UCCX presented, Abandoned & handled calls

Hi All,
I need to submit exact count for  UCCX presented, Abandoned & handled calls to my management,
But in UCCX historical reporting,
I found diffeernt total number for total presented, Abandoned & handled calls for same durration,
Kindly suggest which report should I refer for the exact count for perticular CSQ,
so that total UCCX presented, Abandoned & handled calls will matched with the total calls handled by agents.
Thankx
Deeeps

Sorry, but that would be impossible given that scripting changes reporting metrics.
Take for example a script where you queue a caller in two queues simultaneously, and then your caller is handled by one of them.  They both will be marked as presented, only one as handled, and the other as dequeued.  Is that two calls or one?  You wouldn't no based on counts alone.
You have to understand your scripts in order to understand your reporting.  Unless you were willing to share your scripts and call flows with all of us, the best we can do is guess.
Sorry for the bad news, but that's how it goes.

A: My customer says to me that this system has been in place for nearly a year and the problem started only a couple of days ago.
Q: If so were there any changes to the infrastructure, or the dialplan in particular?

  • Handler called in library can only used passed variables?

I have been redoing a 3000-line program to put handlers in an assortment of libraries.
I've been getting a lot of variable undefined errors after calls to the handlers in the library.
Previously, I declared global variables and the handlers, when they were in the same script, had no problem with them.
Global variables do not seem to include handlers in called libraries as part of their scope.
In fact, I can't even Set a new variable in one of these handlers, unless it has first been passed as a parameter in the handler call.
For example, variable var1 in handler HandyHandler
    set var1 to 1
results in a variable undefined error unless I call the handler:
    HandyHandler(var1)
thus passing the variable from the main script.
This is more than a little awkward.
Is my perception correct:  all variables in a handler must be defined in the calling script and passed as parameters?

    Hello
It's hard to make advice without seeing actual codes. The boiled down essential version to demonstrate the problem would suffice. Also it might help to read the examples and explanations in the following threads.

  • Integrating multiple UCCX clusters with same Call Manager Cluster

I want to know if I can integrate multiple UCCX clusters with 1 Call Manager cluster? If yes, can someone please point me to the documentation.
    I appreciate all the help..
    Thanks!!!

    Hi
Yes, you can. I'm not aware of specific documentation for this, but a couple of notes:
    - Make sure you use unique resource accounts (e.g. JT user in particular as that is automatically managed by UCCX and one cluster WILL break the other)
    - I would also use unique AXL accounts and probably RM accounts. RM you could share between clusters to just have one RM account to associate any agent phone to, but it's safer to have single-purpose service accounts.
    - You can't assign a user to a particular cluster - so you enable IPCC Extension on one user, they appear in 'resources' on both UCCX servers.

  • CUIC reporting: handled calls greater than answered calls

    Hello,
We met the following problem in Cisco Cuic reporting 8.5.4 for cisco UCCE 8.5.3.
We use only the stock reports. In call type historical all fields we met a strange situation for a simple inbound script:
    - the numbers of handled calls is greater than the number of answered calls. This is vey unusual because any call
is first answered and only after that is handled or not by the agent. So the handled condition supose to be first answered.
Any ideas? What could be the cause for additional handled calls?
Also we have problems between the number of handled calls in Agent Team historical all fields and the number of handled calls
in Call type historical all fields. Should not be the same number in both reports ?
The definitions for answered, handled, offered are very simple and they lack essential info in describing the situations
they treat. The whole documentation for enterprise misses many times essential info and the only source of real
info is others knowledge and experience.
    Any help is wellcome.
    Best regards,
    Marius

Answered is incremented when the Agent picks up the call (or received the activity, in the case of EIM).
Handled is incremented when the call (or EIM activity) completes.
Handled will be incremented regardless of whether the call is transferred/conferenced/consulted or not.
As others have mentioned, Answered and Handled counts can be incremented during different intervals depending on the length of the call. The only way I can think of where that would be the case here would be if your agents are handling EIM activities... They could have 5 open emails in their inbox at the end of the day - these 5 open emails would be considered Answered, but not Handled.
If this isn't from non-voice activities, then perhaps you have some system issue causing the problem.

  • CUIC, Handled Calls and Handled Time problem

    Hello,
Our costumer uses Outboud Predictive Dialer, UCCE. Everthing works fine but in CUIC reports we do not have almost any information about Handled calls and Handled Time (example in attach).
    Any hints are much appreciated!
    Dusan

    Hi,
    alright.
One day you will outgrow CUIC anyway, so if I were you I would start thinking about creating a custom reporting solution (if you are a Microsoft shop, it's SRSS, if Java, then perhaps BIRT).

  • UCCX- adjust abandoned call time or delay

    Hello all....
I'm very new and green to UCCX- version 8.5.1 . I have a colleague here looking to adjust the time or delay for when an incoming call to our queue is deemed abandoned. Apparently our wallboard is showing an abandoned call very quickly wo giving an agent time to answer the call. Is there a parameter that can be adjusted for this purpose? I googled a bit, but no significant help.
    Thanks in advance ....Dennis

    Hi Dennis
    There's no parameter in UCCX.
The typical approaches to this are:
    - For historical reporting, discount calls that abandon within x seconds as listed on the CSQ Call Distribution report. Alternatively, create a custom report that does this automatically.
    - For a wallboard, you would need to have a wallboard that could be customised similarly. CCX puts the stats (including abandon count) per CSQ in the 'realtime' CSQ table designed to be used by wallboards. You would need to bypass this and use a custom query against the historical tables to get such a calculation.

  • UCCX Queues showing bogus calls in Queue and they will not clear

I have many queues and two of them show one call in each of the queues on the supervisor desktop. However there is not any call in the queue. How do I clear theses calls/stats on the supervisor desktop for the end user so it does not show bogus calls on the queue on her clent?

    Hi Jonathan ,
What is your UCCX version .
Looking at the problem description i am suspecting that your system is hitting BUG:-CSCsu40814
    BUG:-CSCsu40814
    Symptom:
The supervisor desktop realtime reports will show an entry in "Oldest in Queue" that appears to be a call in the queue but has no time associated with it. The issue will show as 1(00:00:00)
    Conditions:
So far the only condition that exists is that calls are coming into the system.
    Workaround:
    None
    Further Problem Description:
The system RealTime Reports does not reflect this call and it is only shown in the Supervisor Desktop display. There is not actually a call in queue as well and it seems to be a reporting error.
The defect can be explained as follows:
++         This happens because of any of the  unsupported configurations/actions for UCCX.
++         This will lead the UCCX engine not to clear the entry of the call internally and thus it will send messages to the CSD to display the call.
++      Ideally when you have a legitimate call: "1[00:20:00]", this means that there is 1 call in the queue for 20min. However, 2[00:00:00] means that this call is no longer in the queue, but there is a false entry of the same.
++         Therefore, the restart of the engine will remove these entries
++         This entry will be created in the UCCX engine when an unsupported action is performed such as transfer to a different Route point etc. (not necessarily this).
++         The defect addresses how such a call is handled so that the call entry can be appropriately cleared.
++         It would be difficult to say why the issue started to occur, but we can explain as to why the entries are seen on CSD and how we can clear them.
    Please note the following:
++        All unsupported scenarios/configurations mentioned in the guide have to be avoided:
    o   http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_8_0/release/notes/uccx_802_rn.pdf
++         All the unsupported configurations can cause this issue to occur. However, the defect-fix has been verified for the following configurations:
    1.       When an agent on call c1 initiates consult c2 to the RP,cti port, c2 is just in the process of getting queued when agent completes transfer and so c1.iaqstate is set incorrectly to NOT_IN_QUEUE due to a race condition. The defect CSCsu40814 occurs even in regular, supported agent to rp transfer scenarios due to race condition.
    2.       As soon as the agent went reserved for the primary consult , he answered the primary consult but even before the main call could be fully transferred to the agent, He held the primary consult call and initiated a new call to the RP. This is what caused the main IAQ call to terminate.  And he was left only with the new call he initiated. So he again initiates another consult and completes transfer. So the agent wanted to answer the PRIMARY consult and immediately transfer it back to the RP without talking to the caller. In this particular scenario, the call was between 2 CTI ports
Issue can be resolved by restarting the CCX engine(in off hours). This is a temp workaround .
you need to check if agent's are not using any unsupported configuration .

  • Best way to handle calling the EP logon page

I would like to be able to handle the following:
    1. Start EP in anonymous/guest mode (basically unauthenticated).
    2. Present an iview that allows a user to fill in some information but when he/she clicks on a button it would first check if the user is logged on and if not -- call up the EP logon page/self registrtion page.  After logging in/self-registrating, the iview would continue processing.
What is the best way to handle this?

    Hi,
You have to download the com.sap.portal.logon standar "par" and modify the jsp file to simplify the logon page (maybe only input fields for user and password).
then upload the new .par file to the portal and update the authschems.xml file to redirect the default method to the new ".par".
You can insert an "enter" button in the home page that launh a pop up to a dummy page with property "default" authentication scheme. Automatically the Portal shows you in the little pop up the simplyfied login page to insert login data. The dummy page need to redirect the parent page to the portallauncher component and close itself.

  • UCCX Historical Reporting - Transferred Calls

    Hi All,
I've hit a brick wall in a UCCX script I'm currently working on. My client has requested stats on where agents are transferring calls. It's an operator-type position and it's fairly important to the client that she be able to guage the call volume to particular extensions.
I've gone through the majority of the standard report templates in UCCX Historical Reporting but haven't found anything suitable. I did notice that the "Agent Call Summary" report states the number of transferred called by a particular agent but not the extension the call were transferred to.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
    As always, thanks in advance.

What you want is essentially a custom cradle to grave report. I'm sure there are reporting packages that can do this but they are quite spendy.
You basically want to tie a UCCX session to the CDR records from the CUCM; if you are familiar with SQL that shouldn't be too much of a challenge. The trick is automating it.

  • UCCX 8.0(2) caller unable to select menu option while in queue

    Hi CC Community,
I am doing a UCCX 8.0(2) Premium installation with CME 7.1 and have configured an ICD script which sends the call to the available agent. I have configured the queue such that the caller can select a menu option after listening to the queue music if he needs to exit from the queue and leave a voice mail message.
I have done this before in the 5 and 7 versions but i find this wierd behaviour in 8.0(2) where the caller is unable to make a menu selection while waiting in queue. Has anyone else faced this on 8.0(2)? Any suggestions?

    Hi,
I have the same experience here with CME 7.1 and UCCX 8.0.2
The user can make some choice in the menus (so the DTMF are working fine) but when he's in the queue, the DTMF are not working anymore to make a choice in a menu ?!
    Did you solve it ?
    Thanks you in advance !

  • Contextual event - handler called before producer bean's setter

I am trying a simple contextual events usecase:
Page A.jsff has an input text field whose value is directly stored in a bean variable (bean is in pageFlowScope). Contextual event is defined on value change event for this input field. A.jsff has taskflow B_btf as an embedded region. This B_btf will simply display the value entered in the A.jsff. So, when contextual event is raised, the handler sets the value in a local variable of B_btf bean. The problem is that the handler method is getting called before the setter for the attribute of the bean of A.jsff. This is resulting in the B_btf displaying the last-but-one value entered in the input field of A.jsff instead of the current/latest value. Any tips?
    Thanks,
    Amitabh

The issue was with the (lack of) understanding of the JSF lifecycle. The value change listener is called during the Process Validation phase, whereas the managed bean (Model) values will be set in the Update Model phase which lies next-in-line after Process Validation phase. Hence, if the value change listener is to be used, then the handler code should have used the default payload and not the custom payload. For a value change event the default payLoad will be a DCBindingContainerValueChangeEvent, and one can invoke getNewValue() to get the value entered in the text field (For details watch Frank Nimphius' video here: ADF Region Interaction - Contextual Events - YouTube). For my case, I added a command button to the page, and moved the contextual event to that button.

  • Best Pratice of Error Handling calling multiple external components

I have used EJBs in my question, but it applies to any component/service that is exposed.
If I have EJB1 calling EJB2, what is the standard approach to handling an error received from EJB2? Does EJB1 simply pass it back or wrap its own error around it?
I use the term error to include exceptions & all information that would be used for debugging & used by the caller.
If we allow the errors from EJB2 to be returned to the caller of EJB1, then the caller of EJB1 must be aware of those errors.
If EJB1 wraps the errors from EJB1, then the caller of EJB1 only needs to know about errors returned from EJB1.
This can be extended a little and EJB1 calls multiple ejbs. Some of EJBs may be external EJBs or have the possibility of returning an error from a 3rd party tool.
What should be returned if EJB3 can return the same error as say EJB4? If (for some reason) the caller needs to know exactly when the problem occurred it would imply that additional information needs to be attached to the original error.
What would be a 'best practice' approach to returning the errors to the original caller?

I have used EJBs in my question, but it applies to
    any component/service that is exposed.
If I have EJB1 calling EJB2, what is the standard

EJBs are in a layer. For application programming layers will seldom return errors (plural) to other layers.
Within a layer handling depends on the context.

  • CUCM MTP can handle call G711 A-law with U-law

    Hi Team,
The service provider send the calls using G711alaw and the auto attendant using unity express using G711ulaw.
Could i use the call manager MTP to handle this call or it will not work without hardware transcoder.
I have already transcoder but it hangs after everyweek and i have to reset it to work again so i want to avoid that and use CUCM MTP instead
    Please advice

Correct Manish, in the beginning it didn't work but after restart the IP VOIP Media Streaming it starts work without need of hardware transcoder.

    Hello everyone
Before, when my customer used CAD as agent desktop,if the agent want to launch a post call survey, agent can press a customized button on  CAD whcih contained the function of launcing a blind transfer the call to a Survey script.
However,I find the function is missing when using UCCX finesse as agent desktop, which postone the plan to migaration from CAD to Finesse.
    My question:Is there any workaround?

I have exactly the same issue, we upgraded to Finesse and now I cannot find the way to configure it.
Agent used to press end and the calls transfered to the post survey, now after upgrade to Finesse no way to do it!!!
