Unable to invoke Sequence in the test package management

Hi Experts,
Today when i am working on creating test packages suddenly after selecting the node i am unable to do Sequence for the test package i tired by clciking the sequence buttton and also i tried from menu goto-->sequence. new window is not opened and also no error mesaage is also displayed.
can any one suggest please.
Regards,
Naveen Gunda

Please check in transaction SICF, if service: /default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/agstwb_ce is activated. Please expand for this the tree via "/default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/" and activate then the node "agstwb_ce".
After activation of node "agstwb_ce" select "test service" from context menu of this node.
What happens then?
Other approach:
Try to execute function module "CALL_BROWSER" in SE37 with url www.sap.com.
Typically a popup from SAPGUI comes up for security questions, to allow access to this url.
Does it bring the popup and after you choose allow, does the browser start?

  • How to change the sequence number in the test packages?

    Hello,
I need to change the sequence number in the test packages. Currently I use "move test case." However you can only move one item at a time.
There is another option to make this change?
    Best regards,
    Elisabete

    Hi Elisabete,
Sorry, I've to acknowledge the reply from Fabricius.
That's poor in release 7.0. A former version provided a solution where it was possible to move a testcase even over pages at once.  May be SAP changed this functionality because of other problems caused by the former solution.
Therefore I am looking for a business blueprint structure meeting the logical and operational process for little need of changes in sequences.  And I create E2E-scenarios / E2E-processes as an additional structure in a project to have an easier approach in the Test Workbench.  An other option is to divide test packages into smaller ones.
I hope we can look foreward to a better and more comfortable solution in release 7.1.

  • Can I Test the Test Package Created in SolMan Directly from ECC?

    Hi,
the test plan and test packages are created in Solution Manager. The Test Packages are comprised of transactions (on ECC).
(The business scenarios and processes are defined in Solar01, ECC is defined as logical component and assigned to every tx, the test case description is uploaded in Solar02,...)
The needed Trusted RFC (to enable the tester to start the tx from within SolMan) is running late, but I can see that STWB_WORK tx is also available in ECC.
Of course - when I open it in ECC (logged on as a test user - defined in test package in SolMan) the test package is empty in ECC.
What kind of connection is there within STWB_WORK in ECC and SolMan?
Can one somehow "transfer" the packages from SM to ECC, so the tester can start to test the transactions from ECC directly?
Is it possible to see the results and status overview in SolMan during and after testing?
    Thank you in advance,
    cheers,
    Nenad

    Hi
You getting confused between old ECC test workbench and Solution Manager Test workbench.
Test workbench is present there from r/3 version onwards.
When you are performing testing via solman then you have to use the test packages assign to you in STWB_WORK which has the relevant transaction and doc for you to test
here you upload the test result and update status .Later any PM can generate report for overall testing including entire landscape and not one system.
But remember it has got no connection to ur r/3 workbench
The diff between 2 is...solman test workbench is for entire landscape including BI R/3 ECC any other system ...but in r/3 etc the workbench is alone and obsolete now is used for standalone testing.
Hope it carifies ur doubt completely

  • The test package does not point to the correct logical system

    Hello,
I have defined SMSY logical componant, I have copied project1 to project2.
I have changed within the system landscape of project2, the logical componant.
I have also defined a project plan, and the test packages.
Hence, the test packages still do not point to the logical component that is defined in the landscape...
I must have missed something !
    Can you help ?
    Thanks a lot

    hi
    try following
1 check in smsy the logical component is correctly defined with clients dev qa and prd
2 same logical component is assigned to solar_project_admin
3 Project IMG is generated in the respective system
4 in solar01 check the logical component is shown correctly
5 Re- Generate the test plan once
hope above steps will resolve issue

  • SCAT - Tester in the Test Package

    Hi! All Experts,
I have created a Test Package and assigned Tester to each Test Case. e.g.Data Entry Clerk to Test Script A, Approver to Test Script B.
However, when I run the Test Case in the Test Package, the system always logon as user "ALE-BATCH" and run the Test Scripts A and B.
Is it possible to logon as the Tester and run the Test Script ? E.g. logon as Data Entry Clerk and run Test Script A, then logon as Approver and run Test Script B ?
Thanks in advance for all the advise.

It is because I have picked a RFC Destination with default user id ALE-BATCH and password.
To solve this, I have to build another RFC Destination which will prompt for logon ID and password.

  • Unable to update features using the NWDS Update Manager

I'm updating the NWDS and selecting the features to install from https://nwds.sap.com/swdc/downloads/updates/netweaver/nwds/ce/710
It hung midway while downloading:: plugins/com.sap.engine.clientapis_2.0.0.101103141034.jar (9928K of 10560K bytes)
I had to force kill the NWDS and when I restarted it and tried to update the features again, it doesn't try to download the clientapis jar that failed to download before. I don't find this jar in the eclipse\plugins folder either, so why does it skip this jar?
By the way, the features to install automatically listed were as below:
      - SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio CE 7.1 SP11 PAT000
       - SAP Netweaver Developer Studio Java EE 8.0.110000.101103141042

Now it gets repeatedly hung while downloading the jar file
plugins/com.sap.devmanual.doc.user_1.1....818085804.jar everytime I kill and restart and try to update.
The way I update is from the Help menu->Install/Update->Search for new features to install.
In the "Product Configuration" I see the below
    - SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio
      - E:\Program Files\SAP\IDE\CE\eclipse

Can someone please help understand what is happening and how to get the update manager working, before I get fired from my job for showing no productivity since 2 days? If it is a matter of the mirror being down, can you tell how I can choose a different mirror for a site in the Eclipse Update Manager?

Is there any issue with connection to the network(internet) fromt he NWDS?
Usually, NWDS is unable to connect to network due to incorrect Network Connection parameters.
As a workaround, try to locate an existign installation of the NWDS with all the plugins. Ontain those files and save it in your NWDS folder.

  • Sequence in Test Package

    Hi,
I have a sequence in a test package test1, test2, test3 say. The status and status value in the tester worklist is working i.e if you try execute test3 before test2 get message 'previous test case not yet finished'.
However, the 'ready to test' tick has decided to have it's own sequence of  test1, test3, test2 so when test1 is marked as 'test ended' it moves to test3 looking like test3 is next to test when it's not!!
    any ideas?
    thanks

    Hi,
Your worklist seems to be ok: the test cases are displayed in the order you need: test1, test2, test3 according to the sequence numbers 1, 2, 3.
But the 'ready to test' does not mark test2 as the next test case to be ready for test after the test1 has received the status 'test ended'.
One reason for this is:  You have assigned the test cases test1 and test3 to the user TESTER1 and the test case test2 to the user TESTER2. Then TESTER2 sees in his worklist that test2 is marked to be ready for test. TESTER1 can see his next test case assigned to him to be ready for test. Is that describing your problem?
Therefore I have removed the confusing 'ready to test' information and have provided the 'test end' information instead for default settings of the layer for the worklist.
    Best regards,
    Adelbert

  • How do I make a process model sequence (not entry point) available to the test sequence?

I have sequences that update process model data in the process model sequence that I would like to make public so that I can call this sequence from the test sequence.
    I am using TS2.
I know that I could insert a sequence call and when specifying the module simply select the process model sequence file. Is there a more direct way of specifying the process model sequence file? Can I hide sequences in the process model so that they can't be called by the test sequence?Message Edited by Francey on 05-19-2005 06:38 AM

When creating a custom step type, you can check "Designate an adapter", and use the Sequence Call adapter. If you would like to make the user unable to change this property, you can disable the "Can Specify Module" property on the "Disable Properties" page.
Warning: If you ever want to change the parameters or the sequence call you are making for all steps, you must load ALL of the sequences that use this step, check the "apply changes in this dialog to all loaded steps of this type" box when you make the changes. This means that you should be very careful to make sure you have your step type designed properly before you begin using instances of it. The reason this is the case, is that the module is a property for each instance of the step, rather than the step type. We are simply giving a default value. By disabling the specify module dialog, we are preventing the user from being able to change from the default.

  • Test Package Sequences in Solution Manager Test Management

    Hello,
Is it possible to have a sequence in a test package with only one test case but 2 or more testers?
I have individual test cases which will be tested by several testers e.g. tester1 completes first half, tester2 second half using results obtained from tester1. I do not want to split it into 2 separate test cases.
Is there any way of creating virtual copies of a test case in a test package so I can assign a sequence or any other possible solution?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
As far as I know the only solution for this would be to split it in two test cases, so you can assign the two testers in sequence.
You can assign the same test case for multiple testers but you can't split half of it for each tester.
    Kind regards,
    Fabricius

  • Regenerating test packages in Solution Manager 4.0 after blueprint changes.

    Hello,
    This is the scenario.
A test plan and test package (1 process = 1 test package) have been created.
The blueprint has changed and a new step has been added to the process (the process that has already been assigned into a test package.
How do you get that new task/step into the test package??
    Current situation:
I've managed to regenerate the test plan with the new task listed under the process. However when I go into change test package the new process is NOT there. Why is that? Can I had a new step to a package or not?
    Regards

You must go down to the transaction leveland click and then regenerate it will then be eligible in the package for regeneration.
