Unable to create a simple test client. Got ConfigException: JBO--33001
I am trying to create a simple test client as per ADF training manual. Have just created an empty AM. The test client is giving this error at runtime.
The test client looks like:
public static void main(String args[])
String amDef = "test.TestModule";
String config = "TestModuleLocal";
ApplicationModule am =
Configuration.createRootApplicationModule(amDef, config);
// Work with your appmodule and view object here
Configuration.releaseRootApplicationModule(am, true);
Getting the following error
Exception in thread "main" oracle.jbo.ConfigException: JBO-33001: Cannot find the configuration file /test/common/bc4j.xcfg in the classpath

at amit.bc4j.TestClient.main(TestClient.java:18)
Process exited with exit code 1.
I have added JAXB and Applications Core libraries to the default library list.
(added JaxB because of http://myforums.oracle.com/jive3/thread.jspa?messageID=3425268
and Unable to create a simple test client. Error JAXBException
I have checked that /home/aagupta/jdevhome/home/aagupta/jdevhome/FusionJdev/mywork/Test2/TestProj/classes/amit/bc4j/common/bc4j.xcfg file exists.
I even tried to add this directory using Add lib/directory pane, but no help.
Please suggest what to do...
Thanks,
Amit
Got it....i paid the price of not understanding the error messages and expecting bc4jclient and ctrl+enter is a magic wand :)
Thanks to Steinmeier,Oliver http://myforums.oracle.com/jive3/thread.jspa?messageID=3408700
The shortcut only generates sample code. We need to substitute the actual AM location.
public static void main(String args[])
String amDef = "amit.bc4j.model.TestAM";
String config = "TestAMLocal";
ApplicationModule am =
Configuration.createRootApplicationModule(amDef, config);
System.out.println("Read the messages!");
// Work with your appmodule and view object here
Configuration.releaseRootApplicationModule(am, true);
}

Unable to create a simple test client. Error JAXBException
Resending.....
Hi,
I am using fusiondrop3 version of JDeveloper, accessed from the fvwm_linux_session_fusion
I am getting this error when trying to run a test client.
Created a simple AM, VO and EO.
I am able to see the data by running the AM Tester.
I tried to create a test client that tries to find the number of rows fetched, as follows
TestClient testClient = new TestClient();
String amDef = "oracle.bc4j.GrouperAM";
String config = "GrouperAMLocal";
System.out.println("start");
ApplicationModule am =
Configuration.createRootApplicationModule(amDef,config);
ViewObject vo = am.findViewObject("ReqLines1");
// Work with your appmodule and view object here
vo.executeQuery();
System.out.println("Found "+vo.getFetchedRowCount()+" rows.");
Configuration.releaseRootApplicationModule(am,true);
I am getting the following error

As I am able to run the AM tester successfully, the basic libraries required should be in place. Still, I would like to mention that I have added Application Core in the libraries.
Let me know how to solve this issue, and any other information required.
Thanks

Creating a simple java client for a session EJB local interface
Hi all
Is it possible to create a simple java client for a session ejb local interface with JDeveloper.
The problem is that it creates a test client for a remote interface only...
i.e.
MySessionEJB sessionEJB = context.lookup("MySessionEJB")
and once i try to adjust it manually for the local interface...
MySessionEJBLocal sessionEJB = (MySessionEJBLocal) context.lookup("MySessionEJBLocal") (MySessionEJBLocal - is the name of my local interface)
it generates the exception:
javax.naming.NotFoundException: SessionEJBLocal not found
at...........................(RMIClientContext.java:52)
There is still no problem with accessing the local interface object from the jsf project where i've added <ejb-local-ref> tag into the web.xml file.
but i need the possibility of testing the simple java client for the local interface to test business methods wich should return objects without indirect properties
Thanks in advance.
Alex.Pedja thanks for reply.
I still dont understand what is wrong with my example.
The first peace of the code i wrote (getting the reference to the remote interface object) works pretty well, and even more it is produced automatically by JDeveloper, so why we cant get a reference to the local interface object the same way?
Certanly we should use the local interface for getting access to the resource functioning under the same local jvm and i think it doesnt metter wich app server we really use wls or oas or others
Thanks. Alex. -
Noobie: unable to compile a simple test
Hello all,
I'm unable to compile a simple test to connect to the database, here is the env data:
OS: windowsXP (32bit).
compiler/linker: mingw.
IDE: codeblocks.
the program is:
#include <iostream>
#include <algorithm>
#include <occi.h>
using namespace oracle::occi;
using namespace std;
class occicoll
private:
Environment *env;
Connection *conn;
Statement *stmt;
string tableName;
string typeName;
public:
occicoll (string user, string passwd, string db)
env = Environment::createEnvironment (Environment::OBJECT);
conn = env->createConnection (user, passwd, db);
~occicoll ()
env->terminateConnection (conn);
Environment::terminateEnvironment (env);
int main()
return 0;
and I get this compiler errors:

GalHi,
OS: windowsXP (32bit).
compiler/linker: mingw.
On Windows the only supported environment is Visual Studio / cl.exe (the Microsoft compiler).

I am trying to create a simple LOV, but I keep getting the 'LOV query is invalid, a display and a return value are needed, the column names need to be different' error.
This is my query:
SELECT evaluation d, evaluation r
FROM GRT_PRJ_EVALUATIONS
WHERE prj_seq = :P1152_prj_id
ORDER BY 1;
I have a similar LOV that only selects the same single column, and it creates just fine:
SELECT rgn_code d, rgn_code r
FROM GRT_REGION
WHERE upper(rgn_code) NOT IN ('HQ', 'PB', 'XX')
ORDER BY 1;
Can you please advise as to what the problem is with the first query?
Many thanks,
LauraThank you all very much for these helpful ideas. I have tried them all but was not able to create my lov. I finally changed my lov to return a different column than what was displayed and it allowed me to create it. I've created many lovs that display/return the same column without any problems, but this time there was just something about it that it didnt like. Thank you very much though for your help. ~ Laura

Hi,
It depends upon your client program. You can use a java rmi based client or a web application. The good kick start to the problem would be to have a look into the java pet store example and converter example which is using RMI port for client access as well as web based access. Please review the examples shipped along with iAS and I'm sure that you will have a good idea on going about the coding.

Microsoft Partner Subscription - Unable to create Win7 or 8 client VM
I'm currently commissioning multiple environments in Azure using our company's Microsoft Partner Network subscription
However, I'm unable to spin up any Windows 8 or Windows 7 VMs - there is no option to select these types of machine in the VM gallery - why is this??I'm sorry but I don't understand
I want to run one, or two instances of Windows 8 Azure VMs within our Microsoft Partner Network account so I am able to demo our system to customers
I am unable to select Windows 8 as VM type when I am logged into Azure using credentials which are linked to our Microsoft Partner Network account.
I have an MSDN subscription which shares the same Live account that I am using to log into Azure under the Microsoft Partner Network subscription. The MSDN account is given to me by my company, through the Microsoft Partner Network agreement.
Why can I not use my MSDN account with my company's Microsoft Partner Network subscription? -
Unable to create IDOCs after client copy
I'm unable to create IDOCs after a client copy. I receive a SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC or insert of duplicate rows ABAP dump.
Does anyone know what how to fix this. Thank you in advance.
Runtime Error SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC
Except. CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
Date and Time 22.10.2007 16:50:51
ShrtText
The ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert results in duplicate database records.
What happened?
Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "SAPLEDI1" had to be terminated because one of the
statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
What can you do?
Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
date.
is especially useful if you want to keep a particular message.
Error analysis
An exception occurred. This exception is dealt with in more detail below
. The exception, which is assigned to the class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB', was
neither
caught nor passed along using a RAISING clause, in the procedure
"F09_IDOC_INSERT_WITH_NUMBER" "(FORM)"
Since the caller of the procedure could not have expected this exception
to occur, the running program was terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
If you use an ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert to insert a record in
the database and that record already exists with the same key,
this results in a termination.
(With an ABAP/4 Open SQL single record insert in the same error
situation, processing does not terminate, but SY-SUBRC is set to 4.)
How to correct the error
Use an ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert only if you are sure that none of
the records passed already exists in the database.
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
use the following search criteria:
"SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC" CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DBC
"SAPLEDI1" or "LEDI1F09"
"F09_IDOC_INSERT_WITH_NUMBER"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and you wish to send
an error message to SAP, include the following documents:
1. A printout of the problem description (short dump)
To obtain this, select in the current display "System->List->
Save->Local File (unconverted)".
2. A suitable printout of the system log
To obtain this, call the system log through transaction SM21.
Limit the time interval to 10 minutes before and 5 minutes
after the short dump. In the display, then select the function
"System->List->Save->Local File (unconverted)".
3. If the programs are your own programs or modified SAP programs,
supply the source code.
To do this, select the Editor function "Further Utilities->
Upload/Download->Download".
4. Details regarding the conditions under which the error occurred
or which actions and input led to the error.
The exception must either be prevented, caught within the procedure
"F09_IDOC_INSERT_WITH_NUMBER"
"(FORM)", or declared in the procedure's RAISING clause.
To prevent the exception, note the following:

Test client pinned to single node in production
WL 6.1 sp2, Solaris 2.8
Currently we have a bunch of SLSBs deployed in cluster out in production and
a web tier that usually gets and invokes a single SLSB, and they're running
happily. But everyone once in a while, we get an asymmetrical exception,
where one node in the cluster is giving us bad results. What I like to do
is write some simple test clients that can pin to a particular node and
diagnose just that node while the regular client (web tier) still
round-robins in production.
Our SLSBs do not have <stateless-clustering> elemements at all in
weblogic-ejb-jar.xml, so <stateless-bean-is-clusterable> defaults to true.
My understanding is this means WL will round robin at 3 different levels:
jndi Context, EJBHome and EJBObject, unless server-client is co-located in
which WL will always pick the local object.
What I have tried to do is to write the test client with a single url in
PROVIDER_URL
and PIN_TO_PRIMARY_SERVER set to true in InitialContext construction. This
does not seem to work; by the time I get the EJBHome, create the EJBObject
and invoke a test method, I see round-robin occuring. I can understand a
reason FOR this behavior, and a counter-argument AGAINST this behavior. The
reason why WL is still round-robining is because only the Context is pinned
to the primary server; subsequent EJBHome and EJBObject are cluster-aware,
and hence will round-robin, which in fact it is doing. But then the reason
against this observation is that once I retrieve InitialContext, the
subsequent EJBHome and EJBObject are all available locally. So shouldn't WL
do co-location optimization and hence never round-robin???
Here are some alternative framework I've thought up so I can write a test
client that pins to a specific ejb server:
1) Create a second set of DD's in weblogic-ejb-jar.xml, this time setting
stateless-bean-is-clusterable to false, and have the test client us this for
pinning.
2) Expose a co-located servlet that will accept ejb invocation (via SOAP or
customized RPC). Servlet invocation will always be ip-specific, and
hopefully co-location of web and ejb tier will
Problem with #1 is 2 sets of DD's, hence 2 sets of EJBHomes/Objects that
behave slightly differently.
Problem with #2 is the complexity of a new web tier just for pinning, which
then also means the test client doesn't exactly replicate my actual web
client calls.
Is there a simple solution to isolate and diagnose a single node in a
production cluster? Am I missing something? Much appreciated!

Create a simple quiz for Muse?
I've discovered how to create a simple quiz with Flash and import this into Muse. It works well enough, although I need to recolour the stage (background) of .swf when on my Muse page.
The quiz has multiple choice radio button, a timer, a running and final total. Works fine as an interactive Flash file, put I know it will have limitations.
If I want to create an alternate layout for tablet, I suppose the .swf won't play in iOS. I've used the CreateJS toolbox within Flash, but the result when Published (in Flash) plays in the browser immediately from the first to last frame, even though there is a stop on frame 1. Also, I wouldn't know how to import this code into Muse. I've tried opening the .js file in Dreamweaver and copying and pasting the code into Muse, but this just copies the text and has no functionality.
I've also considered Adobe Captivate as a means to creating a simple e-Learning site.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, JerryHey Jerry,
Adobe Captivate isn't offered on the current version cloud (I hope it will be soon though)
I am also searching for a way to make a quiz and place it on a muse website.
I am thinking about using the form functionality to create a simple test. Also maybe creating a something in edge.

App Module Tester - JBO-33001: Cannot find the configuration file
I have a custom main function for my application module. Launching the tester is fine
launchTester("a.b.c.user_mnt.datamodel", "user_mntServiceLocal" );but if I comment out that line and add custom code:
String amDef = "a.b.c.user_mnt.datamodel";
String config = "user_mntServiceLocal";
ApplicationModule am = Configuration.createRootApplicationModule(amDef,config);I get the following error:
Diagnostics: (BC4J Bootstrap) Routing diagnostics to standard output

/a/b/c/user_mnt/common/bc4j.xcfg in the classpathBut the bc4j.xcfg exists in
/a/b/c/user_mnt/datamodel/common/bc4j.xcfgIs there a way to change where Jdev is looking for that file?
Thank you,
BrianCompletely new workspace doesn't fix the problem.
If I move the common folder to where jdev is looking it runs fine (I get a runtime error, but it runs none-the-less).
Any help?
