Unable to update database using a remote bean call

We have a system, in which one of the EJBs (say, local EJB) in one
system remotely call an ejb (say, remote EJB) on another system. The
problem is the that the remote EJB is unable to database with any
changes when its method was invoked by the local EJB.
We first call a set method which is supposed to update the DB. Then we
call the get method which returns the recently updated value. However
the data is not stored in the DB. The get method seems to retrieve the
data from the cache. There is no exception thrown.
However there is no issue with the remote EJB. If we call the method
locally, it DOES update the database. I dont know if it has to do
anything with the java security policy defined. We use Weblogic 6.1
SP3.
We have a release in another 2 days and any help on this will be
appreciated.

The Readonly error got resolved.
But still the following error is displayed when I am loading data thru load rule.
To Brief you up, I had done a database corrupt check using validate command because of the following error. The information map asks you to do the same since the other parameters are in the affirmative ie sufficient disk space, not using addsin, File is present.
*Unable to Read Information From [C:\Hyperion\essbase\app\SMC\PL\PL-BS-LD.rul]*
Unexpected Essbase error 1019003
I used the VALIDATE <error.txt> command and found that the database is not corrupt.
I also used the export command to see if everything goes well. That also works well.
Note: I do not have any data in the Cube. I had cleared all data.

Resolution to error - Unable to update Database Statistics

OK, If there's one thing i hate most about SAP, its the dreaded installation, I am always so paranoid, as to something will definitely go wrong,
Lately i realized that it aint my mind , but the damn installation itself is pretty damn stupid. Why cant SAP leave the installation packaging to professionals like installshield...
Unfortunately SAP doesnt think of it as a better idea, so until then lets try to resolve as many errors as possible thru these forums..
Here's one error resolution ,i am pretty sure, many are checking for..
Use the following procedure to resolve error
<b>Warning - "loading of sql client library oci.dll failed"
Error - Unable to update Database Statistics, Check BRCONNECT.log</b>
The problem seems to be with the SAP Patch Collection InstallMaster disc Material No.(<b>51032143_13</b>).
To resolve the problem, here's what needs to be done,
1)Install DB Instance as usual.Then after the installation errors out due to loading of sql
client library oci.dll ..
2)I unsar the downloaded DBATOOLS.sar (Thanks for the Link Andreaz!!!)
log into sapnet (eg. service.sap.com) with your user-id/pwd:
-> downloads -> support packages and patches -> entry by application group -> additional
components -> sap kernel -> now chose either 32 or 64 bit; either unicode or non-unicode ->
sap kernel 6.40 -> windows server -> oracle -> download the package DBATOOLS Package for
Oracle 9.2.x ... brconnect is part of that package...
3)Copy the files in the Unsar'd package, as follows
     overwrite br*.exe to S:\usr\sap\R31\SYS\exe\run
     overwrite initSID.sap to S:\usr\sap\R31\SYS\exe\run &
S:\usr\sap\R31\SYS\exe\nuc\NTI386
     overwrite libsbt.dll to S:\usr\sap\R31\SYS\exe\run &
S:\usr\sap\R31\SYS\exe\nuc\NTI386
     overwrite sapdba_role.sql to S:\usr\sap\R31\SYS\exe\run &
S:\usr\sap\R31\SYS\exe\nuc\NTI386
4) Retry the installation again & Guess what!! it works....
Warning-: I initially tried a shortcut by replacing DBATOOLS.sar on the installmaster disc, rather than following above steps, but that doesnt seem to work, the installation fails as as soon as Tablespace creation starts. So the shortcut aint a good one..

Has somebody set the database ready for archiving, maybe some maxl has been run and the db has not been returned from read only mode.
Try running the following Maxl (change app.db to match your app/db)
alter database app.db end archive;

Updating Acrobat using Apple Remote Desktop

I'm pretty sure I already asked this yet I can't find the post so I need to ask again.
I need to update Adobe Acrobat 9 and Adobe Reader 9 remotely - without having to touch every Macintosh the software resides on. I would like to create a cumulative package and install updates using Apple Remote Desktop. I have looked at the Enterprise Deployment software and documentation, yet I don't use Adobe Creative Suite - I only use Adobe Acrobat 9 and Adobe Reader 9.
I have users with varying versions of Adobe Acrobat 9 and Adobe Reader 9, so downloading one version update won't work. What I need is a cumulative updater containing updates from 9.0 through 9.4 for both products that can be deployed via Apple Remote Desktop.
Is this possible and if so, how?

We have the same problem. We can mass desploy CS5 with a package made with the Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition application. But Acrobat is not supported by AAMEE. Making my own package based on the information on http://www.osxdeployment.info/wiki/CS5_Repackaging_Guide doesn't work for us.
We have more than 300 Macs and it's impossible to do the installation manually.
Adobe should provide a standard pkg for Acrobat Professional 9.3 (part of CS5 DP & WP Suite).

How long did it take for yours to work again? Mine started acting up yesterday and it *****. I can't download apps, and I can't update. My screen doesn't go blank, I can see the updates. But when I click the update button it does NOTHING. Same thing when I try to download stuff! But for some reason, I can download songs! Anyone else have this problem? I tried turning off my phone, restarting it, and even changing the time on my phone. Nothing worked... HELP!

Unable to import database using impdp via network_link

Dear All,
I am trying to import database from remote location's dump to my local database after creating dblink from local db to remote db.
At Remote Server:
- Directory created and granted the privileges. Dir Name: PREMLIVE_EXPDP
At Local server:
Username: expuser with dba, imp and exp full database privileges.
DB Link name: to_premiatest14
I faced an error of directory invalid when I run the below command in local server to import schema from remote database.

HT204053 I had to create an Apple ID to open a cloud account. For some time prior to this, I had an account for my iPod. Today I was unable to update apps using the old password. My Apple ID will not do it either. ???

I had to create an Apple ID to open a cloud account some time ago. For some time prior to this, I had an account for my iPod. Today I did a sync and was notified of two app updates, but was unable to use my old password and was notified to use my Apple ID. However, when I log in with my Apple ID, the store tells me that I do not own the apps.
How can I get this system to update my iPod apps.

Certainly not happy with this situation, as Apple expects me to pay for help on this.

1. Don't confuse "Apple ID" with iTunes Account ID. You can have many Apple IDs but only one iTunes account active at a time.
2. If you "changed" your iTunes account ID, you actually have 2 accounts - one under the old name plus the new name.
3. You can't merge the accounts - they remain separate. Apps purcahsed under the old account name will update ONLY WHEN THE PHONE IS SIGNED IN TO THE OLD ACCOUNT NAME and visa versa.
4. Likewise, you can sync only the apps, music, media purchased under the account the phone AND iTunes are signed in to.

IPod Touch will not update when using iTunes Remote App...

Hi all, hoping that someone can help here...
I am using a couple of iPod Touch's to control my iTunes and Airport via the Remote App. In the main the whole thing works really well with wireless music all over the house via Airport and Apple TV.
The main frustration is that the Touch's have stopped updating as the tracks change. This used to work but unfortunately didn't notice when it stopped.
If I play anything, iTunes DJ, playlist etc... it appears that the first track is the one that displays unless I close the app and re-open.
I can still play/pause/ffwd/rwd and it all works despite what is showing on the screens which is really confusing...
The the two iPhone 4's and the iPad 2 work perfectly so am at a loss as to figure out how/why etc.
I run iTunes on a WinXP machine, with iTunes 10.2.1.1 and the iPod Touch's are both running 4.2.1 (8C148). On is model MB533BT and one is MB528BT.
Any help/suggestions greatfully appreciated.

UPDATE:
Whilst I was typing this I noticed that whilst in the study both iPods updated with each track change for some considerable time. I do wonder whether there is something in this as the router was less than one metre away.
I also then noticed that the one that stopped updating was the 8Gb model MB528BT. The other unit, the 32Gb MB533BT has continued to work.
Completely flummoxed with this!

Update Database using Materialized Views

I have a need to update the database across the firewall (on a partner network). Are there any issues/problems with this approach like performance, security,etc. I do not want to use dblinks.

Materialized views generally don't work too well without a database link between the machines-- in fact, they don't work at all. Oracle replication is built around the assumption that the databases involved can communicate with each other.

I am using the TestStand Schema and a MYSQL datababse.
I have added a new table the MYSQL database that comes with TestStand. I am using the database tools to insert some local variable results into this table.
I also add the start date and time to this table, using

I am trying to use the Schemato update the a colum with the parent ID, so I have it set up as a foreign key. I can get this to work when I use hardcode the the date/time in the SQP statement.
Example:
"UPDATE UUT_CTO_DATA SET ID=? ,UUT_RESULT=? where START_DATE_TIME='2009-03-20 15:13:24'"However I would like to change this so the SQL statement using the TestSTand Variables to figure out which is the current record to update...Is this possible..All help is greatly appreciated.

I need some clarification on the issue and your progress. In the first poast you had said "I can get this to work when I use hardcode the the date/time in the SQP statement." When you hardcode the date and time, does it update the ID & UUT_RESULT columns for all devices in a bath?
When I hardcode the update SQL statement with a specific date, Example: "UPDATE UUT_CTO_DATA SET ID=? ,UUT_RESULT=? where START_DATE_TIME= '2009-03-24 10:31:13'" , it will update the ID & UUT_RESULT columns for all devices in a batch, (I manually delete it from the MYSQL database after each device in the batch to confirm it updates on subsquent runs)
So do you think it now looks like my original SQL statement is somehow incorrect for all bar the first device in the batch?
I did try the following:
Created a StationGlobal called Test.
Assigned it as follows, to ensure it matches the database record format ('2009-03-24 10:31:13')

Update database using check boxes

I have a query region that produces a checkbox and an associated line with the checkbox. The data in the database that is a "Y", produces a checked box.

What I need to happen is to change one or more check boxes. I have a MultiRow Update process, with a process point of On Submit - After Computations and Validations with a PL/SQL conditional processing of:
FOR I in 1.. HTMLDB_APPLICATION.F_F01.COUNT LOOP
update table check_box_tbl set is_it_checked = Y
where check_box_seq = htmldb_item.application.g_f01(i);
END LOOP;
But the data in the database does not change. I have read numerous discussion on this thread but I have not found exactly what I need or can not recognize it.
How can I get the data in the database to change when I either change a checked box or after I have changed all boxes and then press the SUBMIT.

I am having a similar problem that I cannot find the answer to. (See my process below). I don't think that the process is "grabbing" the checked values in the SDN column. It is using NULL, so therefore no rows are being inserted in the table. Shg_id and SDN are both primary keys in this table, so I need to insert both. Shg_id has an assigned value already.
My process is this:

Unable to updata database (i/p schedule)

Hi Friends,
I created one input schedule(accts in rows & calmonths in cols) for sending set of few records to database.
I used send data->send active worksheet option. system prompting with message "Empty cache or old data; click Refresh to retrieve data". After click "OK" in that, system prompts one more message "There is no data to refresh".
I also tried to send records using another option "send and refresh option" on menu bar, for that case also i received above two messages. I trired with different options in "work book options" i.e Referesh options like
Refresh workbook on worksheet update
Refresh workbook on workbook open
Refresh after data send
Expand on workbook open
Expand on CV change
EvDRE: Refresh by sheet
what are preferred above options to check, when it is an input schedule?
what are preferred above options to check, when it is a report?
while doing above operations(sending/retriving/expanding based on memberset), i'm getting one message "EvDRE encountered an error retriving data from web server" and on that showing time in seconds information.
Could anyone suggest different settings for above.

The 6 options which are available:
Refresh workbook on worksheet update
Refresh workbook on workbook open
Refresh after data send
Expand on workbook open
Expand on CV change
EvDRE: Refresh by sheet
By default, the first 2 options will be selected. The 3rd option doesnt hold good in the reports; since you are not going to send any values from the reports. This can be used in the ip schedules.
You can select the 4th and the 5th options if you want the EVDRE function to be expanded again after opening the workbook or after changing the CV. You can definitely select the 4th option. However, my recommendation would be not to select 5th option. This will slow down the performance a bit. Because, everytime you change the CV, it is going to expand the functions in your template.
The last option is for refreshing the sheet (instead of the entire workbook). This is not very important.

Not necessary. UPDATE can be asynch as well.
Can you turn the trace on like pointed by Michal and then you can see the Query in the Audit Log of the adapter montioring. Try to execute the same query from your DB Client like TOAD and see what is the Syntax error you are getiing.!
The problem looks like some field has some dataype / column name mismatch.
