Unable to upload metadata during package creation?

Hi,
I'm creating a package with multiple apps and versions, as I have done many times prior, but upon completion of the build it states that the packager was unable to upload metadata to the server. I tried editing the package, rebooting and editing the package but nothing changed. Still unable to upload the metadata. What does that mean and how can I fix it?
Using CCPLauncher and serial number license for enterprise

I am having the same problem with the latest CCPLauncher and serial number license for enterprise, the system I am running it on is Mac OS 10.10.3. Also, I have noticed that the newest CCPLauncher has RemoteUpdateManager version 1.7.0.25, build version 1.6, with a build date of 09/02/2014. However an older CCPLauncher I had a RemoteUpdateManager version 3.2.0.1, build version 3.2, with a build date of 07/10/2013.
So the newer CCPLauncher has a lower version number, a lower build version, but a newer build date, but says it does not support "AdobeDigitalPublishingCC2014 app".
The older CCPLauncher has a higher version number, a higher build version, but an older date and updated the "AdobeDigitalPublishingCC2014 app".
Anyone know what the heck this is about? Not sure which one to deploy.

PI 7.1 Ent Svc Builder - Unable to Upload Metadata for SeeBurger

I arttempt to follow the SeeBurger instructions to upload metadata into PI, but when I try I get the following error.
Software component SEEBURGER_EDI_ADAPTER 7.1 of seeburger cannot be changed. You are not permitted to create new objects.
Right-Click on Namespace, New -> Adapter Objects -> Adapter Metadata -> Name =Split997 -> click create button (and the error above is displayed).
I am able to do this successfully in PI 7.0 with the same authorizations.
What am I missing?

My two cents are:
Please check the version of the seeburger adapter , the version 1.8 is for XI 3.0 and 7.0 whereas for PI 7.1 seeburger has launched a suite of version 2.0 adapters.
This is the reason why you can import content into old version of Xi and not in the new one.

Unable to read metadata during the process or Slow?

I am trying to write metadata to hundreds of files at a time. I need to me able to write and read back the updated metadata in the same process.Say like add the last name to the photo title then append the first name to the title. Each piece of data is another operation that can be set to overwrite or append to a certain field.
The problem is when I enclose the entire operation inside a withWriteAccessDo block. In this case if I overwrite that title field with the last name and thend in the next operation I try to append the first name. The problem is that it does not get the updated metadata in the title field, it returns the orginal value!
I can fix it by putting the withWriteAccessDo block inside the operation for loop so during each operations it uses a new withWriteAccessDo block. This way the updated metadata can be read back for the append correctly. The problem with this meathod is that it takes a very long time! like hours! before in Lightroom 2 this whole operation would take place in under 30 seconds and now it takes and hour!
So here is some pusdocode
1 does not get old data correctly
withWriteAccessDo
     For each operation
          if overwite
               write data to field
          else if append
               get current filed data
               concat old data with data to be added
               write new data
          end
     loop
end withWriteAccessDo
2 works but takes a long time
For each operation
     withWriteAccessDo

Anything that I am doing wrong?

Lightrooom has been extensively reworked under the hood as far as catalog writes go.
Before: writes just wrote.
Now: All writes are accumulated in a transaction but are not committed (and hence not accessible) until exiting the with-write gate. And,
complete undo info is saved for every write.
So, what I do for effiiciency is either:
1) Make "to-do" functions
2) Save "to-do" info.
Then, call all these "to-do" functions, or process all this saved "to-do" info in a single write-gate, or in a succession of dependent write-gates.

Patch 8424662 incorporates an entry in contextManagedObjects.xml that points to a class com.splwg.base.domain.common.masterConfiguration but this class is not yet present in spl-base.jar file. Patch 8711158 should be installed, since it contains this class.

Unable to enter Recon.account during vendor creation

In accounting information accounting i'm unable to enter Recon.acct (160000). Why is that and what will be the effect??

The reconciliation account (LFB1-AKONT) field is controlled via trans OBD3 (account group) / trans OB23 (field status group) customizing. It appears that the field status customizing must be display. Please perform the following steps:
1) Run trans OB23.
2) Double click on Change Vendor (Accounting) -> Company code data-> Account management.
3) Change reconciliation account to change. Click on Save.
4) Run trans FK02 using desired vendor / company code. Click on Accounting info. Press Enter. Reconciliation account field should be available to enter, i.e., change mode.

Oracle.adf.controller.activity.ActivityLogicException: ADFC-02013: Unable to get metadata for activity

I am new to ADF, I am trying to learn how to navigate from one page to another, the code that I have is simple, but it is not working, I specified the control flow rules in the adfc-config.xml and I even tried to specify the navigation rules in the faces-config.xml file, but it doesn't matter if I do it in one configuration file or another I get the same error. This is my first time working with ADF, I don't have formal training, just some video tutorial that I have seen on internet. I have previous experience with JSF, so I feel more comfortable writing the code for my program than using all the graphical tools (at least at this moment)
Any help to solve this problem will be highly appreciated.

User, tell us your jdev version, please!
What is your goal?
What you have find had nothing to do with ADF. If you ent to learn adf then I recommend to work through find of the tutorials available on the jdev home page.
If adf is not your goal, you might want to use Trinidad and ask your question in their forum.
You might not like the declarative approach adf uses, but if you want to learn how to use adf, you have to understand how ADF works. Most can be done using java, but one you understand the framework you see the advantage.

Issue during automatic Creation of Work Order from Notification

I have a issue during automatic Creation of Work Order from Notification.
BADI implemented: NOTIF_EVENT_POST
BAPI called in BADI: BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN
I am able to create Work Order successfully but after that i need to update notification header with created work order number.
But i am unable to update the same (VIQMEL-AUFNR).
Can anybody provide solution for the same!

Cannot find the maps stored in import manager during port creation

Hi All,
I am unable to find any maps that i saved in import manager during port creation ,the maps are not showing in dropdown list during port creation in console.Do i need to store the maps that i have in import manager in specific place under mdm server,so that i can see them during port creation.
All i need to do is assign my import map during inbound port creation,but i cannot find any maps in console.
Could I know whether i am storing my maps some where other than default location.

Hi Aravind,
First of all check the remote system assigned to ur Port. After that go to import manager. When u logon to the import manager, u get a window "Connect to source". Mention the same remote system over there.Select the file type.Browse the file and map the fields,values,field matching and save the map. then unload the repo and assign the map to the port.
Second way is, u create the port first and give any particular remote system to it. Put the file (u want to use for mapping) in the ready folder of that port and in connect to source window select the type as port, remote system(ame as used port port) and port.then map and save. unload the repo and assign the map to port. Ready folder will be in ur server at location: C drive or D drive->SAP MDM 5.5 ->server->distributions->repo name->inbound->port code->ready. For this option, Ur port type should be manual. After assigning the map u can change it to automatic or keep it manual as per ur requirement.

Unable to Upload Workbooks

I am currently unable to upload any workbooks to my SMA instance. The error above is all I get.

As Johannes mentioned, talk to your Basis group about transporting roles through the environments. If you have the roles created, go to your Dev environment and publish the workbook into it. The workbook itself doesn't need to be re-transported, but the role will need to be.
If you have permissions, you can use the transaction PFCG to pull the role up and then modify things under the Menu tab.

Rebooted the DP and when it came back up WDS wouldnt start. i removed PXE Service Point and removed WDS Role, re-installed WDS role and PXE Service Point.
WDS started ok since then i am unable to add/remove boot images to the distribution point stuck with Removal Retrying or Install retrying.
Error Message ID - 2302
distmgr.log - Cannot establish connection to ["Display=\\GRPSCCMDP01\"]MSWNET:["SMS_SITE=NEC"]\\GRPSCCMDP01\
Any help will be much appreciated.

Server 1 (GRPSCCMMP01) - SCCM Management Point is our Primary Site
Server 2 (GRPSCCMDP01) - SCCM Distribution Point
The NetApp Share is the Source Directory for our SCCM Packages.
Basically Everything was working fine up until wednesday when our SQL DBA started to receive SQL errors:
DESCRIPTION: SSPI handshake failed with error code 0x8009030c, state 14 while establishing a connection with integrated security; the connection has been closed. Reason: AcceptSecurityContext
failed. The Windows error code indicates the cause of failure. [CLIENT: 10.130.17.72].
followed by..
Login failed. The login is from an untrusted domain and cannot be used with Windows authentication. [CLIENT: 10.130.17.72]
I rebooted the Distribution Point Wednesday night to see if that would resolve the SQL errors. When I checked the server Thursday morning I noticed the WDS (Windows Deployment Service) was in a stopped state. I tried to start the service and it wouldn’t
start.
Rebooted server again – still the same
Removed the PXE Service Point from the SCCM DP and removed the WDS role, rebooted server and then re-added them again.
WDS successfully started.
Since then we are unable to upload packages to the SCCM DP
Error ID – 2302 - SMS Distribution Manager failed to process package.
Packages are in a constant “install retrying” state.
I have checked the distmgr.log and it states the following:
Cannot establish connection to ["Display=\\GRPSCCMDP01\"]MSWNET:["SMS_SITE=NEC"]

User Exit/ Badi for Changing Quant parameters during TO Creation

Hi Gurus,
Could you please guide me to advice the User Exit/Badi which can be used for changing Quant Data during TO Creation.
User Requirement: Using "Recepient Field" in MIGO as a Key Value for FIFO in WM during goods issue. Receipient is copied into TR and TO (Standard SAP Functionality). For the purpose of Stock Removal based on Receipient Value, we need to copy this value into Quant Data field named Certificate Number ("LQUA-ZEUGN").
I will highly appreciate reply from Gurus.

Use the Exit MWMTO001 for this purpose and modify the table accordingly. This will solve your problem.

Unable to upload the PAR from NWDS

Hi ,
I am unable to upload the par from NWDS as it is throwing the error "Unable to upload"
I have done the proxy settings in NWDS.
can any one tell me is there any other settings i have to do in NWDS.

Hi Ajay,
Have you copied the NWDS installed stuff from other system and working on that?
Anyway, you can go about this way to upload your par.
Goto System Administration -> Support -> portal runtime -> Administration console -> Browse and add your par -> say upload. Thats it and your par is uploaded:-).

XLS upload via HSODBC. Unable to upload numeric (float) fields

I wrote a program unit with Oracle Forms Builder 10g to upload and read an Excel sheet.
I created a HSODBC Data link to my DB, and used Excel 2003 to edit the XLS file to upload, and WEBUTIL_FILE_TRANSFER.CLIENT_TO_AS(client_dir_file,'\\server\dir\myfile.xls') to upload.
My DBLink works and Im able to upload the file. But it seems oracle is unable to upload some fields containing numeric (float) values.
running DESCRIBE Sheet1$@hsodbc; I got this table structure
UPLOAD_DATE          DATE
NUMBER VARCHAR2(32512 CHAR)
CODE VARCHAR2(32512 CHAR)
DESCR          VARCHAR2(32512 CHAR)
SIMILARS FLOAT(49)
WIDTH VARCHAR2(32512 CHAR)
HEIGHT VARCHAR2(32512 CHAR)
HIGH      VARCHAR2(32512 CHAR)
ITEMS      FLOAT(49)
fields SIMILARS, WIDTH, HEIGHT, HIGH, ITEMS contain numeric values in float format (ex: 1,00000). When I run
SELECT * FROM SHEET1$@HSODBC
I get that WIDTH, HEIGHT, HIGH columns are EMPTY (contain NULL values), while SIMILARS and ITEMS contains not null values.
I am sure that the \\server\dir\myfile.xls contains not null values for WIDTH, HEIGHT, HIGH fields! I tried to change cells format before upload, setting them to FLOAT, but I got no results!
Please help me, how can I do to change cell format in order to obtain a correct upload?

there is a mistake in the subject. As I said in my thread, the upload works and the uploaded file contains all values. My problem is that I am "unable to READ" the numeric values stored in VARCHAR2 fields.
