UDF for Total records

Hi
I have a scenario where sender is file. In file there is a field Total records.
I need to validate Total records field with the total records in the file using UDF..
Can any suggest me the how to write the cod efor this..

Hi Venkatesh,
In your source structure should Detail Records count equal to Total Record Count?
if yes,just create <b>Context</b> UDF and pass the following 2 inputs
1. <b>DetailRecord</b> -> RemoveContext
2. <b>TotalRecord</b>
and inside UDF write java code for validation
suppose if your inputs are a[](DetailRecord) and b[](TotalRecord)
int scnt = a.length;
int tcnt = Integer.parseInt(b[0]);
if( scnt != tcnt)
//write code to trigger an alert(from the following weblog)

Mass deletion of variants for Total Records

Hi there,
during tranings we create a lot of variants for the Total Records (UCWB->Analysis->Total Records->Save Variant). Is there a way to do a mass deletion of those variants?
The standard options of deleting variants only allows to delete one variant per selection.
We work with a SEM BCS EHP 4.

you can do a mass deletion of variants.
First you will need to find the program name for the Totals Records. This can be found from the totals records screen when you click the Get Variant button. Across the top of the dialogue box you will see;
"Variant catelogue for program XXXXXXXXX".
Note this program ID.
Go to TCode SE38
Key in the program - make sure the Short description for the Program is "List of Totals Records"
Check the Variants checkbox
Click on Display
From the menu - go Variants > Catelogue
This should give a list of the variants for the Totals Records. If not then you must have the wrong program.
Click the button which has the picture of the rubbish bin with the words "Selection Criteria".
This will then allow you to put a check mark against all the variants you want deleted.
Click the button which has the picture of the rubbish bin with the word "Variant"
This will then mass delete your variants.

Hierarchal Report for Fund Centre Hierarchy/Group for Total Records

Hello Gurus,
I need to check if there is some Hierarchal report in FM which displays the data as per my Funds Centre Hierarchy or group. Like there is a report in Cost Centre Accounting (S_ALR_87013611) which displays the figures according to different grouping on the left hand side of the screen.
In FM report for example if I will go to - FMB_PT01 - Totals Records report and populate the Funds Centre Group then system populates the report for the relevant funds centres in that group individually but do not group the figures logically as per the group structure like we have in Cost Centre Reporting.
Please advise if there is any such kind of report or is there any possibility of creating a report painter/writer or we need to go for fully customized report.

Hi,
This is a standard feature with Report Painter reports. S_ALR_87013611 is a Report Painter report in library 1VK report 1SIP-001. There are 4 standard FM reports in Report Painter library 4FM. You can also define your own FM reports under library 4FM. Please see the link below on how to create a report:

Total jobs getting more for one record

Hi Gurus,
In the report if I filtered for one record, the result should be TOTAL job scheduled(Key Figure-ZITSCKF) = 1 but since I modified the record for 3 times on different DATES(Character - ZIBFDCH) it is showing as TOTAL job scheduled = 3.
In update rules I mapped the DSO object (ZIBFDCH) to Info Cube object (ZITSCKF), I written a formulae that--- IF( IS_INITIAL( /BIC/ZIBFDCH ), 1, 0 ).
Please help me regarding this issue, points will be assigned.

Hi Kiran,
sice you have multiple modifications dates, what i think is, create intenal table sort baced on dates and read only one value for the combination of key fields like..DATES(Character - ZIBFDCH), DSO object (ZIBFDCH). so that one records for key combination will be updated to data target.

How can I get count of the total records shown in the report. When we set the report attributes, we have an option "Set Pagination from X to Y of Z"
Does anyone know how can I get the Z value from APEX variables.
I know we can use that query and get the count but I just want to know how we can use APEX Variables effectively.

When I am executing Profit center accounting totals records report 2KEE for a specific selection as below,

After report is generated and if drill down further, line items total is not matching with the report page, breakup gives different values but not the report value.
I tried report even after implementing OSS 892779 and 952263 but the result is same. I am using 4.7

Purchase Order Row UDF for Received Qty

Hi experts,
Can someone please recommend a way to create a row UDF for purchase orders to show the qty received? We cannot use a simple calculation like Qty-Open Qty because if the row is closed manually, the open qty becomes zero. Another problem is how to prompt the PO to update this value if additional GR PO's or AP Invoices are created. Thanks.

I should explain the circumstances more clearly. There is no problem with the standard GR PO or AP invoice receiving method. What I want is a reference field on the original PO showing the total qty received to date. For example: total of 1,000 pcs ordered -> 900 pcs received against several GR PO's -> want to see that 900 has been received back on the PO. Then let's say we want to close the PO line 100 pcs short.
I can think of 2 ways to go about this:
Method 1: Change the ordered qty from 1,000 to 900 -> row is closed, but lose the reference of the original order qty being 1,000.
Method 2: Close row manually and maintain the original order qty as reference, but lose b/o qty and it is difficult to tell how many pcs where received/closed short.
Is there another way to keep all the reference information?

Source and Target both structures contains matnr field.But we have to maintain total 18 chars at target matnr , because RFC in R/3 needed.So I want to add leading zero's when mapping. Can anybody provide the UDF code.

If you are doing the INSERT during runtime from a form first
create a sequence in SQL PLUS to handle the ORD_NO value:

and reference it as the ORD_NO parameter in your INSERT
statement:

Total records in database equals -1?

I have some code, accessing an Access database. As part of development I need to see how many total records there are, so I have the code I took off of bindings in CS 5:
          <p align="center">/<%=(Recordset1_first)%>/<%=(Recordset1_last)%>/<%=(Recordset1_total)%></p >
Why would _total always equal -1? The code is otherwise functional but the -1 does not change regardless if I add a record or delete a record?

Help for total count in a month

Hello everyone,I am reposting this message with the hope that I will get some help. Please help me I have a deadline to meet and maybe getting late in meeting the deadline.
Sometime back I had posted about the date function. I have that problem solved now my problem is that after finding all records which against each record I need to find the total count for that month if no records than I have to set it to a 0.
Here is how my program has been written.
PROCEDURE extract_materials

CURSOR xyz
BEGIN
FOR xyz1 IN xyz LOOP
-- once inside the loop for each of the record from
the cursor I need to find a total count for that record for everymonth in the year.
All these records will be instered in to a staging table
Can you please help me out with this. I really appreciate this.

Total record display in resultlist (interaction history)

Hi all,
May I know how can I add the total search data so that it can display in the interaction history page to show the total record found?
In most cases, like in Activity, it will show the total record found in resultlist. But not in interaction history page.
Can anyone advise?

If this is an ALV Grid report, then there are 2 answers:
===Answer1 (recommended by SAP)===
1. Create a "count" column of type I in your internal table.
2. In the field catalog specify do_sum = 'X'.
3. Put the value 1 in every record in your internal table:
LOOP AT itab.
itab-count = 1.
modify itab transporting count.
ENDLOOP.
===Answer2===
1. Add to your ITAB a column type c length 4 called color.
2. Put dummy data lines into the itab, and set their color to 'C310'. The alv Grid layout needs to set as:
ls_layout-info_fieldname = 'COLOR'.
3. In those dummy data lines, calculate the number of rows (the count) and put it as data.
4. You will have to add a hidden column (in FCAT: tech='X') and sort by it. For the dummy lines put '1' (for subtotal) or '2' (for total) and for regular data lines keep it initial.
The drawback of this approach is that the user has the power of destroying the sorting, so the yellow lines are not displayed at the end of report.
