UI - DI for Matrix - Grids

Hi,
I'd like to know/understand better 3 things:
1) if the correct method to load the matrix control of UI is the one explained in the beginning distributable examples ( AddDataSourceToForm , BindDataToForm
... ) or if it is possibile to load the data using DI Objects. If yes, how?
2)if I use the Matrix of User Interface can I display the fields of more than one table relating them via code or do I have to create a view for this scope? Creating a view isn't dangerous for futures updates of B1 versions ?
3) if there is the possibility to load data in some standard grid/matrix control of Windows-VB (not those supplied by UI of Sap Business One passing the DI Object (in a way similar to Ado Datacontrol ..)

re 1)
You will have to use UI API's UserDataSource(s), if you want to get the data from DI API objects. There is no option to tie a DI object to some UI element.
re 2)
Again a view will not help when you want to use DBDataSource(s). You will basically have to do the same as for 1)...
And of course, if there are changes in the DB structure of SAP Business One, your view won't work any longer...
re 3)
You can use whatever you want (DI API's RecordSet object - or any other way to get the data from the database).

Hi,
Are you trying to read the data in the matrix of a system form? Then you only have to look for the matrix with the ID you can see by visualising the System Information in B1 and then directly read from the matrix cells (using columns element in matrix), the DBDataSources are not filled in until the document has been added to the database.
There are many messages in this forum talking about how to read information in matrix item, just make a search for it.

Instead of using prompts and the page, you can put the selectable dimension onto the POV of both grids and set it to current user pov on both grids.
This way it will work, but the drawback is that you cannot make user select multiple members for that dimension, which is possible with prompts.

How to set variant for ALV grid from ABAP

I have a program which displays some data with ALV grid. Then after some operation I would like to set different layout for the grid, but not by choosing it manually but by the program. I thought that it would be enough to use the method SET_VARIANT, so I'm setting DISVARIANT structure properly, using SET_VARIANT method and after that I'm calling REFRESH_TABLE_DISPLAY but layout is not changed. What else should I do? Is that possible?

F.01 Summary Report for ALV grid

Hi all,
We have defined our financial statement version (FSV). We have been running tests in transaction F.01, when we choose ALV Tree output the transaction works perfectly.
However, if we choose ALV grid output and then choose "1" in the Summary Report field (highest summary level, only main points of Balance sheet P&L statement should be displayed) the output is not summarized at all.
In short, no matter what number we put in the Summary Report field we always get the same output.
What needs to be done in order to be able to use this summarization control?
Any help will be appreciated.

Have you successfully created a summarization for ALV grid output?
I just want to know if it is worthy to devote time to it or just use classic list or ALV tree when appropiate.

PRVF-4007 : User equivalence check failed for user "grid"

Oracle Version 11.2.0.3.0 patched to 11.2.0.3.1
I had installed GIU and RAC db on 2 node cluster
but since yesterdy has this issue when running the commands
[grid@vmorarac2 ~]$ cluvfy comp ocr -n all -verbose
Verifying OCR integrity
ERROR:
PRVF-4008 : User equivalence unavailable on all the specified nodes
Verification cannot proceed
vmorarac1 and vmorarac2 r the two nodes
as a grid user, from vmorarac1 i ran ssh vmorarac2 and it failed with above error and vice versa
so i did the following
from vmorarac1
ssh vmorarac2
yes and enter key
exec /usr/bin/ssh-agent $SHELL
/usr/bin/ssh-add
i did the same on other node
but the problem still exists.

If you can see are different issue.
If you are using DSN to resolve hostname "vmorarac-scan.pbi.global.pvt" check with "nslookup" if the name is resolved correctly.
If you are using Hosts File to resolve hostname "vmorarac-scan.pbi.global.pvt" you must configure only one ip (152.144.199.201) to resolve "vmorarac-scan.pbi.global.pvt" this entrie must be on host file of all nodes of cluster.

Nope. It is the first image from the first track of the first album that has artwork. As you move your pointer over the icon you will get any other images assoicated with that composer.

Declare a layout as follows :

and then pass the layout with the required title.

I do not know how to configure ASM for oracle grid infrastructure. As i tried to install oracle grid infrastructure says [INS - 30507] Empty ASM disk group.

RAC environment setup for OEM Grid Control

Hi All,
One of my customer is setting up RAC environment for OEM Grid Control, he has following questions.
1) Can I use the DirectNFS client on each RAC node to mount SAN storage created with an OCFS2 filesystem?
2) Can I use the DirectNSF client to mount the shared filesystem loader directory?
3) Should I be using DirectNFS for the shared filesystem loader at all? Or should I just use a normal Linux NFS mount?
4) Is OCFS2 preferred over NFS for the shared filesystem loader?
Any information is highly appriciated.
