Unable to connect to Airport since 1.1.4

Since this update, I have been unable to connect to my home network. I had absolutely no problem previously.
I see the network, but after entering my password, I get a denial window. I don't have this problem at my office, only at home.
I've tried doing a complete reset.
I have Airport Extreme at home and don't have any connection problems with my 3 Macs. My head is starting to hurt!
Any suggestions out there?

Thanks for the reply. I'll have to wait until tonight when I get home to try.
I don't believe there is MAC filtering. I am using WPA2 security. It is not set to N-only as my MBP and Mini are not "N".
The only thing is to try an Airport reboot since that's the only thing that seems to apply.
I do notice that at home the IP address, Subnet Mask and others are blank. Here at the office, I have no problem and that's all filled in.

  • Unable to connect to Airport Extreme since installing Mountain Lion

Unable to connect to Airport Extreme since installing Mountain Lion. If I go to Finder > Shared I can see it listed but then when I go to connect to it won't. I can see it in Airport Utility and connect to the internet but when I try and connect to the base station to use my hard drive / printer it won't connect?
Tech Support tried saying it could be the devices attached don't have an update for them yet but doesn't explain why I can't connect to the base station. In their defence I can see it in airport utility so the base station does work with the OS X
However I've just tried connecting by an ethernet cable and connects fine?

    Ok .
Power down the base station (Mine is connected to a 4 way so i down powered base station, printer and hard drive) powered back up and now when I go to finder then look at the shared section I can view my files on the base station.
    Hope this helps

  • Unable to connect via airport all of a sudden

Unable to connect to the internet via airport all of a sudden. No changes to modem or router or network settings of macbook etc. Other devices in the house can connect just fine, but called cable support to verify and all is fine on the DSL end. Cannot download updates w/o internet connectivity. Have tried going thru the motions of setting up airport again and cannot get past the DHCP (can't remember exact letters at the moment) as my carrier is not a PPoE. Aside from reinstalling the OS to see if that will fix, does anyone else have any suggestions? Apparently this happens more often than I thought based upon other posts. Thank you!

Thank you for your help and it was a big help. I removed Norton software firewall, and firefox began to work. I thank you for your help and suggestion.

The situation is that one MacBook purchased in Jan 2010 constantly unable to connect to the Airport Extreme.
The other MacBook could connect successfully without must fuss. Even the Win7 laptops also has no issue to be connected.
Do you think the MacBook has a connectivity issue?

You might try resetting your connection settings using the steps listed in this message:

They're not guaranteed to solve the problem, but they'll only take a minute or so to try.

  • Unable to Connect to Airport - get error -6753

I installed the Airport, set up an wireless network but been unable to connect.
I tried the hard reset described in "Resetting Airport Express" guide.
When I load Airport Utility; I am asked to Rescan with receive an error -6753, no configuration displayed. Attempting to use Configure other has the same result. I am able to use the drop down file menu only, BaseStation and Settings are protected (greyed out).
I have tried to uninstall Airport & Bonjour software to no effect. I don't know my way around the configuration very well.
    Can you help.

I have a Mac and two Windows machines (and most guest machines on my network are Windows). One Windows machine is running Vista, one is running Windows 7 and have also tested with XP. None of the Windows machines will show the AirTunes speaker (Airport Express) options UNLESS my Mac is also turned on. This is totally bizarre and I cannot solve it with any settings... I've tried so many things... latest versions, etc, etc.
To recap, my Mac connects fine, all the time. No Windows machines ever show the dropdown selector in iTunes UNLESS my Mac is on the network. When it's on the network, the Windows machines work with AirTunes just fine.
    Anyone have any ideas?

  • I have been unable to connect to facebook since 2/7/2013. Firefox connects to all other websites with no problem. Im able to connect in mobile on pc.

I had been on facebook in the morning of this date. I went back to my page and things began loading slowly. I logged out and tried to reload my account and from that moment on I keep getting the "Unable to connect
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.facebook.com.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
    moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
    connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure

I have gone through and tried everything in the trouble shooting section for Firefox.
My connection is fine, I have checked the modem, router, and checked in other browsers with the same results. I am unable to contact facebook to talk to their support team.
I am able to connect on my pc, to facebook, if I type in mobile before facebook.

  • Unable to connect at airport hotspots

Over the last month, I've now been in 3 airports where I was unable to get the public wireless system to recognize my machine and give me a chance to log in. With each (Berlin, Frankfurt, and Seville), the wireless connection was strong (full bars), but when I tried to trigger the probe, it did nothing. In two of these airports (Berlin and Frankfurt) I have never had any problems before. And in those two, I have experienced this problem multiple times. My system connects regularly to a local WLAN, and I am able to connect to some public hotspots (I'm in Madrid now, for example). So I'm wondering: has there been some kind of upgrade in wireless software that is disabling Macs?
MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

Perhaps these two airports did something to their network since your last visit.
Perhaps there's a pamphlet/brochure/sign in those problem airports which you possibly overlooked.
Something else to try would be to restart the mac as you enter a new wireless network zone (I know...mac people never reboot. Try it.)
But from the three Berlin websites, there are some specifics (ranges, coverage maps).

  • Unable to connect to Airport Extreme on a daily basis without reseting the router

I have an Airport Extreme Router connected directly to my cable modem.  My Airport Utilities are current and router is set to 7.5.2 firmware (latest).  I have nine devices set to connect via wireless and three that are connected via cable.  I am not using the 5ghz as there are some older devices that will not connect.  On a daily basis all of the wireless systems will not connect.  I get a password incorrect on low signal error.  I have reset the password from over eight characters to eight to see if that was the issue.  No dice.  I have to manually unplug the router and the wait for it to reset then all the devices will connect.  The three devices I have connected directly do not have this issue.
I have deleted the network configurations from the devices and tried to reconnect but I get the same error, password incorrect or signal not found even when it shows that I have five green bars.  I have the router set to assign DHCP and changed the lease to 60 days.  Since the router does not have UPnP, I have a few ports open to allow my XBox and PS3 clear connection.  I have also reset the whole router and started it from scratch.  Rebuilding the network with a different name, password and such.
I have seen on the board that others are having issues with this.  Aside from disconnecting the power from the router I have not found a solution.  This issue started a month or so ago. Does anyone have a solution?  Is this a result of updating the firmware to 7.5.2 which came out in July?  Or is there something that I am completely missing in troubleshooting?

The router has been working for a bout a year or more.  Would it suddenly go snafu and need to be replaced?  Seems to me it would be having the issue from the start.

  • Unable to connect new airport extreme to iMAC or MacBook Pro

This must have been covered but I am unable to find a thread addressing my problem. I have just purchased a new Airport Extreme Base Station (AEBS). I updated all of my software and have tried to configure the AEBS for both my laptop and iMAC. I connect to the internet (IN) using a cable modem (Motorola SB 5101). Using the ethernet cable I can connect to the IN with both computers. I have configured the AEBS and the "light" comes up green.
Using the "diagnostics" program associated with Safari on my laptop (OS 10.5.6), all but the last 2 lights come up green. I do not know how to overcome this problem.
On the iMAC (OS 10.4.11) I get the message "Airport not configured". When I go to the Airport Utility App and scan, it tells me that a wireless device is not detected, even though the unit is adjacent to the computer. It does have an early wireless card (0x14E4,0x89) Firmware (Broadcom BCM43xx 1.0).
I hope there are better directions somewhere than what came with the unit.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Bob Timmons, thanks for the response... I will respond to your questions..
    1) Yes, I can connect to the internet by attaching the single ethernet type cable from the modem to each computer in-turn.
    2) Yes, when I connect the ethernet cable from the modem to the airport base station, I get a green light. (circle icon)
    3) I do not (as yet) have a spare ethernet cable to try the connection from the AEBS to either computer.
Making these connections work is a little like magic to me. I have an airport express at work that I successfully connected, but when it happened I was not sure what I did.
I get a little confused because there is the Airport programming software, the Diagnostics software that pops up from Safari, and Network software in Preferences. I am not sure which one is the main one to use.
In addition, I try to Connect, wirelessly in several places. Sometimes in an airport where an "automatic" IP address seems to be assigned and sometimes at work where we use static IP addresses.
    I need a map...;o)

  • WPs Device Unable to Connect to AirPort Extreme

I am having issues connecting a webcam that has a WPS button to AirPort Extreme.  Airport Extreme doesn't have a button to accept the connection and my AirPort Utility doesn't have an option to add a new client to my wireless network.  Any suggestions?WPS

Configure the printer through the wireless setup utility... I did it with HP by joining the HP setup network.. and then going to safari, bookmarks, show all bookmarks, click bonjour, then join your wireless network from there. Uninstall any software previously installed....

  • Unable to connect to TC since 7.5.2 update - network issue

    Can anyone help?!
Yesterday I updated to the latest firmware and since then have not been able to connect to my time capsule.
    Setup:
Cisco Linksys WAG320N router connected to the outside world
Cisco sits at 10.0.0.1 and assigns IP addresses via DHCP to any connecting clients on wireless
Connected via LAN is the TC, this has wireless disabled and until yesterday was working just fine, doing regular backups and print server duties
Now though I cannot receive IP via DHCP, the subnet mask is always set to 255.255.0.0 (my network is set to 255.255.255.0) and only 'receives' IP : 169.254.250.66 no idea from where
I can try to manually assign an IP within the correct range, and also set the subnet to the correct range, but nothing on the network can connect to it.
I have tried everything I can think of and have looked at multiple forums for answers but cannot get it working.
    Any help appreciated!

    This is now resolved
Answer: reset and reconfigure, this time allow it to connect wirelessly to the network (ignore ethernet connection)
another moan: called Apple support and was told that I was not eligible for telephone support. I argued why I wouldn't be as a firmware update had caused my issue. the response was: "firmware and software updates are optional"
what do you think is the first thing you are asked when you call? Yes thats right..."what firmware version are you using?" ....and if you are not using the latest you are told to go and update...... hardly optional then!!

  • Unable to connect to airport after downloading latest iTunes upgrade

Having downloaded the latest version of iTunes I am no longer able to connect it with my Airport. The error that appears on the screen is as follows - "An unknown error occurred (-3256)". Is this a common problem? What steps do i need to take to repair this?

I have the same issue. I'm using the latest firmware and even tried resetting my airport express but problem did not go away. Currently I'm streaming using Airfoil/iTunes as a workaround.

  • Unable to connect to store since upgrade

I recently upgraded to the newest I-tunes for windows. I have not been able to connect to the store or listen to any of my purchased music. I, like other people, have ran diagnostics on my router and am connected to the internet just fine. I have attempted a system restore to get back to an older version that worked fine. Is there a way to make I-tunes connect? Will I have to re-purchase my music?

    Dear Fourm,
Look at how many postings there are for the same error. thousands on google and more on here. We all have tried everything even seeking each others advice in forums. i have also never seen an answer from APPLE that will resolve the issue. i think they need to check their server settings, their product (itunes), and work directly with us to resolve the issue. if you post in the fourm then make sure you also summit feedback maybe this will let them know this is a HUGE and FUSTRATING problem. Again another wast of money. this is all in my own opinion.
