Undeploying a deployment deployed as a library - DBAdapter.rar
I mistakenly deployed DBAdapter.rar as a library rather than an application. It is not listed on the Deployment page and so I cannot
see it to delete it. How can I undeploy it please.
I found the tick box that showed the library so now all ok.

Access to uup ejb deployed in a shared library

Accessing jsp deployed as a shared Library
Hi All,
I have an ear file which is deployed as a shared Library in my Portal Web Project. Now I am trying to access a login.jsp which is in the Ear file. I created a pageflow portlet, with the pageflow pointing the login.jsp, it doesnt work ( irony is that there is no exception/message being displayed on the server).
Now when I use a browser portlet with the contentURI pointing to that Login.jsp, then everything works fine. Also if I create a normal jsp, and redirect it to the Login.jsp it still works fine; but if I directly forward the request to Login.jsp, I get an IllegalStateException.
Can any one explain the reasons for these??
Any input on this would be appreciated.
Thanks,
GOK, it probably really is a packaging problem then. Maybe your JSP pages being used by the pageflow are not in a directory structure that matches the package structure of the pageflow controller? I tried to find a reference for this requirement in the apache netui beehive docs, but couldn't find it at first glance:
http://beehive.apache.org/
I did find a mention in the Oracle WebLogic Portal docs, "The package and WebContent folders for a given page flow must always match." at:
http://edocs.bea.com/wlw/docs103/guide/webapplications/netui/tutorial/tutWebAppStep2.html#1
So... if you have a com.my.company.foo.MyController.java in your src tree then in your web root dir you would have com/my/company/foo/login.jsp, etc. -

I'm trying to create a mandatory policy to roll out to users however I can't get the Control Panel to read the System Level deployment.properties in the location given by the documentation -
/etc/.java/deployment/deployment.properties
containing - deployment.system.config=/path/to/deployment.properties (world readable)
deployment.system.config.mandatory=true
To test I've set the contents of
/path/to/deployment.properties
to include - deployment.trace.locked=true
deployment.log.locked=true
as well as the defaults.
However if I fire up ControlPanel as a standard user I don't see either of the log checkboxes ticked - even if I removed the local user's ~/.java
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I've also tried deployment.trace=true / deployment.trace.locked etc but that doesn't work either.
It's the standard Oracle JRE I'm using,
Any comments appreciated!
Thank you.
CThese is a problem with 7u17 and 7u21 for all users on all platforms. You can read more about it here (http://www.labareweb.com/java-1-7-auto-update-deployment-with-sccmmdt/) and here (https://blogs.oracle.com/security/entry/maintaining_the_security_worthiness_of) is the lead developer of Oracle admitted (at the end) that the enterprise tools for JRE is broken. It seems we're at their mercy at the moment.

How to undeploy business rules deployed in Planning
I am unable to undeploy test business rules deployed on Production. Deleting from calculation manager leaves BR in planning.. is there in any other option??
Try this http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/cmgr_admin/ch07s03s01.html
"To remove a business rule or ruleset from an application after you deploy the business rule or ruleset, make it ineligible for deployment by clearing the check box next to its name in the Deployment View. Then you can perform a full deployment of the application by right-clicking it and selecting Deploy."
As you've already deleted rule from Calc manager try to create empty rules with the same name (if first full deployment wouldn't help)

Help undeploying an incorrectly deployed application
Hi,
I deployed a J2EE application to my Application Server PE 8.2 from Net Beans IDE.
Even tough all seemed to be ok, after viewing the server log I found out that the deployment didn't complete successfully because of a timeout error.
Since then, after loggin into the Admin Console, I get the following exception:
A "com.sun.enterprise.tools.guiframework.exception.FrameworkError" was caught. The message from the exception: "Unable to get View for ViewDescriptor 'enterpriseApplications'"
The root cause is
"com.sun.enterprise.admin.common.exception.MBeanConfigException: Component not registered"
error when I use Admin Console .
I'd need some help on how to undeploy the failing application, as I've been unable to do it using either asadmin or deploytool (I get the error "Component is not registered").
Thanks in advanceKedar, I managed to solve the problem through a plain asadmin undeploy. Once undeployed the application, all seems to work well.
However, I'm still interested in knowing what could cause the problem.
This is what the server log says about the deployment of the application(j2eesampleapp is the application I tried to deploy - it consists of an entity bean and a EJB web service):

How can I build an application that deploys my shared variable library?
I have a VI that I want to build into an application and put on a non-development machine. I am using a shared variable which obviously is contained in a library. In the VI itself I can deploy the library by specifying a path. Is there a way to build the application so that the library is deployed automatically when the .exe launches? I want to get away from having the end user to have to know where the library is and set the path correctly.
Hi Troy,
Sorry, but I think I missundersood you.
I think you have to deploy the library programmaticaly by using the Application Control functions (OpenAppRef, InvokeNode)
I didn't test this but the following picture shows how to start:

New SCDPM 2012 Deployment Scenario and tape Library Sharing.
Folks
I am having one SCDPM 2012 SP1 on Server 2008 R2 with one tape library. I am going to build another second DPM on Server 2012 and I want to share the same library which is on first DPM.
Before I build second DPM server I want to make some doubts clear so it does't create issues later.
Both DPM will be physical.
I am reading technet link to share tape ibrary : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh758124.aspx
And My queries are:
1) The tape library must be in a storage area network (SAN) environment.
>The tape Hewlett Packard LTO Ultrium-5 drive I have is attched to first DPM server through SCSI array.Dont know if it is SAN supported.
2) We recommend that the system configuration of the library server computer and all library client computers be as similar as possible, and that you do not configure any protection groups on the library server.
>As I have attached library to my first DPM server which is having 22 Protection groups with 562 datasources. Can it be promoted as a Library server? If not then what is solution for this.
3)All DPM servers using a shared library must use a similar SQL Server setup for hosting DPM databases. You cannot have some DPM servers using local instance and others using a remote instance.
>My first DPM is hosting its Database on its own (local) So should I setup SQL on second DPM localy?
4)SQL accounts should be DOMAIN accounts? On the technet link it is showing SQL failover cluster, where does it require? As image showing it is required between library clients but I will have one library server and one library client, will I needed SQL CLuster?
This was related to Tape, now other queries I have if second DPM and tape sharing deployed successfully.
1) First DPM has reached LDM records occupancy 79% and I have identified non-colocated datasources/Protection groups which are occupying larger amount of LDM. I will move/recreate these protected groups on 2nd DPM with COLOCATION so they cant use much LDMs.
a)Should I stop protection on 1st DPM and add these protection groups on 2nd DPM. Will it allow me to add since Inactive replica there would be on 1st DPM for 30days
b) Or should I Migrate these PGs?
c) What is best practice for this?Figured it out. Since I'm on a preconfigured RDS server, the RDS Session Host role is already installed. So technically Session-based desktop deployment is already set up. It's the difference between the session host role and the Virtualization
Host roles...slightly confusing when you walk into the middle of the deployment.
It would also explain my second part of the question since the session host role is installed.... -
Deployment of DataSource with Library SDA
Hi,
as mentioned in:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/bb/69da54d8aedc419d46d9ea074e4d41/frameset.htm
it should be poosible to deploy a DataSource together with my Library SDA. I have the data-sources.xml in the "/server/descriptors" directory of the library SDA
When I deploy the library i can't see the DataSource anywhere in Visual Admin (eg JDBC Connector). How can I be sure the DataSource is deployed. Or has it to be registered under JDBC Connector in Visual Admin anyway?
Thanks,
LarsI've tested it on different Netweaver Versions, current one is 7.00 SP9 (1000.7.00.9.1.20060913120000).

How to undeploy SOA-Bundle deployed to MDS
If I deploy a SOA Bundle containing metadata to be placed in MDS, as per "+36.7.3 Deploying and Using Shared Metadata Across SOA Composite Applications in+
+Oracle JDeveloper"+ I have no problems.
Unfortunately I am unable to figure out a way to undeploy the same bundle. There is no reference in the EM to the jar file, etc, and without rebuilding the MDS database I can't seem to find another way to do this.
Is anyone able to provide some insight.

How to deploy a "shared" tab library
I have developed a custom tag library that is used by a lot of web applications. By default JDeveloper include this libary in the lib directory of every application.
This is for us problematic because every time the library changes then i need to redeploy all the applications.
Is there a way to "share" a library so that can be available for every web application in my web server ?
I've tried to modifiy the global application.xml file adding a line like this one :
<library path="C:\Jdev903\j2ee\home\lib\mylib.jar">manually added</library>
it seems to work fine... is it the correct way to share a library ?

sergio setteWhen you plug in your iPod, go

would think you would be able to point to that folder
just like you can point to any other folder on your

iPod.
That's what I thought but the shared albums/library don't show up whereas it does show up in iPhoto.
Perhaps I don't have a setting set correctly?
