Unable to find HDL Interface Node

I have MyRio and LabView 2014 with all the modules installed and updated.
Xilinx 2014 is also installed and I can compile for FPGA.
However in block diagram I can't find HDL interface Node for importing VHDL code. As you see in the second screenshot.
How may I solve this issue?

  • "Unable to find inbound interface"

    Hi all,
    I have an error in sxmb_moni. Everytime I click on the red flag, I get the error, "Unable to find inbound interface". I already checked namespaces and SCV in IR. I also checked Interface Determination in ID. They are all correct. I have already tested my config in QAS, and everything went well. I'm having problems right now in PRD. Can somebody help me? thanks.
    When I run Test Tool Config, I get the following error:

  • HDL Interface Node (UsingFilterCore.vi) and "timing constraint" error when compiling

    I'm trying to use the HDL interface node in LV8 FPGA with a PCI-5640R and had the "timing constraint" error when compiling my VI, however, the same VI was successfully compiled on a CRIO-9104, it seems the FPGA on PCI-5640R is not good as the one on CRIO-9104, or I'm not using it right. could you please kindly help me out?
    I tested it with the sample code downloaded from NI website
    ( http://zone.ni.com/devzone/conceptd.nsf/webmain/456722DDDE17986A86256E7B0065EE6F ) which demonstrates using an IP core for a filter. To simplify it, I only keep the HDL Interface Node and the While Loop (see "UsingFilterCore.vi" in attached zip file), and then I created 2 projects including this VI (1 for CRIO-9104, in sub folder "CRIO-9104", the other for PCI-5640R, in sub folder "IFRIO 5640"). When opening the 2 projects separately in LV8.0 and selecting the VI for compile, the one for 9104 passed and the other failed. Here I attach the source code, error message screenshot and the NIReport from MAX, hope you can reduplicate the problem.
    Can you help me out? Thanks very much !

    Hi Jerry,
    I'm just tried to make all these steps by myself (http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/3516). I have generated FIR filter using Xilinx ISE and got *.VHD file which was going to use in HDL Node.
    In the Parameters tab of the HDL Interface Node configuration dialog, double-click in the Names column to add parameters. Create parameters as shown below.
    Next, switch to the Code tab. Notice that your parameters now appear in the entity section. To complete the next two sections of code, you will need to refer to the filt.vhd file that you generated earlier and interface the filter core to the LabVIEW FPGA execution system.
    1. The first problem I met was integrating VHDL code from earlier generated *.VHD file to CODE tab in properties of HDL Node. Content of entity section in *.VHD is not the same that in your attached file. Please check it in attached files. I'm sure this is the main reasen of problem.
    Next, switch to the External Files tab. Click the Add File button and select the filt.edn file that you created earlier. This is the EDIF netlist file that you generated earlier.
    2. I have no idea where can I get it and when during filter generation using Xilinx ISE it was generated too. How can I get it? I had to use your attached file filt.edn.
    3. After that I have made the same schematics like you have in your VI FPGA and try to run. But I've got two error messages:
    HDL Interfave node: enable chain not handled. Details: Refer to the documentation for the correct assignments for the enable_out output from your HDL code.
    HDL Interfave node: output not handled. Details: Right-click the node, select Configure to open the Configure HDL Interface Node dialog box, and use the Code tab to handle all output parameters.
    Actually I need to model FIR filter:
    Bandwidth 200-600 Hz
    Sampling 8 KHz
    Attenuation 80 dB
    That's why I tried to follow all these steps by myself to understand how does it work.
    Thanks a lot.

  • Effeciency of HDL Interface Node compared to IP Net

    Hi,
        If I use HDL Interface Node for VHDL code in FPGA VI, Will it be more efficient than IPs which are available at http://www.ni.com/ipnet/ ?
    Kindly guide me.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Rashid
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hello Rashid,
    IP on IPNet will be written using CLIP which is much better for implementing VHDL into your LabVIEW FPGA code.  The following document discusses some of the differences between the two.
    http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/ce502221933fcceb8625750000011fb5?OpenDocument
    Also, something to keep in mind, as of LabVIEW 2010 the HDL node will be deprecated so for future compatibility, you are better going the CLIP route.

  • Unable to find mapping Interface columns for Service Items in Sales Order

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement to create a service item for a Sales Order through Interface tables. Once the oe_headers_iface_all and oe_lines_iface_all tables are populated, order import program is run to populate the data into the base tables.
    I am unable to figure out the interface mapping columns for the base table columns namely,
    (oe_order_lines_all table)
    service_ref_order_type
    service_ref_order_numbe
    service_ref_line_number
    service_ref_shipment_number
    Also, the above mentioned base table columns are mandatory and not able to create a Service item through Order import.
    When checked in the front end, per record history these columns are taken from oe_order_lines_v, however when checked in the query of this view am unable to trace the above four columns.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • Unable to find JVMDI interface - GetEnv retruining JNI_EVERSION

    I'm building a debug agent using jrockit 1.4.2_11 (windows XP). However, my debug agent doesn't seem to be able to find jvmdi version 1_3 (or any previous version, such as 1_2, 1_1 or even 1) in that VM.
    For example, the initialization call
    (*jvm)->GetEnv(jvm, &jvmdi, JVMDI_VERSION_1) is returning the error JNI_EVERSION.
    Any suggestions?

    Later versions of JRockit does not support JVMDI. Please use JVMTI instead (yes, JVMTI is supported on our later 1.4.2 versions).

  • Design a 32bit counter using HDL Interface

    Hi,
    I am new to Labview FPGA, and i am trying to explore the HDL interface node in Labview,
    i could sucessfully implement an adder and MAC using the same interface,
    and tested the same using a File IO.
    But the problem araised when i tried implementing a counter code using the HDL Interface,
    the values i observed in the display panel and in the File output are not producing any count.,
    is there any care to be taken for implementing the above, the same VHDL code is tested for
    producing the count using the simulator.Below is the code which i tried to implement
    process( clk, reset )
      begin
        if( reset = '1' ) then
           debug_out <= (others=>'0');
             debug_cnt <= (others=>'0');
        enable_out <= '0';
        elsif rising_edge(clk) then
             if (ErrorIn(0) = '0') then
                  debug_out <= debug_cnt;
                   if(debug_cnt = X"000000FF") then
                            debug_cnt <= (others=>'0');
                   else
                           debug_cnt <= debug_cnt + X"00000001";
               end if;
             else
                    debug_cnt <= (others=>'1');
             end if;
          if( enable_clr = '1' ) then
            enable_out <= '0';
          elsif( enable_in = '1' ) then
            enable_out <= '1';
          end if;
    end if;
    end process;

    Hi Ipshita,
    Thanks a lot for your reply,
    1. By 'display panel' do you mean front panel?
           Yes! i mean the Display panel means the Numaric Indicator in the front panel.
    2. Are you sending this counter data to a file and if yes, what kind?
         Yes! am sending the output data to a file, am wiriting the data to a binary file.
    3. By "it works with the simulator" do you mean that with an actual
    FPGA card it is producing no data in the front panel and file?     Yes! it works well when i checked with my modelsim simulator, but when using the Labview FPGA  i could not get proper output.
    Anyways am attaching the VI project, please go through and let me know,if some problem is there with the design
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi,
    1. Check the Inbound message payload in sxmb_moni.
    2.  If your  payload  is invalid, it wont be displayed in moni. So check  the msg content in  RWB- Message Monitoring.
    3. Let me know if you are using condition in the Reciever Determination.

  • "Unable to find node..." error

    Does anyone have any idea what the error below is trying to tell me???
    I'm getting these every time I try to sync this same package file called "personal notebook.ntx".
    1) When I look inside the package file there is no such file. There is a file called "req_of.gif", but no file with a "._" preceeding. On top of that this is a standard AFP based home directory (not CIFS, or NFS).
    2) Every time the sync runs, the file that gets the error CHANGES! So one time it'll be the file I just mentioned, the next time it'll be this file:
    "Documents/NoteTaker-NoteShare/Personal/personal notebook.ntx/Attachments/._s117018.jpg"
    The next time I'll be this file:
    "Documents/NoteTaker-NoteShare/Personal/personal notebook.ntx/Attachments/.smlogo2.gif"
    And so on. There are about 84 files in that directory and if the automatic syncs are let run enough times, it will eventually generate an error on most of the files in that directory (but not all

    Hmmm, Ok, this is helpful, however we're now in an area I'm rather unfamiliar with so need some more help (thanks for this by the way).
    First what I know...
    * Everything below the directory "personal notebook.ntx" is part of a package and not directly under my control but under control of an application called Notetaker. I have however, been having to look into the packages a lot recently due to the fact that the modification dates don't seem to work the same in Leopard as they did in Tiger (I mentioned this in another thread, but no one seem to have any insight on it http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1244035&tstart=0). By looking into the package seemed to be the only way to be able to verify whether or not my files were being sync'ed correctly as I could no longer rely on modification dates.
    * Checking the rest of the files in the package shows that a lot but not all of the files have that attribute set. All the files in that directory have that attribute set.
    * I don't consistently get the same file to error out every time. If I run the sync two times in a row with no changes what-so-ever a different file will generate the error.
    So questions that come to mind since I haven't dealt with extended attributes very much....
    * Are you saying that the extended attributes could only have been set by a Leopard client? A Tiger client would not have been able to set them? (I'm syncing these files between Leopard and Tiger clients).
    * what is the "com.apple.FinderInfo" attribute? Can I delete it? What would I lose? The fact that not all files in the package have this makes me wonder whether or not it's necessary.
    * why would FileSyncAgent have a problem with extended attributes?
    Thanks for any help.

  • [Solved] Unable to find root device

    Hi guys,
    it's been three days now that my laptop refuses to boot with a message from systemd like this:
    ERROR: device 'UUID=xxx...' not found. Skipping fsck.
    ERROR: Unable to find root device 'UUID=xxx...'.
    You are being dropped to a recovery shell.
    That said, keep in mind that I'm saying "three days" just because it's in the past two days that I've spent most of the time searching in the Internet for a solution of what seems just to be a well-known, very common problem, especially when it arises after a kernel upgrade (as in my case).
    But believe me, I've been trying this and that through the live Arch Linux environment, but without the slightest improvement: regeneration of the initramfs, regeneration of /etc/fstab, reconfiguration of GRUB (although this was clearly unhelpful, since the problem arises when the kernel has already been booted), small changes in the hooks in /etc/mkinitcpio.conf, small changes to some modules loaded at boot, downgrading linux... Nothing works.
    I'm now writing from another computer, so I cannot post the entire output of useful commands now, but if you need to know something I will give you the necessary information.
    In the meanwhile, notice that I use Linux LVM partition with logical volumes formatted with Btrfs, without encryption.
    It's strange that even with the dowgrade from Linux 3.18.3 (the one after whose installation the system was unusable) to 3.18.2 the problem still remains.
    However, the only thing I managed to take from my system is the output of dmesg, obtained from the recovery shell, after having set the debug settings for systemd in the kernel command line before booting.

    Guys, I think I've found the strange thing.
    First, in the recovery shell, when I type "lvm lvscan", it prints:
    WARNING: lvmetad is running but disabled. Restart lvmetad before enabling it!
    and then it says that all four my logical volumes root,boot,home and var are inactive.
    So I tried to set them up manually, with "lvm vgchange -a y", and guess what happened: I was able to boot!
    I still haven't managed to understand the real causes of this problem, but basically it seems that I have the same problem explained here: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=184340.
    The only difference is that there the OP says to have solved the problem with an upgrade to Linux 3.15.7, while it appeared to me with the upgrade to 3.18.3, and as I said it doesn't go away neither with a downgrade nor with another upgrade to version 3.18.4

  • Unable to find a WSDL that has a definition for service

    Dear all
    I have a very simple composite applicationexposing a web service. When I deploy the application I get:
    There was an error deploying the composite on soa_server1: Deployment Failed: Unable to find a WSDL that has a definition for service {http://soa/sf/login}bpelprocess1_client_ep and port loginPort_pt. Please make sure that the port attribute for the binding defined in the composite file is correct by checking the namespace, service name, and port name. In addition, check that the WSDL associated with the binding namespace is imported and currently reachable (check the import nodes at the top of the composite file). Finally, validate the HTTP proxy settings for the server.
    However the build process shows no errors. The entire application was built using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.5 using a pre-constructed WSDL. The SOA suite is 11.1.1.5
    Any pointers will be really appreciated.
    Thanks
    The composite is this:

    Hi,
    I don't see a loginPort_pt port in the wsdl, but it is referenced by the composite...
    There's only ports login_port_11 and login_port_12 defined...
    Cheers,
    Vlad
