Hi i successfullyinstalled weblogic 6.0, the reasons solaris patches required to run java
1.3. Try to install jdk1.3 first to make sure weblogic installation goes fine.

Unable to install Weblogic server 64 bit 10.3.0
I am trying to install Weblogic server 64 bit 10.3.0.
Downloaded the generic net installer zip file of 64 bit. And installing using the jar file installer.jar by pre-installed 64 bit JDK version 1.6.0_22.
During installation, while installing the files I get "A fatal error has occurred. This application will terminate."
While browsing through the installation logs the below is what I see:

Looks like there was a conflict or file clash with a failed previous installation of Weblogic. So clean up everything and do the installation from scratch.

I have installed weblogic 10.3.3 five times on Oracle linux Enterprise x86, always was successful
this is the first server im configuring with weblogic 10.3.4.
The server is clear, just formatted and nothing installed further the rps that the installation guide said and the OS user.
$chmod +x wls1034_linux32.bin
$./wls1034_linux32.bin

wls installer file is a .bin file, the name says its 32 bit.

Unable to install weblogic server 6.1 (evaluation) on w2000
Just after the installation program unpacks the files, the process is aborted.
We are trying to install it on a PIII 800Mhz machine with 128MB RAM and w2000. When executing the same file on a NT 4.0 ( same machine ) there is NO problem.
Any hint ? thanks a lotGenerally, an install fails at the point you describe due to there not being enough space in the TEMP folder (where ever your machine has this set to). Check to
see that there is enough space on the disk that contains the TEMP folder. Even though the two versions of the OS are installed on the same machine, the TEMP
folders may be on differenct disks.

Installing Weblogic Liquid data on Solaris 10 x86
Hi,
I have a Solaris SunFire V65x server on which i have installed Solaris 10 (x86 IA) operating system. I was successfully able to install Weblogic 8.1 SP2 Server on this platform. However i am unable to install WebLogic Liquid Data 1.0 on this server.
Is there a way around ?The patches that are mentioned as requirements in the database installation guide are quite old and should all be included in the latest releases (u9 and u10), so you should be able to install oracle without access to OS support and patches. But I still want to strongly advise against this (for production). If you don't have a support subscription you may also not have a license to run solaris (you can download the software for free, but are only allowed to use it for 90 days) and even if it is possible to install and run Oracle right now, there might be a time when (db) support asks you to install certain OS patches.
So if this is for a proof of concept only, go ahead, but if you want to run this in production, better get support and licensing.

I am trying to install essabse11.1.2.1.0 on existing weblogic instance on linux.
I installed essabse on the same middleware home whare existing weblogic server configured(for OBIEE) Here I am unable to install and configure the weblogic,
any suggitions how to install and configure essabse on the same weblogic instance?
Here are some conflicting statements from oracle,Essabse installation guide 11.1.2.1 below.. I am confused to move forward any suggitions?
1.If you are installing on the same machine on which Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise
Edition or Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher are installed, install into two different
Middleware homes. The products rely on different releases of Fusion Middleware.
2.Typically, EPM System Installer installs WebLogic Server for you. If you have an existing
WebLogic Server installation and want to use it instead of the WebLogic Server installed by
EPM System Installer, note the Middleware home location for the WebLogic Server
installation. During installation, you must install EPM System products to this same
Middleware home. If EPM System Installer detects an existing WebLogic Server installation
in the installation location, it does not install WebLogic Server.I had problems when I tried to install both products to the same middleware home, for simplicity I ended up just installing to separate locations.
I am sure it can be done but I don't think it is so straight forward, hopefully one day the products will link up in a cleaner way. Saying that I only really tried once and maybe I should spent much more time investigating whether it is possible.
Cheers
John

Unable to install SOA 10.1.3.5 for weblogic server
Hi,
I am unable to install SOA suite 10.1.3.5.
During installation it is throwing an error "ORACLE_HOME needs to be at the same level as the WL_HOME"
I installed weblogic server at E:\OraHome\10g
I set the ORACLE_HOME=E:\OraHome\10g"
WL_HOME="E:\OraHome\10g\wlserver_10.3"
SOA_ORACLE_HOME="E:\OraHome\10g\oracleas"
But still the same error is coming.
Can someone please help me sort it out
Thanks,
BalaramHi,
Thanks a lot for your reply.
I set the ORACLE_HOME and WL_HOME to E:\OraHome\10g
But still the same error is coming.
I have already installed Weblogic server 10.3 in E:\OraHome\10g
When I try to install the SOA suite here is the step I am following
1) Source: F:\download\SOA\10g\ias_windows_x86_101351\Disk1\stage\products.xml
Destination: Name: oracleas
Path: E:\OraHome\10g
2) Language Selection
3) Weblogic server location: E:\OraHome\10g\wlserver_10.3
here when I press next it is throwing the error "The ORACLE_HOME needs to be at the same level as WL_HOME"
Do I need any preinstallation like database before going for SOA suite?
Thanks,
Balaram -

I already tried it with simply <data-value name="COMPONENT_PATHS" value="WebLogic Server" /> instead of the whole bunch, but behaviour didn't change.
My environment settings:

/opt/jdk1.7.0_11/bin/sparcv9/
root@usqwrts001:/tmp/karin# echo $PATH
/opt/jdk1.7.0_11/bin/sparcv9:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/platform/sun4v/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/opt/openssh/bin:/usr/openwin/bin
As there is no bin directory under sparcv9 (which contains the 64-Bit modules), i took sparcv9 again for the path (instead of taking $JAVA_HOME/bin as described in documentation) . But I also tried the bin directory (without sparcv9) with the same effect.
Has anybody an idea for me??
Thanks a lot in advance

Hi there, i have an issue installing oracle forms and reports. its throwing this error"INST-07408: Unable to install or configure the product on a 32-bit JVM on a 64-bit machine. Make sure to install and configure the product in supported modes." on step 5. I have jdk 64bit installed, weblogic server was installed successfully but iam getting stuck somehow.
Below are details of my pc.

Available Physical Memory 1.00 GB
Total Virtual Memory 7.87 GB
Available Virtual Memory 1.25 GB
Page File Space 3.94 GB
Page File C:\pagefile.sysTo clarify further.... It is important to note that Forms/Repors 11.1.2.x software (including WLS and JDK) must be of the same archetecture as the machine. In other words, you cannot use the 32bit Forms/Reports 11.1.2 software on 64bit Windows. If you are using a 64bit OS, you must install the 64bit software. Again, this would include Forms/Reports, WLS, and JDK

Insufficient Disk-space Error Installing WebLogic 1033_generic on Mac
How do I resolve this "Insufficient Disk-space Error" message I get while installing WLS1033? I thought I have more than enough disk-space on my system to handle just about any application software size out there. i mean, beside the 937.72 gigs of available disk-space on my system, I also have roughly 240 gigs external drive space. The system runs on 8 gigs of RAM. I know I am doing something wrong; just can't figure out what. I am new at WebLogic and so any help from the community is highly appreciated. Someone please help.
sblissAl
I got this error: "Unable to access jarfile wls1033_generic.jar" when I enter "java -Dos.name=unix -jar wls1033_generic.jar" in the Terminal command line. I very am frustrated. Please help me. Please advise.
One question: Is anybody able to install webLogic? I am just curious.
