UCES or CRM utility IC webclient

Dear Experts,
I am new to SAP. I want to know what is the t code to launch web portal of sap UCES.
Also which is more beneficial solution to utility company :- SAP UCES or SAP CRM for Utilities?
Kindly mention the critical differences between the two.

UCES is an external customer portal - customer e-services - and is not transaction code based.
CRM is used by internal utility customer service employees.
They have very different functions and uses.  You would not choose one or the other as they do not provide competing functions.
Please read the sticky threads at the top of the forum for basic introduction to utilities concepts and more ISU functionality.

  • Z Transaction Types not showing up at creation in CRM 5.2 WebClient

    Hi Experts,
    I am using CRM 5.2 with webclient.
    I have just created 3 transaction types (BUS2000126 & BUS2000125) copied from standard ones.
    I passed all other transactions as Inactive in SPRO.
    In GUI everything is OK, I can create each of these transactions properly.
    But in WebClient, when I click on "New", the pop-up appears but there is no value in it.
    Is there anything I would have forget in my customizing, anything I should do in the BOL???
    I 'd appreciate any help and reward with maximum points for any helpful answer,

    Aldo,
    I know for activities (BUS2000126) they must have the correct category assigned in order to show up in the creation list.  This is set under Assignment of Business Transactions Categories, and the customizing header data for the category Activity for the transaction you created.
    The class CL_CRM_UIU_BT_ACT_CUST_GET controls this logic.  There are calls to CRM_BSP_SALES_GET_PROC_TYPE which will retrieve the list of possible transaction types.  You can look at the method GET_PROC_TYPES_FOR_SCREEN_KIND in class CL_CRM_UI_BT_ACT_CUST_GET to see this logic.
    The class of the category of the activity must correspond to the allow values.

    The Accountingdata is impossible to see and fill in in the PC-UI in the CRM-SI ADDON, too.
    Please help. Because if there is some data and functinality is missing in the PCUI, we have no arguments to our customer to start a project to change from classic gui to pcui......

  • BW report for interactive scripts in CRM 4.0 webclient

    Hi, experts,
    good day,
    currently we have a requirement to develop interctive scripts in webclient environment , and developing in Interactive scripting editor,
    after developing the scripts we attch the profile  and  when we run it in the webclient , scripts runs automatically, so far all these functionalities working ,
    but i want to generate a report for , where i want to see the the number of scripts used perday, most frequently used scripts in the day  ,
    , where i can do this report,
    as i know that , i can generate a report for survey scripts, but these interactive scripts developed in external editor  and all we will do in the SPRO is attch the script name in the profile with the valid date , thats all,
    i am suspecting about a custome development , if am not wrong ????
    urgent help needed ,
    full point will be awarded, becuse, this is a limited functionality in SAP , across the projects in the world,

    Yes i know that scripting evolution,
    but i dont know where i can see that screen with the statistics.
    can you please tell me which TR code i need to use , to run the evolution screen, or which BSP i need to run to see that type of report, i went through the CR410_Col42_ICWEB document
    but i didnt find any clue, all i got is only explanation of scripting evolution,
    currently  scripts are storing at crmc_ic_SCRIPTS table , and it is storing the profile,name  script ID, date valid from, date valid to, fields
    when i run the above table i got a option on menu bar "" check table"" when i click this  system taking me to the below table called CRMD_IC_SCATTR  table, this table have fields like  objuect type ,object name , catogory,begin date , end date , logged by, fileds,
    I am confusing about these 2 tables, 1st table can not serve my need , 2nd table can serve my need a bit ,
    but it has another type of transactions like object name , object type....
    and in scripting profile , i have a field called ""History "" in this i have  2 options ""record script data in BW"" and ""Do not record"",
    can i use this to generate a report ??? as a standard format
    so i am planning like, i can go for a custom table, with the required fields like, user , date of run, time of run, department name , average time to run the script, ... etc
    this table record the data from actions in the webclient where CRA runs the scripts daily ,
    then we can generate a report from the BW or can run in CRM ,
    i think if you want i can write a new functionality  document for SAP AG , to add this functionality ,
    but please guide me in the above issue,

    Hello Panduranga,
    In addition to the attached thread provided by sreekanth that describes how to integrate a survey into the service ticket, you can also include a survey inside an interactive script used in the Interaction Center. This can be done using the default "Survey" template that is delivered with the Interactive Script Editor tool. You could also use the Lead template if you wanted to automatically create and qualify a lead based on the results of the survey. The online documentation for Interactive Scripting mentions both of these templates.

    HI Chandan,
    As per my understanding, the field is already available in UI. So the field must be available in the context node. To check it, you use F2 key to find the technical details of that from UI.
    So once you know the attribute and context name. Copy the   GETM_XYZ under that context node and rename it to GET_M_<Attribute name> .
    Sample code for get_m method is
    DATA: attr    TYPE BU_PARTNER.
      DATA: dref    TYPE REF TO data.
      GET REFERENCE OF attr INTO dref.
      metadata ?= if_bsp_model_binding~get_attribute_metadata(
           attribute_ref  = dref
           attribute_path = attribute_path
           name           = 'BP_NUMBER'  "#EC NOTEXT
         COMPONENT      =
           no_getter      = 1 ).
    Instead of BU_PARTNER, create another date element which matches with your requirement and use it.

    Our project includes ECC, CRM 5.1, SRM6.0 and Portal.
    The CRM 5.1 UI technology is BSP WebClient.
    SRM UI technology is ABAP WebDynpro.
    For our portal customers and vendors self-service, we have decided that ABAP WebDynpro will be used for new developments.
    If I need to develop new and simple web quote screens for our customer on the portal, can I mix ABAP webdynpro with CRM WebClient? For example, can I create a ABAP WD view and use existing classes used in the WebClient as controllers or is it better to stick with BSP webclient for this case?

  • SAP CRM 7.0 Webclient - Product Identification (IBase or IObject)

    Dear SAP IC-Experts ,
    I am new in the configuration of the SAP Interaction Center (SAP CRM 7.0) and have a process orientated question.
    In my proyect the company is producing bathroom products which are installed in hotels, private homes, etc.. They sell their products via partner so they in most cases dont know where there products are installed until the end-user calls when they have a service problem. In the Interaction Center I have seen the Account and Product-identification Workcenter Page.
    1. My first question is do I have to use IBase or IObjects to save the proyects in the Database? If I understood correctly IObjects can only be used if I have a serial-number for example which are used for cars or laptops to be able to uniquely identifie a product. As Bathroom products does not have this this kind of identification number to identify a single object I have to use IBase right? Additionaly I the company sells for example 30 times a shower cabine to a hotel I can not use IObject too because there is installed 30 times the same product in different floors and hotel rooms. This leads me to the conclusion that we have to use IBase which leads my directly to the second question
    2. When using IObjects there is a Create-Button to create a new IOBject but this create button does not exists for a IBase in the View. When the end-user is calling me can I create in a very short time the installed base (IBase)? I hope I could make myself clear?
    Basically I need to know if using IBase or IObjects for bathroom products and if using IBase how can I create it quickly as an IC Agent when the client is calling?

    Hello Oliver,
    Yes, you are correct. The IObject (individual object) is intended primarily for consumer-facing scenarios involving serialized registered products. For a B2B scenario where a company has a footprint of installed products (whether it be HVAC equipment, plumbing systems, faucets, etc.) it is probably preferrably to use the Installed Base object to model the installation.
    As you noticed, there is no native possibility to directly create new Installed Base hierachies from inside the Interaction Center directly (though there is an option for IObjects). The rationale here is that while a contact center agent would often register a new consumer product, they probably would not usually create new Installed Base hierarchies; rather this is something that, like creation of service contracts for example, is typically done by a Service Professional using the ServicePro role. However, you can always add a link to your IC menu to launch the ServicePro screen for IBase maintenance/creation in order to allow the agent to create or maintain the IBase hierarchy. A little cumbersom of course, but definitely a possible workaround.

  • CRM 5.0 Webclient - Characteristic Change Pointers

    Hi Gurus
    On ERP we have site values which have characteristic data attached.
    On a daily basis from ERP we run transaction BD21 with Message Type "CLFMAS" which picks up changed characteristic data and creates Idocs which are then sent to CRM and processed via an XI process.
    We've picked a scenario where it looks as if New Sites created do not have their characteristic data sent in this process.
    If we then make a change to the characteristic data for the new site and then run BD21, the data is picked up without issue.
    Would anyone know if this is due to the fact that it is seen as a new record and not a changed record that the new  characteristic data is not picked up for transer?

  • SAP CRM SERVICE IC WEBCLIENT E-MAIL RESPONSE SYSTEM

    I am new to WEBIC.  I am in CRM SERVICE.  I want to generate a E-mail to send to the customer automatically with respect to the SLA(Service Level Agreement).  With respect to the time delay from Service Ticket(Incident Registration).  If the delay is 4hours it should send automatic message with 100%DELAY.  If it is 2hours it should send automatic message to customer with 50%DELAY.  Can to tell me how to generate E-mails and how to caliculate 50% and 100%.  Is I need to insert mathematical expression in any where?  Please let me know step by step.  Is I need to Define Service, Assign service Manager Profile, Define Repository?  let me know clearly.  Thanks a lot.

    Ok, then that explains it!  If you are using ICI, then the emails are stored on the external email server and not in SAP CRM. The Interaction Record in CRM contains a pointer to the email on the server. But if you delete or archive the emails from the server, then you will get the error message in the IC. This is completely dependent on how you configure your external email server. You can certainly have access from the IC, but you need to configure your email server to keep the emails for the desired length of time (i.e., until you archive the Interaction Records in IC).
    The other option of couse is to use SAPConnect and the Agent Inbox with or without ERMS (or alternatively SAPConnect and ERMS Push) in which case the emails are stored in the SAP CRM system rather than on the external email server.

    If you want to insert BSP pages jsut go to SE80 and see the BSP application name and  enter.
    You will get existing pages. If you want to add new pages just right click and click create button.

    As I understood your requirement, you application wants to show some product bundles which are readily available for the user to choose. when user clicks on some button or link, these products should be added to basket or order template. or else, if user chooses order template, these product bundles should automatically added to the basket. is that?
