Hi
I have a connection details. The connection details is using SID.
When i enter the Database name, Global name, Port, host and user name details.
I am getting the following error.
ORA-12535: TNS: Operation timed out
Please suggest some solutions ASAP.
I am able to ping and tnsping the database.
Thanks and Regards,
SomaHi Soma,
I am getting the error when i try to create loaction. As I understand you got this error during testing location.
When you test location OWB tries connect to target database from server side (where OWB repository located).
In this new thread you told that there is firewall in your network
Unable to Connect to Oracle Target using SID
So I think firewall can be a cause of your problem.
Try to check connection (tnsping, sqlplus, etc.) to target database from server side.

Hi,
I'm running two Exchange 2010 servers both with HUB, CAS and Mailbox. They are setup with one DAG. I also have a load balancer. Each server has the primary network adaptar and one loopback adapter for the load balancer VIP. Everything is working OK except the fact the delivery of messages.
When I fail one of the nodes, messages will start to take almost a minute to be delivered. Messages from users on the same database, using the CAS of the still functioning server.
The message queue viewer shows:
451 4.4.0 primary target IP address responded with 421 4.4.2 unable to connect Attempte failover to alternate host, but that did not suceed. Either there are no aternate hosts or delivery failed to the all alternate host.
The message is still delivered after some time.
What can be the problem here?
After running a packet sniffer, I can see that Exchange 2010 will always try the same HT server (the other server that failed) and only after some timeout it will try the local HT. As far as I know, it should try the local server first when a mailbox and a HT share the same server. But it is not doing that. What is your Queue Glitch Retry Interval?

Hi,
Suddenly I got this error in SCVMM 2012-R2 Roll-up 1:
When working with User-Roles (create/update) or assigning a Cloud :
"VMM encountered a critical exception and created an exception report....
search user forums for well-known failure root causes for self-help" (how sweet)... (if it's "well known", why not coding the exception handling correctly?)
The relevant part of the report might be this:
"SCVMM Version=3.2.7620.0
SCVMM flavor=C-buddy-RTL-AMD64
Default Assembly Version=3.2.7620.0
Executable Name=vmmservice.exe
Executable Version=3.2.7510.0
Base Exception Target Site=140717670746840
Base Exception Assembly name=System.Data.dll
Base Exception Method Name=System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.OnError
Exception Message=Unable to connect to the VMM database because of a general database failure.
Ensure that the SQL Server is running and configured correctly, then try the operation again."
(side question: what does this mean: "Ensure that the SQL Server is ... configured correctly"?
I can say that :
SQL is configured by the book, that all services are running (did a reboot of VMM server too) and that all other VMM functions work OK. I don't believe that SQL is only used for user-roles...
Acting as Domain admin and VMM admin.
All updates are installed.
Please find the report @the and and a screen shot attached.
Thanks for any help.

Thomas.I (quite honestly) am one of those folks that generally do not read the KB articles associated with a patch or UR or SP - as you don't expect details like have been put into this particular one.
But as Kristian pointed out - within that KB article is the SQL script that modifies / updates this SQL Stored Procedure.
http://blogs.technet.com/b/scvmm/archive/2014/01/29/how-to-update-scvmm-2012-r2-to-update-rollup-1.aspx
Needless to say, the feedback was given to MSFT that folks would overlook that this SQL script needed to be run. So we are just trying to help out.

Background
1. Weblogic 10.3.6.0 running on Oracle Linux 6.5 with Oracle JRockit(R) (build R28.2.3-13-149708-1.6.0_31-20120327-1523-linux-x86_64, compiled mode)
2. Oracle Apex 4.2.1
3. Apex Listener 1.1.3
4. Apex and Apex Listener running on the Weblogic box above
5. SQL Developer 4.0.2 running on Windows 7 64 bit / Java 1.7.0_55
Updated Apex to 4.2.5 via p17966818_425_Generic.zip patchset. Apex environment running fine as do all applications via Listener 1.1.3
Updated Oracle Listener to the latest version of Oracle REST Data Services 2.0.7
Current Status
Apex Applications and RESTful services are running fine.
Problem
Unable to connect SQL Developer 4.0.2 to Oracle REST Data Services 2.0.7
Error message in SQL Developer - Cannot connect to DEV. HTTP/1.1 403 Target service not allowed
Additional Information
Steps followed -
1. The oracle users APEX_LISTENER and APEX_REST_PUBLIC_USER did not exist, so I ran apex_rest_config.sql from the APEX 2.4.1 patchset whilst connected sys as sysdba and provided the same password as APEX_PUBLIC_USER for both users.
2. I also ran
grant insert, delete on APEX_040200.wwv_flow_rt$privilege_groups to APEX_LISTENER;
alter session set current_schema = APEX_LISTENER;
create or replace synonym wwv_flow_rt$privilege_groups for APEX_040200.wwv_flow_rt$privilege_groups;
as per Oracle SQL Developer User's Guide Release 4.0
3. copied ords.war to apex.war
4. java -jar apex.war configdir /u01/app/oracle/admin/apex/devdomain1/
5. java -jar apex.war

NOTHING UNUSUAL IN ANY OF THE WEBLOGIC LOG FILES, EXCEPT THAT IT STATES
'Oracle REST Data Services version : 2.0.6.27.18.06' when I've installed 2.0.7.
Any help much appreciatedFurther to the above post, I thought I'd simplify my Apex Listener install just to see if I can connect to it via SQL Developer
So downloaded the latest version 2.0.8 and decided to configure and run the Listener on my pc whilst still connecting to the same database.
Operating system : Window 7 Pro 64 bit
Oracle Apex Listener 2.0.8
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_25-b17)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.25-b01, mixed mode)
Went through the configuration as above, once started I tried again to access the listener via SQL Developer. This time I received this output from the listener:
INFO: Error: ORA-02291: integrity constraint (APEX_040200.WWV_FLOW_RT$APPROVALS_SGID_FK) violated - parent key not found, occurred during execution of: [CALL, insert into wwv_flow_rt$approvals (user_name,status,client_id,security_group_id,created_by,created_on,updated_by,updated_on) values(/*in:user_id*/?,/*in:status*/?,/*in:client_id*/?,/*in:tenant_id*/?,upper(/*in:user_id*/?),/*in:created*/?,upper(/*in:user_id*/?),/*in:created*/?), [tenant_id, in, class java.math.BigInteger], [client_id, in, class java.math.BigInteger], [user_id, in, class java.lang.String], [status, in, class oracle.dbtools.rt.oauth.ApprovalRequest$Status], [created, in, class java.sql.Timestamp]]with values: [adminlistener, APPROVED, 3858401374580004, -1, adminlistener, 2014-06-23 12:19:18.785, adminlistener, 2014-06-23 12:19:18.785]
SQL Developer responded with an Authentication Failed titled dialog with the following displayed in the body of the dialog
Cannot connect to DEV.

Debug Remotelly WebLogic Web Service - Debugger unable to connect
I have been able to debug locally when I start debug from IntegratedWebLogicServer,
but I have not been able to debug remotelly although I deploied successfully to WebLogic Server and I got correct result while testing from SoapUI.
With the purpose to debug remotelly the simple web service described below, I have done these steps on my enviroment:
On WebLogic
1) In the WebLogic console, belong the AdminServer definition, I browsed to Protocol > HTTP Tunneling and I checked it.
2) In startWebLogic.cmd I added:
set JAVA_OPTIONS=-Xdebug -Xnoagent -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,address=4000,server=y,suspend=n %SAVE_JAVA_OPTIONS%
3) In setDomainEnv.cmd I changed to be:
set debugFlag=true
if "%debugFlag%"=="true" (
set JAVA_DEBUG=-Xdebug -Xnoagent -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,address=%DEBUG_PORT%,server=y,suspend=n -Djava.compiler=NONE
set JAVA_OPTIONS=%JAVA_OPTIONS% %enableHotswapFlag% -ea -da:com.bea... -da:javelin... -da:weblogic... -ea:com.bea.wli... -ea:com.bea.broker... -ea:com.bea.sbconsole...
After that, I restarted the weblogic.
On JDeveloper
4) In the page Project Properties > Run/Debug/Profile > Default > Edit:
I wrote the path to the HelloWorld.java on Default Run Target box.
I checked Remote Debugging
5) I right clicked the project and clicked Start Remote Debugger.
On Attach to JDPA Debugger window I wrote LocalHost on Host and 4000 on Port.
In my log window I got this message:
"Debugger attempting to connect to remote process at LocalHost 4000.
...Debugger unable to connect to remote process."
I was expecting to be able to call the web service from SoapUI and then stop on my breakpopint. What else should I do?
The only suggestion found on internet I have not done was
"In order for JDeveloper to work with WebLogic it will need a copy of the weblogic.jar file that can be found at [WLS-root]\weblogic1001\server\lib, copy this file to [jdev-root]\jdev\lib\ext directory and restart JDeveloper."
(http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/remotedebugwls-086628.html) I didn't find the path [jdev-root]\jdev\lib\ext in my computer.

Outlook is unable to connect to the proxy server.(Error Code 10)
Hi,
I had problems with RPC proxy, I was trying to setup cutover migration.
So I read somewhere that i need to change the certprincipalname with Set-Outlookprovider.
But after this change my outlook was not working anymore
The settings before the change were:
Name Server CertPrincipalName TTL
EXCH

So I set this back to the original (above) but this didn't helped...
Outlook 2013 and Exchange 2013

Outlook is unable to connect to the proxy server. (Error code 0)
Hello,
I have just commenced a Exchange 2007 SP3 to Exchange 2013 SP1 migration following the following guide: http://blogs.technet.com/b/meamcs/archive/2013/07/25/part-1-step-by-step-exchange-2007-to-2013-migration.aspx
As per the above guide, my 2007 environment is now known as legacy.company.com and my 2013, webmail.company.com.
I'm using the same certificate on both boxes and it has the names autodiscover.company.com, webmail.company.com and legacy.company.com. All that seems to be working fine.
OWA is functioning perfectly, hitting https://webmail.company.com will pass the user off to https://legacy.company.com if the mailbox is on 2007. Alongside this, Outlook also has no issues connecting to 2007 mailboxes with the client proxy settings
being reconfigured to https://legacy.company.com automatically.
My problem comes when a mailbox is migrated to 2013. OWA functions fine and presents the mailbox but Outlook is unable to connect, presenting the error:
There is a problem with the proxy server's security certificate.
The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the target site webmail.company.com.
Outlook is unable to connect to the proxy server. (Error Code 0)
If I modify the Outlook client's settings and disable "Only connect to proxy servers that have this principal name in their certificate: msstd:webmail.company.com", Outlook connects and functions fine.
I'm at a loss and have tried everything I can think and find on google. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Hi,
Please refer to the following article :
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923575
Cause:
This issue may occur if one or more of the following conditions are true:
The connection to the server requires a certification authority (CA).
You have not trusted the certification authority at the root.
The certificate may be invalid or revoked.
The certificate does not match the name of the site.
A third-party add-in is preventing access.
Solution:
To examine the certificate, follow these steps:
In Microsoft Internet Explorer, connect to the RPC server or to the secure server. For example, type
https://www.<var>server_name</var>.com/rpc in the Address bar of the Web browser, and then press ENTER.
Note The <var>server_name</var> placeholder references the RPC server name or the secure server name.
Double-click the padlock icon that is located in the lower-right corner of the Web browser.
Click the Details tab.
Note the information in the following fields:
Valid to
The Valid to field indicates the date until which the certificate is valid.
Subject
The data in the Subject field should match the site name.
Hope this helps!
Thanks.

Hi All
Exchange Server - 2013 CU2 (Windows 2012 Standard)
AD Server - 2003 R2 SP2
exchange-svr01.domain.com - internal name
mail.company.net - external name
When users opened Outlook 2010, they will encountered
"There is a problem with the proxy server's security certificate. The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the target site exchange-svr01.domain.com.
Outlook is unable to connect to the proxy server.(Error Code 10)"
I also used the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer to test RPC/HTTP connectivity.
The RPC/HTTP test completed successfully.
Validating the certificate name.
Certificate name validation failed.
Host name company.net doesn't match any name found on the server certificate CN=AMAZONA-U59HG9G.
Testing SSL mutual authentication with the RPC proxy server.
The test passed with some warnings encountered.
The certificate common name company.net doesn't match the mutual authentication string provided mail.company.net; however, a match was found in the subject alternative name extension.
please help.Hi PS CL

Users unable to connect to RDP farm. (2 session servers 1 broker)
Issue: Users are unable to connect to the farm when they use tsfarm.mydomain.com to access our servers. On the connection broker server I get lots of: This connection request has timed out. User could not log on to the end point within the
alloted time. Remote Desktop Connection Broker will stop monitoring this connection request.
On one of the session servers I get the following:
Session state for user DOMAIN\Firstname.Lastname changed to: Session Reconnected.
Target Name = SESSION2.domain.com
Farm Name = tsfarm.mydomain.com
Session ID = 8
It looks like they're getting connected, but this doesn't work either.
Server Environment
All servers are Windows 2008 R2 Datacenter SP1
Connection Broker: CONNECT1
Session Servers: SESSION1, SESSION2
External DNS has the following records:
tsfarm.mydomain.com points to external (NAT) IP for SESSION1
tsfarm.mydomain.com points to external (NAT) IP for SESSION2
User Environment
Almost all my users use Windows 7 running version 6.1 client with protocol version 7.1Hi,
Correct.
In the Remote Desktop Client, Advanced tab, Connect from anywhere, Settings, they would select Use these RD Gateway server settings, enter
rdgateway.yourdomain.com (or whatever FQDN you want to use for your RDG). Then on the General tab they would enter tsfarm.yourdomain.com in the Computer box.
On the public Internet you would create a DNS A record for rdgateway.yourdomain.com that points to the public ip address for the RDG. On your firewall you would forward TCP port 443 to the RDG server.
On your internal network you would create 2 DNS A records for tsfarm.yourdomain.com that point to your RDSH servers. Based on what you have written I believe you have already created these DNS records for your farm name.
As a side note you may consider installing RD Web Access on the same server as your RD Gateway server. That way if you want (it is not required) you could have your users log on to RD Web Access and launch a RemoteApp or a full desktop connection to
your RDSH farm.
You will need a certificate (or certificates) from a trusted public authority such as GoDaddy, GeoTrust, Thawte, VeriSign, etc. One option is to get a wildcard (*.yourdomain.com) which you may use for all RDS purposes (Broker, RDG, RDWeb,
RDSH, Digital signing). A second option would be to get multiple single-name certificates. For example, one certificate with subject rdgateway.yourdomain.com and a second certificate with subject of tsfarm.yourdomain.com.
For planning purposes keep in mind that if you have RD Gateway and RD Web on the same server they will use the same certificate. So if you were to use a single-name certificate for RD Gateway of rdgateway.yourdomain.com then your users would need to
access RDWeb using rdgateway.yourdomain.com. If you choose a wildcard you have maximum flexibility to use different names for each purpose since it is all the same certificate.

We unable to connect to livecache database
Hi All,
We have restored SCM along with Live cache successfully.
After restore we are unable to connect live cache to R3....
our source system versions are NW 2004s R2 and live cache version is 7.6.04.09
We didn't find the same version software in the SAP Market Plece... So we upgraded to higher version 7.6.06.20 and then we restore the backup successfully from the source live cache to target live cache but while initialising and activating the datebase with R3 system it is throwing error.
Error:
Can not connect to live cache database.
even we validated the passwords for the each user which are working fine.
Please give me the solution.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
KarthikHello Orkun Gedik, SAP Note No. 1015489 is for SCM systems as of SCM 5.1, so NOT relevant for this thread.
Hello Karthik,
First let me know what was done by you since I posted:
1. You are SAP customer => for the reported issue will be best for you, if you will create the SAP message and get SAP support.
2. "SAP Livecache/LivecacheApplication 5.0 SP15 " released with liveCache version 7.6.04.09, more details in the SAP Note 1154718. LC760409A5015_7-XXXXX.SAR package is available on the SAP market place for SAP customers.
3. Read the SAP note:
457425 Homogenous liveCache copy using backup/restore
If you followed this note the liveCache/LCA versions has to be the same on source and target, also the same OS platform of the liveCache servers.
4. Please review the SAP note:
886103 System Landscape Copy for SAP SCM
The LCA routine error 40,134 means "Key Figure does not exist".
If the error occurred after System Landscape Copy for SAP SCM, then let us know if you created the SCM DB backup and liveCache backup on the source system
To be restored on the target in sync or there was time gap between backups, when the TS data were changed on source system.
for the reported issue will be best for you, if you will create the SAP message and get SAP support.
