Unable to Upload Adobe Reader Upgrade 8.1.1

I have tried unsuccessfully several times to upload and install Adobe Reader 8.1.1. I can initiate the installation, but it always indicates it was an unsuccessful effort. Why?

The System Requirements (link) don't actually list Mac OS X 10.4.11, 10.5.0 or 10.5.1 so I wonder if there is a problem with the very latest versions of OS X.
You should be able to open PDFs just fine in Preview.

  • Unable to upload adobe reader!!!!!

I am to the stage of burnout with trying all the suggestions listed via computer help pages without any success. it is impossible to get the adobe reader to load and all i get is a notice showing how many times it has been tried to be put on the hard drive. the other thing that is very, very, frustrating is i can not remove any of the notices showing that adobe did not load. i have used a vast number of follow the direction web pages with no success.  being put back onto another web page showing me to do the same procedure again and again is more than i can bare at this time. what language do you use, what operating system and on and on and on and on without success. i have uploaded avast antivirus and even disabled this to follow directions for uploading adobe reader. what the hell is going on with your products???????????

What is your operating system?  What exactly are you trying to do?  What do you mean by "load" or "upload"?

  • Unable to download the latest Adobe Reader upgrade?

Every time I attempt to download the latest version of Adobe Reader I never receive a RUN command.  My modem appears busy, but nothing happens?

    Mandeep5062,
Thanks for the quick reply.  I tried to download but got an error message that this FTP file cannot be downloaded via Internet Explorer.

  • How do I upload Adobe Reader 9, Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, and other tools with the Pro onto my new computer?

Since I am already a customer of Adobe, I need to know how to upload Adobe Reader 9, Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, and the other tools that go with both programs onto my new Windows 7 HP computer without having to fill out a new customer form or without having to pay for another Adobe membership as a new member?  I need to know what to do step-by-step so that I can upload my Adobe reader 9, Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, and the other tools for the Reader and the Acrobat XI Pro.
You may send the step-by-step instructions to my e-mail address of [email address removed by host].
         Thank you!

I have been trying to start my subscription again for my Acrobat XI Pro and for the annual subscription of the PDF Export for Word and Excel.  The PDF Export expired according to my subscription list, but, I think that I had cancelled my Acrobat XI Pro of $ 29.99 monthly, so, I am wanting to presubscribe for it again, but, when I try to put my Code in for my Debit Card, it will not register with your company.
So, I do not know what to do to get it back again with my monthly and annually subscription payments for PDF Export and for Acrobat XI Pro.  I have already downloaded the Adobe Reader XI onto my computer so I am set for that product.  I just do not know what to do about the PDF Export and the Acrobat XI Pro to be able to get them started once again.

  • Unable to uninstall adobe reader 8.16 on windows xp

I wanted to uninstal adobe reader 8 after finding I could use adobe reader 9, I uninstalled adobe reader and ended up having to restore my system after a server problem with the new software putting adobe 8 back. I tried to uninstall it again after switching off the machine for a while for the serer to recover, I still cant uninstall 8 even after installing adobe reader 9.

I tried on the day to navigate the adobe site on dial up, adobe should cater to people on a budget if they are going to service us with a free reader. Personally I would prefer another program to decode a pdf document that does just that - without all the other stuff I will never use. Today I found I may be able to uninstall adobe 8 by running kb404307, I couldn't even find a download page for the fix. Once again I got frustrated with my pc and adobe.

  • Error message: Your trial has expired. Unable to use adobe reader to open PDF's.

I have reinstalled the reader several times and keep getting the same error message. My CS6 is working fine.

Does the error actually say "Unable to use Adobe Reader..."?
If not, it could be that you have the trial version of Acrobat installed and were using it to open PDF's instead of Reader (Reader doesn't have a trial)?
If so, you can change your file associations to open PDF's with Reader (how to do this varies by your OS) or install Reader.

I can use Adobe Reader on some documents but not all.  I believe I have downloaded the correct software.  I am using Firefox on a Mac with 10.8.4
    Can anyone help?

Are these scanned documents?  If scanned documents have not been OCR-ed, then they are just images without any searchable text.
Try if you can highlight any text in such documents.

  • Unable to get Adobe Reader to open.

I am unable to get Adobe Reader to open. I am on Windows XP, SP3 and I have tried with Adobe Reader 9, 10, and 11. When I try opening a PDF file, if I look in the Task Manager, the AcroRd32.exe process will appear, however nothing shows up under the Applications tab.

OK, I got my Adobe Reader working. The solution for me was found on the "Acrobat failed to load its Core DLL--can't open pdf files as a result<http://forums.adobe.com/thread/391917?tstart=0>" thread. It was post 51 on the thread by envsafety and it involved downloading and running

  • Unable to uninstall adobe reader 9.5.1 - CPSID_83708

I am unable to uninstall Adobe Reader 9.5.1 - CPSID_83708 - I am fearful it is malware as the support refers to goadobe.com.  Can you provide any help.  I am having all kinds of printing problems.

Try running the Acrobat and Reader Cleanup Tool:
    http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
and then download the full Reader installer from
    http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
After downloading, restart your computer and run the installer before doing anything else.
