Unable to select jms destination in the jms adapter configuration

hi,
I am trying to use JMS queues for consuming messages but after creating the JMS queues(destination) in the application server, i am unable to find the destination while configuring the jms adapter in jdeveloper.
any help would be appreciated

i am using soa 10g. are you saying there is an option for starting the jms server in the application sever or do i have to create a seprate jms erver for creating the jms server etc.
it will be really helpful if you can explain the how to create/start jms server,jms queue etc or provide link to any article that is available. also please note that i am using SOA 10g

Thank you, the step where I went to tools, options and then selected a product for the application worked. It was a problem with .pdf files. I don't understand how all of a sudden it changed from what had worked all along, but, I changed it back from xps viewer to adobe and all is working fine.

Starup disk was unable to select install cd as the startup disk

I was in 10.3, crashed. Had to restore (saving my things). I updated up to 9.2.2. Put in my 10.2 cd to install and I get a message...
"start up disk was unable to select install cd as the startup disk."
As far as I know I did all the updates, but could be wrong.
Anyone have an idea how I fix the problem?

Tammie, please excuse my confusion, but you say you were in 10.3 (Panther) and it crashed. You say you updated to 9.2.2, then you say you put in 10.2 (Jaguar) cd to Install. At the bottom in your profile you show you are running 10.4 Tiger.
So I am confused which Operating System do you want. Your machine will not run all 4 Operating Systems at once.
To Install from a CD or DVD you Insert the Media and restart your computer holding down the C key for it to boot.
Also bear in mind that If you are not using a Full retail version of the Operating System, or the Operating System that came with your computer it will not work, if it came from another computer. Operating Systems that come with specifc computers will not mix and match with other computers.
Please tell us exactly what operating system you want to use.

Captivate 5 - Audio Editing - Unable to Select a Portion of the Audio

I need to edit the audio on each slide - specifically cut out long pauses - but I'm unable to select a portion of the audio. I can right click and Select All but that's not what I need.
Any ideas what's wrong?

Double click the audio waveform in the slide to open the Slide Audio dialog. You should be on the Edit tab. Select a section of dead space in the waveform and hit Delete.

How to set Priority of JMS message in the Receiver adapter

Hi,
How can I set the priority of message going to MQ in the receiver JMS adapter. I tried to set a value in the JMS message Priroty field. But it is not working.
In the receiving queue manager the default priority of the queue which receives data is set to 0.
Can anyone suggest how to get this done.

If I am not wrong You are referring to article Queues for Prioritized Message. But this is about how to Prioritize message inside XI.
What I am intresetd in is to set a message priority (for example "2")for the message going to MQ. That is when the message reached the detination queue the priority of this message should be 2 in the queue.

Unable to select different destination folder - Bridge CS3 or LR 3

When I go to save edited photos to a different folder location in Bridge Cam Raw or LR I can't see any other folder location than the Desktop (PC) or some of the program file folders none of my hard drives or network drives are showing. However, my hard drives and network drives show on the folders panel in both Bridge and LR.
I found a discussion related to this from 2012, but there didn't appear to be a solution then:

Anyone have any suggestions? Both applications, although old, are fully up-to-date.

I have tried saving XML files with Tiffs and the only way I have been able to get Bridge to see the metadata changes from LR's develop module is to export the file to PS or Bridge. On export the file becomes flattened so you do not have the access to any previous layers made in PS. Also once exported from LR, you are unable to see the files history log (LR) as to the changes made in LR that had been previously written to the metadata. And of course the flattened PS element so you have no way to back track in edits if you chose to do so.

Producing message to temporary JMS destination

Has anyone managed to produce a message to a temporary JMS destination using the JMS Adapter? I'm trying to get this request/reply-pattern working:
-Java client connects to a Connection Factory and creates a temporary reply queue (works, CF returns a destination like "TestingJmsServer!TestingJmsServer.TemporaryQueue2")
-The client produces a message with JMSReplyTo pointing to the temporary reply queue (works)
-JMS Adapter consumes the message and assigns jca.jms.JMSDestinationName := jca.jms.JMSReplyTo (works)
-The JMS adapter should now produce the reply message to the provided temporary queue, but it always fails with error BEA-045101:
The destination name passed to createTopic or createQueue "destName" is invalid. If the destination name does not contain a "/" character then it must be the name of a distributed destination that is available in the cluster to which the client is attached. If it does contain a "/" character then the string before the "/" must be the name of a JMSServer or a ".". The string after the "/" is the name of a the desired destination. If the "./" version of the string is used then any destination with the given name on the local WLS server will be returned.
The same problem occurs with fixed queues, like "TestingJmsModule!ReplyQueue", but I can make them work by adding a "./" in front of the destination name when performing the jca.jms.JMSDestinationName assign, so that it reads "./TestingJmsModule!ReplyQueue". After that the adapter is able to produce the message correctly to the given JMSDestinationName.
Is it significant that with fixed queues I get a destination like "JmsModule!FixedQueueName" (note the module) but with temporary destinations it is like "JmsServer!TempQueueName" (note the server)?
Should the destination name be of some other format? The current value is exactly what the Connection Factory returns, and if the JMS adapter is replaced with another java client, producing the reply message to that destination works just fine.

I am trying to send messages to the WLS queue through Camel and facing the same issue, which can be eliminated by using queue name as ./<QUEUE_NAME>.
However it only eliminates the error and the next one comes is real pain. It is not able to find the JNDI name of the queue, where as I am able to see it in Admin console JNDI tree.

You are accessing the runtime mbean of a JMS destination. The JNID name of a destination is not available on the runtime destination MBean.
If you are using jms-system-resource to deploy your JMS module, you should be able to access the deployment mbean of the destination. The starting MBean for JMS is JMSSystemResourceMBean in this case.

MDB cannot connect to JMS destination using Foreign Server

PS. I'm able to connect to the weblogic jndi, get connectionFactory echoQueueConnectionFactory, then lookup queue and grab messages so that's i suspect there is something wrong with configuration

Hmm - I'm not sure what's going on. Two thoughts --
Thought 1 - According to my (admittedly minimal) research, Tibco is complaining about a syntax error in the lookup name. Perhaps the problem has something to do with your use of a "." in the queue name "jmsxcg.out": WL or Tibco JNDI might be interpreting the "." as a subcontext or some-such. Perhaps try renaming the queue to "jmsxcg_out" throughout (in Tibco and in your Foreign JMS reference).
Thought 2 - It probably won't make a difference, but you might want try specifying the source destination via the "destinationJndiName" config property instead of via "mappedName".

Browse jms destinations on managed servers (from admin server)

I need to browse JMS destinations from the admin server (in a WebLogic
9.2 console extension) that are only deployed on the managed servers.
I can get destination attributes via the domain runtime server, but
no JNDI or actually browse the destinations. All destinations in
which I am interested are queues.
I know I can change my initial context, but if that is the way to go, is there a way to determine the managed
servers' URLs at runtime?

MBeanHome is deprecated as of 9.0, so I was unable to directly use your example. You have helped though, thank you.
As of now I am querying the domain runtime server for:
ObjectName("com.bea:*,Type=ServerRuntime")
I am then iterating through the returned Set to get the server URLs and then setting my InitialContext with a PROVIDER_URL of the managed servers. This allows me to Look Up a Destination without JNDI based on step 4 from [url http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs92/jms/implement.html#wp1313933]here. I can then browse as needed.
The ugly part is that if I include the Admin URL in my PROVIDER_URL then it does not work, so I am checking for it as I loop through the set of ServerRuntimes and not including it.
Further though slightly less annoying is that the managed server URLs include "t3://" but if I leave it in there, a malformed URL exception is thrown when setting the PROVIDER_URL. So I also remove all of those and then preppend one on the front for PROVIDER_URL as I actually need.
It is not pretty, but it is working on the only cluster I have been able to try thus far.
If anyone was a cleaner suggestion, please share.

JMX Removing JMS Destination

Am using the following:
JMSServerMBean to get a list of JMS Destinations and trying to call

However when I shutdown weblogic and bring it back up the destinations
are still there.. Is there a way to programatically remove destinations
via mbeans
that works. I am aware that I have to use JMSHelper to add them
otherwise
they dont get written to the config file??
BTW the documentation for this stinks.

Actually, when you register the destination in the JMS Connector Service, you are also creating an entry in the JNDI Registry of the Web AS, which you can use to look up the destination in your application. Furthermore, using a resource environment reference (relevant for J2EE applications), you can define an arbitrary lookup name for the destination, so the physical one does remain hidden. JMS destination and queue in jndi.properties

I am using activemq to create a very simple jms application.
But there is a point I have not understand.The administered connection factory object that I use is org.activemq.jndi.ActiveMQInitialContextFactory which is the ActiveMq specific object. Do I have to do the same with the destination object?I read that Destination is also an administered object so I have to use an object of the ActiveMq? Specifically in the jndi properties where I define the queue property the value must be:
1.an activeMq object
2.a java class that implements the javax.jsm.Queue interface
3.a physical name of another server?
and in the code where I look up the destination object
Destination destination = (Destination) jndiContext.lookup(queueProp);What exactly will be the queueProp? I would appreciate an example

there was an exception that was saying that the port was already used.So I do not understand why in the one case opening broker is necessary for the connection and on the other hand it causes a problem.
Moreover in the case that I invoke broker from bin folder. In this case I would like to ask a question.The activemq.xml is necessary? If yes it is there where we define the queue?
If not where else apart from the jndi.properties do we define queue?
Please if is possible provide me with an example of the necessary places that we define a queue.
