Unable to store data into the Table(R/3)
Dear All,
our requirment is to store few records into the Table in R/3.
We have update RFC which takes input arguments as AbstractList , the following is the code used to store data in the table(R/3)
Zhr_Update input = new Zhr_Update();
AbstractList list= new Zhr_Aprsl_Crs.Zhr_Aprsl_Crs_List();
for(in i=0;i<wdContext.DvelpmntCodes().size();i++)
crs= new Zhr_Aprsl_Crs();
crs.setcid(wdContext.DvelpmntCodes().getDvelpmntCodesElementAt(i).getcode(i));
crs.setDesp(wdContext.DvelpmntCodes().getDvelpmntCodesElementAt(i).getcodDesp(i));
crs.setYear(wdContext.DvelpmntCodes().getDvelpmntCodesElementAt(i).getcodeYear(i));
list.add(crs);;
input.setcrs_chr_data(list);
wdContext.Zhr_Update_Input().bind(input);
wdContext.nodeZhr_Update_Input().currentZhr_Update_InputElement().modelObject().execute();
The RFC is executing sucessfully without errors but data is not stored in the R/3 table
Thanks,
vijay.

Hi,
Use the following code to fix the issue
for(in i=0;i<wdContext.DvelpmntCodes().size();i++)
crs= new Zhr_Aprsl_Crs();
crs.setcid(wdContext.DvelpmntCodes().getDvelpmntCodesElementAt(i).getcode(i));
crs.setDesp(wdContext.DvelpmntCodes().getDvelpmntCodesElementAt(i).getcodDesp(i));
crs.setYear(wdContext.DvelpmntCodes().getDvelpmntCodesElementAt(i).getcodeYear(i));
input.addcrs_Obj_data(crs);
wdContext.nodeZhr_Update_Input().moveNext();
wdContext.Zhr_Update_Input().bind(input);

INSERTION OF XML DATA INTO THE TABLE USING XMLDOM
hello,
i am using XMLDOM to insert the data into the table
i am using different function of it.
but i am facing the problem to retrive the the multiple entry.
like in my example i have two entry of the ' po number '
& i am using the function
dbms_xmldom.item(l_nodelist, 0)
i which i have to pass index no.
& through this i am getting only single entry according to the index no.
Example on which i am working is
declare
l_xml_data CLOB;
l_xml_doc dbms_xmldom.domdocument;
l_nodelist dbms_xmldom.DOMNodeList;
l_node dbms_xmldom.domnode;
l_xmltype XMLTYPE;
l_po_num VARCHAR2(30);
l_cust_ord VARCHAR2(30);
l_item_code VARCHAR2(30);
begin
l_xml_data := '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

I can't insert my data into the table - help please
Hello everyone,
I have a trouble about JSP. I'm using Java2 SDK,JSP 1.2,Mysql and TOMCAT.
I want to do this. A user has to enter the nicno,into the html form(EnterNicInter.jsp),to verify if it is already exist or not. If it is exist in the db, an error msg(Record already exist) must be displayed. If not, then the page "InterviewForm.jsp" displayed. This part is working.
But, I can't save these details into the db by clicking submit button int the InterviewForm.jsp.
I wrote a javaBean for this task. Here is it.

I use JSP 1.2 , mySQL with TOMCAT. My table name is Candidate.It's fields are as follows:
Candidate(nicNo,title,fName,civilStatus,tele,eduQua)
Can anybody tell me whats going on, help me to solve this please.
Thanks.you should try something different, since you are mixing up a lot of code.
1) create a separate method just to connect and disconnect from a database;
2) use the value entered and see if you can find a record in the table. If the record is there, then you should re-direct your jsp to a jspError, else goes to another form.
the code below give you some idea
if( sAction.equals("Add1") ) {
sITEM = request.getParameter("parameter1");
try {
itemmaster.connect();
itemmaster.viewitemmaster( sITEM );
rs = itemmaster.getRs();
if( rs.next() ) {
sURL = "additemmaster1.jsp";
else {
request.setAttribute( "asITEM", sITEM );
sURL = "additemmaster2.jsp";
finally {
rs.close();
itemmaster.disconnect();

ORA-1013 when trying to insert data into the table
Hi,
While inserting record into a table, we are getting the following error:
ORA-1013
01013, 00000, "user requested cancel of current operation"
I could not find any information in alert log also.
We have a bitmap index on this table. However, we never got this error till now.
Also i found that the tablespace who stores data has lot of space and tablespace which consists of the indexes is close to 90% full today ( i dont know what was the space available yesterday when there was error).
I know that information i provided might be very less, but i gave as much information as i can provide.
Can you please help me in trouble shooting this problem.
Thank you
GiridharSorry. i forgot to give version information
Oracle version: Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.3.0
OS: SunOS 5.10
we got it only once yesterday. only for one table. not for any other tables.
Thanks aalap for your quick response.

Hi,
I've a document which has a doctype that points to a URL. When I try to insert this document in the table (xmltype column), I am getting the following errors:
ORA-31011: XML parsing failed
ORA-19202: Error occurred in XML processing
LPX-00263: couldn't connect to host URL port 80

Can someone please suggest how should I resolve this issue?
Thanks in advance for all your help.Hi,
Have you just added a new field or you have adjusted the dimensions of the cube along with that. Any change in dimension or change in structure you need to delete the data and reload.

Hi,
I thought of putting my question in the forum. The question is, when we are doing some changes in the forms applications in oracle apps and save the data, is there anyway that i can know to how many and which tables the data is getting saved to?? Because, in OAFramework, its simple as the goes to the VO and we can check the VO query to know the tables but what about the forms??
I know the Examine feature but is there any other way to find the exacty tables where the data is going to get saved??
Thanks and have a nice weekend.Prasanna, I checked. To explain you in brief, i changed some phone number and preferred name values in a new custom page i created and i also enabled the trace before making changes to the data.
Now when i checked the file i see the below information but i don't see any information related to the phone numbers,per_phones or per_all_people_f tables.

Uploading spreadsheet data into the database
Hi
I want to upload the spreadsheet data into the database through front end...I dont have any idea how to do upload without using the 'utilities' option..Can anyone please help me to do this?
Thanks in advance
FazilaHi
I refered the example sent by vikas...but i could not understand..I dont need to specify table name in runtime...my requirement is that I will have the constant table(say MD look up table)...and I will have some data under the column heading( say repid,split name)...
Now I want to import my spreadsheet data which are under the heading repid and split name through my front end application and I have the option whether to 'overwrite' the records or 'append' the new records...after clicking the necessary option..I want to import my spread sheet data into the table defined already...and my another requirement is that I want to check the duplication of data between the spreadsheet and table...If I find the duplicates, I have to omit it and store the remaing details....
Please give me some guidelines to solve this problem....
Thanks in advance

I am loading data into a table I created which includes a column "Description" with a data type VARCHAR2(1000). When I go to load the data which is less than 1000 characters I receive the following error message:
Record 38: Rejected - Error on table SSW_INPUTS, column DESCRIPTION.
Field in data file exceeds maximum length
I have increased the size of the column but that does not seem to fix the error. Does anyone know what this error means? Another thought is that I have created the "Description" column to large...which can't be true because I should receive the error when I create the table. Plus I already inputted data into a similar table with similar data and had no problems!
Someone please help...
Thank you,
April.Note that I'm assuming Oracle8(i) behavior. Oracle9 may treat Unicode differently.
Are you inserting Unicode data into the table? Declaring a variable as varchar2(1000) indicates that Oracle should reserve 1000 bytes for data. If you're inserting UTF-8 encoded data, each character may take up to 3 bytes to store. Thus, 334 characters of data could theoretically overflow a varchar2(1000) variable.
Note that UTF-8 is designed so that the most commonly used characters are stored in 1 byte, less commonly used characters are stored in 2 bytes, and the remainder is stored in 3 bytes. On average, this will require less space than the more familiar UCS-2 encoding which stores every character as 2 bytes of data.

How to input data into a table with columns?
I am trying to input data into a table. My table have 5 columns and an unlimited amount of rows. I created a program in LabView that enters the data into the table but it enters all of the data in one row. I would like to enter the first set of information into the first column, the second set of info into the second column and so on. I am including a copy of the program that I am working with. I would like the number of runs to be put into the first column (it should count down like number 5 in first row, number 4 in second row, number 3 in third row, and so on). I would like the applied voltage to be placed in the second column, and so on. Any help or information will be greatly appreciated. I am working with LabView Version 6.1 and 8.0. I am submitting the vi from 6.1.

I looked at your code and I think you might be making things too complicated. I've included a very simple example that demonstrates how to write a 2D array of integers to a table. Hope you find this helpful. It is in LV 7.1.

Data in the table changes when multiple users try to submit data
I have a dynamic table. The table is created in the wdDoModifyView. The user can load data into the table from an excel file. So I have a "Load" button that loads the data from the selected excel file to the table. I also have a "Submit" button. This "Submit" button converts the data to an xml file and make a call to an oracle stored procedure for validation check. If there's an error it will be returned and displayed to the user. If none, a summary of data for posting will be displayed to the user. If the data is correct and the user hit the ok button, the same data will be return to oracle sp for loading in the table.
The problem we encountered is when multiple users are loading and submitting at the same time, the data displayed in the dynamic tables changes after clicking the ok button. It is as if, the table displays the data being loaded by other user.
This is an error that is difficult to recreate. This doesn't happen all the time. I hope you somebody could enlighten me why this is happening. I'm not sure if it has something to do with multithreading or session.
Edited by: Marlyn Agco on Apr 14, 2009 3:57 PMHi Armin,
Did you mean storing view instances in static references and accessing them outside the wdDoModifyView is not a good idea? In wdDoInit the nodes are dynamically created according to the xml file being returned by the database. This node is stored in a static variable which is also used in wdDoModifyView to create the dynamic table.
What do you suggest? We're still encountering same issue when multiple users are uploading data. -
Error while inserting data into a table.
Hi All,
I created a table.While inserting data into the table i am getting an error.Its telling "Create data Processing Function Module".Can any one help me regarding this?
Thanx in advance
anirudhHi Anirudh,
Seems there is already an entry in the Table with the same Primary Key.
INSERT Statement will give short dump if you try to insert data with same key.
Why dont you use MODIFY statement to achieve the same.
Reward points if this Helps.
