do anything in this case..won't skip it!

UCCX Scripting - Open/Close time of day is different on some days

All,
I currently have a simple UCCX script with a DOW and TOD variable set, but need to make an adjustment to accommodate a new schedule for a call center queue. My DOW is Monday - Friday, and TOD is set to 8am-5pm. I need to make a change to where say Wednesday is set to not close the queue until 10pm. How do I make that happen?
This is the way it shows in the editor:
DOW: Monday-Friday
+open:
++8am-5pm:
+++Goto yadayada
++TheRest
+Closed
If I need Wednesday's queue to stay open between the hours of 8am and 10pm, what logic do I need to put in? I'm thinking I'll have to add an IF Statement, but not sure where to start. Any ideas?

I was able to figure this out. Below is what I did:
Created two new Day of Week options and selected the corresponding days. Under each, I moved the Time of Day statement and assigned the time ranges, then selected the goto statement and assigned it as needed per my script.
This should provide the logic I was needed.

How do I stop Photoshop forcing open while batch converting?

Hi all. I would really appreciate some help with this. Hopefully someone will know what is happening.
Lately, whenever I am attempting a large batch conversion through Adobe Bridge (eg resizing), I'm unable to continue on with any other work at all on my computer as Photoshop keeps forcing it's window open. In the past when doing this, I've been able to start the batch process and then continue on with other work in Internet Explorer or other program's like Word. I have no idea what has changed but now when I start a batch conversion I'm completely stuck as I cannot continue on with anything else due to Photoshop continually forcing itself open at the expense of any other window until it has finished.
This is extremely frustrating and restrictive to my work flow. Has anyone got any ideas on why this is happening or how I can override this? Is there an option somewhere where I can disable this from happening?

In windows, right click on the file, select the program that you wish to use to open the file, and be sure to check to always open this type of file with the seleted program.

Forcing "Open cross-document links in same window" to be unchecked

Hi All,
I am distributing a PDF document set where there is one PDF with well over a hundred links to other PDFs which are located in sub-folders.
The set will be distributed on USB thumb drives.
It will be simplest for users if they have "Open cross-document links in same window" unchecked.
Is there a way I can "force" it to be unchecked?
During a test, someone got a security warning: "This document is trying to access abcd.pdf" Allow/Block. Why are they getting that message when there is no Internet request?

Can't force open PDFs with 9 Pro while X installed?

I recently purchased Acrobat X thinking it might help with a couple of recent assignments. Unfortunately, for a couple of reasons (like the flickering button issue) I don't want it as my default application that opens all PDFs. Typically, to force file types to be opened by a certain app it's simply a mater of selecting a sample of that file type, do a "Get Info" command and then selecting which application should be used, including the specification that it be changed for ALL examples of that file type. But when I do that, I am unable to select Acrobat 9 Pro. It just flips back to Acrobat X.
Is there a way around this or am I stuck with uninstalling the $200 Acrobat X until it gets sorted out?

If I have v9 running (and vX not running), double clicking from a Finder window will open in 9, from a Mail attachment it still fires up vX. I've sort of got used to working with multiple Acrobat's and not having all the plug in's I need for the latest.

Force open images in new tab instead of downloading it.

Some webpages force download of images either with change of the image mime type or (I think) with javascript.
Is there any way to force all jpg/png/gif files to open in new tab when given a direct link to it.

Sounds that you have previously set an automatic download action for the application/force-download MIME type.

Key shortcut to force opening link in the same tab?

Is there any specific key shortcut to open any link in the same tab (even if the website specifies it should be opened in a new tab/window)? Like Ctrl+Mouse click forces every link to be opened in a new tab and Shift+Mouse click - new window.
I have already seen this question: https://support.mozilla.org/pl/questions/970999 but I'd like to be able to choose manually every time whether I want to open the link in the same tab or not.

System Information Utility forces open at startup

Hi everyone,
Recently when I boot my Macbook Pro, the System Information utility app opens immediately without prompting. It does not open a window but the icon pops up in the dock. When I click the icon, it opens a system report window. And then if I try to quit System Information it immediately opens a new instance of it. Force quit produces the same result. This happens just about every fourth start up, not every time. So a restart fixes the problem, but then it happens again a couple reboots later. I had my keyboard replaced recently but no other developments. Please let me know if you have any advice or troubleshooting.

You moved the application from its original location in the Utilities folder. Revert whatever changes you made to built-in applications, or else reinstall OS X. Never move, copy, or rename any system component.

How to force open apps to close on auto logoff?

Can anyone help me? Several family members use my iMac under a single profile, the ADMIN profile (I know - misteak!). Well, now I want change this. I plan to create an account for each user. Then, because everyone is used to leaving apps open and walking away from the computer, I want to make the computer automatically logout after a period of inactivity. Unfortunately, since users leave apps open, I want the computer to automatically close any open apps at the time of the auto logout. The problem I'm trying to resolve is that the auto logoff gets inturrupted if a user leaves an app open. They are then asked if they want to save their work, then someone else comes along and starts using the computer. I just want the computer to logoff regardless of any open apps and I don't care if any data may be lost. Any ideas on how to do this automatically? Thanks...

Forced open word document when value for merged field required in document is blank

Is there any way that I can make a word 2010 document open? The word document contains fields which are linked to a window form fields which have values input by users which then are saved to the database and also merged into the document's fields. In other
word, when the controls (per example a textbox) in the windows form have no value input into them, the word document will not open.

How To Force Open Document In Edit Mode From Code-Behind (Chrome and Firefox)?

The Problem is that in Firefox and Chrome it downloads the document in the temp folder. In IE it works as expected.
