Unable to compile form module in 6i

Hi,
I had created a form using forms 6.0 and oracle 8.0 database. now when i am trying to compile the same form using 9i DB and tring to compile. While tryin to compile a form module forms builder gives an error message
ora-00600 [17003],[63034260],[961],[1],[],[],[],[] on a program unit which refers a stored procedure in the database, when i am bring the stored procedure to the program unit the form successfully compiles, whereas obviously the performance is drastically reduced.
Here is the developer environment i am using, i would also like to tell you that i am trying to migrate my forms and the backend to 9i and forms 6i. I would also like to know wether is there any need to apply any patch on win2000 professional, i had applied service pack 4 to the installation.

Arun,
Forms 6.0 is not certified with Oracle DB 9i. You need at least Forms 6i patch 10

  • Unable to compile form in unix

    Hi All,
    When I am trying to compile a form in unix using the below command:
    $ORACLE_HOME/bin/f60gen module=ICQTYUH2.fmb userid=apps/test99 output_file=ICQTYUH2.fmx module_type=form batch=no compile_all=yes
    I am getting the below message and the form is not getting compiled.

    Some additional info I also tried to compile some exisitng forms in the same directroy and those are getting compiled. So then i transfer a compiled form to my harddrive and open it with formbuilder and then save it and ftp it to unix. Again when I try to compile the same form without even making any change I am getting same message.
    So I am suspecting there is something wrong when I am opening and saving the form builder. Can anybody assist me with this problem.
    Thanks.

    I am pretty sure transfer is happening correctly. I am taking care of the binary mode of transfer. Moreover when I transfer an already compiled file from unix and without open it from form builder and save it, I just trasfer it back to the unix box and I am able to compile it.
    Is there any other thought on this.
    Thanks

  • Form Builder (Forms 6i)  exit without message when compiling a form module

    Hi all,
    i can't resolve problem with Form Builder since 2 weeks.
    i have Forms 6i which always exit when i compile form module connecting
    to a remote database (oracle 817). There is 2 remote database server 817 in our LAN.
    However this happen only for one remote server, while the same form module connecting to another remote database (oracle 817) is well compile and work fine.
    I configure a service name with Net8 Easy Config locate on <Oracle for Windows 95>, but the problem is the same. Can anyone suggest, what could be the reason for the problem.
    Best regards.

    Hi Experts,
    We are getting the same issue. Our form builder crashes once we open our custom form
    in form builder.
    Server shows:-
    Forms 6.0 (Forms Runtime) Version 6.0.8.28.0 (Production)
    Form Builder shows:-
    Forms [32 Bit] Version 6.0.8.11.3 (Production)
    How to upgrade the form builder version?

  • Compiling fmb module in Form builder does not change the fmx file

    Hi,
    I am using Oracle Forms Builder version 10.1.2.0.2 To edit 10g2 forms.
    In the last month, it happened twice that an fmb file I edited in the forms builder did not change the fmx aftrer compilation.
    namely, when I opened the fmx file in the application, I didn't see the changes, but they were present in the fmb form opened in the Form Builder.
    Usually when we have the fmx file open in the application, the form builder won't let me compile it - showing the following error:
    FRM-30087: Unable to create form file
    When this error happens and the changes are not reflected, this error message doesn't appear even though the fmx file is open in the application.
    I tried deleting the fmx file, and then opening it in the application to see if there is another copy of it.
    The application gave an error 40010 - can't read form.
    When I recompiled the file, the fmb didn't show any changes either, even though the file was created again in the file system.
    I could not find a way to consistently reproduce this problem.
    Did you ever encounter such a problem?
    I noticed the edit -> preferences -> general menu has the option to "save befor building".
    Does it mean the Form Builder keeps a cached copy of the fmb in memory, and when this error happens it compiles the original file system fmb file rather than the cached memory copy with the changes?
    Thanks,
    Eyal Azran
    Configuration Management Engineer - Isracard

    Hey Craig,
    Thank you for your response.
    I verified the version of the forms on the Application Server and they are the same.
    This problem is quite tricky to reproduce, it happens once every few months!
    (we have about 10 developers, who are developing and testing on multiple servers - so far two of the servers showed this issue)
    I've determined that the reason this happens is that:
    1. The compiled fmx is vied in the application.
    ** for some reason, the frmweb.exe process on the server does not terminate properly **
    2. The developer compiles the form again in Form Builder
    3. The Form Builder does not detect that the form is open in the mal-terminated process
    There usually is an error message here saying the fmx module is locked - this error happens because this message is not displayed.
    I will attach an image of the process monitoring tool we use ( ProceXP ) showing the ghost process that locks the fmx module.
    <edit>oops, I guess I can't attach the image- I can e-mail it if you'd like</edit>
    If anyone has an idea for a solution, this will help immensely.
    Eyal

    Try using a script, for example:
    #UNIX Forms Compile
    #compile_forms.sh
    export FORMS_PATH=/u01/app/oracle/product/source
    export DISPLAY=localhost:2.0
    #export NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.UTF8
    export TERM=vt220
    export ORACLE_TERM=vt220
    export FORMS_BUILDER_CLASSPATH=/u01/app/oracle/product/source
    for i in `ls /u01/app/oracle/product/source/recctadj.fmb`
    do
    echo Compiling Form $i ....
    ./frmcmp_batch.sh userid=someuser/password@database batch=yes module=$i module_type=form
    compile_all=yes window_state=minimize
    done

  • Unable to compile class for JSP

    Please can anyone help me to solve this.
    Actually,this is the condition.
    In my db,there is a table called UserPassword, which has 4
    fields(empNo,UserName,password,level). Now I want to do these things:
    When the user submits the data to create a new account via HTML form, it submits the data to the file called CreateAcc.jsp. In this file it perform some logic,here are they.
    1)To check the empNo,if it is already exist in the DB,
         if empNo =exist then display error.(record already exist)
         if empNo =notexist then do task 2).
    2)check the UserName,if it is already exist in the db,
         if UserName=exist then display error.(because it's a primary key)
         if UserName=notexist then do task 3).
    3)Create a new user account and save it to the db.
    To do these tasks,I never create a new objects for the tasks 1) and 2).
    only for task 3)create an object.
    Is it the right way?
    Here is the file CreateAcc.jsp
    <%@ page language="java" %>
    <%@ page import="core.UserAccManager" %>
    <%@ page import="data.UserPassword" %>
    <jsp:useBean id="UserAccManager" class="core.UserAccManager" scope="session"/>
    <jsp:setProperty name="UserAccManager" property="*"/>
    <jsp:useBean id="UserPassword" class="data.UserPassword" scope="session"/>
    <jsp:setProperty name="UserPassword" property="*"/>
    <%
    String nextPage ="MainForm.jsp";
    if(UserPassword.verifyEmpno()){
         if(UserPassword.verifyUsername()){
              if(UserPassword.createAcc()) nextPage ="MsgAcc.jsp";
          }else{
               nextPage="UserNameExist.jsp";
          else{
              nextPage="UserAccError.jsp";
    %>
    <jsp:forward page="<%=nextPage%>"/>The directory structure:
    UserPassword.java- F:/Project/core/data/UserPassword.java
    UserAccManager.java - F:/Project/core/UserAccManager.java
    Now both are compiling.I put the class files into the TOMCAT,as follows.

    UserPassword.class - webapps/mySystemName/WEB-INF/classes/core/data/

    Then it compile well.I goto the directory to get the .class files.
    But there is only UserPassword.class inside the data folder. There is not
    UserAccManager.class in the core folder.
    Then I try this way,I put my 2 java files in to a new folder,

    Now both are compiling well.There was 2 class files.
    I put them in to the WEB-INF/classes/com directory.
    Start the server.But it gave errors:

    hi,

    Hai
    this is vas. I think you did it all may be try.
    first create a menu and generates it and save it on same folder where the form stays.(respective folder) and compile both forms and menu in screen.and go to form name properties, change it to menu module --> menu name.mnx ,now save it
    and try this
    i hope it will work
    check it and reply me back.this will work only in individual form and menu not in application
    for application u ,there is a different way
    thanks
    bye
