"Unable to Access" error msg for BI Publisher Report

Hello All,
I am getting the following error when trying to access a BI Publisher report from the dashbaord. We can access the folders that come with BI Publisher examples, ie Executives, Financials, HR Manager but not the "GTR" that we have created.
Privelleges are the same. The folders have the same rights too.
This is for OBIEE 10.1.3.4 with BI Publisher of the same version, running on a solaris box.
Any thoughts.

No, this is nothing to be concerned with. Assuming you have auto-client push enabled, it will try to push the client agent to a resource without the agent every hour for 7 days. Thus, after the 7 day period expires from the last time it was discovered,
it won't try to push to this system anymore.

Where in the world did you read Deleting All My Mail? I have reread my answer several times and cannot seem to find that in there.
When you mark a message for deletion it does just that. It marks it for deletion and hides the message. It is not truly deleted until you compact.
My point is that unless you deleted your important mail they should still be there somewhere.
Your question was about compacting and thinking it put your messages in a nice little box for safe keeping and now you want to open it.
I have to agree that Thunderbird did a horrible job of naming this process because most are like you and do not understand what it actually does. I included the link to the explanation of what compacting means in the Thunderbird world.
Your messages may still be available to your but finding them has nothing to do with compacting.
Thunderbird does not archive anything unless you use that process by selecting the message and pressing a. You have the option to setup where you want that archive to go and what folders to make.
The All Mail folder is a goofy gmail arrangement. If you have problems with that then you need to address that with Google.
If you go into your gmail account on the gmail site do you see the messages you are hunting in the All Mail folder there?

Hi,
Are you getting this problem with the Desktop, Plus or Viewer editions? It could be that the database is generating the exception. You will need to trace the database session to see the error.

how can i hide the error msg for the mandatory fields when they are not entered?? when i don't put a value in a mandatory field and commit the form, an error msg occurs teelling to enter the value for that mandatory field, but the error msg is not friendly at all and i want to hide it.

I'll assume you are talking about ADF Faces + ADF Business Components application, since you don't mention it.
If you are talking about the pop-up Javascript dialog box that pops up, you can do the following:
1). Set required=false on those fields in your JSP.
2). Set showrequired=true on those same fields so that there is a visual indication that the fields are required
3). Ensure the attribute to which the fields are bound have "mandatory" set to true in the BC's
Now, when you commit the form, you will not see the Javascript pop-up, but you will see a message in the af:messages component.

"not all variables bound" error in a BI publisher report

Hi, I'm getting a "ORA-01008: not all variables bound" error in my BI publisher report. The SQL query looks like this:
select
...--a bunch of rows
from
tbl1,tbl2,...,tblk
where
...--and conditions performing inner joins
and
(('*') in &p_SomeParameter or tbl3.SomeValueOfSameType in &p_SomeParameter)
Yet, when I comment out this last and condition, it works. Also, the default value for this parameter is ('*'). I get this error even when just trying to look the xml data itself. Has anyone seen "ORA-01008: not all variables bound" caused by a BI-Publisher report before?
Why haven't I gotten a reply to this? Did I make myself clear enough? The query runs fine in Toad. Therefore this means that BI Publisher is mangling the query before it has a chance to be processed by the Oracle RDBMS. Therefore I want to know why BI Publisher is mangling my select query and causing the RDBMS to return a "not all variables bound" error.

But i need to create same parameters in RTF Template , so that when i publish this report in dashboard , parameters will be visible. just you need to add parameter heading and corresponding xml tag name to get the parameter value on the report.

Declare Parameter in RTF Template
Before you use the parameter in the RTF template file you need to declare it first. You can do so by having the following syntax.

Note: where %parameter_name% is the parameter name that you have created at the BI Publisher Server UI.
Here is an example:

Use it in RTF Template!
Once it’s declared in the RTF template you can start using it as the same way you use the variable. You need to just add ‘$’ prefix in front of the parameter name. Here is the example:

The above example would print the parameter value in the report output. If you want to use this value in your condition or calculation you can simply use it as ‘$param1’. Yes, it’s that simple.
If you are not sure if and how the parameter values are passed to the report when you run the report you can use this command in your RTF template, which will return all the parameter values passed to the RTF template at the runtime.

FO processing for XML Publisher Report Bursting Program

I am facing the following problem: if i try to burst a report using XML Publisher Report Bursting Program special characters like (ş,ţ,ă, etc.) in the resulting PDF look strange. I have tried running the report without bursting it and the characters appear just fine (after i've set the FO Processing Font Mapping). My guess is that XML Publisher Report Bursting Program is not using the right font mapping. Have you faced this problem before? Do you have any idea how to set the right font mapping for XML Publisher Report Bursting Program.

So the answer was to make sure the location in the bursting file (location="xdo://schema.template_code.en.US) exactly matches the language/country setting in the uploaded Definition. Then make sure the fonts have been added to the xdo.cfg file matching what your Font Mappings are:

Unable to open PDF portfolio (Error Msg: "For the best experience, open this PDF portfolio in...)

I am having a problem opening an important PDF portfolio document using Adobe Reader (version 11.0.02) for Mac (Mountain Lion version 10.8.3).
When I attempt to open the file, I come up with the error message: "For the best experience, open this PDF portfolio in Acrobat 9 or Adobe Reader 9, or later", and I am unable to view the document. This is becoming very frustrating, as I am attempting to open the document with the new version of Adobe Reader (which I have downloaded multiple times).
If anyone has a solution for this problem that would be very helpful!

Psc 2175 printer error msg for SD memory card

I inserted a micro SD card from my cell phone using an SD adapter in the SD slot of my 2175 all-in-one. The printer reads the card and comes back with an error msg. Computer runs XP.
Latest printer driver was installed. Put a std. SD card in and it works fine. Brought the micro SD in the adapter to store and put it into a new printer. It worked fine.
I heard HP 2175 has a problem reading certain cell phone microSD cards and developed a fix for this problem. Unable to find it.The Motorola Z6c cell phone supports JPEG as does the HP printer. HELP!

Ok, I tried to reformat it, on my Mac but when I do I get a Input/Output error. So I tried to reformat in my PC, when I try to there is a pop up saying "Please enter a disk into Drive F." "Unknown Error" msg. for Officejet J3640

My printer, about 6 months old, has always been unreliable. It refuses to print and it refuses to give me an error number or title. I have searched all the posts here in the forum, I have run a test page (all okay), printed a document from Word 2007 (sometimes okay), but it won't print my online bank statement. The printer has an LED but there is not a message there. My OS is XP, 3rd SP, and my computer is a Dell Optiples GX270. Help!

Unable to access Login Items for Accounts in System Preferences

I've created an image for computers at my school. When I go into System Preferences>Accounts, and authenticate, I am unable to access the Login Items tab. The tab isn't grayed out or anything. It's just that when I click on it, nothing happens. It stays on the Password tab. The only way I can get out of it is to quit System Preferences. Any ideas?

If you are connecting to a OS X Server, make sure that you're not managing Login Items (Click on Preferences in WorkGroup Manager, then Login, then the Items tab). I had the same problem and setting that preference to Never solved it for me.
