• Can't access some secure sites through proxy?

can't access some secure sites through proxy server on osx it just keeps going local authority couldn't be contacted, i had the same problem with parental controls, but now that is off and its still doing it, is there a setting or something i need to enable?

In my original post, not today's, I had said I was having the issues on the Mini, running OSX 10.6.8 and Safari v.5.1.5 for my bank's pill pay. I should have been more specific as to which machine and OSX Safari browser I'm having the T-Mobile problem with. My mistake.
It is on both the MacMini and now the Air too. A moment ago, I was able to log in to my.t-mobile.com on the Air, but after putting into my Bookmarks folder, I can't do it anymore. The Log in button comes up greyed out instead of green.
I'm also still having trouble with my bank's bill pay section on both computers too.
I wonder if it's related to the saving of the log in info or putting in the Bookmark Folder?

• Unable to access National Lottery website

Any other ideas anyone?

I've been in touch with The Lottery helpline by email:and had the reply below.Service EmailDear Mr Neno
Thank you for your email dated 02 July 2015, I am sorry to hear you have experienced difficulties accessing your National Lottery Account. We are unaware of any technical issues with this aspect of the National Lottery website.
Our Technical Team has investigated this issue and based on the IP address information (151.224.54.36) in your email they have been unable to establish any software which would render your IP address unrecognisable to our system.
A possible reason for the difficulties you are experiencing is that there may be a firewall preventing access to our secure pages. You would need to contact your computer administrator for more information on possible ways around this. I would also suggest checking that your privacy/security settings are at medium.
Please ensure that when you are visiting our website, that you type our web address directly in to your browser’s address bar. Do not access our site through a link, a search engine, the National Lottery app or your Favourites/Bookmarks.
Our web address is:
http://www.national-lottery.co.uk
I also suggest using an alternative browser.
I then phoned them and they asked me to ask you these 3 questions 1. Is Sky Routing my signal abroad?2. Is my I.P. address fixed?3. Do SKY use an anonomiser on my I.P. address?

Looks like verdana is selected to 'off' in font book. Not sure if this could be the reason as to why i'm experiencing problems.

Are you using cleanup software like CCleaner or other software that may corrupt the cache?
You can try to delete the entire cache folder.
You can find the location of the cache folder on the about:cache page (open via the location bar, like a web page).
You can check the browser.cache.disk.enable pref on the about:config page to verify that the disk cache is enabled (should be true).

• Can't access my financial sites - culprit Firefox 2.0 or Security Update ?

I recently installed Firefox 2.0 on all the Macs in our house. subsequently I installed the 2006/7 security update on my G5. Now, every time I try to access my banking sites on the G5(!0.3.8), which is my main desktop computer I get an errot message "trying to validate certificate from ******* using OCSP - server error"
My Macbook has no problem, nor the trusty G4 iMac.
Also, I can access these banking sites using Netscape.
I'm a long-term fan of Firefox - but this is so frustrating.
Any ideas, anyone?

Hope I can get to you this way... I am new to the fourm and I can not find a way to post a new question... I guess I am not very bright!
Here's my problem...it is somewhat siumular to the orginal thread.
My band just changed the security settings for logging into their system. When I log on to their sight I get the home page but the little box where you add your account number in the middle of the page (I know it is a little box becuase I have seen it on other computers) comes up as a solid line. They folks at the bank are not very helpful and have told me that I needed a JAVA update. I did this buy have had not luck. A few months back the bank did an update and I lost the ablity to read the "button boxes" on their home page, so this has been an ongoing problem. I could deal with the invisible button problem by just hacking around till I hit what I wanted, but this new problem will not allow me to inter my account number so that I can access my account. I would appreciate any help you can give and again, I am sorry for posting this way. I can not find a place anywhere on the fourms screen that says "New Post."
Thanks,
P.S. I have a 2003 IMAC running panther?. Mine is the funny looking half basketball looking computer.

• I can't access a familiar site with firefox now. why do I have to change to IE. never have had to in the past

I feel a bit like Im walking into the past, but Im having the same issue same site. I have Clear, and can open the site in chrome. Not however in Safari.
Im making an effort to Un- Google my world so help on this frontier would be great, The folks at Clear say "We just sell access, we don't block." I believe them, they're not comcast.

• Dear All, I can't play flash videos from any web site through firefox because it freezes but when i run firefox as administrator then it works fine (But Google Chrome Plays all videos normally.) . I am using Windows 7 & Firefox 7.0.1. Please help

Dear All,
Firefox hangs when i try to play flash videos from any site but when i run firefox as administrator it works fine. (but Google Chrome, Opera & I.E9 Plays videos without running as administrator.) I am using Windows 7 & Firefox 7.0.1. Please help.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

• Failed to access IPv6 only site with Firefox

I am assessing my company IPv6 readiness with Firefox. We have our internal DNS (dual stack) set up now responding with IPv6 address only for the host name of a test web server. I configured a test Windows machine (dual stack), with said DNS, and was able to ping with the test web server with host name.
Now comes Firefox. I can access my test web server with IPv6 URL (http://[a:b:c:d:e:f:g:h] kind) but when I cut and paste the host name (the one I successfully pinged with) , no, Firefox can't access it. What could be the problem that cause Firefox to not resolve that name to the proper address? Ping works fine, why doesn't Firefox?

Make sure you don't have IPv6 disabled.
See that network.dns.disableIPv6 is not set to true (from about:config).
