Unable to send structure data type as import parameter in RFC

I have one RFC to web service scenario. My sending RFC is as follows:
FUNCTION ZIXI_001_EMP_DET.
""Local Interface:
*"  IMPORTING
*"     VALUE(EMP_DET) TYPE  ZIXI_EMP
*"     VALUE(OFFER_DT) TYPE  ZXI_OFFER_DATA
ENDFUNCTION.
Here ZIXI_EMP is a structure with following details:
EMP_ID     INT4     INT4     10     0     Natural Number
NAME     STRING128     CHAR     128     0     128 Lowercase and Uppercase Letters
SAL     INT4     INT4     10     0     Natural Number
and ZXI_OFFER_DATA is another structure with following details:
REQ_ID     STRING128     CHAR     128     0     128 Lowercase and Uppercase Letters
PRICE     STRING128     CHAR     128     0     128 Lowercase and Uppercase Letters
QTY     STRING128     CHAR     128     0     128 Lowercase and Uppercase Letters
After configuring everything in IR and ID, I called the RFC from R3 system with following data:
EMP_DET:
       EMP_ID                                15
       NAME                               XYZ
       SAL                                5.000
OFFER_DT:
       REQ_ID                           A235
       PRICE                              50
       QTY                                3
but when I am checking in sxmb_moni, payload only containing first field of each structure. i.e.,
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
- <rfc:ZIXI_001_EMP_DET xmlns:rfc="urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions">
- <EMP_DET>
  <EMP_ID>15</EMP_ID>
  <NAME />
  <SAL>0</SAL>
  </EMP_DET>
- <OFFER_DT>
  <REQ_ID>A235</REQ_ID>
  <PRICE />
  <QTY />
  </OFFER_DT>
  </rfc:ZIXI_001_EMP_DET>
Why this is happening I don't know. is there any constraint with SAP XI 3.0 that we can not pass values using structure?...
Or any configuration needs to be done?
Please help....

Guess I got it... U should define the structure as Tables parameter and not as Import Parameter...
should be like
FUNCTION ZIXI_001_EMP_DET.
""Local Interface:
*" TABLES
*" EMP_DET STRUCTURE ZIXI_EMP
*" OFFER_DT STRUCTURE ZXI_OFFER_DATA
ENDFUNCTION.

  • Table type in import parameter in rfc function module

Hi we don't have the table type in our system which exist in the other system which is the import parameter of the rfc function module.so how can we pass the parameter. shell we create the same table type in our system also.it is a table type for a deep structure.

    Hello,
I donot have access to CRM box I cannot view the FM. You can verify with the CRM counterpart what exactly is the TYPE for param DATA.
Else you can define a generic internal table (TYPE TABLE) & try calling the FM.

    Hi Rafi,
We are also facing similar kind of issue.
When i select type of leave as annual it is giving an error message as
" Parameter  missing in call of method BUILD_ACTOR_SELECT_CLAUSE in class CA_PT_REQ_ACTOR "
But when i select some other leave type and click review it is working fine, again if i click on previous step and change the leave type to annual it is working fine without giving any error message.
Please let us know how you have solved your issue?

  • 'unable to send print data' on HP Laserjet 1536dnf MFP

    Hi there,
I'm running an iMac with OSX 10.6.8. Via an USB cable I have attached a HP Laserjet 1536dnf MFP to the iMac.
I also use this printer to print via wifi (i.e. through the iMac) with my MacBook Pro (with OSX 10.7.3).
Suddenly today the printer stopped working via my MacBook Pro. I get an error message: 'unable to send print data'.
I have checked my antivirus etc., but that does not appear to be the problem. I have also updated the firmware of the printer, without success.
Can somebody help me out? Is the OS difference the problem? But until today that hasn't been a problem.
Thank you very much! Regards, Luc.

    Hi jemenake
I understand you lost connection with the network for the Laserjet 1536 through ethernet connection.
Disconnect the routers power cable, wait 10 seconds, then reconnect the power cable. Wait till it's ready. The router might not be finding the printer on the network.
If this doesn't resolve the issue continue to the next steps.
Print a  configuration report from the  LaserJet 1536dnf.
Press the Setup button, (the one with the wrench on it)
reports, press OK, Config Report, press OK.
Check to see if the ip address is valid.
If you have a valid ip address then delete and add the printer on the mac, the driver might have become corrupted.
    Delete printer on mac.
Click on the Apple, click System & Preferences, then click the Print & Scan icon (on some systems this may be displayed as Print & Fax),highlight your printer name and click the  button on the bottom left corner of the screen.
    Add printer on the mac.
Click on the Apple, click System & Preferences, and then click the Print & Scan icon (on some systems this may be displayed as Print & Fax),click add a printer, then select the printer from the list, make sure the printer listed beside use or print: shows proper printer name and not airprint, (airprint is a preinstalled apple driver with basic funtionality if on 10.8) add it in.
If the ip address is not valid please let me know.
Please click “Accept as Solution ” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
Click the “Kudos Thumbs Up" on the right to say “Thanks” for helping!

  • Prob creating a new structured data type

I am trying to create a new structured data type to see it in data type diagram. When i try to right click on structured data type in DATA TYPES, i cant see any option like new structured data type etc. But this is working for distinct as well collection data types but not for structured.
By default, we are getting SDO_geometry structured data type for every model. We can change its name but cant create a new structured data type from there also.
What should i do to create a structured data type in data modeler.

The right click on Structured Types does not open a menu on my Data Modeler either.
To create a Structured Type, click View on the main menu for the Data Modeler. Then click View Details -> Datatype.
In the Browser (called Navigator in other Oracle products), right click Datatype Model -> Show. This will show the DataTypes diagrammer.
Click on the New Structured Type button on the menu bar, then click anywhere on the DataTypes diagrammer, the Structured Type Properties window opens.
Enter all the details in the Structured Type Properties window to create your data type. Click Ok when finished. Your object type will be represented by a "blue" box on the diagram.

  • Datamodeler: Structure Data Type

I am working on a design with many entities having common (audit-related) attributes applicable to all of them. I am thinking of defining a Structured Data Type which will be used in all of them. While it is easy to create new Distinct & Collection Data Types by right-clicking on their nodes, it appears there is a bug in creating a new Structured Data Type using the same method. Is there any workaround for this?
    Thanks,
    Chiedu

    Hi Chiedu,
you need to make "Data Types" diagram visible in order to be able to create structured types - use Show from pop-up menu on "data types" node.
Structured types are created only on diagram in current release.
    Best regards,
    Philip
I see there is short description of Data types model in help.

  • Data Type - XSD IMPORT

    Hi friends,
I need a new DATA TYPE .The structure is just like a bapi structure. I would not like to write everything by hand.
I would like to import XSD of bapi.
    It is possible?
    if yes, how then?

    Hi,
    Hey just checked,
If you Import the RFC and then open the Request and Response, then in the menu on the right side,
Select TOOLS-->EXPORT XSD. This XSD then can be made as External defination and then you can use it as MT for mapping.
Is this what you need or am I just missing the point.

  • Using Complex Data Types in Import JavaBean Model

    Hi,
I have searched and read forums and weblogs related to import javabean model.
But I am not clear about how to use complex data types like ArrayList, Collection etc in my java bean.
If I use these complex datatypes in my bean, when creating model in WDF it displays the Complex data elements in Model Relation. I dont know how to use this model relation in my WD project.
Anyone please explain the<b> step by step solution</b> about using complex data type(used in Bean) in WD Project.

  • ROWID - data type export import

    Hi all,
I have a table which has a column of datatype ROWID. Size of the table is 5GB. When I try to export it takes 40 mins for this table. While importing it takes 7hrs to complete.
I feel it is taking more time than it is supoposed to. Is it because of the ROWID data type. Is it doing something extra, can someone throw some ilight on this.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Jaggyam

No it will not be because of the ROWID column data type.
    Probably because of:
    - creation of indexes on the table.
    - creation of constraints (PK/UK/FK/CHECK) on the table.
These actions take time, and do not happen when you export a table.
    Btw:
Are you aware that the rowid values in that particular column will (very likely, depends a bit on your case) have been rendered un-usable after the import?

  • How to change data type of input parameter

    Hi
In my procedure i declared the data type of "Value Date" Input parameter as Date where as in CR it is showing data type as "Date Time". Can any one please specify how to change to Date.
While prompting for input parameter in description it is showing message as
Please enter Date time in format"yyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss" . To change the content selected "format field" option. But is there any way to change input parameter data type.
    Please suggest how to change.
    Thanks Sruthi

    Hi Sruthi,
all you need to do on this is open the report go to the parameters, select the parameter that you wish to change and click "Edit". This will allow you to change thefield to a date rather than a date time.

  • How to call user define data type as data type for concurrent parameter

    Hi All,
i find some difficulty while creating the concurrent program.
    i.e.
i have one of the parameter of table type i.e. user define data type at PLSql program
now i need to register same PLSQL program into oracle applications as concurrent program
but while i am creating Parameters for concurrent program
How could i define that user define data type at database level in oracle applications using 'Value set' ?
any one save me from this Problem
    thanks and Regards,
    sai krishna@cavaya.

Don't think this can be done..
One way I can think of is to wrap your PL/SQL program under another procedure/package that can accept "normal" parameter, and use/register this wrapper instead of your original pl/sql program.
