Unable to Resize

Hi, I've made a box in FC and applied the following actions in the timeline.
resize, rotate 3d, resize
The way it is suppose to work in my mind is to shrink, rotate (approimately 180 degrees) and resize back to the original shape size. What happened? The box doesn't resize, but stays the same shape and then rotates. How can I get the box to resize?

Would you be willing to post your project file or some steps to reproduce your problem so that we could take a look at it?

I have been trying to increase my disk space for windows xp on my Imac and I am running parallels 6. before opening windows I go into configure in parallels and open the hard drive and try to move the allotted disk space from 32 gig to 64 or any other increased gig and then apply and I get the error message: resizing failed unable to resize last volume. The file system of this volume might be damaged or not supported. How do I increase the size?? I just also did a disk repair utility with Apple on the Apple side of my IMAC. Please Help!! I had uninstalled SQL server on the windows side and needed to uncompress files to install this and then I ran short on disk space.

This sounds to me that your Parallels XP file system is corrupted and not the OSX file system.
Have you checked the XP file system while running the Parallels XP yet ?
However, it would be better to ask such question in the Parallels Forum http://forum.parallels.com/

• Unable to resize IClock plug-in which extends java.awt.Panel

I am using an ibm IClock plugin(a javabean) on a JToolBar-this is a clock. The javabean consists of a Canvas on a Panel. I am trying to make the two IClocks smaller so that I can fit a panel to show the date and so that the clocks and date panels are the roughly the same size.
I am unable to resize the Panel. I have tried the following:
1- overriding setPreferredSize. Not sure how to write this code- was getting compilation errors when I did this
public setPreferredSize()
return new Dimension(x,x)
2- invoking setSize(x,x) on the Panel
3- invoking setBounds(x,x,x,x) on the Panel
After Steps 2 and 3 I do a system.out.println and the values I set are returned from the Dimension object. However, the size does not change in the GUI.
I think it may have something to do with the way the layout managers work - and whether they decide to take the preferredSize. From what I can see on the forum, this is a hazy area where short of writing your own layout manager you can't control the LayoutManager very much. But I may be completely wrong, and it may be all much simpler than this.
I am tearing my hair out over this! The only option I can think of is to use an IDE and use a tool to resize the componets. This is the last option. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Soraya

Sorry I may have confused you.Actually I understood you perfectly.
The JToolBar does not need to be resized, the IClock
needs to be resized. The IClock is a Panel.
So what I should do is override getPreferredSize() in
class IClock/Panel?That exactly what I meant, and getMaximumSize() too.

• Unable to resize window to fit screen

I am having an issue in which some of the windows from a variety of applications no longer fits on my screen, and I am unable to resize the window because the handle for the window (that I would normally click on and drag to resize) is located in an area of the screen that is not currently visible...
Specifically, when using firefox, if I try to add a new bookmark, the add bookmark window appears and the bottom of the window is off the bottom of the screen (even with the top of that window appearing all the way at the top of the screen. Another instance occurs when using a Photoshop plugin called noiseware, in which the top and bottom of the plugin window appear off the screen, thereby making it impossible to access certain features and functions of the plugin...
I have tried trashing the preferences for each application and for the plugin in hopes that that would help, but it does not...I have also attempted the change the resolution of my monitor, but its alread as large as possible...
Does anyone have any suggestions as to ways in which I can go about resolving this issue? Any help would be sincerly appreciated. Thanks!

• Unable to resize a partition.

Hello everyone
I `ve recently created a new partition on my MacBook Pro running OS X 10.9.4, and that was for install the public Beta of Yosemite, then i decided to delete that partition with Utility disks, then that space now appear gray, but the problem is when i tried to resized the partition dragging the lower right conner above, and then i clic "apply", nothing pass, So i was unable to resized the partition.
Could someone please help me .
here is a picture of UD.

As I suggested on your first post of this topic:
Install Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion Using Internet Recovery
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Internet Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION- R keys until a globe appears on the screen. Wait patiently - 15-20 minutes - until the Recovery main menu appears.
Partition and Format the hard drive:
Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
After DU loads select your newly installed hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion. Mavericks: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks and click on the Install button. Be sure to select the correct drive to use if you have more than one.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
After you have installed OS X you can use Boot Camp Assistant to create a new Boot Camp partition for Windows. Do not attempt to use Disk Utility or Boot Camp Assistant to create a third partition. You can have at most two partitions: OS X and Windows. You created a third partition which you then removed, and that is why this problem arose.

• Mackintosh user - unable to resize screen using pinch

I am unable to use the pinch feature on my Mac to resize the Firefox browser. I read the community blog about another Mac user who experienced the same problem and his solution is beyond my expertise. Nevertheless, I would really like to use Firefox instead of Chrome or Safari because I enjoy the independent community branding of Firefox. However, without the simple ability to use a primary feature of the Apple computer to resize the browser makes it a more unlikely transition. I have never had resizing issues with Chrome -- why is it so with Firefox? And why is it so laborious to accomplish?
Please help. I really want to a sole user of Firefox. Thanks

Hi, I think that works only with safari alone.

• Evilwm unable to resize windows

Hi all. I just recently switched to evilwm. To my knowledge <ALT> + Right Click should allow me to resize windows... but i am unable to do so. I have also tried to right click on the border, nothing. so yeah, does anyone have any suggestions? is there a file where i can modify these key bindings? thx!

In cwm (which is similar to evilwm) it’s alt + middle click. I see the wiki says alt + Button2, which may mean the same thing.
As for editing keybindings, cwm has a config file, but near as I can tell evilwm does not and is not reconfigurable.

• Disk Utility unable to resize drive

Hi,
I have been trying to resize my boot partition so that it fills the remaing space, however Disk Utility won't sucessfully complete the operation. I have tried the following:
Normal boot - in Disk Utility drag the botton right of the partition to fill remaining space and tap apply. Disk Utility reports that operation has completed, however the partition graphic bounces back to it's previous state.
Boot to Lion Recovery HD - Repeating the above steps, Disk Utility reports an error trying to unmount the drive.
Download Lion Recovery Tool and Boot from USB - Repeating the above steps, Disk Utility reports an error trying to unmount the drive.
I have also tried to use iPartition, but have bot been able to resize the drive. I have a Boot Camp partition which is working fine.
Has anyone had a similiar problem?
Mark

Hi,
No I haven't got a solution for this yet - I'm probably going to have to drop and rebuild the boot camp partition.

• Unable to resize Screen Sharing screen

Hi,
I am seeing two issues with Screen Sharing when accessing a desktop Mac from a MacBook Pro with a 20in external monitor attached to the laptop.
Using the Screen Sharing application to remotely control the Mac Pro when I connect the size of the Screen Sharing window varies, most of the time it is small (about half screen width and two thirds screen height) but sometimes it is almost full size on the monitor. The Fit Screen in Window button setting does not seem to affect this.
Furthermore when I try and drag the bottom right hand corner to increase the size of the Screen Sharing window it will not allow the window size to be increased.
In 10.5 Leopard the Screen Sharing app could be configured using defaults but Apple in their, err, wisdom, have disabled them it seems in 10.6 Snow Leopard. So...
(1) Is there any way to make/configure the app to always display a maximized screen size when connecting to a remote Mac?
(2) Why can I not resize the window by dragging the right corner using the standard Mac window resizing mechanism?
Thanks.

Try playing around with the window positioning. There is no definite way to keep a window's size/position, but try playing around with it.
I have dragged the window around but it makes no difference.
(2) Why can I not resize the window by dragging the right corner using the standard Mac window resizing mechanism?
You may not be able to make it bigger, but can you make it smaller?
Yes I can make it smaller but when I drag to make larger again it stops at the original size and you cannot drag further.
I noted that the screen resolution setting in the monitors preference pane of the Mac Pro had been set at 800 x 600 but it was set to 1680 x 1050 (the res of the 20in monitor) so perhaps Screen Sharing does not support that res and it gets reset when you create the connection?

iOS 7: How to reduce screen motion
You can reduce screen motion in iOS 7. iOS 7 uses a parallax effect to create the perception of depth on your Home screen and elsewhere.
To reduce the effect, you can turn on Reduce Motion in Settings > General > Accessibility. When you turn on Reduce Motion, Home screen transitions will fade instead of zoom.
When the parallax effect is on, you may notice the following:
Wallpaper, icons, and alerts shift slightly as you move your phone.
When you set a wallpaper in Settings > Wallpapers & Brightness, the photo or image will be slightly zoomed and can't be scaled to fit the screen.
If you zoom in, you will need to rescale your wallpaper to fit to the screen. You can't rescale certain photo formats, including landscape or square images.

Hello,
I've developed signed swing applet that I want to be able to resize or move its parent frame (the browser). In a case of the appletviewer there is no problem, but when working with the browser the applet's command to the parent frame (IE6) to resize has no effect. Actually, after setting a new size to IE window getSize returns correct (new) dimensions but the window itself remains unchanged.
Do you have any idea how can I make this working ??????

My applet creates a modal dialog - this is the only applet's GUI, and I want to resize browser's window from within the applet, not by the JavaScript code, because I need the browser's window to get resized ONLY AFTER the applet has got loaded and run.
