Unable to connect to the content error!
Hi Everyone,
I am have followed some of the basic steps to achieve http dynamic streaming using default config of FMS 3.5 server.
I am installed my Strobe media Playback on apache 2.2 htdocs folder and the sample html works perfect when i call it from the browser (So I suppose my serevr is set up correctly.)
I have created three different bitrate files at 500, 750 and 1000 kbps and also created their manifest files using f4f packager so now I have 12 different files ( 3 of each, f4v, f4f, f4m and f4x). I have placed these files in a folder named content on my webserver where I put my strobe folder.
And now I am calling the 1000kbps.f4m file from the html code of my webpage using this code:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

But it is giving me the error : WE ARE UNABLE TO CONNECT TO THE CONTENT YOU ARE REQUESTING.
Is there anything that I am doing wrong??
Suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ankit
In order to troubleshoot the errors, please set the "verbose" parameter to "true" in the flashvars. The error messages will get more "technical".
I suppose there's something wrong in the streaming server setup. Please re-check your steps and ensure you put your packaged files in the media location declared in the apache conf file, then check if they are accessible from your browser.
Please tell me if it worked!

"we are unable to connect to the content you've requested." I'm trying to view a DVD, but I'm getting this message on both my iMac and my MacBookAir. There are two DVD's and I'm getting the same message using either DVD on both computers. I was sent a Flash drive w/ the same video, but I am getting the same message again. One of the DVD's was a replacement, because I thought it was a DVD problem, but now I think it's a computer problem, but I have no idea what to do. It must be a setting, but I know nothing about hardware. If there is a solutiion, I need a step by step answer that I can print out and follow.
My apps are updating OK. This may be an iTunes/App Store server issue, but you can try restarting the iPad and see if that helps. You can also try quitting the app store, restart and try again,
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
In order to quit or close apps - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -
Directory import - Unable to connect to the SLD
Hi,
I'm trying to import ID data from another XI
(this one is not in the SLD landscape)
I just want to see the receiver determinations
(don't want/need this scenario to work)
anyone knows if it's possible to import such tpz file
into a totally different XI system?
when I do it I get "Unable to connect to the SLD" error
I tried changing metadata properties file
sourcesystem=
exportXiSp=
contenttype=DirectoryView
and some other but still doesn't work...
anyone ever expirience such a scenario ?
BTW
I cannot do a complete ID import as I already have scenarios in my ID - so this is not a solution
Regards,
michalI encountered the same problem.
The resolution has nothing to do with the popup error message.
I discovered that in my environment, XI DEV has its' own SLD, and XI PRD has its' own SLD.
I went into the SLD on PRD, and manually created the neccessary namespace, sw product, sw component, technical system, and business system.
Afterwards, my import of the configuration objects worked.
Good luck,

When you try to install RDS role on server 2012 R2 using standard deployment, this issue may occur (Figure 1).
“Unable to connect to the server by using Windows PowerShell remoting”.
Figure 1: Unable to connect to the server by using Windows PowerShell remoting
First of all, we need to verify the configurations as it suggested:
1. The server must be available by using Windows PowerShell remotely.
2. The server must be joined to a domain.
3. The server must be running at least Windows Server 2012 R2.
4. The currently logged on user must be a member of the local Administrators group on the server.
5. Remote Desktop Services connections must be enabled by using Group Policy.
In addition, we need to check if the “Windows Remote Management “service is running and related firewall exceptions have been created for WinRM listener.
To enabling PowerShell remoting, we can run this PowerShell command as administrator (Figure 2).
Enable-PSRemoting -Force
Figure 2: Enable PowerShell Remoting
However, if issue persists, we need to check whether it has enough memory to work.
By default, remote shell allots only 150 MB of memory. If we have IIS or SharePoint App pool, 150 MB of memory is not sufficient to perform the remoting task. Therefore, we need to increase
the memory via the PowerShell command below:
Set-Item WSMan:\localhost\Shell\MaxMemoryPerShellMB 1000
Then, you need to restart the server and the issue should be resolved.
You can get more information regarding Remote Troubleshooting by below link:
about_Remote_Troubleshooting
If you need further assistance, welcome to post your questions in the
RDS forum.
Please click to vote if the post helps you. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.i found another possible reason, this solution worked for me:
http://oyvindnilsen.com/solution-for-powershell-remoting-error-it-cannot-determine-the-content-type-of-the-http-response-from-the-destination-computer/
I tried to set up powershell remoting on a server and kept getting this error:
Enter-PSSession : Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message : The WinRM client cann
ot process the request. It cannot determine the content type of the HTTP response from the destination comput
er. The content type is absent or invalid. For more information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help to
pic.
After a bit of troubleshooting I discovered that the problem was that the authentication packets was to big (over 16k), this will cause WinRM to reject the request. The reason for authentication packets getting too big can be because the user is member of very
many security groups or in my case because of the SidHistory attribute.
The solution was to increase the MaxFieldLength and MaxRequestBytes keys in the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\HTTP\Parameters
If the keys does not exists you can create them, be sure to use the DWORD type.
I sat MaxFieldLength to DEC value 40000 and MaxRequestBytes to DEC value 32768 and rebooted the server. Problem solved. -
Possible workaround for: Launch Debugger Error "Unable to connect to the RDS server"
I do not yet have a reproducible case for this. *Sometimes* ColdFusion Builder throws the "Unable to connect to the RDS server" error, when attempting to start a debug session against a remote server. However, "RDS Dataview" and "RDS Fileview" views correctly list the servers and their related data/file, and testing RDS connection result is "Test connection was successful". The workaround is:
1. Login to the ColdFusion Administrator
2. Navigate to "Debugger Settings" page (beneath "Debugging & Logging")
3. Click on "Stop Debugger Server" -or- "Restart Debugger Server"
4. Restart ColdFusion Application Server
Notes:
a) Step #3 must be done via ColdFusion Administrator, not via ColdFusion Admin API (stopLineDebugger()|restartLineDebugger())
b) Step #4 can be done via ColdFusion Administrator -or- ColdFusion Builder
c) Note that there is a CF9 Release Note for Bug #78488: "When a server having "Windows service option" ENABLED is added as a remote server, then Start-Stop-Restart operation cannot be done on it." However, I've found that "Restarting" a remote server, that is running as a Windows service, is possible in ColdFusion Builder (at least this is so on standalone developer edition). Like Bug #78488 says, I am unable to "Stop|Start" a remote server that is running as a Windows service. I'm just mentioning all of this, due to my suggestion in "b", that CF can also be restarted via ColdFusion Builder.
It is interesting that attempts to stop|restart the debugger server, via CF Admin API, do not resolve the issue. So, it seems that the "Stop Debugger Server" and "Restart Debugger Server" buttons, in CF Admin, are doing more than calling the corresponding CF Admin API methods.
Attached is an image of the error.
Just posting all of this as an FYI, in case it helps anyone.
Thanks!,

(OH.. I'm unable to attach images at this time *DOH!* ..well, I'll try to remember to update this post w/ the image, once I see that attachments are allowed.)
I'll try to describe the error message window:
- It is 494x452 pixels
- Title of the window is "Error occurred while launching the Debugger"
- Body content of the window is as follows:
Unable to connect to the RDS server 'ServerNameHere'
Ensure that the server is currently running and that line debugging and RDS are enabled. You may also need to check your RDS connection settings in Eclipse to ensure that they are correct.
Error Message:
-1:Error connecting to JVM for debugging at localhost:5005. Could not attach to the VM at port 5005. You must specify this debugger port in the JVM settings of your application server, for example: -Xdebug -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,server=y,suspend=n,address=5005. You will also need to make sure that another debugger is not currently connected to the CF JVM at the same port (5005).

Hi,
Suddenly I got this error in SCVMM 2012-R2 Roll-up 1:
When working with User-Roles (create/update) or assigning a Cloud :
"VMM encountered a critical exception and created an exception report....
search user forums for well-known failure root causes for self-help" (how sweet)... (if it's "well known", why not coding the exception handling correctly?)
The relevant part of the report might be this:
"SCVMM Version=3.2.7620.0
SCVMM flavor=C-buddy-RTL-AMD64
Default Assembly Version=3.2.7620.0
Executable Name=vmmservice.exe
Executable Version=3.2.7510.0
Base Exception Target Site=140717670746840
Base Exception Assembly name=System.Data.dll
Base Exception Method Name=System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.OnError
Exception Message=Unable to connect to the VMM database because of a general database failure.
Ensure that the SQL Server is running and configured correctly, then try the operation again."
(side question: what does this mean: "Ensure that the SQL Server is ... configured correctly"?
I can say that :
SQL is configured by the book, that all services are running (did a reboot of VMM server too) and that all other VMM functions work OK. I don't believe that SQL is only used for user-roles...
Acting as Domain admin and VMM admin.
All updates are installed.
Please find the report @the and and a screen shot attached.
Thanks for any help.

Thomas.I (quite honestly) am one of those folks that generally do not read the KB articles associated with a patch or UR or SP - as you don't expect details like have been put into this particular one.
But as Kristian pointed out - within that KB article is the SQL script that modifies / updates this SQL Stored Procedure.
http://blogs.technet.com/b/scvmm/archive/2014/01/29/how-to-update-scvmm-2012-r2-to-update-rollup-1.aspx
Needless to say, the feedback was given to MSFT that folks would overlook that this SQL script needed to be run. So we are just trying to help out.

This device does not have a sim card in it. Could this be the reason or am I missing something when I am trying to update.
Yes. You can't update or restore any GSM iPhone without a valid sim card installed in the phone. The sim card need not be activated, but it must be valid & present. If you want to update, you need to get a sim card. -
HP Device Toolbox software Error Unable to connect to the printer
Hi guys,
I'm currently in bit of a nightmare with my HP Laserjet 100 color MFP M175nw.
Basically I have upgraded to a new wireless router and since doing this my HP Laser Jet refuses to work / connect to the wireless network.
I have literally tried just about evey thing I can to get it to work, thoroughly through the manual, uninstalled and reinstalled the software about 12 times, tried firewalls on and off, tried security on the router on and off, tried WPS mode, tried manually entering in the IP address into the printer all without luck. You can see my dedicated thread here
http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Networking-and-Wireless/HP-LaserJet-Pro-100-color-MFP-M175nw-un...
So currently I have the printer connect to the computer via USB and it works, so I decided to try using the HP Device toolbox software to see if it would give me any more options to try and when I run this software I get
Error: Unable to connect to the printer, make sure your printer is properly connected and powered on and then try to open the HP device toolbox again. Arg!!!
My new router is a Billion 7800DXL, my old router which worked in wireless mode was also a Billion 7300g.
Any help would be great really stuck hereHello tf22raptor.
I see that you're now experiencing an issue getting the Device Tool box to run. I will try and assist with this.
After reviewing this post and the other thread, I have a few things you can try.
1) Run MS Fix it utility to uninstall the software: Fix problems that programs cannot be installed or uninstalled.
(This is to make sure the software is completely removed and conflicts in the registry get resolved)
2)Msconfig: press windows key and R on the keyboard> in run box type "msconfig"> on window select "services tab"> check box next to "hide all MS services> press disable all> go to "startup" tab> press disable all> press apply and ok at the bottom> this should prompt a PC restart.
Please restart.
3) Re-install via USB
4) Try running the device toolbox now
5)If still having issues installing wireless, you may have to contact the router manufacture.
I hope this helps you out. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums.

Hi brothers,
After installed the Moss 2007(basic) , I find some error in event view. The event ID is "6102". More detail information is shown below.
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Office SharePoint Server
Event Category: Launcher Service Event ID: 6102Date: 11/27/2007Time: 8:22:17 AMUser: N/AComputer: MOSS-001Description:LoadBalancer.RegisterLauncher failed: Unable to connect to the remote server For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
Please help me, thanks.Hi,
i think this has to do with the "Document Conversions Load Balancer Service".
If you don't need the service than try to stop it:
Start Central Administration > Operations > Services and stop the service.
or
If you need it the service, try this:
Start Central Administration > Operations > Service Account
Change the service account to "Document Conversions Load Balancer Service" And Select a "Network Services" Click Save
Hope this helps!

I have windows 7 and Itunes 10. I the the error of Unable to connect to the CDDB server when I try to get tune names. I can still connect to iTunes store and I can still summit track names to the CDDB server. I just cant recive the names from the CD's. I read this problem on the community and I've checked that the proxy server from Lan is unchecked. I use a verizon wireless card for my internet if that matters.
Perhaps try the iTunes Store loads partially or returns "Error 306" or "Error 10054" section in the Specific Conditions and Alert Messages: (Mac OS X / Windows) section of the following document:

I am unable to connect with the iTunes store. ITunes keeps "accessing", but that can go on for an hour. No error messages. It just never connects. How can I overcome this?
The question for me becomes what motivation do I (Apple's customer) have to download Autoruns from Windows, open a compressed folder, try to determine which Winsock Provider is mine, check for updates and then run whatever it is I need to run to fix this. All these steps just so I can access the Itunes Store and buy from Apple. It would seem that Apple would find a fix on their side so their customers don't have to do this. Is anyone from Apple listening???

Hi all,
From time to time (at least once a day), the following message pops up on the user's screen:
"There is a problem with the proxy server's security certificate. Outlook is unable to connect to the proxy server . Error Code 80000000)."
If we click "OK" it goes away and everything continues to work although sometimes Outlook disconnects. It is quite annoying...
Any ideas?
Thank you in advanceHi,
For the security alert issue, I'd like to recommend you check the name in the alert windows, and confirm if the name is in your certificate.
Additionally, to narrow down the cause, when the Outlook client cannot connect again, I recommand you firstly check the connectivity by using Test E-mail AutoConfiguration. For more information, you can refe to the following article:

I also deleted the cookies an cache. Nothing seems to be working so far. I have the lastest version of Firefox 8.0.1 as well as Roboform 7. I noticed that the latest Firefox version has (x86) tagged to it. Does it refers to an 86 bits because my computer uses 32 or 64 bits only. My computer is a windows 8.1; 64 bit operating system. I am stationed in South Korea, but that should not affect the program. Help please.
JohnHi johnd83157268,
Sorry for the inconvenience that has caused to you.
Could you please let me know what changes have you made in the registry.
You might need to uninstall Adobe Reader from Control Panel and try install it again from the following link:
Adobe Reader Install for all versions
Please ensure that you are logged in as administrator and anti-virus is disabled as that might interrupt installation.
Try again and then let me know.
