Undeploying a SOA composite in OIM 11gR2

I have two versions of approval processes deployed in SOA. What are the steps to undeploy the older version SOA composite which is not in use. Thanks in advance

Hi karthik,
Thanks. Is registering a workflow using the registerworkflows-mp.xml still necessary in OIM 11gR2. Because i saw this step skipped in 11gR2 developer's guide. My custom workflow was not working anywaz. Is it because i did not register the workflow first hand. I thought this step is not necessary as it was not given in OIM 11gr2 developer's guide.

  • Error while deploying/Undeploying the SOA composite

    Hi All,
    I am a new bie to OIM 11g.
    I have created a simple batch file with the commands for deploying/Undeploying/Disbaling/Enabling the SOA composites. I am trying to deploy/Undeploy/Disbale/Enable the SOA composites using the batch file. Following is the batch file that is created.
    ECHO Disabling the SOA composite
    call ant -f D:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_IDM1\server\workflows\registration\registerworkflows-mp.xml disable
    PAUSE
    call ant -f d:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_SOA1\bin\ant-sca-deploy.xml undeploy
    PAUSE
    call ant -f d:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_SOA1\bin\ant-sca-deploy.xml
    PAUSE
    call ant -f D:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_IDM1\server\workflows\registration\registerworkflows-mp.xml enable
    Disable and enable are working fine. But for undeploy and deploy I am getting the following error.
    "d:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_SOA1\bin\ant-sca-deploy.xml:78: taskdef class oracle.integration.platform.blocks.deploy.servlet.client.ant.DeployComposite not found"
    Please suggest what needs to be done to resolve this issue as this is very urgent.Thanks in advance for your help.

    Please help me in resolving this issue.

  • How to delete SOA composite from OIM 11g

    Hello,
    I modified an exisiting SOA composite and deployed it as a new version. Now I have 2 versions of the same composite available in OIM. I then went and undeployed the original (version 1) from the EM interface. I also deleted it from the deployed-composites and WLuser folder.
    Even after restarting the OIM/SOA servers, I can see the old version available in OIM. (Even though it's not deployed in SOA)
    How do I get rid of it completely? In Ch 21 of the OIM documentation, there are instruction to disable a composite. Is that the only option?
    Thanks!

    Probably. Does disabling=deleting in OIM?
    I was expecting it not to show up if the composite is not deployed on my SOA server...but it still is available. So looks like there is no real-time check (or check at any time, even at restart) of deployed composites between OIM and SOA. I could potentially have many undeployed composites still show up in OIM, assign them to templates etc. even if they don't exist anymore in SOA.

    Try to make similar changes (according your JVM, of course)

  • Error Handling in SOA Composite

    Hi,
    Is it possible to show the error message thats thrown in SOA composite on OIM UI for request ? Any ideas on this ??
    Thanks,
    Hrushi

    Hi Kevin,
    Thanks for the idea!!
    Just wanted to check if there is a way to set the variable from within the soa composite with the error message which can then be displayed on OIM UI. Like if there is any error i.e., if we try to assign a task to the user who is not present in OIM, the error gets displayed and the status of the task is shown as "ALERTED" . Is it possible to achieve the similar behaviour with custom errors!!
    Thanks,

  • Accessing the stored OIM password in CSF from SOA composite

    Is there a guide on how to access CSF - OIM credentials from your SOA composite. I found this example ( http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e14309/soa_api.htm ) which hard codes the xelsysadm's password in the SOA composite. It says See SOA documentation for more information about how to get credentials from CSF inside a SOA composite. I can't find any documentation describing how to access the credentials.
    I'm trying to access the lookup definitions I have defined in OIM.

    This is the code to retrieve the username and password from the CSF:
    >
         String oimUserName = "";
         String oimPassword = "";
         //get system administrator's credentials
         oracle.security.jps.JpsContext ctx = oracle.security.jps.JpsContextFactory.getContextFactory().getContext();
         final oracle.security.jps.service.credstore.CredentialStore cs = (oracle.security.jps.service.credstore.CredentialStore)ctx.getServiceInstance(oracle.security.jps.service.credstore.CredentialStore.class);
         oracle.security.jps.service.credstore.CredentialMap cmap = cs.getCredentialMap("oracle.oim.sysadminMap");
         oracle.security.jps.service.credstore.Credential cred = cmap.getCredential("sysadmin");
         if (cred instanceof oracle.security.jps.service.credstore.PasswordCredential) {
              oracle.security.jps.service.credstore.PasswordCredential pcred = (oracle.security.jps.service.credstore.PasswordCredential)cred;
              char[] p = pcred.getPassword();
              oimUserName = pcred.getName();
              oimPassword = new String(p);
    >
    It will retrieve the username and password for a map called "oracle.oim.sysadminMap" with key user of "sysadmin". In my instance, i have added xelsysadm and password for this key.

  • Undeploying SOA composite outside em Console

    Hi,
    In case my EM console is not coming up due to some error in a particular composite. Is it possible to undeploy the BPEL composite outside the em console?
    Is the jar file stored in some path in UNIX server (my server is hosted in unix). And can i directly remove the jar file and restart the server.
    Thanks

    Hi Amit
    1. NO, you cannot UnDeploy Workflow Composite JAR from Weblogic Admin Console (httP://host:port/console). You can UnDeploy only from EM and using ANT Scripts.
    2. Undeploy using EM and ANT Scripts will also do some background cleanup like removing the processes, some details from backend soa_infra database once the process is undeployed. So use only EM or ANT Scripts. DO NOT use Admin Console or Directly deleting the physical file from server folder.
    3. See the below links/posts for more details: You can Deploy or UnDeploy using ANT scripts
    a) http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E12839_01/integration.1111/e10224/sca_lifecycle.htm#CACJIACG
    See the sample command here. You do need the admin username/password for the soa server where you want to deploy/undeploy the above jar file. The ANt scripts available in the Middleware_Home\SOA_Suite_Home\bin something like: C:\Oracle\Middleware115BPM\Oracle_SOA1\bin
    b) Re: how to undeploy soa project using ant instead using em manually
    Thanks

  • Replicating the app functionality from OIM 10g to OIM 11gR2

    Hi,
    I have a resource object with an object form and a process form and approval, provisioning configured in OIM 10g design console. Provisioning is manual provisioning assigned to a particular group based on a task assignment adapter. For replicating the same in OIM 11gR2 i followed the following steps.
    1. Created a Resource object in Design console.
    2. Created a dummy IT Resource ( Since while creating app instance it is having IT Resource as Mandatory field. * Is there any way to skip this as i do not have any IT resource in my original app as it is going for manual provisioning?)*
    3. Created a process form in Design Console with the same fields as present in my 10g app process form.
    4. Now i need to Create an app instance and select the created resource object and IT resoource. Also i need to create a form associated with the app instance in which i will add the fields as present in the object form in my 10g app. ( Here i am not understanding how data will flow from object form to process form since there is no data flow mapping here)
    5. Other steps like creating the SOA composite with human tasks and deploying it and after that creating approval policies is pretty much clear.
    Please clarify whether the steps are correct and also the queries which i have posted in between. Thanks in advance.

    Thanks Gyanprakash. Wll disconnected resource trigger our custom approval process if we select the resource name properly in scope in operational level approval policy. Have you tried a disconnected resource with your custom approval process. Because i read the following lines in admin guide
    Oracle Identity Manager supports provisioning of disconnected resources by using the SOA worklist for manual provisioning of disconnected resources. After the role-based provisioning decision or SOA request approval is complete and the corresponding application instance is determined to be a disconnected application instance, a new SOA workflow is started. This new SOA workflow is assigned to the manual provisioning administrator.
    So i thought disconnected app instance will have its own approval process configured during the creation and it will route accordingly. So just wanted to clarify how to make disconnected app instance to trigger our approval. will approval policay take care of it as i am going to select the name of the disconnected app in the scope field.

  • Registration utility in OIM 11gR2

    For registering SOA composite in 11gr2 it is prompting with the following questions
    [input] Enter the username
    [input] Enter the password
    [input] Provide oim managed server URL (Ex:t3://oim_host:oim_port for weblogic and corbaloc:iiop:oim_host:oim_bootstrap_port for websphere)
    [input] Input the domain of the workflow
    [input] Input the name of the workflow
    [input] Input the version of the workflow
    [input] Input the service name of the workflow
    [input] Input the human tasks in the workflow (multiple human tasks must be separated by colon(:))
    First 3 questions are similar to 11gr1 registration utility. but from 4th question it is different . what values should be given for these? please help.

    [input] Input the domain of the workflow
    [input] Input the name of the workflow
    [input] Input the version of the workflow
    [input] Input the service name of the workflow
    [input] Input the human tasks in the workflow (multiple human tasks must be separated by colon(:))
    In 11g R1, you used to create properties file for registration. Open that and give values from there.
    Example:
    Domain = default
    Version: 1.0 or 2.0 depending on the situation
    ServiceName and HumanTask name are also part of that properties file

  • Understanding workflows in OIM 11gR2

    Hi Experts,
    Please provide any pointer for understanding workflows in OIM 11gR2.
    Also, jDeveloper insight and how to operate on it; will be very helpful.
    Thanks

    All workflows in OIM 11GR2 are routed through SOA. You can login into em console and go to SOA. Here you can see all default workflow composites. You can refer link here to create custom workflow in Jdeveloper:
    http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/fmw/oim/oim_11g/Request_Workflow_for_Self_Registration/request_workflow_for_self_registration.htm
    You can deploy it using Jdeveloper itself. Development of workflows is same as OIM 11Gr1.
    Just make sure you start SOA server first and then OIM server.

  • OIM 11gR2 - Task Assignment

    There is an approval workflow in my current 10g environment, where approval is assigned to a particular user after running a task assignment adapter. The java code inside my task assignment adapter has the logic which gives the approver key as output. Based on this the task is assigned to that particular approver. In OIM 11gr2 since the approval workflow happens in SOA side how can i perform my java logic there and route the approval based on that. Thanks.

    You can obtain user key either using expression rules or if logic is complex, you can use java embedding task to add your java code inside composite. Refer link here:

  • 12c SOA composite deployment issue using maven

    I am facing issue with 12c SOA composite deployment using maven. I execute the below command for deploying any composite. (Note: Update and run init.cmd file before running the below maven command)
    mvn pre-integration-test –f soa-pom.xml –Dcomposite.name=TestSOAProj –Dcomposite.version=1.1
    Issues:
    As seen above, I specified composite version to be deployed as 1.1 in pom.xml file, but maven deploys the composite with version that is present in composite.xml. It does build the jar file with the version specified in the pom i.e. TestSOAProj_rev1.1.jar, but when it deploys I see the composite with version as 1.0 (this version is in composite.xml). The out of the box maven script is not overwriting the revision in the composite.xml with the value specified in the pom file.
    Also, is there a way to pass the partition name as an user input parameter in the pom file. I tried this with the out of the box pom file by giving the partition name as something other than ‘default’, but the maven script ignores this and always deploys to ‘default’.
    I am not sure if I am missing anything here. Please suggest.

  • OIM 11gR2 Approval workflow not getting triggered

    I created an approval workflow by following the 11gR2 developer's guide and deployed it. then created an app instance and also an approval policy for operational level which is auto approved and for request level with this composite. when i raise a request for this app instance in the catalog the SOA composite is not getting triggered. I am able to see a task in pending approval of system admin whenever i raise request for any user and if i complete that pending approval the app gets provisioned directly. Also i do not see any request ID also. please help to find out whats going wrong

    Now i tried raising a request from another user who is not a member of SYSADMIN role. This time the request id is generated and a task 'Manual Task for Provision operation for Beneficiary X' is generated in pending approvals of xelsysadm user. When completed the app instance gets provisioned. So this means operational level approval task is triggered? and it has auto-provisioning?
    why my custom approval workflow is not getting triggered?
    I have created 2 approval policies, one for request level which is auto approval and other for operational level where i have selected the deployed composite name.In both the approval policies i have selected the request type as Provision ApplicationInstance. There is no error also while deploying the composite. Am i missing any step? please help.
