Unable occur lock on a object- ...

Hi,
First let myself explain the scenario,
One Oracle user access an table object in a schema by running a batch process. after 20 min, due to more time the batch process is taking, he terminated the session. at this time i check in back end, the session is still in active stage and the session still accessing cursor created by them for that table following query.
sql> select type,object from v$accesss where sid=##;
Then i killed that session. Even after i am killing that session, the cursor created by that session still there. But the session status is killed. When the user once again tryed to truncate the same object he got an error saying that ora-00054

    Hi Harshit,
Try with the following steps in sequence:
    1. Re-genarate the proxy in Development - Create a New Transport Reuest.
    2. Transport the Proxy from PI Dev to PI OA
    3. Confirm the Proxy in PI QA and then, transport the re-generated Request from ECC Dev to ECC QA.

You can filter ADM templates to show configured ones only, and you can
use the "show all settings" node. This will speed the work up - a little
    bit at least :)

    Hi tomhowell,
According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you created a site from a custom site template after migrading SharePoint 2010 to your server.
Did you have the original solution file of the site template? Please re-deploy the solution to your SharePoint site, then create a site from the new site template, compare the result.
Also use  SPDisposeCheck to indentify the memory leak:

  • Opatch error: Unable to lock Central Inventory

    A) When applying Oracle one-off patches I get this error:
Unable to lock Central Inventory.  Stop trying per user-request?
OPatchSession cannot load inventory for the given Oracle Home /oracle/VRQ/102_64. Possible causes are:
No read or write permission to ORACLE_HOME/.patch_storage
Central Inventory is locked by another OUI instance
No read permission to Central Inventory
The lock file exists in ORACLE_HOME/.patch_storage
The Oracle Home does not exist in Central Inventory
    B) Researching the error, I find thes solutions...
This error may occur because of any one or more of the following reasons:
    1. The ORACLE_HOME/.patch_storage may not have read/write permissions. Ensure that you give read/write permissions to this folder and apply the patch again.
    2. There may be another Oracle Universal Installer instance running. Stop it and try applying the patch again.
    3. The Central Inventory may not have read permission. Ensure that you give read permission to the Central Inventory and apply the patch again.
    4. The ORACLE_HOME/.patch_storage directory might be locked. If this directory is locked, you will find a file named patch_locked inside this directory. This may be due to a previously failed installation of a patch. To remove the lock, restore the Oracle home and remove the patch_locked file from the ORACLE_HOME/.patch_storage directory. For more information on restoring the Oracle home, refer to section "Restoring Oracle Homes".
    5. The Oracle home may not be present in the Central Inventory. This may be due to a corrupted or lost inventory or the inventory may not be registered in the Central Inventory. For more information, refer to section "Diagnosing and Recovering from Central Inventory Corruption".
    C) Everyhing looks okay. What am I missing?
    Oracle - 10.2.0.4
    OS - AIX 6.1
Multiple database on the server: IPQ and VRQ
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
did you setup a seperate oraInventory for each of both instances as recommended?
    Check the contents of oraInst.loc
(On Solaris in /var/opt/oracle, not sure if the same on AIX)
It should point to the Inventory Location.
May be yours is pointing to the other ORACLE_HOME-Inventory.
I tend to use the Inventory location
/oracle/SID/oraInventory, so each ORACLE_HOME has its
    own non-mixed inventory.
But you have to keep in mind that oraInst.loc needs to be adjusted,
when you use runInstaller or OPatch !
Or is one ORACLE_HOME a binary copy of another?
A bianary copied ORACLE_HOME is non patchable at all, as far as I know.
In this case (beside this is not a supported SAP configuration), you need to
apply the patches to your copy-Source and do a re-copy.
There is a meatlink note describing how to use a cloned ORACLE_HOME,
but again: This is not supported within SAP!
    Hope this helps

  • Java Real-Time System HotSpot(TM) Client VM warning: unable to lock pages i

    Error:
Java Real-Time System HotSpot(TM) Client VM warning: unable to lock pages into memory
I'm getting this error, although I have assigned all the needed privilegs to root and I am logged in as root. I have done everything described in the guidelines to get the privilegs, but still this warning occurs.
But my application still works completely with no appreciable differences.
So my question is: Does this warning affect the performance of my application?? Or can I live with this warning?
    Gordon

Determinism is an important issue in my application. That's why page locking should be active in my application. When I'm determining the ScopedMemory size via VM like:
... -XX:ScopedSize=500000000 ...Then page locking works with a size of 500 mb very well. But when I try to set the ScopedSize value to 1 gb, then the exception (unable to lock page...) is thrown. So it seems as if I had all the required rights, but the huge size is not supported.
The System has about 6 gb of DDR2Ram and minimum 5 gb are free during starting the VM. So are there any other parameters except ScopedSize that I can change, to allow the VM to lock memory with a size of about 1 gb? Or where is the problem with locking such big sizes?
    Thanks,
    Gordon

  • Fail to generate PDF and give exception Unable to LOCK

Hi members.. today we generate Adobe PDF in R/3 and hit such error.
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_FP_API_INTERNAL', was not caught
      in
procedure "GENERATE_PDF" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
    Unable to lock form ZTFPT50
Anyone face this error before, tried google around but not much info about it.
    Thanks, many thanks,
    kahwai

    Hi Otto,
I am having a similar issue:
The occurrence of the exception is closely related to the occurrence of
a previous exception "CX_FP_API_INTERNAL", which was raised in the program
    "SAPLFPGEN",
specifically in line 38 of the (include) program "LFPGENF01".
The cause of the exception was:
    Unable to lock form ********
I was creating a Web Request in our CRM 7.0 System and I needed to update the Request Data Structure with a few new fields. After adding these fields and saving, I regenerated my Adobe Interactive Form to create the new fields, activated my form, checked my interface, and then tried to run my web request again. Now I am receiving the above error telling me that the form cannot be locked. Any ideas/suggestions of what might be the issue?
    Thanks,
    Chris
    UPDATE:
I have figured out the problem. It wasn't the lock that was the problem, the first run of the program is accessing the table D010INC table doing a DELETE and is causing an extremely long runtime causing the program to timeout. I was just running the web request while that was still processing and that is why it was telling the form cannout be locked. The note Note 1232776 - Long runtimes for accesses to D010INC or D010TAB address the long runtime accesses for the D010INC table and is a BASIS issue.

  • Locking on Method objects?

    my understanding is that:
public synchronized void counter() { usageCounter++;  }is equivalent to:
    public void counter() {
      synchronized(this) {
        usageCounter++;
}locking the whole object has some overhead. could this overhead be eliminated using this approach:
    public void counter() {
      Method m = this.getClass().getMethod("counter", new Class[0]);
      synchronized(m) {
        usageCounter++;
} // and this method is the only way to modify "usageCounter"
    }what exactly does this do?
my understanding is that a Method object is static and immutable . they are created when the relevant class is loaded.
so, it really makes no difference that i sync on the " +counter()+ " method object when i am in " +counter()+ ". right? i could just as easily sync on maybe the " +counter123()+ " method object.
btw, do immutable objects have mutable locks? my code compiles/runs correctly. though, i've not done extensive testing to see if i get a "ConcurrentModificationException"
anyway, this is all hypothetical. just trying to learn about java. and maybe someday i can answer, rather than post, questions.
    thanks.

what exactly does this do?Uses a Method object as a lock. Note: a Method is only a representation of the compiled method. You cannot get access to the compiled method.
Method object is static and immutable .Its neither. You can have more than one per real method (not static in any sense of the word) and they are mutable. e.g. setAccessible()
they are created when the relevant class is loaded.No. When the class is loaded, neither the compiled method (created when you call the method) nor the Method object are created are loaded (The first Merthod is created the first time it is needed and then copied as required, the Class has a soft reference to a cached copy which means the cached copy is discarded on a full gc, potentially recreated later)
it really makes no difference that i sync on the " counter() " method object when i am in " counter() ". right? Locking on a object means different threads can be accessing different objects at once, but two threads cannot access different synchronized methods on the same object at once.
In your case you have the opposite. Different thread would not be able to concurrently access a method (even for different objects) but would be able to access different methods of the same object.
Except, as Method is mutable, getMethod() returns a different object each time, so your lock effectively does nothing.
The purpose of synchronization is to protect mutable data i.e. fields of an object, not protect methods.
immutable objects have mutable locks? All objects have locks, immutable object are no different. (Java doesn't know the object is immutable, perhaps it should, but it doesn't)
i've not done extensive testing to see if i get a "ConcurrentModificationException"You could be waiting a while as this only occurs on Iterator for some collections. Note: you can get this exception with just one thread.
just trying to learn about java. and maybe someday i can answer, rather than post, questions. This is a good place to do that.

  • ORA-27086: unable to lock file over NFS -- but it's NOT Netapp!

My 10.2 database crashed, and when it came back I got the following error:
    ORA-00202: control file: '/local/opt/oracle/product/10.2.0/dbs/lkFOOBAR'
ORA-27086: unable to lock file - already in use
Linux-x86_64 Error: 11: Resource temporarily unavailable
This is a classic symptom of a Netapp problem, which likes to hold file locks open on NFS mounts. There is a standard procedure for clearing those locks; see, for instance, document 429912.1 on Metalink.
Unfortunately, my files are mounted on an Isilon, one of Netapp's twisted cousins. I can find no references to "isilon" on Metalink, and we are at a loss how to resolve this.
My sysadmin assures me that "there are no locks on the Isilon". But I know this cannot be the case, because if I do the following:
    1. delete the lockfile /local/opt/oracle/product/10.2.0/dbs/lkFOOBAR, and then
    2. move my controlfiles aside, and then copy them back into place,
then the database will mount. However, it will not open, because now all the datafiles have locks.
Is there anyone with experience in clearing NFS locks? I know this is more of a SA task than DBA, but I am sure my SA has overlooked something.
    Thanks

    New information:
As stated above, I moved the controlfiles aside and then copied them back into place, like this:
    mv control01.ctl control01-bak.ctl
cp control01-bak.ctl control01.ctlDid that for each controlfile, and then the database mounted.
But, after rebooting the machine, we discovered that all locks were back in place-- it looks like the system is locking the files on boot-up, and not letting them go. The lock is held by PID 1, which is init.
sculkget: lock held by PID: 1This is definitely looking like a major system issue, and not a DBA issue, and hence I have little right to expect assistance in this forum. But nonetheless I lay my situation out here before you all in case someone else recognizes my problem before the server bursts into flames!
The system is CentOS 4.5-- not my choice, but that's the way it is.

Is this an issue that is addressed by a later FP?

    Hi Rajesh,
Were you able to resolve this issue? I am facing the same issue with almost every BOE 11.5 SP3 server on Windows.
For example, the Input file server says this -
"Unable to get the admin object for the FileServerAdmin service for server Input.BOCMSMSGT1.fileserver".

  • GPM Custom GPO-Settings: An error occurred while generating report: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

    Hello,
As you can tell from the title of this question, I am no expert with GPO's.  Before I begin, I spent a few minutes to an hour searching and reading in hopes of finding the solution and avoid putting myself out there as a "GPO Newb".  While
I found several posts and answers that were similar and were related, the questions and answers were more advanced and did present the solutions providing the person had initial knowledge already.  That is not necessarily my case and I would ask for a
little patience and a bit of 'hand-holding' for what I need.
I run SBS 2011, and in Group Policy Management I have a custom GPO.  In this GPO I define all my settings.  I understand this may not be the best or most practical method of applying policies, but I am not very strict and have few settings.  This
policy existed prior to my joining the company, and was migrated in to this SBS '11 from SBS '03.  That may be the issue, but before making any changes I am seeking expert advice.
When I select that GPO, named "Main GPO", and click on the tab at the top "Settings" I see the error: "An error occurred while generating report: Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
I saw that when I right click the GPO > View > Options and select the tab "Reporting" that it states that for reporting to work the location of the .adm files must be specified.  I see that my option for the location is set to "Default"
which by my guessing would be located in the C:\Windows\sysvol directory.  Below is what I see there:
    C:\Windows\sysvol\domain
    C:\Windows\sysvol\staging
    C:\Windows\sysvol\staging areas
    C:\Windows\sysvol\sysvol
I think the problem is that my custom GPO are not inside the default location, which I speculate is: C:\Windows\sysvol\domain\policies (which I do see some objects there).
But instead I also see items in this folder: C:\Windows\sysvol\sysvol\JOHN.LOCAL\policies (while where I just typed 'JOHN.LOCAL' is my actual local domain).
To further this, when I edit that custom GPO, then at the very top of the tree I right click on it and select Properties, I see a Unique Name listed there as a long string of numbers and letters, similar to a registry entry.  I searched my server for
that same Unique Name and found it listed inside the folder: C:\Windows\sysvol\domain\policies
If I am correct with my assumption and basic knowledge, I should move all objects as follows:
    -Move FROM: C:\Windows\sysvol\domain\policies
    -Move TO: C:\Windows\sysvol\sysvol\JOHN.LOCAL\policies
My concerns are that I am not correct at all, that I will break something, that there may be an easier fix than moving anything, or that I am overlooking something causing this error altogether.
Thank you for anyone's help and time with assisting me with this request.
    John Fester

    > top "Settings" I see the error: "An error occurred while generating

That's due to a security setting (most possibly) your current OS does
not understand. Hard to find out wich exact setting it is... To resolve
this issue, we need the gtpptmpl.inf file residing in the policiy's
sysvol folder. To open this folder, edit the policy, move to computer
settings - policies - windows settings - scripts - startup, press "show
files". Then move two folders upwards and back down to
    .\microsoft\windows nt\secedit. There you'll see the gpttmpl.inf - post
its contents and we'll have a look at it.
    > location, which I speculate is: C:\Windows\sysvol\domain\policies (which

That's perfectly ok - JOHN.LOCAL in fact is a symlink pointing to "domain".
