Unable to purge execution audit data using repo browser

Since upgrading to OWB 11.2.0.2 I am unable to purge execution audit details from my control centers using the Repository Browser. The select boxes are greyed out so I cannot select jobs and click "Purge Selected Audit Details". This worked fine in 10.2.0.5.
Purging deployment audit details this way works fine. Anyone know if this function in the repo browser is broken in 11.2.0.2?
PS: I am aware of the sql scripts that could be used but I prefer doing it using the repo browser.

the procedure of ADD-policy is down
PROCEDURE add_policy(object_schema IN VARCHAR2 := NULL,
object_name IN VARCHAR2,
policy_name IN VARCHAR2,
audit_condition IN VARCHAR2 := '1=1',
audit_column IN VARCHAR2 := NULL,
handler_schema IN VARCHAR2 := NULL,
handler_module IN VARCHAR2 := NULL,
          enable IN BOOLEAN := TRUE);
you have written extra one paramater is"statement_types=> 'INSERT, UPDATE'".
here is the correct code, but u need to execute permission on DBMS_FGA packege from sys user. connect as sys user then give command
SQL> connect sys/1 as sysdba
Connected.
SQL> grant execute on DBMS_FGA to scott;
Grant succeeded.
SQL> connect scott/tiger
Connected.
SQL> begin
2 DBMS_FGA.ADD_POLICY(
3 object_schema => 'scott',
4 object_name=>'emp',
5 policy_name => 'mypolicy1',

  • Am unable to unload correct japanese data using ODISqlUnloader tool

    Hi,
    I am unable to unload correct japanese data using ODISqlUnloader tool to my
    local system.
    Database LNS_LANG setting is AL32UTF8 and I can easily see those data in my
    SQLPLUS window but when I unloading those getting error or JUNK characters
    for japanese scripts. which charset should I use for unloading japanese
    characterset properly
    regards,
    Palash

    Hi all,
    Our problem with SqlUnloader where it is unable to unload japanese
    data, So we built a new open tool for unloading data .
    but in our case open tool ojdbc14.jar that we had in driver folder of ODI
    installation jdbc Implementation- Version: "Oracle JDBC Driver version -
    10.1.0.5.0".
    While we changed the same with Specification-Version: "Oracle JDBC Driver
    version - 9.0.2.0.0" it's working well.
    but for this ojdbc14.jar SQLUNLOADER showing java.sql.SQLException: Invalid
    character encountered in: failAL32UTF8Conv as my data base characterset is
    AL32 UTF8.
    Can you people confirm that is this a bug that we can't unload japanese data
    using OdiSqlUnloader or I am doing somthing wrong.
    Note : My opentool is working fine with ojdbc14.jar of version - 9.0.2.0.0 but
    fails for Driver version - 10.1.0.5.0 . to excute the the same I changed the
    ojdbc14.jar present in driver folder of odi installation directory . So will this affect
    any other part of odi excution . My ODI version is 10.1.3.2.0.

  • Scheduling purge signon audit data

    Hi all,
    I have R12.1.3. I want to schedule 'Purge Signon Audit Data' to run once every month. With Purge Signon Audit Data the default date that shows up is the current date; but I want to replace it with current date minus 2 months. It is easy to do that when I run it manually but when scheduling it, the only option I can think of is replacing the value set FND_STANDARD_DATE with custom value set under Audit date parameter. Is there is a better/easier way to do change the default date to current date minus 2 months?
    Thanks,

    Thanks,Schedule the request to run once every month (Re-run Every Month) from two months ago and enable "Increament date parameter each run".
    If your request contains date parameters, you can choose "Increment date parameters each run" to have the value for that parameter be adjusted to match the resubmission interval. For example, if the value for the parameter is 25-JUL-1997 07:00:00 and your interval is monthly, the parameter is adjusted to 25-AUG-1997 07:00:00 for the next submission.

  • Why I am unable to read/write thermocouple data using FIFO

    I like get data using 9213 module. I used example VI for this. And to get the data according to my desired samling rate, I used FIFO.
    The problem is, if I use FIFO, I do not get any data when run the real time VI.
    But, if I like to get data using cluster, then it is OK.
    Also, can you tell me why the error comes when I use FIFO and run the program?
    My sampling desired rate is 1200 sample/sec. I like to acquire data for 30 seconds after the trigger.

    Good Afternoon,
    I would suggest lowering the number of elements into the invoke node in your real time VI.  You only need the number fo samples times the sampling rate for the number of elements input.  Hope this helps!

  • Unable to access the login screen using web browser

    Hi!
    I have recently downloaded the peoplesoft HCM template from edelivery.oracle.com and created two virtual machines namely HCM-DB and PIA-APP. Now both the virtual machines are able to ping to each other but are unable to ping to the Oracle virtual server nor to the base machine on which the Oracle virtual manager is installed. Both the viirtual machine, the oracle vm server and oracle vm manager are in the same network 192.168.1.0.
    Secondly if I am starting the database then the PIA server. Still I am unable to access the login screen using the following url:- http://nsoln.com:8000/ps/signon.html.
    As, I am new to this field, any help would be a great asset for me to resolve the above issue.
    Thanking you..
    Yours Sincerely
    Santosh

    Check the server name in your httpd.conf file
    (ORACLEHOME\Apache\Apache\conf\httpd.conf) and look to see if it is in capital letters. If it is edit it to lower case. Reboot.

    Yes, it failed during insert using AL2.0.1.

    <an identifier> <a double-quoted delimited-idThis suggests to me that an unprintable character (notice how there is nothing between the double quotes - "") has worked its way into your PL/SQL Handler. Note how the error is reported to be a column 74 on line 2, yet line 2 of the above block should only have 58 characters, so at a pure guess somehow there's extra whitespace on line 2, that is confusing the PL/SQL compiler, I suggest re-typing the PL/SQL handler manually and seeing if that cures the problem.

    Hi Guru's,
    i am unable to upload the customer master data using BAPI.(BAPI_CUSTOMER_CREATEFROMDATA1)
    Please guide me how upload the data...
    Thanks in iadvance
    Srinivas...

    Hello Srinivas
    This BAPI does not allow to create a new customer from scratch but only to copy an existing customer to a new one and change its address data.
    The reference customer has to be provided using IMPORTING parameter PI_COPYREFERENCE. See also the BAPI documentation for more details.
    The BAPI does the same like transaction XD01 with Reference.

  • Custom Measure - Unable to Submit Data Using Input Schedule

    We have an application that requires storage of data on a job-to-date basis.  To accommodate this, the application was changed to a YTD application and 3 custom measures were added:
    JTD (base data)
    YTD_JOBS (offsets current period against last month of prior period)
    PERIODIC_JOBS (offsets current period against prior period)
    Everything is working and the measures resolve to the correct values.  The system also completes logic (advanced and dimension) properly.  Data may also be submitted through an Import process.
    However, we are unable to submit data using an input schedule.  We consistently get a "no data to refresh" error message.  When the same schedule is used in the older, periodic version of the application, the submission works as expected.
    I suspect the problem is the naming of the custom measures is the root cause.  I have been unable to find documentation (BPC 5.1M) related to custom measures for 5.1.  Any help resolving this issue and/or tracking down custom measures documentation for v5.1 is much appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Jeff

    Joost,
    I believe what you are describing is the root of the issue.  The application is set to YTD as the data input type both in the web admin section and in the database table.  The problem is that JTD is the input member for this application -- we are loading job-to-date values instead of year-to-date.
    It seems that BPC does not understand JTD as a "base level" measure fort the input method.  I have not been able to find a table in the database that defines PERIODIC and YTD.  My hope was to add JTD to the settings.
    Unless someone else has made something like this work, I suspect that I'll have to use YTD as the ID of the base member and restructure the custom measures.  We did not start this way since the user community thinks in terms of JTD data.

  • Why should we Purge Audit data?

    Hi
    I have read several threads about purging audit details like the one below
    Re: OWB purge audit
    I want to know what are the benefits of purging the audit details.Please tell me how audit details are important and how can they play a role in deciding the performance of OWB.
    Regards
    Vibhuti

    Hi,
    not exactly - you have the same problems in deployment (the control center must also select they right records in growing tables to examine if the deployment was ok) and execution (the package must get the right records of status and bad records).
    But the main problem I have (on my experience) is with the performance of the audit browser.

  • Unable to Connect to the Data Source with Report Builder when using a closed Excel file

    I am using Report Builder 3.0 and to get started I am using an Excel spreadsheet as my data source.  I set this up just fine.  I can connect successfully if the file is open Excel.  But if I close the file, I get the error "Unable to
    Connect to the data source".
    This is my connection string:
    Dsn=Licenses;dbq=C:\USERS\AMEADE\DOCUMENTS\licenses.xlsx;defaultdir=C:\USERS\AMEADE\DOCUMENTS;driverid=790;fil=excel 8.0;maxbuffersize=2048;pagetimeout=5
    Works fine if the file is open but stops working when the file is closed.  Any idea what I can do?

    Hi Alice,
    Based on my understanding, when you keep the Excel file open, you can connect to the data source correctly. But when you close the Excel file, the error “Unable to Connect to the data source” is thrown out.
    In your scenario, I would like to know if only this Excel comes across this issue. Have you experienced the same issue when you use other Excel files as a data source? As we tested in our environment, we can connect to the data source whether the Excel file
    is open. You can refer to this
    article to create a data source again then check if you can connect to the data source when the Excel file is closed.
    If issue persists, I would suggest you use the
    Process Monitor to capture the processes during the connection to the data source. Then check the result of each process to find the exact reason.
    If you have any question, please feel free to ask.
    Best regards,

  • Archiving audit trail using data warehouse builder.

    How do you archive audit trail using data warehouse builder ?
    Can someone please provide any steps in archiving the audit trail table aud$ ?

    Hi.
    Sorry 'bout my ignorance, what is a POC?
    About OWB Installation cenario, it's all up to you. If your target database is a 9i db and you don't want to have a new database instance, then you can place all OWB repositories in this instance. Remember that DB release must be at least 9iR2. For further information, check OWB Installation Guide.
    You'll find all OWB 10g R2 documentation in here:
    http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31080_01/doc/nav/portal_booklist.htm
    OWB client may reside in any client machine or even in the host machine (if it's a windows server).
    If you prefer to have a brand new instance to host OWB Repositories, you must create the runtime rep. in the target database (9i), in order to avoid loading performance issues.
    Hope this helps

  • Unable to load CSV data using APEX Data Load using Firefox/Safari on a MAC

    I have APEX installed on a Windows XP machine connected to an 11g database on the same Windows XP machine.
    While on the windows XP, using IE 7, I am able to successfully load a CSV spreadsheet of data using the APEX Data Load utility.
    However, if I switch to my MacBook Pro running OS X leopard, then login into same APEX machine using Firefox 2 or 3 or Safari 3, then try to upload CSV data, it fails on the "Table Properties" step when it asks you for the name of the new table and then asks you to set table properties, the table properties just never appear (they do appear in IE 7 on Windows XP) and if you try to hit the NEXT button, you get error message: "1 error has occurred. At least one column must be specified to include in new table." and of course, you can't specify the any of the columns because there is nothing under SET TABLE PROPERTIES in the interface.
    I also tried to load data with Firefox 2, Firefox 3 (beta), and Safari 3.1, but get same failed result on all three. If I return to the Windows XP machine and use IE 7.0, Data Load works just fine. I work in an ALL MAC environment, it was difficult to get a windows machine into my workplace, and all my end users will be using MACs. There is no current version of IE for the MAC, so I have to use Firefox or Safari.
    Is there some option in Firefox or Safari that I can turn on so this Data Load feature will work on the MAC?
    Thanks for your help. Any assistance appreciated.
    Tony

    I managed to get this to work by saving the CSV file as Windows CSV (not DOS CSV), which allowed the CSV data to be read by Oracle running on Windows XP. I think the problem had to do with different character sets being used for CSV on MAC versus CSV on Windows. Maybe if I had created my windows XP Oracle database with Unicode as the default character set, I never would have experienced this problem.

    Our program calls some of our own C++ libraries. They have been built into our software and running for well over a year without any trouble.
    A few weeks back, we changed all of our library call nodes from “Run in UI thread” to “Run in any thread”. I have tried changing them all back to “Run in UI thread”. It doesn’t make any difference.
    Any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated!

    I cannot say that it is related to LVOOP, but I have seen this in every LVOOP project I have worked on.  The only way to know would be to write the exact same program as a non-LVOOP version.
    However, I recall seeing this message soon after starting a new project and after creating the initial classes.  I think I sent the small / new project to NI for investigation.
    So...  to answer your question....  it kinda looks that way..
    However, the executables have been solid.  I have not had complaints from the clients about unusual crash at the end of their run.  The software runs tests that can last a week (or more).  There are 3 or 4 different clients have code that use LVOOP.
    The error is not something that I have been able to reproduce...  It just happens.. Mostly when closing the project.  Occasionally when running the code or trying to run the code.  I should pay more attention to the behavior.

  • Analysing Task Audit, Data Audit and Process Flow History

    Hi,
    Internal Audit dept has requested a bunch of information, that we need to compile from Task Audit, Data Audit and Process Flow History logs. We do have all the info available, however not in a format that allows proper "reporting" of log information. What is the best way to handle HFM logs so that we can quickly filter and export required audit information?
    We do have housekeeping in place, so the logs are partial "live" db tables, and partial purged tables that were exported to Excel to archive the historical log info.
    Many Thanks.

    I thought I posted this Friday, but I just noticed I never hit the 'Post Message Button', ha ha.
    This info below will help you translate some of the information in the tables, etc. You could report on it from the Audit tables directly or move them to another appropriate data table for analysis later. The concensus, though I disagree, is that you will suffer performance issues if your audit tables get too big, so you want to move them periodically. You can do this using a scheduled Task, manual process, etc.
    I personally just dump it to another table and report on it from there. As mentioned above, you'll need to translate some of the information as it is not 'human readable' in the database.
    For instance, if I wanted to pull Metadata Load, Rules Load, Member List load, you could run a query like this. (NOTE: strAppName should be equal to the name of your application .... )
    The main tricks to know at least for task audit table are figuring out how to convert times and determing which activity code corresponds to the user friendly name.
    -- Declare working variables --
    declare @dtStartDate as nvarchar(20)
    declare @dtEndDate as nvarchar(20)
    declare @strAppName as nvarchar(20)
    declare @strSQL as nvarchar(4000)
    -- Initialize working variables --
    set @dtStartDate = '1/1/2012'
    set @dtEndDate = '8/31/2012'
    set @strAppName = 'YourAppNameHere'
    --Get Rules Load, Metadata, Member List
    set @strSQL = '
    select sUserName as "User", ''Rules Load'' as Activity, cast(StartTime-2 as smalldatetime) as "Time Start",

            and cast(StartTime-2 as smalldatetime) between ''' + @dtStartDate + ''' and ''' + @dtEndDate + '''
    union all
    select sUserName as "User", ''Metadata Load'' as Activity, cast(StartTime-2 as smalldatetime) as "Time Start",
          cast(EndTime-2 as smalldatetime) as ''Time End'', ServerName, strDescription, strModuleName
       from ' + @strAppName + '_task_audit ta, hsv_activity_users au
