Unable to create IPv4 Interface entries on SG300-20 switch

This is a brand new switch, set to L3 mode, and I am connected to port 5. By default, all ports have VLAN1 (management) set as their PVID and are set to trunk mode. I can connect without issue, and nothing else is connected to the switch.
I have performed a master reset (both via the web interface and by holding the reset button for 20 seconds) several times, and anytime I try to assign an IP to a VLAN on the page located at IP Configuration > IP Management and Interfaces > IPv4 Interface, I lose connectivity to the switch and it must be reset.
I make no changes to VLAN1 (management) or the port I am connected to, but the issue persists. Is my switch bad? Thanks in advance.

What is happening is, your switch has several types of IP addresses,
--static IP (you set this)
--dhcp (a server or router sets this)
--default (if neither of the other is set) 192.168.1.254.
If the sg300 or 500 device has the default IP and you add another IP interface ( on a vlan or on a port) it will determine that static or dhcp interface is the management interface and the 'default' address will not work any more.
The workaround for this is:
When you are configuring layer 3 routing on a sg300 or 500 switch, once the switch is in l3 mode You need to:
1- give each vlan interface a static IP starting with vlan1. This can be the same as the default 192.168.1.254, but I recommend picking another address in case you decide to add another switch in the future.
2- Before setting an IP on the new vlan, assign an access port to the new vlan (so you can move your workstation to that vlan) for management if needed. vlan management --> port vlan membership. Once you assign the ip address, and your management interface goes away, move your pc to the port on the new vlan, give it a static, and reconnect to the new IP address.
3- use the console cable and CLI to configure the vlan interface, as the console port does not go down, or loose connectivity when configuring vlans.

I looked the error number up and it says:
OAMAP-60516: Unable to create the AccessGate entry for identity assertion/authentication.

This seems to indication my identity assertion is incorrect. My oam authentication provider is pretty simple.
I am using OPEN transport security so the provider config is pretty simple. I provided an AccessGate pwd, primary and secondary access gate servers and Access Gate name provided by my administrator.
I'm not sure about what the Application Domain field refers to. Can someone provide guidance on that?

Creating new cluster - Unable to create the cluster entry

I'm trying to create cluster in a newly installed iAS 6.0 SP2. I fill

I am unable to create a new entry on the calendar menu, in other words there is no (+) at the bottom right corner of the calendar menu, please help?

Try going into Settings > iCloud and toggle Calendars 'off' and 'on' and see if you then get the '+'

"default interface" equivalent for SG300/500 switches?

Can anyone tell me if there is an equivalent CLI command to reset an interface configuration to default?
In IOS it is "default interface <interface>" which removes all configuration from that switch port. I don't seem to be able to find the same in the SG series CLI.

Hello Rob,
There isn't an equivalent command on the SG series switches, but I will be bringing it up as a feature request, because it would be quite useful.
Until then the only way to reset a port would be to use all of the no versions of the commands, which I know can be a bit of a pain.

Unable to create database entry in the directory service. - TNS-04

We run into this error when we tried to register an Oracle 10.2.0.4 database with OID server (10.1.4.3):

We use Oracle DBCA to register to the OID. Both Oracle database and OID server are all running under Sun Solaris environment.
In the meantime, I found these errors in the oid logs:

Unable to create ReceiverDetermination as i cannot view Abstarct Interface

I have one current setup of XI Object with BPM, sending the data to three customers.
now i have added one more tranformation and send step in BPM to send to one more customer.
I have created all like MI, IM and abstract interface.
In ID i have created sender and reciver agreement.
When i tried to create receiver determination i am unable to find abstract interface for sender service.
I have activated all the objects in IR.
Do i need to reimport the integration process(BPM) in ID as i have added one more step in BPM.
Even i have checked in Integration process in ID in that i could not find abstract interface for which i have developed.
Can i assign abstract interface in Integration process in ID itself if yes where?
or do i need to reimport the integration process.

i think i have to reimport the BPM so that i can view the abstarct interfaces i have created.
yes a BPM has to be re-imported into ID each and everytime a change has been made to it in IR/ESR
Also after a change has been made make sure to check the Return code of BPM (in SXI_CACHE)...it should be 0.

I modified the ULS-logging to include verbose entries. The problem is correlated to Excel Services, which are functioning quite well on our side. Our Topology consists of an application server, 2 WFE and an office app server. We are using the BI features
of PowerPivot via an additional BI-SQL-server in SharePoint-mode.

Unable to create Entries in the Z Table -- Make entry in the form 9,999.999

I have created/Copied a standard table to a z Table with 5 fields.
One of the Field should be capbale to hold AAAAA.DDDDDDDDDDDDDD. (ie 5 Place before point and 14 decimal places).
So I have created Domain DEC with 14 decimal places and 19 No Characters.
When I tried creating an Table Entry(REcord), System rejects the value present in this field wth the following
message "Entry 12345.000000 is to long. (Make entry in the form 9,999.99999 or /9,999.99999.)".
One more thing: I have maintained the DEcimal Notation as 1,234,567.89 in the User Defaults(TCode SU01).

So as you said the notaion comma is also included in the count of places.
so try giving as1,234.00000 - shouldn't give error.
if no error then increas the total no. of character in domain to 20 and check giving value 12,345.000000...

I think the error is occurring because a database item within the formula has returned no row, contrary to its 'NOTFOUND_ALLOWED' flag.
Depending on the nature of the database item, there could be a variety of reasons for that, but one possibility is that it is relying on the presence of a session date in order for the DB item value to be found. So, if prior to calling the api, you create (or update) a row in fnd_sessions for your session with the effective date set to the effective date input parameter value, you might get some success.

Unable to create entry under Product Specific Transportation Lane by BAPI Function Module

I am developing one RFC function module which will trigger BAPI_TRLSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI2 to create transportation lane (/n/SAPAPO/SCC_TL1) in APO. But I am facing one problem while creating a new entry under “Product Specific Transportation Lane”. But I am not able to pass ‘Group Selection’ radio button field in BAPI11201TRPRODLANE2 structure since I am not getting suitable field, but Product Group Type and Product Group value I am able to pass. Can anyone help me if you have any idea on this?

Thaks for those function modules. I tried with '/SAPAPO/TR_TRPRODM_PUT'. This deletes from table /SAPAPO/TRPRODM but not from /SAPAPO/TRM and so the means of transport still appears in the transaction. Do you have any idea why it behaves this way.

Unable to create temporary backing file

My program is throwing out the error:
temporary open: /var/tmp/BDB20825: Too many open files
unable to create temporary backing file
This happens after my program has been running for about 4 hours. The program appears to run out of file descriptors. The listing of /proc/<PID>/fd shows hundreds of lines naming the same file (/var/tmp/BDB20825), like this:

That file does not exist. I suspect that someone is deleting but failing to close the file. A few open file descriptors with this deleted file occur slowly in the early hours, but not at a fast enough rate to bring the program down when it does. It looks like there is a sudden flood at the end.
The program repeats this error slowly, and is stuck inside the db code. Here is the gdb backtrace I am seeing every time I interrupt:

At this time, the program is trying to extract fields out of an XmlDocument that is the result of a query. The program uses a pre-calculated XmlQueryExpression to extract a specific field. This may not be the best way to extract a field from a document, given the apparent overhead of needing a temporary file!
My program queries two database files (OD.dbxml and FD.dbxml.new), and uses the information to add records to the second file. The databases are rather big:

Red Hat Enterprise Linux Client release 5.3 (Tikanga) 32 bit.
Berkeley DB XML 2.4.16, C++ interface.
Disk space should not be an issue:

I ran this program about a year ago and did not see this issue. I have made a few changes and linked to the newer version of the XML database since then. Any help is appreciated.

I have more information about this problem.
If I "disable" the routine __os_zerofill() in os_fzero.c, by having it always return (0), I no longer get an exception and my application appears to run smoothly. However, I have not determined what in this routine leads to the exception. And, I have no idea what the short and long term consequences of "disabling" this routine will be....
