UIX date field search javascript problem

Hallo,
I've found problem during setting criteria for date in search region.
Calendar does not apear because of javascript error in Common_2_2_20.js line 5527 "a4 has no properties".
It can be reproduced in jhsdemo (choose Arthur Miller, login, advanced search, "Order" tab, filter by any date and press calendar button).
Do You have any workaround for that?
Regards,
Kuba

Kuba,
The Javascript file you mention is a UIX Javascript library, so this sounds like a JDeveloper/ADF issue that is not related to JHeadstart. To simplify the test case, you could create a simple drag-and-drop ADF application without JHeadstart and see if the same problem occurs there. Can you please log a TAR at MetaLink ( http://metalink.oracle.com/ ), or ask this question at the JDeveloper forum at http://otn.oracle.com/discussionforums/jdev.html ?
Thanks,

  • Date field navigator controll problem

    Hi Friends,
    Recently i have implemented the one view with the DATE field as a input field, The date field data type is sy-datum.
    When i click the date field F4 help, the new pop up will be triggered and shows the date calander. the funcitonality is correct.
    Now my use want's restrict the date field navagator with in given period only, For example the date field low value is 01/01/2010 and high value is  31/12/2010, The user want's to see the date field calander betweeen 01/01/2010 and 31/12/2010, user do not want to see the other dates.
    Can you please help about the issues. the solution is more helpful for me , if possible please provide the solution.
    Thanks & Regards

    I noticed the same behaviour. As it turns out, it IS a JHeadstart problem that causes this error to happen. When I generate a UIX paga with both an Advanced Search region and a Quick Search region, this error only happens in the Quick Search region. The Advanced Search region works fine.
    Using the FireBug extension for Firefox I noticed this difference between Advanced Search and Quick Search: Advanced Search passes on a reference to the input element into the reference variable and no error is thrown. Quick Search passes on an array of input elements and since an array doesn;t know of the select() method, an error is thrown.
    I will create a worksround for this issue by modifying the ADF JavaScript library since I now know where this error happens. Please review this situation and try and solve this.
    Thanks a lot in advance,

  • Uix date field

    Hi,
    I am using a messageDateField inside a table to display dates coming out of database in a uix page. I see the dates but uix changes them based on local timezone. e.g. the database has date as 02/25/2005, now if I run the application from EST time zone, I see the date as 02/25/2005 but if I run the same application from PST timezone, the date appears as 02/24/2005.
    Is this a bug?
    Thanks,
    Amish

    After quite research on this, finally we found that its a bug in jdev release 10.1.2 and Oracle is asking to wait for next release. The suggested workaround is to change date type from util.Date to sql.Date in java class. However I tried this it fixed the date once but then I change the date back to util.Date and dates don't go back to original. (in other words I can't reproduce the problem so we are not sure if this is a stable workaround. We are going to wait for jdev 1013 stable release and take it from there.

  • Problem with updating Time component of an Oracle Date field in ALBPM

    Hi.
    I'm new to ALBPM and am experiencing the following problem I hope someone can take the time to help out with.
    I'm using a Date and Time Picker element in a Form to enter the date and time information. Within ALBPM the date and time representation appears correct as it prints out what I've entered. The logMessage displays this information in the form "YYYY-MM-DD HH24:mm:ss+TimezoneOffset". The BPM Object that stores this value is referencing an Oracle table that has an equivalent Date field. My problem is that it appears to only update the Date component.
    I've also tried using the native Time variable type within ALBPM be adding an variable of type Time to the BPM Object and setting the result Database object equal to this Time variable with the same result. The Time variable was declared with Timestamp precision (take this to mean both Date and Time components).
    Has anyone come across this problem? I'm using ALBPM Studio 6.0 M3 as my release.
    Thanks.

    I must have deselected the "Use Timestamp for Date columns" in the Advanced tab within the External Resource definition for my database at some point in time. Enabling this option fixed my problem - silly me.

  • How do I populate my date fields placed on Master Page for multiple pages?

    I have a dynamic form with flowing fields. I inserted date fields using the Master Pages tab within Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES2, Windows 7 OS. I have only 1 Master Page. Everything on the form is working properly, except when I have multiple pages, the date fields are blank on all but the first page. One of the date fields has javascript in the exit event to calculate the second date field. I can manually edit the subsequent page(s) date fields, but I don't want the end user to have to do that. I want the date fields on the new pages to equal the date fields on the first pages. Below is my output with notes to provide a visualization of what I'm looking for.
    Many thanks in advance for anyone who can help me with this issue!
    Caroline

    Hey Mandy,
    Yes, both date fields are on the Master Page. The first one is set to "User entered - Required" and the second to "Calculated - User Can Override"
    And that's right, I used your script to calculate the second date field. The only thing I changed was the field name, and used 6 days instead since I wanted the calendar days to only run a full week, like start on a Monday and end on Sunday.
    Thx,
    C

  • Distributed Document Capture and date fields

    Greetings!
    We are using Oracle Distributed Document Capture and Universal Content Management as repository, it works fine. However we defined a custom metadata field with data type "date" in UCM and we defined a scan profile with its asssociated date field and the problem that we have is when we are using the distributed document capture client and the user selects a date from the calendar and send the document, the commit process fails with the following error message :
    The field 'xxx' does not contain a valid date.
    However If the user types the date field as "29/01/2009 00:00" the commit process works fine and the document is stored on UCM.
    My question is how to enable the calendar on the Distributed Document Capture client in order to enter a valid date with format "dd/m/yyyy hh:mm"
    Thanks!

    Thanks for your answer I set the property "Automatically assign a Content ID on check in" Should I specify the minor revision label and the major revision label?.
    Because I set just the "Automatically assign a Content ID on check in" and now I got the following when I am scanning documents:
    ***Error*** Failed to process batch 01354425_01354446. Error Number: 40011, Error: Failed to commit batch (with delete). Commit Profile - ucm: Document file already exists. Commit is configured to abort. Document File: \\svrdocumentos_ejc_ejercito_mil_co\batch\00J\0000000D\0000000D_1.TIF
    The good news is the previous error "Error Number: 40008" is solved
    I really appreciate yor help.
    Thanks.

  • Problem with Date fields in Search panel

    Hi all,
    I use TP2 and in my jspx page I have a search panel with two date fields and table where the results is displayed. But there is a problem with these date fields, because when I search dates the results is nothing even I retype the date from table. Also I have other pages where this problem exist with same structure.
    Could somebody help me with some advice?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Frank,
    Thanks for the answer.
    I use the standart method to make search panel with drag and drop the data control to the page. The other search panel fileds work fine, only the date fileds are problem. Maybe something in view object doesn't work properly.
    Here I post the code from my page.

  • Omni portlet - javascript - date field problem

    I want to manipulate a database date type field with javascript in omniportlet layout.
    In the source tab of omniportlet I use the SQL: (it's very simple for example)

    In the layout tab (HTML form). I write this javascript code in Repeating Section: (it's very simple for example)
    <script type="text/javascript">

    It's not woking. Anytime I use the ##EDATE## or ##ENDDATE## in my javascript code, It's not working.
    If I put ##EDATE## of ##ENDDATE## in the HTML's body, it's display well.
    I am really mad with it.

  • Searching 2 years either side of a date field?

    Hi
    In my query I would like the search to be able to search 2 years either side of a specified search date in my interactive report
    select
    ROWID,
    ID,
    COLUMN1,
    COLUMN2,
    TO_CHAR(INDDOB, 'YYYY') AS NEWYEAR
    from TABLENAME
    ORDER BY INDDOB asc
    The interactive report is also using custom Javascript to offer an autocomplete search as per this thread For VC - Using multiple Autocomplete on a page?
    So I am unsure how this would work by allowing the date results to include 2 years either side of the chosen date?

    Mike many thanks for this
    INDDOB is a date field in the DB and the item name is :YEARD
    Using the following WHERE clause and a default vale of 1930 in the :YEARD item name is returning the correct result i.e. 1930 plus records from 1928,1929,1931 and 1932
    select
    ROWID,
    ID,
    INDSUB,
    INDDOD,
    INDREG,
    INDENT,
    INDDOD,
    INITCAP(INDSNAME) indsname,
    INITCAP(INDFNAME) INDFNAME,
    TO_CHAR(INDDOD, 'YYYY') AS NEWYEAR,
    DELDOC from   RAMBO.TABLENAME
    WHERE to_char(INDDOD,'YYYY') between :YEARD -2 and :YEARD +2
    ORDER BY INDDOD asc
    The problem is however when I try and change the search value in :YEARD from the default 1930 to for example 1950 (which is also in the db)
    When doing this it brings back no results? Could it be something to do with the associated code below which provides an autocomplete feature and search of the IA report as you type in the field name.
    In the :YEARD item under label and HTML table Cell attributes has the following
    onkeydown="if($f_Enter(event)){srch3($v('YEARD')); return false;}"
    and under the list of values in the definition for :YEARD is
    select distinct TO_CHAR(INDDOD, 'YYYY') from RAMBO.TABLENAME order by 1
    Also under page and Javascript is the following
    function srch2(pItem, pColumn) {
       $.post('wwv_flow.show',
              {"p_request"          : 'APXWGT',
              "p_widget_action"     : 'FILTER',
              "p_widget_action_mod" : 'ADD',
              "p_widget_mod"        : 'ACTION',
              "p_widget_name"       : 'worksheet',
              "p_flow_id"           : $v('pFlowId'),
              "p_flow_step_id"      : $v('pFlowStepId'),
              "p_instance"          : $v('pInstance'),
              "x01"                 : $v('apexir_WORKSHEET_ID'),
              "x02"                 : $v('apexir_REPORT_ID'),
              "x03"                 : pColumn,
              "f01"                 : ['COLUMN', pColumn, '=', $v(pItem), null, 'minutes']
             function(data){
                //when the filter has been successfully applied the report has to be refreshed
                if(data=="true"){
                   gReport.pull();
       //clear the item
       $s(pItem,'');
    $(document).ready(function(){
       //hide IR toolbar
       $('#apexir_TOOLBAR').hide();
       $('#P4_AC').bind("result", function(){
          //on selecting a value then fire the search function

  • Problem with Date-Field

    Hi,
    I have a problem with a date-field. Maybe I must describe the problem more detailled, but first I just want to ask you, if you know the following error-message: "21.10.2010 kommt nicht in der Menge der erlaubten Werte vor". I don't know the correct translation but it must be something like this: "21.10.2010 does not occur in the quantity of the permitted values". I don't find the position in the sourcecode of this message. And I know, that this message isn't thrown by a functionblock from SAP. So what is the describtion of this message?

    Yes I have a date field in my form. Ok I must describe it more detailled. I have an employee searchfield. After select an employee you see a form. After filling the form you click on "Send". It creates a ticket and sends the data to the Backend and jumps back to the employee search field. Untill this point everything works fine. There is no problem with the datefield. Now I want to create the form. I choose an employee and fill the form. But now it comes this message. But not after clicking the "send" button. The message comes after changing some data (e.g. change a radio button). So it looks like a validationproblem, but only at the second creationprocess. Maybe the first date is in some cache? I don't know...

  • Runtime :Javascript problem when trying to display the date binded to RFC

    Hi all,
    I am facing a very strange problem. I Have used a Bapi to pass some inputs to the Bapi function and binded the UI with that. But for the date field when i am running the application and trying to specify some date it is giving some Javascript Error and not Showing the date Dialog box
    The Error is "SAPUR_January is null or not an object"
    Is anyone has any idea on it, then please let me know at the earliest.
    Mukesh

    Hi armin and Mani
    For armin: I did't understand for what you are refering to.
    For Mani: Hi mani those are the Input fields and by default they are binded to the Date field only and user has to supply the date parameter. The Small box that comes when you bind a UI field with the Date type when i am clicking on that i am reciving that error.

  • Search Page by date field not showing up results

    Hi,
    I am using Jdev 11g and new to adf.
    My applciation needs a search page based on a date field.
    I created a viewcriteria for the object which expects a date field from the user.( the bind variable is of type Date)
    After this i dragged the viewcriteria as af:query (panel with table) on the jspx page.
    Now when i run the application, that is when i enter the date (calendar autogenerated by query component),
    it does not show up any results.
    My date field in the database has a timestamp attached to it, somewhere i read that the timestamp may be causing the problem.
    But i have not found any solution for this one.
    This looks very basic to me, i am sure i am missing soemthing important.
    Besides i even tried the approach of programmaticlly populating the Viewobject(by not using the any query component),
    i can see the Viewobject being populated in the logs( the row count) but on the display page, no rows are shown.
    I am sure i am doing something wrong for this one.
          AppModuleImpl am = this.getAm();
           ViewObject submittalVO = am.findViewObject("AcrSubmittallogView1");
           System.out.println("after getting VO");
           String subDate = this.getSubDate().getValue().toString();
           String query = " to_char(SubmitDtTm,'mm/dd/yyyy') = '"+subDate+"'";
           submittalVO.setWhereClause(query);
           System.out.println("QUERY>>>> "+submittalVO.getQuery());
           submittalVO.executeQuery();
          System.out.println("after executing query "+submittalVO.getRowCount());
           this.setRenderLogTable(true);But i actually want to use the built in query component instead of programmatically doing it.
    Can someone please guide me further.
    Any help will be grt.
    Thanks in advance

    Still not working for me either, here's exactly what I'm doing.
    My query is as follows:
    SELECT
    RO.repair_line_id,
    RO.repair_number,
    SR.customer_po_number, segment1,
    trunc(RO.creation_date) as creation_date,
    I've created a Bind Variable for the creation_date as follows:
    <Variable
    Name="createDate"
    Kind="viewcriteria"
    Type="oracle.jbo.domain.Date"/>
    Which is linked to a view criteria:
    <ViewCriteria
    Name="RepairSearchVVOCriteria"
    ViewObjectName="com.services.cs.vvo.RepairSearchVVO"
    Conjunction="AND">
    <Properties>
    <CustomProperties>
    <Property
    Name="displayOperators"
    Value="InAdvancedMode"/>
    <Property
    Name="autoExecute"
    Value="false"/>
    <Property
    Name="allowConjunctionOverride"
    Value="true"/>
    <Property
    Name="showInList"
    Value="true"/>
    <Property
    Name="mode"
    Value="Basic"/>
    </CustomProperties>
    </Properties>
    <ViewCriteriaRow
    Name="vcrow1"
    UpperColumns="1">
    <ViewCriteriaItem
    Name="CreationDate"
    ViewAttribute="CreationDate"
    Operator="="
    Conjunction="AND"
    Value=":createDate"
    IsBindVarValue="true"
    Required="Optional"/>
    </ViewCriteriaRow>
    </ViewCriteria>
    I then dragged the criteria into the page. When running it I get the following:
    AND SR.customer_id =:psCustomerId) QRSLT WHERE ( ( (CREATION_DATE = :createDate ) ) )
    <ViewObjectImpl><bindParametersForCollection> [3510] Bind params for ViewObject: [com.xxx.services.cs.vvo.RepairSearchVVO]RepairSearchAM.RepairSearchVVO1
    <OracleSQLBuilderImpl><bindParamValue> [3511] Binding param "psCustomerId": 34758
    <OracleSQLBuilderImpl><bindParamValue> [3512] Binding param "createDate": 2010-02-18
    Which never brings back any data. My date's look as follows in the database:
    '18-FEB-10'
    I never get any results for the date. I've also tried using the to_char to format the date as the same format, but that always gives a variety of errors. This is driving me batty =0 Any ideas on why it never pulls back data?
    Thanks, Graeme.

    date1 = w_date1(ztable-date1). "ztable-date1 - is screen field.

  • Problem querying date fields

    I am having a problem querying on date fields using the Thin driver. I originally had the problem in the context of a bean used by a JSP, but reproduced the problem in a test app. The problem is that despite the fields being populated and verifying the SQL in SQLPLUS, the calls to ResultSet.getString() and getDate() always return null.
    I run the query as follows:
    results = statement.executeQuery("select NAME, START_DATE from EMPLOYEES where id=1");
    String startDate;
    try{
    results.next();
    startDate = results.getString("START_DATE");
    catch ...
    startDate always comes up null.
    I have also tried ResultSet.getDate(), same problem.
    Am I doing something wrong, or is there a bug? I have searched the news groups and bug reports and haven't found anything.
    Also, a possibly related problem:
    Using the same driver, a where clause of the form "where START_DATE < {d `2000-01-01'}" does not return any records, despite several qualifying records in the database.
    This literal date format comes from section 11.3 of the JDBC 1.2 spec. Am I using this correctly?
    I am using the 8.1.6 driver, and I think the db is 8 or 8i, I will check with the DBA tomorrow.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Al

    Use PreparedStatement and its set methods instead. It will not only protect you from SQL injections, but it will absolutely also ease setting Java objects in an SQL query.
