Hi,
à
I need the UDP PORT 445 listed on SYSTEM Process.
à
Warning SYSTEM's UDP port 445 is not open or listening.
Based on your description, I’m a little confused with this issue. Please run following commands with administrator
permission and monitor the result. Would you please check and confirm whether any process listened the UDP port 445?
netstat –ab
netstat -a | find /i "445"
In addition, I noticed that you use Syshelp (Symantec validation tool) to check. I suggest that you would post
the warning message in Symantec Forum and confirm this issue. I believe we will get a better assistance there.
If anything I misunderstand, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
Justin Gu

    Are you looking for iPodService.exe?
Might be better to run services.msc from the run dialog and shut down the service polietly.

Hi Prasad, once you are in
spro- sd - sales -sales documents- sales document item -define item categories,
go to Additional Information-> Additional Information -> Display Key -> IMG Activity
this will show you a code, in this case SIMG_CFMENUOLSDVOV7

  • Removing an account not listed in System Preferences Accounts?

Somehow I inadvertently created a second account on my iMac that shows as an option at startup. I think I did this with the startup disc somehow. It's not listed in System Preferences>Accounts. How do I get rid of it?

I tried the terminal command first. It returned this line:
    dsebableroot: Command not found.
I then tried the instructions after the link http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1528?viewlocale=en_US
"Click the Finder icon in the Dock.
From the Go menu, choose Utilities.
    Open Directory Utility.
Click the lock in the Directory Utility window.
Enter an administrator account name and password, then click OK.
Choose Disable Root User from the Edit menu."
However in the Edit menu, "Disable Root User" is not an option. "Enable Root User" is.

  • Port 445 NOT Open BIG PIC

Here is one that will make you pull your hair out.
T61p installed and worked perfectly for 2 months. Then one day, could not see the T61p from my desktop XP PC. After weeks of troubleshooting with serveral different "experts", it came down to this:
In Network Sharing Centre - Sharing & Discovery, all but the last 2 items are turned on.
When you select View Status of the Local Area Connection, click the Properties button , File & Print sharing for Microsoft Networks is NOT checked. Thus port 445 is NOT open. Thus other computers on local network CANNOT see the Vista PC. If you check the item, port 445 opens and all is well again in Netowrk land.
    The problem is:
Everytime I boot the PC, why is File & Print Sharing for Microsoft Networks NOT checked?
Some very bright minds have not been able to solve this yet. But please, give it a go if you think you understand the intricacies of Vista networking. The only answer I have found so far ... the usual last resort with Microsoft OS's ... clean install ... AGAIN!
    Thanks.

Sounds like the "Local Area Connection" you are using has lost it's BIND to file and print sharing.
    Vista >
When you open network connections in your Control Panel (I'm using classic view btw) > open the icon "Network and Sharing Center" >  then click in the left menu of that window "Manage Network Connections"
It will bring up the window with the old style box with all your network connections on your computer.
then follow this image attached to set the BINDING for file and print sharing on the matching local area connection that you use in your network.    Just check the boxes for "File and Print Sharing for Microsoft Networks"
Also, sometimes Vista gets confused if you move your laptop around like I do from Home to Work and both have DHCP assigned addresses, sometimes it sets the connection to "Private Network" for the new DHCP address it aquires and then your can't see it.   It should be set to PUBLIC for other machines to see it also.
Change that in your "Network and Sharing Center"

  • L3 Cache disabled, non-functional or not listed in system profiler?

I have a 15" 1 ghz powerbook G4 titanium, and for as long as I can remember, the 1 MB L3 Cache it's supposed to have is not listed in the system profiler. It fails the power-on self test in OS 9, as well as the Apple Hardware test CD. IS there any way of investigating this? The machine seems to run okay, but i'm sure it's hindering the performance of it somehow...

    Hi Les,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
As far as "investigating" goes, you've done all you need to; three separate sources all indicating the same L3 failure is pretty solid evidence.
I'm sure you're correct that it affects performance; unfortunately, cache is soldered onto the logic board, so beyond replacing the logic board, there's nothing you can do. If you've lived with it this long, I'd continue to live with it and put the LB replacement money toward your next machine.

  • Why are applications not listed in System Profiler?

    Hi Apple Support Community,
System Profiler -> Software -> Applications displays "No information found." instead of the expected list of 64bit / 32bit applications installed.  What could cause this and how can I get System Profiler to rescan the applications installed?
    Thank you,
    System Version:          Mac OS X 10.6.8 (10K549)
    Kernel Version:          Darwin 10.8.0
    64-bit Kernel and Extensions:          Yes

Discussion thread http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=11077939 suggests Applications are not displayed in System Profiler because I purposefully disabled Spotlight for performance reasons and the indexing of external drives.

  • Screen sharing is not listed in system prefernces?

hi, I am trying to setup screen sharing so I can use my computer from iPod with vnc,
I know I need to enable screen sharing from system prefs. But it wont give the option.
    this is what's listed:
    personal file sharing
    windows sharing
    personal web sharing
    remote login
    FTP access
    apple remote desktop
    printer sharing
    xgrid.
    but not screen sharing

No BDAqua, Remote Login is for ssh, screen sharing is another name for VNC, and to start the built in Tiger VNC server enable Apple Remote Desktop, check out the "Access Privileges" screen and tick at least one user and the "VNC viewers may control screen with password" option choosing a strong password. You may then have to do some port forwarding/firewall configuration depending on your setup. There is also a free highly regarded VNC server called Vine Server which gives you more options, and is IMHO less buggy. Be aware however that VNC is inherently insecure unless you do it via an ssh tunnel.

  • CI and QE not listed on System Profiler

Hi All, I just picked up a MBP 15" 2.4Ghz, NVidia 8800M GT 256M ram, Model A1226 late 2007/early 2008. It has a few very small vertical lines down the left side. I took it to the Apple store to check the GPU out and it passed. While looking at posts here and Google, it was suggested to disable Quartz Extreme. So I looked at System Profiler and Core Image and Quartz Extreme are not even listed.
    NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT:
    Chipset Model: GeForce 8600M GT
    Type: GPU
    Bus: PCIe
    PCIe Lane Width: x1
    VRAM (Total): 256 MB
    Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de)
    Device ID: 0x0407
    Revision ID: 0x00a1
    ROM Revision: 3175
    Displays:
    Color LCD:
    Resolution: 1440 x 900
    Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888)
    Main Display: Yes
    Mirror: Off
    Online: Yes
    Built-In: Yes
    Display Connector:
    Status: No Display Connected
Could the previous owner have disabled them? How do I get them back?
    Any help,
    Glynn

Just found my answer...Since ALL Intel cpu's support Quartz Extreme, it is no longer listed on a Snow Leopard Mac. The same is true for Core Image.
    Cheers

  • Port 445 taking up massive bandwidth, looking for explantion

    Good morning fellow IT workers!
I was looking at my netflow data today and noticed that users on remote sites were bypassing their Domain Controllers and going right to the main office's. All of this traffic was on port 445 (MicrosoftAD) from user workstations and was just curious
as to why this may be happening. Within the past two weeks its taken up 13.9GB on the circuit. While I have some general knowledge of AD, I'm hoping you fine people could point me in a better direction as to why port 445 on user workstations is bypassing the
remote site DC and going straight to the main site DC.
    Thank you in advance!

    Hi,
How many users are there in the remote sites?
Is there file sharing service on the domain controller? The file sharing service also use TCP/UDP port 445.
The TCP/UDP port 445 is not used by Active Directory directly. It is used by SMB. The AD uses SMB to transmit data.
Please run the command below on the client. It will tell us that which process sends the traffic.
    netstat -abon
    Best Regards.

  • Document number not listed in FEBA/FF67

    Hi,
i use manual bank statement recon (FF67 & FEBA). this is the 1st time this scenario happened. after we have processed the bank rec, we noted that 1 document number is not listed in the FEBA list under statement number 002.
eg. doc # 30001, doc #30002, doc #30004 --> meaning doc #30003 is not listed BUT system generated the doc #30003.
then when we do detail checking, doc #30003 is duplicate of doc#30002.
    anyone encounter this bug before?

    hello,
does anyone knows why system skip to list down the document which has been generated? and the doc generated is duplicate posting for 1 of the documents?

  • Operations Manager 2012 doesn't listening SNMP Trap UDP port 162

    hi,
SCOM 2012 SP1, how come the operations manager started but the SNMP Trap UDP port 162 not listening?
Without this port listening, I can't testing SNMP trap on SCOM.
    Thanks...KEN

    Hi,
As described in the following blog, the TRAP service should be installed but turned off, we could not get traps coming in until we turned the service back on.
So please verify if the service is on. You can continue audit the ports by running netstat –a.

  • Pls confirm SMB over TCP/IP w/o NetBIOS (port 445)

Pls confirm that Mac OS X natively supports SMB over TCP/IP w/o NetBIOS layer, i.e. have you been able to connect to a Windows mashine on port 445 (not 139) w/o port remapping.
    MB 2.0   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

I just talked for 30 min with one of the university network sysadmins. Apparently, OS X does NOT support "native" SMB over TCP/IP on 445 (i.e. w/o handshake session on 139). It probably could be done thru VPN or DAVE software, but not thru Finder. There doesn't seem to be an easy fix to smb.conf or nsmb.conf that might do that.
Most of the firewalls around here filter 139 (but not 445) so PC can share with PC over Samba, but Mac can not. Way to go, Apple.
