Unable to execute application

hi, i have created a JButton to execute the Windows Media Player application which available at the computer system (windows XP) ,the filepath of the application is..."c:/Program Files/Windows Media Player/wmplayer.exe" /prefetch:1however i have problem running the application when i program the code like this...Runtime.getRuntime().exec(new String[] {"cmd", "/c", "start", "c:/Program Files/Windows Media Player/wmplayer.exe"+" "+"/prefetch:1"});it only appears as MS-DOS. I want the program to run the application when i press the JButton. What's wrong with the java codes i did? Hope to have guidance thank you.

have you tried
Runtime.getRuntime().exec("c:/Program Files/Windows Media Player/wmplayer.exe");or
Runtime.getRuntime().exec(new String [] command = {"cmd.exe", "/C", "c:/Program Files/Windows Media Player/wmplayer.exe"});
