UIX/XML: buttons in tables

Question

I've created a table, that contains one column with a button. When a user clicks this button I want to trigger an event and in the event handler I want to determine the row of the button that the user has clicked.
My question: How do I do that?
I had a look a the table_LOV.uix file in the demoBundle. There they use a databound eventhandler. While that is certainly possible for my problem too, this solution is not exactly pretty. Is there any other way to determine the row on the client side, set a formparameter and then trigger the event?

Sure. Try something like:

  <formParameter name="rowClicked"/>
  <table>
     <submitButton ctrl:event="someSubmit" ...>
       <boundAttribute name="onClick">
         <fixed text="document.someForm.rowClicked='"/>
         <dataObject select="theRowKey"/>
         <fixed text="'"/>
       </boundAttribute>
     </submitButton>
  </table>Basically, we're binding "onClick" to a Javascript handler that'll set a "rowClicked"
parameter correctly depending on the row. You need to supply the "theRowKey" in your
table's data and fix up the names to match your code, etc., but this should be pretty
straightforward.
