Unable to see deployed process in Business process workspace

Hello ,
I am using BPM Suite 11gR1 in Oracle Jdeveloper. As using Hello world sample, I deployed the process successfully at weblogic server But i am unable to see the deployed application bpm/workspace (Business Process Workspace).
How can i make sure this? There is no exception in server logs.
thanks

Thanks MSR.
I have other Web Dynpro applications that I have succesfully deployed and they display correctly in the WDP Content Administrator.
The application in question is fine up until the point I activate the changes. So using NWDS I build and deploy the application, and it shows correctly in the Content Administrator. Once I activate the Activity I can no longer see the contents of the DC through the Content Administrator.
So what I see in our development environment is:
+ rd1.com/WorkingOK
+ Applications
+ Components
+ Models
- rd1.com/NotWorking
(The rd1.com/NotWorking node cannot be expanded)
Therefore I can no longer run the NotWorking application or transport it into QA/Production.
I have noticed that in the Development Configurations perspective in NWDS that the DC in question does not have src/packages/ProjectProperties.wdproperties

  • Unable to see deployed component in webdynpro content administrator

    Hi,
I created a DC under sap.com domain in one of the tracks and was able to checkin and activate that deploy that successfully,
When i looked at the deployment log and activation log it says component is successfully deployed.
I looked in the DTR and CBS and I could see the deployed component
But when i look at the deployed components in Webdynpro content administrator under sap.com it is not showing the DC which i created and deployed.
What is the wrong with the deployment
Please let me know what is the solution
Points will be awarded for sure
    Bala

    Hi,
    1. Did you try searching through content administrator->web dynpro->'Search' tab for the relevant object?
    2. It seems that the runtime system you are looking at is configured with the "Disable automatic deployment" option in the CMS. Pls check the status.
    3. If it so, you can start manual deployment as follows:
    a. Start the deployment servlet using http://<CBS_host>:<port>/TCS/Deployer
    b. In the "Buildrequests in queue" list, select the "buildspace name" for which you want to start the deployment and enter this name in the Buildspace field.
    c. Select "Submit".
This will perform the deployment action.

  • Business Process Modelling Language Desirable Features

    Hi All,
It will be quite interesting to see what features the BPX community would want to be in the “Visual” Business Process Modelling *** programming language which on one end use self-contained applications that use Web services as activities that implement business functions and on the other  has interactions with other J2EE like web components .
For example I would like to see something developed by SAP where the Business Process mapping can be done with a strict protocol in ARIES so that applications can be built in the Visual composer and the BPX can visually do the one or more of the following
    1.     On Screen “chain End Chain ” valdiation
    2.     Loop conditions
    3.     Branching conditions
    4.     Variable initialization
    5.     Web service message preparation
The idea being the BPX can generate a running prototype for pattern based processes through grahhical interfaces and unless something really typical needs to be done, the coding can be eliminated.
    Taking an example:
On a simple sales order if the stock is not adequate a purchase order needs to be fired.
The Business process mapping of the same can be done in ARIES where some available components (business objects like sale order) from R3 etc are available for modeling.
If this process is to be web enabled then one can use the business process modeling to develop a quick application in Visual Composer where one can use ESA for Sale Order as a Model and build screens based on that. The screen flow can also be built in Visual Composer to take you to through the various tabs.
The data flow across the various tabs also can be done through the component controller and the BPX should be able to map that visually.
The business event (Stock < Sale order quantity ) can be handled through a branching condition  and web service message preparation to either generate a email message or fire a purchase order (handled in XI and exposed in one common place of the Business Process modeling Tool).
Marilyn : thanks for the offer of acting as a interface between the SAP development team and some of us with the wishlist. I would certainly love to be involved in the epochal development

Why leaving the tool? Why ARIS and VC and CAF and many more different tools?
I would prefer a tool that gives me - depending from the user - different flavors and views of my model. A tool that in one flavor allows me to define the process on a higher level, then in another flavor allows me to implement the application(s) of the process in a non-coding approach and then a flavor that allows me to pimp the application(s) with a coding approach.
All three flavors are working on the very same model. The different flavors immediately see the changes done by other flavors. A kind of realtime modelling.
The tool itself is not necessarily a single-environment approach, but can have one flavor running in the browser, the other one in a locally installed IDE. But still all of them use the same terminology. A data service here ,is a data service there, Business Object here is a Business Object there (and not a bean or a class or entity service etc.). That also would allow to have the different modeling users naturally move between the flavors, with a hard core programmer also being able to move to the Business Process Modeling tool, and the BPX also being able to write a small conversion routine.
Perhaps the proper term is "BP & App Suite", which serves all types of modelers involved: Business Process Modelers, Business Process Experts, Developers.
In the SAP world these tools could be: ARIS, Visual Composer, DevStudio/ABAP Workbench/.NET.
Today this is not the case: we have more than 200 tools (and we say we are not a tools company) and not really an exchange of models between those tools. Not to mention the different terminology...

  • Business Process Repository - installation problem

    Hi,
Please help me with installation of Oracle BPA Suite.
2 days ago I downloaded Oracle BPA Suite from "edelivery.oracle.com" - B46789-01, Oracle Business Process Analysis Suite 10g (10.1.3.4)
Installation set comes in 3 parts and is unpacked into 2 directories -
    CD1-10.1.3.271679
    and CD2-10.1.3.271679
    I started CD1-10.1.3.271679/OracleBPA.exe
    (screenshot - http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/6610/scr1wy9.jpg)
Oracle Business Process Architect installed fine.
Now I would like to install Business Process Repository following to instructions in chapter 3.4.1.1 (steps 2,3,4,...) of installation manual (CD1-10.1.3.271679\Docs\ENU\installation_guide_s.pdf), but I could not find button "Install Oracle Business Process Repository" which is mentioned in step 3 - see screenshot (http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/6610/scr1wy9.jpg).
    Then I started file CD2-10.1.3.271679/bin/demo32.exe
    (screenshot - http://img391.imageshack.us/img391/7439/scr2vp2.jpg)
It seems that the button "Install Oracle Business Process Repository" now is in place but it doesn't respond to click. I could press the button, but installation of repository does not start.
(button "Install Business Process Publisher" works fine)
    What I'm doing wrong?
    Ingars

    Hi,
    Trying running the installer at:
CD2-10.1.3.271679\OracleBPA.exeI don't have installer at this place. The only files/directories I have in CD2-10.1.3.271679 are

2). if the Prerequisite are met and we come to BPMon part how long it would take to implement one Scenario.
3). any document or links or hints for BPMon Best Practice?

    Hi Volker,
This comment was part of document - Business Process Monitoring Set-up and User Guideline for Release ST 4.0 and ST-SER 700_2007_1.
3 Prerequisites for Business Process Monitoring
Business Process Monitoring is not just activated by pressing a button in the SAP Solution Manager and
therefore the configuration of Business Process Monitoring is currently not intended as a customer selfservice.
Instead, the procedure to set up Business Process Monitoring in the SAP Solution Manager is rather
realized by the delivery of the SAP Solution Management Optimization (SMO) Service for Business
Process Management due to the complex nature of the overall configuration of Business Process Monitoring.
However, it is possible (but not recommended) for customers to configure Business Process Monitoring by
themselves without any guidance of SAP.
    Thanks.

  • Using SOAP-JMS binding for business process

    Hi all,
We are currently designing one business process which consume MQ messages. The MQ message body is SOAP XML. SOAP Headers carry business specific important data section, so we don't want to loose these headers at any cost. The message consumer is the Websphere process choreographer business process, reading message as a JMS message. When we develop the business process, we are planning to use SOAP-JMS binding. But problem with SOAP-JMS binding is: when the MDB reads the message off the message queue, it strips off all the SOAP headers and delivers only the SOAP body. Is there a way to make this behaviour change to keep the SOAP headers? You may suggest to use JMS bindings, but JMS binding will send the message body as WSIF message (as a serialized java object). I'm not sure of how easy it is to marshalling/unmarshalling of this serialised object. My main concern is around, how to identify the "type" of the message while marshalling. Would writing our own MDB solve the problem? Again MDB's sends messages as WSIF messages to the business process EJB's, which I guess I get stumble across the same marshal/unmarshall problem. Hope I made myself clear of what i'm going trying to do. Any advice is highly appreciated.

    Hello Markus,
I just paste my answer form the other forum entry Re: Business process management strategy in SAP?
in a nutshell BPM Netweaver is focussing on so called edge-processes (usually
SOA-based and often workflow related). These edge-processes a thought to enhance exisitng core business processes and should provide the fast competitive edge versus competitors. Examples would be also xApps. For this Netweaver provides process modelling tools, where you can get exectuable code through the integration between CE and PI. The monitoring part for these processes is mainly targeting business end-users and business manager.
Business Process Monitoring with Solution Manager focusses on core business processes which are realized with the "conventional", "old" SAP Architecture, e.g. Order-to-Cash or Procure-to-Pay. You get a combination of technical monitors (average response times of transactions, background job runtimes, monitors for IDOC or qRFC processing) and application related monitors (you get more than 200 pre-configured application monitors out-of-the-box like number of overdue customer orders or outbound deliveries or number of deliveries with goods issue posted but no invoice). The target group here is the support organization of the customer, from Basis-Support over application support on IT side to process owner on business department side.
Overview presentations can be found under
    https://service.sap.com/bpm --> Media Library --> Customer Information -->
    "Business Process Monitoring - Part 1 & 2".
    Or look under https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/nw-processmonitoring
In the end BPM Netweaver and BPMon SolMan are complementary for different purposes and different target groups.

  • Help Required IN Business Process Monitoring?

    Hi,
i have few clarifications reg BPM in solution Mangager
1.What is monitored in BPM,Business Process interfaces or the business Process data( at does t monitors at data level)?
2.if interfaces are monitored in Solman BPM,how different it is from Netweaver Business process management.?
3.if possible can anyone brief out what XI process monitoring is and how is it different from SOLMAN BPM?
    helpful answers rewareded
    rgds,
    rajesh

    Hello Rajesh,
please refer to https://service.sap.com/bpm --> Media Library --> Customer Information --> "Business Process & Interface Monitoring - Part 2" to get a comprehensiver overview about what is available out-of-the-box for BPMon in SolMan.
BPMon in SolMan and BPM in Netweaver adress different target groups and can be seen a complementary functionalities.
BPMon in SolMan is primarily targeting at the 2nd level application support and should ensure a stable and smooth processing of Business Processes from a technical as well as application perspective. The processes have a granularity down on transaction or background job level.
Technical monitoring could be average response time of a transaction or a job cancellation.
Application monitoirng is providing about the throughput numbers of documents like sales orders, deliveries or backlog figures indicating that there are erronuous documents or documents that need manual intervention. Looking at this last aspect it is clear that a second target group is key players on business unit side, like sales reposnibles, plant owners etc.
On interface side you can monitor IDocs, qRFCs, Batch Input session for certain statuses, check if files arrived or do some XI messaged based alerting.
BPM in Netweaver is a technical layer deeper and based especially on XI/PI. So this is an integration engine itself. When you look at the capabilities of XI/PI where you can split or correlate messages with ccBPM this is related to so called integration processes which could be a more detailed sub-process from what is looked at BPMon in SolMan. Other aspects that BPM in Netweaver is supports is Business Activity Monitoring BAM which cannot easily explained with  a few sentences. But here the target groups with BAM are either real business end-users or C-level management for business efficiency analysis.
Hope this answer could clarify a few things.

In solution manager till EHP1 it is not possible to meet what is ur requirement but you can do the following as an alternative
    Project
    Master Data
    Organization Structure
Business Scenario Std Selected from BPR e.g Service Desk
    Business Process std
    Business Process Step Std
Business Scenario Non Std Directly entered the name of scenario in Structure tab e.g any Zscenario

  • Who gives the list that contains which business process is to be implemente

    hi ,good morning to all
    i have a question
that is how a solution consultant comes to know that which business process/which business process step is to be implemented in particular scenario? (for eg nw ep)

The Business process represents the various activities [processes] involved in attaining a business goal.
    For example,in a procurement scenerio,
1] The goal is procurement. In system we have to map this thro'Transaction code/s.
2] This [ procurement] process involve various activities such as [a] getting indent from the user dept <b> getting financial approval [specific /standing] [c] floating the tender /RFPs etc [d] getting the quote from the vendors [e]finalizing the vendor [f] placing the purchase order [g] recieving and inspecting the goods <i> pay the vendor.
Like this, for every scenerio/process we have the relevant  activities.
Before SAP implementation the client performs the Business process Re Engineering [BPR] and correctly defines the various process/s and the relevant activities. Before implementation the cosultant performs a detailed discussion with the user group and obtains process flow chart and other relevant details. Thus the detail_ gathering is a culmination of interactive discussions with the client, the info.being provided by the client by means of standard documents,flow-charts etc,the experience and judgenment of the consultant.
This gives an idea about the whole scenerio.
Having known this,we can map in to the system using a T/code[relevant to each activity-say automatic paymentT/code.F110] and interpret the whole process in terms of T-codes.
The users test this using unit test and the integration test [ MM-FI interface using Account determination, for example] and verifies if the process has been mapped in full and correctly. The test once passed shows that you have configured adequately Vis A Vis the business requirements.
This is how the process in full is understood [by the consultant] and mapped in to SAP.
    Hope this helps.

    Ramesh.

  • Business Process - Sales Process through Distribution point but revenue booked to Manufacturing Profit Center

    Dear Expats
Our company now planning to decentralized the sales by introducing Sales distribution Point.
We have three manufacturing plant and every manufacturing plant are individual profit center.
    Material is same.
Now company is planning to introducing sales distribution point.
Goods transfer from three manufacturing plant to sales distribution point and sale from the distribution point.
Now our requirement is - revenue will be booked to every manufacturing profit center.
How can we process this business process.
Note : We don't want to create separate material code - manufacturing plant wise.

    Tarek H Chy

    Hi
    I have the issue like..
    1.  For each line item of the sales order check, whether the profit center is filled or not, if it is not filled then determine the profit center and populate.
    2. If material of the line item is "sub component code" of a material that is "Offering component code", then compare the profit centers of line item with the profit center maintained for the material that is offering component code.  If the profit centers are different, replace the sales order line item profit center with the profit center of the offering component code material.
    3.  Above activities should happen when the sales order is saved.
can somebody tell me which user exit ?? where coding can be dine.
