Unable to create Policy Definitions in CM 4.1.1c

I'm trying to create a Policy Definition and assign it to an Application I created, but I when I click Submit an error pops up stating:
Transaction not completed. Policy entry cannot be updated as there is no policy entry of type Other. Please create a policy of type Other or update the type of this policy to Other.
I want this Policy to be type Basic, not Other, and there is a type Other - which I'm not choosing. So why is this error popping up? I first tried this using version 4.1.1d, but it failed so I downgraded to 4.1.1c and it still fails.
I've attached a Word document with a few screen shots showing the error, and the fact that there is a type Other, even though I don't want to use it.
Am I doing this wrong or have I stumbled on a bug?

Hello,
Read "Create Download Page for Embedded PL/SQL Gateway" section in following documentation.
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14373_01/appdev.32/e13363/up_dn_files.htm#CIHDDJGF
<li> The first option is to modify the PL/SQL function WWV_FLOW_EPG_INCLUDE_MOD_LOCAL to include the PL/SQL download_my_file procedure and then recompile
<li> The second, described below, is to create a page in the application that has a before header branch to the PL/SQL download_my_file procedure. You then create a hidden item on that page for the document ID of the document to be downloaded.
I like and have used second option because, you can re-use apex specific features like Authorization schemes etc.
Please note that if you want to invoke custom procedures via URL, then you should allow them at web-server level. Above documentation explains this for EPG.

Hari

    If i am using 11G andrtp is 11g but on rtp side if they configure SSL, is it mandatory to do it from our side also?No it not mandatory to enable SSL at your end however you have to configure identity and trsut at your end.
    Any update on my regular question(The main forum question)?You mentioned that you are posting message from 10g to 11g and as per log you are sending it to URL - https://dev-nog.server:443/b2b/transportServlet
    So few things which I see as a problem are-
    1. You should use URL https://hostname:soa_server_ssl_port/b2b/httpReceiver instead of https://dev-nog.server:443/b2b/transportServlet
    2. SOA server SSL port should be enabled (SSL should be enabled on SOA server)
    3. You should configure wallet at 10g side to contain trust cert of 11g server

    You are running into database errors. You should refer to the database documentation on how to adjust the size your tablespaces. The online Designer installation guide will advise you as to the sizes of tablespaces you require. • Unable to create cluster, hangs on forming cluster

    Hi all,
    I am trying to create a 2 node cluster on two x64 Windows Server 2008 Enterprise edition servers. I am running the setup from the failover cluster MMC and it seems to run ok right up to the point where the snap-in says creating cluster. Then it seems to hang on "forming cluster" and a message pops up saying "The operation is taking longer than expected". A counter comes up and when it hits 2 minutes the wizard cancels and another message comes up "Unable to sucessfully cleanup".
    The validation runs successfully before I start trying to create the cluster. The hardware involved is a HP EVA 6000, two Dell 2950's
    I have included the report generated by the create cluster wizard below and the error from the event log on one of the machines (the error is the same on both machines).
    Is there anything I can do to give me a better indication of what is happening, so I can resolve this issue or does anyone have any suggestions for me?
    Thanks in advance.

    I am having the exact same issue... but these are on freshly created virtual machines... no group policy or anything...
    I am 100% unable to create a Virtual Windows server 2012 failover cluster using two virtual fiber channel adapters to connect to the shared storage.
    I've tried using GUI and powershell, I've tried adding all available storage, or not adding it, I've tried renaming the server and changing all the IP addresses....
    To reproduce:
    1. Create two identical Server 2012 virtual machines
    (My Config: 4 CPU's, 4gb-8gb dynamic memory, 40gb HDD, two network cards (one for private, one for mgmt), two fiber cards to connect one to each vsan.)
    2. Update both VM's to current windows updates
    3. Add Failover Clustering role, Reboot, and try to create cluster.
    Cluster passed all validation tests perfectly, but then it gets to "forming cluster" and times out =/

  • Unable to create a connection for Discussion Forums.

    Hi,
    I have my WC_Spaces and WC_Colloboration Servers running actively. When I try to create a new connection by right-clicking Connections in Applications Resources and choose Discussion Forums and too I entered the URL and admin fields, I find its unable to create a new connection. The error displayed is : "Failed to verify connection". Please help me with this.
    Regards,
    Dinesh Vishnu Kumar

    Hi,
    In your webcenter application you have created the discussion forum connection and you have connections.xml file in your application.Open the connections.xml in jdeveloper and check the discussion forum connection entry.
    For example here I have written down my entry on forum connection-
    <Reference name="Discussion Forum Connection" className="oracle.adf.mbean.share.connection.webcenter.forum.ForumConnection" xmlns="">
    <Factory className="oracle.adf.mbean.share.connection.webcenter.forum.ForumConnectionFactory"/>
    <RefAddresses>
    <StringRefAddr addrType="forum.url">
    <Contents>http://localhost:8890/owc_discussions</Contents>
    </StringRefAddr>
    <StringRefAddr addrType="admin.user">
    <Contents>weblogic</Contents>
    </StringRefAddr>
    <StringRefAddr addrType="connection.time.out">
    <Contents/>
    </StringRefAddr>
    <StringRefAddr addrType="policy.uri.for.auth.access">

    </StringRefAddr>
    <StringRefAddr addrType="policy.uri.for.public.access">
    <Contents/>
    </StringRefAddr>
    <StringRefAddr addrType="recipient.key.alias">

    </StringRefAddr>
    <StringRefAddr addrType="adapter.name">
    <Contents>Jive</Contents>
    </StringRefAddr>
    </RefAddresses>
    </Reference>
    Change the required entries with your values(for serveraddress,port and admin user).
    One more thing need to consider that is -
    in jdeveloper proxy ,add the server address in exception list and restart the jdeveloper.
    Sometimes it will show you up as "failed to verify the connection". But it will work atleast functionality-wise it will work.
    Apart from this,I have a query on "Have you used any VPN connection to connect collaboration server to create forum connection?"
    Hope it works for you.

  • Unable to create a subtask within a task for cProjects

    Hi All,
    I am unable to create a subtask within a task using BAPI_BUS2175_CREATE. When I pass the GUID of the project definition and fill the corresponding task structures to the BAPI, a task gets created at the phase level. But when I pass the GUID of the task along with the task
    information, subtask does not get created. The BAPI returns the following error message:
    DPR_SHARED 051: You cannot create Task for (Task Name).
    Steps for recreating the error message are:
    1. GUID is found out using function module CONVERSION_EXIT_DPRCE_INPUT.
    2. GUID and task information is passed to BAPI_BUS2175_CREATE.
    3. Task is created if project definition GUID is passed, but if task GUID is passed, there is no subtask created. An error message is displayed:
    DPR_SHARED 051: You cannot create Task for (Task Name).
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Unable to Create a Dataset

    Hello!
    I am unable to create a dataset (type dataset) for a report in Visual Studio 2012. My Type dataset is a Stored Procedure. This same report with same Proc was developed successfully using a report builder. What do I do to make it work using SSRS?
    Thanks for your help.
    Zionlite

    Hi Zionlite,
    If we want to create a dataset for a report with Report Designer (or SQL Server Data Tools), we should first create a report server project where we will save our report definition (.rdl) file and any other resource files that we need for our report. Then
    we need to define a Data Source, which is connection information the report uses to access data from either a relational database, multidimensional database, or other resource. Only in this way can we create a Dataset with Stored Procedure.
    For more detail about create a report in Report Designer, we can refer to the following document:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms167305.aspx
    If there are any misunderstanding, please elaborate the issue for further investigation.

    Hi Hareesha,
    As Sreedhar has rightly said the issue is definitely with the correctness of the data.
    Check the assignment of WBS to the proper business area which you are using to create the shopping cart.Check your org. structure and attributes and their assignments once again.
    Neverthless some OSS notes for your reference if in case you can not able to make P.Os or the SC's / P.Os are not getting transfered to back end R/3.

    <b>Note 1000184 - Account assignment error when document transfer to back end</b>
    Even after validating the data if the problem still persists please explain it clearly with the errors for further help.

    I could really use some help figuring this out.  We are getting random errors a few times a day and usually in places where we are using CFLDAP.
    Thanks,
    David

    Absolutely unbelievable that this has been going on for 4 YEARS and there are still NO definitive answers from Adobe!!
    There's no definite answer from Adobe, because there's no definitive single question.  These errors come up because - for any number of possible reasons - the JVM becomes overloaded.  And it's almost always down to an issue with the application code being run, and nothing to do with CF, per-se.  So what's Adobe supposed to do?  Come and fix your application for you?  There are plenty of diagnostic tools out there - some built into CF itself - which you could use to sort the problem out.  Or you could hire someone like Mike Brunt to come and have a look at your set up.  All it takes to fix these things is to actually do something about fixing it, rather than slamming one's fist on the desk saying "why doesn't Adobe do something!"
    I thought - and my knowledge in the area isn't expansive - the inability to allocate threads was down to the app being choked up: threads are a finite commodity, and if requests are queuing up faster than the JVM can clear them, you're gonna get errors eventually.  What causes this sort of thing?  More traffic than the server can process.  This could be because of server kit, or it could be due to code that doesn't scale to the requirement.  Usually the latter.  Basically one cannot polish a turd.
    I have a 24x7 production server that services 180,000 clients in 300 countries around the clock that cannot afford to be down for more than a few minutes at a time.
    I'm running Windows 2008 32-bit with 4GB of RAM because I have some graphics software that cannot tolerate a 64-bit OS.  Everything has been running fine for the past few months, but now it's starting to crash more and more frequently.  I have CF 8.0.1.195765 and Java 1.6.0_04
    How many concurrent requests for 180000 clients generate?  The number of clients matters less than how heavily the site is used.  But, to be honest, I get the impression the implication is "it's a busy site", in which case I think your hardware is a bit on the lean side.  Also, if it's a mission-critical app, running it on a single server is probably ill-advised, just from a fault-tolerance perspective even before one starts thinking about performance.
    If I was in your situation, I'd consider the following options:
    * upgrade your JVM to the most recent version (1.6.0_21?)
    * put more RAM in the box, and run a second CF instance on it.
    * get another box.
    * refactor the environment so the graphics software runs on a different box, upgrading the CF server to 64-bit (again, with more RAM)
    * run some diagnostics on the server, seeing what's taking up threads and where any bottlenecks might be
    * get an expert in to do the analysis side of things.
    * stop expecting Adode to fix "something".
    One of my other symptoms I have noticed is that any work done using RDP starts getting really really bogged down.  Opening Windows Explorer and searching for files can take minutes.  Restarting the CF service will sometimes fail to complete, and you have to wait a few minutes before the manual Start option appears in the dropdown.  Maybe coincidentally, the Performance Monitor will fail to add any of the ColdFusion metrics, for example Running Requests and Queued Requests, and the Event Monitor shows an error relating to an 8-byte boundary not being maintained.
    You don't, by any chance, store your client variables in the registry do you?  The only time I've seen this happen is when the CF box is munging the OS environment, and the only way I can think this could happen if it was clogging the registry.  Never store client variables in the registry.

    Hi,
    what is the error message?
    In his example it seems his definition is not completed. As it sais: at least one.... required. So he should most likely complete his definition and then it should work.
    What are you doing? Do your try to import objects of a simple MI7.0 standard app? If this is the case you will most likely run into problems cause MI7.1 does not support T51 BOs and so you will see an error message.

    Thanks to all

    Ok. I've managed to solve my problem. Thanks to everybody.
    For anyone who is interested in here is the solution that fixed the error for me :
    Because I had before installed JVM version 1.4.2 and then I uninstalled it and put the version 1.4.1_01, as the one that App Server 7.0 is using, the uninstaller has left a newer version of jvm.dll in WINNT/System32
    After I've renamed this file to _jvm.dll (for example), just to get rid of it, the domain and his instances have started correctly.
    Good luck!

  • Unable to Retreive Site definition - Endeca 11.1

    Hi All,
    I am getting below exception.
    Can any one suggest on this?
    14:40:02,550 SEVERE [atg.endeca.assembler.multisite.ExtendedSiteManager] (http-/0.0.0.0:8080-5) Unable to retrieve site definition for site id: /homeSite: com.ende
    ca.store.exceptions.PathNotFoundException: No node found at path: [pages].

    Hi,
    If you are using the filestorefactory you should export the experience manager configurations to a directory and point the same directory in your assembler properties as well.
    This is a reason for the page not found error.
    It also throws the siteID definition is not available. So create a site named homeSite in the configuration files and do the configurations for the filestorefactory and continue with your work.
    By default if you have installed all components in a single server or machine you can just do the promote content and you will be able to work.
    Hope this solves you problem.
    Thanks,
    Karthik V

  • Unable to Create Secure Store

    Hi
    We are having an issue installaing Netweaver 7.0 (JAVA=ABAP).
    We are trying to build thsi from a media that is two years old just to add one more system to satisy our testing needs. All the GTS systems are running on AIX 5L and Oracle 10.2.
    During the installation of Netweaver I ran into an issue during the "Create Secure Store" phase of the installation, and I could not find much help to resolve this issue.
    The sapinst.log refers to the SecureStoreCreate.log both of which are attached to this message.
    The SecureStoreCreate.log indicates that teh process is "unable to create a secure store" and that the "Jurisdiction policy files are not signed by trusted signers!"
    After some research I found that this issue may be related to the OLD JCE Policy file from the original media, that was being used in the current installation.
    I replaced the original policy file "unrestricted.zip" under /temp/JCE with the new file downloaded from http://www6.software.ibm.com/dl/jcesdk/jcesdk-p, with /temp/JCE being the location specified during instllation. Teh installation was stopped and re-started.
    The above has not resolved the error. If this error is related to the JCE policy file, I am guessing it has to be copied to some other  location in order to continue with the  installation, since we are already past the Create DB and Import ABAp phase.
    If this error is not related to JCE policy file, I have no clue. Any suggestions ?
    Thanks

  • Unable to create Web Service Model

    Hi All,
         I generated one wsdl file from Message Interfaces in Integration Repository of SAP XI.
    I am unable to create the model by using this wsdl file in Web Dynpro.
    I followed this approach
    In the NWDS > model > createModel > Import WebService Model > LocalFile System or URL > Here I am selecting wsdl file from local system.
    But the model is not created. Even it is not giving any message or error.
    Please suggest how to proceed.
    Regards
    Ashish.

    Hi Ashish,
      I think you missed something when u r creating the wsdl only.
    So do one thing check it again else create the wsdl again and try importing it. It should not be the problem else.I'm giving my wsdl file here..just check it with this. This takes the associate id as input and will give 3 outputs like email id and others as output. I dont think u can use this wsdl. You can simply compare this with ur wsdl and find out wat is the mistake..
