Unable to close some custom forms

Hi Gurus,
We did application migration from Hp-Unix to Sun Solaris. Oracle apps 11.5.10.2 with database 10.2.0.4 and application working good with few issues.
Issues:
1. Few custom forms ( message Forms) unable to close. If we close by clicking X mark on top right corner, it does not close can just minimise.
2. Couple of Custom forms does not open even we have .fmx in the custom folder.
Need some suggestions on this issues.

How to close a custom form from CUSTOM.pll

Dear Friends,
We need your help on the following issue related to Oracle Apps Forms.
We have a requirement to show a popup message (message should remain open and user should be able to continue working in the order entry form. User use this message as a reference while entering order details) when user enters a customer name or number in the order entry form . This is similar to the Stock Availability form which gets opened automatically when control enters into Order Entry Lines form, where the stock availability form remains open while entering line details.
To fullfil the requirement, we have designed a custom form with a single text field in which the message text (some customer information) will be shown.
We are using custom.pll to call this custom form (thru FND_FUNCTION.EXECUTE) when the control leaves customer number field. User could leave this custom form open and continue with entering order details. Till this point we could achieve what we want. i.e. we could show the popup message in the custom form after user enters a customer number.
The problem is, after the custom form is opened, when we enter a new order for different customer, we need to close the custom form (which is opened for the previous customer) if the customer is not qualified.
we could not achieve this. We tried using CLOSE_FORM, CLOSE_WINDOW, but did not help.
Any body have any suggestions on achieving this... Basically, we need your help to know how we can close the custom form from CUSTOM.pll.

I thing you haven't any (supported) option to close a form via custom.pll.
For a long time, we have search a solution for the same problem without any result.

Unable to save using custom form in Public folder?

Hi,
Years ago I created a custom form for a Public calendar folder. Recently I was asked to update that custom form, which I did. Then I published it to the Public folder and changed the properties of the folder to use the new form as the default.
This all seemed to work, when we create a new record we get the custom form. Problem is when we try to Save & Close I get the following error message:
"The item cannot be saved to this folder. The folder was deleted or moved, or you do not have permission. Do you want to save a copy of it in the default folder for the item."
If I hit "Yes" I think it saves in my personal calendar folder, if I hit "No" it just goes away.
I've been Googling this for a number of hours but all I find it reference to an old MS article about the mail box being full, which it isn't.
If I switch back to the original custom form I can save records all day long. Which indicates to me that I actually do have rights and that the mail box isn't full. I have owner rights to this Public calendar.
Any other thoughts? I did try clearing the forms cache but that didn't seem to have any affect.
Incidentally, I was also asked to update a customized form on a different Public calendar folder and that went off without a hitch.

Make sure you have the right values in the Authentication Plugins in your Custom Form Authentication Scheme. You may have used different field names in your HTML form than the ones that are in your Plugins. Also, make sure the webgate.dll is protected by a Policy Domain. If all is set up right, and it still doesnt work, bounce everything including the IIS server.
I have seen situations with IIS where changes in the Access Server configuration are not picked up until you bounce the webgate / IIS server. This doesnt seem to be the case with Apache or Sun JSWS.

Unable to open a custom form. FRM-47023 error.

Hello experts,
I am currently in a 11i to R12.1.3 upgrade and trying to open a custom form in R12. I compiled the form in forms builder 10.1.2.3.0 and in the db with no errors. When I try to open it in the apps it displays the following error messages:
1) FRM-47023: No such parameter named G_QUERY_FIND exists in form ....XXX_CUSTOM_FORM.
2) FRM-40105: Unable to resolve reference to item PARAMTER.G_QUERY_FIND.
3) FRM 41052: Cannot find Window: Invalid ID.
4) FRM-40700: No such trigger: menu_to_appcore
5) FRM-47023: No such paramter named HR_MODE exists in form AMZ_RESPAPPRV.
6) FRM-40105: Unable to resolve reference to iem PARAMETER.HR_MODE.
I do have all the pl/sql libraries downloaded. If I didn't then forms builder would complain and not let me compile.
I am not sure what is causing it. Any ideas what is causing it?

Unable to close open PDF form after viewing it

Hi All,
We have an issue with a webdynpro application in Java. In this application, we are make using of the Interactive form to bring up a PDF form that the users can print. Our issue is that there is no gracefull way to exit the window once the PDF is displayed.
There's no way to close the browser window that opens PDF except shutting
down the computer, and this happens only for few users and not for every one
We are on EP6.0 SP18 and using Adobe 7.0.9

I have seen this problem in 8.0 but after installing the reader 8.1 it got solved.

How to use custom forms created in SharePoint 2007 to work in SharePoint 2010

Hi,
We have created some custom forms in SharePoint 2007 (for add a New item and Edit item for some list and libraries) after migration to SP 2010 we found out thet we can use those custom forms because the document versions are 12.0.0.0 which
should be 14.0.0.0 in SharePoint 2010
Could someone please tell me if we can migrate forms from SP2007 to SP2010 as well?
I even tried to change document Version and content but still not working! Do we need to recreate those forms in SP2010?

How did you do for changing document version and content?
Whether you tried to set the forms update automatically, then re-publish them.

Attach a customized form to the std BSP application

Hi,
We have a requirement, to replace the std form linked to the std BSP application with the customized form.
We have replaced the form in the table V_SCENARIOHEAD, even though we are unable to see our customized form, still its showing the std form.
Would anyone give me a clue for the above problem.

No it is not possible to have one party fill the form and another contribute attachments. You might consider using two forms. One for the applicant and one for people submitting letters of recommendation. You would then have to correlate the two types of submission in a manual process.

Custom form EBS 11.5.10.2 to open attachments, FND_LOBS, kind of FNDATTCH form

Hi all, I have a requirement to make a custom form to open attachments from a new custom table, we think to clone FND_LOBS table and create a new one ex. FND_LOBS2, this new custom form must navigate through these records and open attachments as well. I was reviewing FNDATTCH form but it's kind of complex form.
Does anyone have some custom form to open attachments?

How to close custom form from standard form.

Hi,
I have the following requirement which I can not handle.
I open custom form from menu special position which is available in standard form on particular window and block only. So custom form may be open only when the window of standard from is open.
My requirement is to close custom form when the window of standard form is closing or when standard form is closing. I can not modifiy stanard form so I need to use forms personalization. I have problem in form personalization:
1) to handle "when-form-exit" event / trigger (when window closing I can handle by when "new item instance" where cursor goes and appropriate conditions).
2) to navigate to my custom form to close it, like "go_form" in Forms Builder.
Is it possible do achieve with forms personalization or maybe in some other way?

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
* Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
* Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
* Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Unable to Manage custom forms in Exchange 2013 Public Folders or Organizational Forms Library

We've been doing custom forms development for many years and many versions of Exchange. This Exchange 2013 presented me with this new problem. We use Exchange 2013 with Cumulative Update 5, and Outlook 2007, 2010 and 2013. This problem
happens on all versions of the latest patched Outlooks.
1) I have successfully created a Public Folder and an Organizational Forms Library
2) I have granted myself "Owner" privilege to the entire public folder in both the IPM_Subtree and the Non_IPM_Subtree
3) I can publish forms into a Public Folder and the Organizational Forms Library
But, after the form is published, I can't manage it. The COPY, UPDATE, DELETE, PROPERTIES, and SAVE AS buttons are greyed out.
This does not happen for anything in my Personal Forms, my Mailbox or anything in Favorites that are locally cached.
Since the Organizational Forms Library cannot be "Cached" by putting it in Favorites, there seems to be NO way to even delete a form that is published to there.

A) Anybody else have the same problem?
B) Since it seems I only have control over forms in my Mailbox, and since Public Folders are suppose to be an mailbox, does anyone know how to setup a Public Folder so that you can login to it and attach it as a mailbox?

Easy steps to reproduce the problem.
1) create a public folder subfolder (do not create a Favorite)
2) make yourself and OWNER
3) publish a form to the subfolder (Open a any form and save it with any name)
4) use the Form Manager select the public folder subfolder that you are an OWNER of
5) select a form and see if the buttons are GRAYED out.
PLEASE TRY THIS ON YOUR OWN SYSTEMS TO VERIFY THE PROBLEM.

If Mail is preventing shutdown, when it happens go to the Apple Menu>Force Quit, select Mail and click on Force Quit - it should then continue to a normal shutdown.

Adding Attachments feature to custom form in ERP

We have a custom form in Release 11.0 of the ERP. I want to
enable the attachments functionality for this form. I have
found the call
APP_SPECIAL.ENABLE('ATTACHMENTS',PROPERTY_ON);
This will enable the attachments button (the paperclip icon) but
when I invoke it, I cannot save attachments and, instead, get
errors. I'm sure I'm missing a configuration step, but have
been unable to find the proper documentation.

The frustrating thing is that I believe I'm getting close to the solution. I can create a perfect PDF form by using MS Word to create the watermark in the background. If I try and import the Word document straight into LiveCycle, it converts the word art to an image (poorly to boot). I can convert the Word document to a PDF and it looks wonderful. If I use that PDF to start with in LiveCycle, all of the text capabilities are turned off for some reason. I can create text FIELDS or check boxes but there can be no text within them. Still, the resulting PDF has a wonderful watermark that isn't selectable in Acrobat. I would just hate to have to create this entire form within Word and then only be able to use LiveCycle to create the check boxes and text fields. The problem with this process is that every time I have to make updates or revisions, I would have to re-import them from Word and create the form completely again.
Any thoughts?
BTW, thanks so much for your responses so far! I just haven't been able to sit down with this software since I posted the question to try out the possible solutions until tonight!

How to create a Custom form Template..

I would like to seek a help from you regarding creating a custom form template on custom BO. could you guide me where i have gone wrong in successfully creating a Print form. I am in dead need of this particular solution for a client. It is hampering my entire scenario......
1. I had created a Custom BO and I am trying to preview the created form on the OIF screen.
2. I had created a form on above of the custom BO. This created form and form group is activated and configured as of needed by opening it through ALD (Adobe Life Cycle Designer).
3. I had created a BAC element with some scoping questions and activated it. After activating it i had deployed the Business configuration.
4. my solution got updated with the created and deployed BAC elements and i had done scoping for those elements to make my created form available.
5. I can see my form template in Form Template maitaince under Application user managment WOC. I had made it to be available for all users and published.
6. All the above steps are done success fully with no errors.
7. When i accessed my custom BO and tried to preview the created form i am unable to view it and i am seeing the following window.
Could you help me out in solving this or send me across any detailed document regarding this what you had done previously.

It looks like system didn't identify the form template. So please check if the required configuration for "Preview" modal dialog is done properly. In the SDK documentation, refer to section "8.4.3.4 Create a Preview Button for a Print Form"
If you have already done the steps mentioned in the section 8.4.3.4, but still facing the issue then let me know.
