Unable to instantiate class CL_CGPLP_PROJECT
Hi All,
The requirement is to Release the Trade Promotion Mangement for settlement. For this there is a method of the class CL_CRM_MKTPL_COST_ASSIGNMENT=>RELEASE_FOR_SETTLEMENT which will release the TPM. But for this one of the arguments that you will have to pass is the instantiated object CL_CGPLP_PROJECT. To instantiate the CL_CGPLP_PROJECT I need to pass some attributes which I do but it ends up in a dump saying MISSING_OBJECT_MANAGER. Following is the code:
DATA: TPM TYPE REF TO CL_CGPL_PROJECT,

But once I try to instantiate the Project class it goes for a dump. Any help in this regard would be helpful.
Best Regards,
Sudhi
Hi Sudhindra,
I also faced similar problem but was able to resolve it by first calling CL_CGPL_OBJECT_MANAGER=>GET_INSTANCE before instantiating CL_CGPL_PROJECT. Pls see my code below. Hope this helps you avoiding short dump.

Unable to load class and instantiate
Hi All,
I have a java class B in a jar file which is in tomcat's lib directory. I am trying to instantiate class B from class A which is in the same jar file. But I am unable to create an instance of class B and the control in the program simply advance to the next line and there is no error printed in tomcat log files.
Can anyone please tell me what am I missing here ... why class A is getting loaded correctly whereas class B is not loaded by tomcat ?
Thanks & Regards,
Kumar.Hi.
Are you sure classes A and B compile correctly into the jar?
Are you sure that class A is really loaded?
Can you give some more information?

I have the CLASSPATH set to the location of DBCacheStore.class file both in cache-server.cmd and in my application startup JVM params. But still i am not able to resolve this issue. However i am still able to hit the database and get the values for the first call and on sub-sequent call, i am able to retrive the value from cache. Tomcat 4.1 Bean error (Unable to compile class for JSP)
Help,
I am using Tomcat 4.1 with with JDK1.3.1_01. I have a JSP page in which I try to use a Bean, but I get the following error from Tomcat.
The JSP page is very simple. I am using package names in the import statement. Code below.
I've put the class files under
<TOMCAT>\webapps\projectname\WEB-INF\classes under the appropriate packages. What else is missing? I can not figure out what I am doing wrong.

***************** END TOMCAT ERROR MESSAGE *********************Hi
I am running my Tomcat apps (on a Windows dev machine) in an alternate location (ie. not default webapps). The same crap comes to me every time. Unable to install etc. I have tried every trick in the book regarding classpath settings etc.
When I use 'javap' to check the classpath from any location on my machine, its works and javap returns the signature of my class.
When I use it though Tomcat (with the import set to include the filename), it get the error. I have heard rumors that using JDK 1.3 in stead of 1.4 helps, but I just want it to work with 1.4 :)
So if any of you can help me on this, please.
PS. On my linux server it works just fine, as does every other thing on that machine ;)

Why the standalone server unable to instantiate a bean?
I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.2 and working on an application that has dynamic regions.
The application was running fine within the Integrated WLS. But I got the following errors when the application run within the standalone WLS 10.3.2:
: JspServlet error: Servlet unable to dispatch to the following requested page:
The following exception occurred:javax.faces.FacesException: oracle.adf.controller.ControllerException:
ADFC-10001: cannot instantiate class 'com.amec.convero.converoview.backingBean.DynamicRegionManager' class
The "DynamicRegionManager" is a session bean defined within the adfc-config.xml.
Why do I get this error only when running in a standalone WLS?
The application has no security setup at this point.
Any insight to debug/address this issues is appreciated!Difficult to say without knowing how you have it all setup.
I can tell you what we did though when we used a proxy server.
We used AD and group policy to set the proxy server in users web browsers (I say we but it was the server guys, no idea about configuring AD etc. :-)).
You can add exceptions to this and we added an exception for our internal domain name so the browser would ignore the proxy server setting for internal requests and go direct to the web servers.

Hi,
I am using jsf 1.1
I am trying to populate a simple drop down in MyJsp.jsp with the List values generated in ContactsListBean.java. I am copying the code here for reference.
when I launch the page (forwarding to this MyJsp.jsp in index.jsp) I am getting this error below. Can anyone help me out what is it that I am doing wrong?? I am unable to trace out what's wrong. I have even tried the same logic with h:selectOneListbox also but I get the same error..
Any help/advice would be highly appreciated, Thanks in advance.

Unable to compile class for JSP
Please can anyone help me to solve this.
Actually,this is the condition.
In my db,there is a table called UserPassword, which has 4
fields(empNo,UserName,password,level). Now I want to do these things:
When the user submits the data to create a new account via HTML form, it submits the data to the file called CreateAcc.jsp. In this file it perform some logic,here are they.
1)To check the empNo,if it is already exist in the DB,
if empNo =exist then display error.(record already exist)
if empNo =notexist then do task 2).
2)check the UserName,if it is already exist in the db,
if UserName=exist then display error.(because it's a primary key)
if UserName=notexist then do task 3).
3)Create a new user account and save it to the db.
To do these tasks,I never create a new objects for the tasks 1) and 2).
only for task 3)create an object.
Is it the right way?
Here is the file CreateAcc.jsp
<%@ page language="java" %>
<%@ page import="core.UserAccManager" %>
<%@ page import="data.UserPassword" %>
<jsp:useBean id="UserAccManager" class="core.UserAccManager" scope="session"/>
<jsp:setProperty name="UserAccManager" property="*"/>
<jsp:useBean id="UserPassword" class="data.UserPassword" scope="session"/>
<jsp:setProperty name="UserPassword" property="*"/>
<%
String nextPage ="MainForm.jsp";
if(UserPassword.verifyEmpno()){
if(UserPassword.verifyUsername()){
if(UserPassword.createAcc()) nextPage ="MsgAcc.jsp";
}else{
nextPage="UserNameExist.jsp";
else{
nextPage="UserAccError.jsp";
%>
<jsp:forward page="<%=nextPage%>"/>The directory structure:
UserPassword.java- F:/Project/core/data/UserPassword.java
UserAccManager.java - F:/Project/core/UserAccManager.java
Now both are compiling.I put the class files into the TOMCAT,as follows.
UserAccManager.class - webapps/mySystemName/WEB-INF/classes/core/
UserPassword.class - webapps/mySystemName/WEB-INF/classes/core/data/
Here is the full code of the file UserAccManager.java.

Are there any mistakes? If so tell me where is it and how to change them.Please help.I try it that way, but it don't compile.
Error:core\data\UserPassword.java:package javax.servlet does not exist
import javax.servlet.*;
core\data\UserPassword.java:package javax.servlet.http does not exist
import javax.servlet.http.*;
So,I comment them only in the UserPassword.java file,and compile it again.
Then it compile well.I goto the directory to get the .class files.
But there is only UserPassword.class inside the data folder. There is not
UserAccManager.class in the core folder.
Then I try this way,I put my 2 java files in to a new folder,
F:\SystemName\com
When I try it that way, but it don't compile.
javac -classpath . -d . com\*.javaError:com\UserPassword.java:package javax.servlet does not exist

So,I comment them only in the UserPassword.java file,and compile it again.
Now both are compiling well.There was 2 class files.
I put them in to the WEB-INF/classes/com directory.
Start the server.But it gave errors:

Eclipse Plugin Creation - "Plug-in name was unable to load class " error
Hi everybody and happy new year to you all,
i got a little problem again. I have written the first lines of code of my plugin and wanted to test it (run as Eclipse Application). I got the following error-msg, when clickin either on the menu item or toolbar button:
"Could not create action delegate for id: org.eclipse.tui.inpulse.actions.InpulseStart
Reason:
Plug-in org.eclipse.tui.inpulse was unable to load class org.eclipse.tui.inpulse.InpulseStart."
My project has the following properties (of which i read they are important):
Source folder: org.eclipse.tui.inpulse/src
Output folder: org.eclipse.tui.inpulse/bin
Dependencies: org.eclipse.ui, org.eclipse.core.runtime
Extensions: org.eclipse.ui.actionSets
ExtensionsPoints: none
The following is my plugin xml:
<plugin>
<requires>
<import plugin="org.eclipse.core.resources"/>
<import plugin="org.eclipse.ui"/>
</requires>
<runtime>
<library name="Inpulse.jar"/>
</runtime>
<extension
id="org.eclipse.tui.inpulse.InpulseActionSet"
name="org.eclipse.tui.inpulse.InpulseActionSet"
point="org.eclipse.ui.actionSets">
<actionSet
id="org.eclipse.tui.inpulse.InpulseActionSet"
label="Inpulse"
visible="true"
description="The action set for the Eclipse Hello World example">
<menu id="org.eclipse.tui.inpulse.InpulseMenu" label="Inpulse">
<separator name="samples"/>
</menu>
<action id="org.eclipse.tui.inpulse.actions.InpulseStart"
menubarPath="org.eclipse.tui.inpulse.InpulseMenu/samples"
toolbarPath="Normal"
label="Inpulse"
tooltip="Start pattern search."
class="org.eclipse.tui.inpulse.InpulseStart"/>
</actionSet>
</extension>
</plugin>The javafile "InpulseStart.java" is in the "org.eclipse.tui.inpulse" package and has the first line "package org.eclipse.tui.inpulse;". The class "InpulseStart" implements "IWorkbenchWindowActionDelegate".
So the following members are implemented:
public void run(IAction proxyAction){...};
public void selectionChanged(IAction proxyAction, ISelection selection){...};
public void dispose(){...};
//and some additional ones ;-)I really dont know what i do wrong. If you have an idea, what i just miss out or do wrong, id be glad if you helped me out!
CyaAye, you are right, i should/could have posted this somewhere else. I just hoped, that i can get a good answer here, cause ppl helped me out very nice before.
Im sorry if i offended users of this forum...
The "advice" is recognized and i will post somewhere else in case i have a eclipse specific problem. -
Unable to load class from JSTL
Hello. I am using JSTL 1.06 from Jakarta with Tomcat 4.1 on a MacOS X 10.3.9 server. I have a jsp that contains the following:
<%@ taglib prefix="c" uri="http://java.sun.com/jstl/core" %>
<jsp:useBean id="validate" class="mypackage.ValidationBean" scope="request">
<jsp:setProperty name="validate" property="*" />
</jsp:useBean>
<c:if test="${validate.valid == false}">
The input is not valid.
</c:if>In case it matters, my web.xml file starts out like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
<!DOCTYPE web-app

"http://java.sun.com/j2ee/dtds/web-app_2_3.dtd">I have placed jstl.jar and standard.jar in my webapp's WEB-INF/lib directory. However, when I try to load the page, I get this error message:
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: /myjsp.jsp(60,0) Unable to load class if
I know that many people have asked similar questions, but in each case, the response was to put jstl.jar and standard.jar in WEB-INF/lib and make sure that you're using the proper URI for the taglib, and I think I have done those things correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated!Thanks for your response! In answer to your questions:
The JRE is 1.4.2_09. I can't use 1.5 (5.0) without upgrading the OS.
I haven't tried it on a PC. I might be able to, but it would take me some time to set everything up.
