UndoTBS Management
Hello Everybody,
I have a script to import some data in my database (this script is based on imports with .dump files (two files which are approximatly 449 Mb and 40 Mb) and it
is not working because of my undo tablespace's size.
I can see it's full with
select x.tablespace_name NOM_TABLESPACE,
sum(x.bytes)/(1024*1024) || ' Mo' TAILLE_INITIALE,
NVL((select sum(bytes) from sys.dba_free_space y where x.tablespace_name = y.tablespace_name group by y.tablespace_name)/(1024*1024),0) ||' Mo' ESPACE_LIBRE,
NVL(to_char(((select sum(bytes) from sys.dba_free_space y where x.tablespace_name = y.tablespace_name group by y.tablespace_name)/sum(x.bytes))*100,'00.00'),' 0') || ' %' POURCENTAGE_LIBRE
from sys.dba_data_files x
group by x.tablespace_name;
Then I guess it try to put the data in the temp tablespace because I have got the following error :
ORA-1652: unable to extend temp segment by 128 in tablespace TEMP.
Actually, I am running out of space and can't extend my undo tablespace to more than 2Gb.
Moreover I can see that the database is approximatly using 1.3Gb in the tablespaces.
I have read how the UndoTBS works and it should be okay because I didn't activated the guarantee mod so even if undo request are not expired, they can be erased. So I totally don't understand.
Here is the scenario each time :
I try my script with 1Gb as result I have undotablespace full and errors in my script
So when I want to go for a try with 2Gb. I have to create a new undotbs, drop the current one, and put
the new one as undotbs.
Do you know if there is any way to avoid using the undo tablespace ? (Even, just the time to restore my database) ?
the problem doesn't come from the script because with few data it works fine.
Thanks for your help and sorry for the english mistakes I made.

Actually, I am running out of space and can't extend my undo tablespace to more than 2Gb.What was pointing to your undo tablespace? You've not shown anything to implicate it.
Moreover I can see that the database is approximatly using 1.3Gb in the tablespaces.

even I created new undotbs3b and made new undotbs3b as default undo at node3.
I still get some error.
I check example at ORA-00376
I try to recover datafile as

ORA-30012: undo tablespace 'UNDOTBS' does not exist or of wrong type

Error is because in target database undo tablespace is UNDOTBS_NEW and in auxiliary database undo tablespace name in init file is UNDOTBS. I followed the meatlink doc 433992.1 which suggest following steps to recover from above error:
1) edit the parameter UNDO_MANAGEMENT to "MANUAL"
2) start database again
3) drop the UNDO tablespace
4) recreate UNDO tablespace which matches to name in init file.
5) shutdown & start DB again.
Now, i edited init file and tried to start DB and got following error:

We have a production process that fills up UNDOTBS very frequently and that causes process to be aborted.
In emergency, I'd like to add more datafile for UNDO tablespace, would it drop/block/reject user transactions?
In stead of adding new data file, would it be better to just change existing data file to grow unlimited.
Thanks
ClaireHi,
What is your Oracle Version and OS Platform?
What exactly do you mean by 'process to be aborted'?
Adding a datafile will not drop/block/reject user transactions.
I would not recommend to go for the unlimited option because (depending on the activity of the application) the file will grow very fast, unless of course you monitor it 24/7.
Here is a document about managing undo.

UNDOTBS from Automatic to Manual
Hi,
I have a UNDOTBS ( DB version 9i) in automatic,
1-how can I change it to prevent extending automatically ?
2-How can I delete and create a new one which would not be automatic ?
Many thanks. If the AUTOEXTENSIBLE of the data files is set to YES
and there is no MAXSIZE defined for for files under UNDO tablespace, then yes.. the tablespace will grow to fill up the disk (may crash the system when it reaches per file size limit imposed by your operating system).
But...
If your application is generating so much of UNDO, then you need to check your application for the possible reasons.
Automatic Management of UNDO has nothing to do with the file sizes. File sizes need to be controlled manually. -
Oracle version is 11.2.0.2
The undotbs is growing and when it reaches below 10% free space we will add datafile and now the tablespace size is 295GB. How to shrink the undotbs ?
undo_retention is 3600
retention = NOGUARANTEEAt any given time, a transaction writes sequentially to only one extent in an undo segment, known as the current extent for the transaction...If the next extent does contain data from an active transaction, then the database must allocate a new extent and continue writing to it.
By default automatic undo management mode. This mode eliminates the complexities of manually administering undo segments. The database automatically tunes itself to
provide the best possible retention of undo data to satisfy long-running queries that may require this data
Note: Undo tablespace and temporary tablespace segments are not meant to be released manually
THe UNDOTBS doesn't behave like other tablespaces... the data is left in there and marked as unused when it's no longer needed rather than being explicitly deleted.

Cost(vprs) of free goods with batch managment
Dear Gurus,
I have a problem ahout free goods with batch management.
Cost(VPRS) is not accumulated in billing(free goods is not relevant for billing).
My configurations are shown as below:
Ordered goods (and batch) item category :zta1(copied from tan)
Free goods (and batch) item category :zann (copied from tann) pricing:B ;not relevant for billing;dermination cost:X
copy control(from delivery to billing):
ztan: accumulation cost :X
If I use the material without batch management,Cost of free goods(without batch) is accumulated to main item(ordered goods).
So, what can I do?
Thanks and Best Regards,
Lykin KanHi,
These notes are useful:
SAP Note 1365939 - VPRS logic and Customizing settings in SD
SAP Note 547570 - FAQ: VPRS in pricing
If you have the problem in the transfer from SD conditions to CO-PA, check if you transfer only invoices to COPA, if you don't invoice the deliveries of free goods, then you don't transfer this 'sales' or costs of 'gifts' to COPA. You can check the customizing of COPA in tcode ORKE (IMG for COPA). SAP Note 74486 - INFO: Overview of consulting notes for CO-PA is a good summary about this issue.
I hope this helps you

Eduardo

Can not refresh server manager Error:0x8007045b
OS: Windows 2012 R2 Core
Services: Hyper V
I was trying to remote reboot and the session hung. No worries I decided I could just reboot the next morning. So I rebooted the next day but when I go into server manager I get
an errror can not refresh server manager Error:0x8007045b. Did some research found suggestions to fix it using a DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth.
But then I get an error 1115 A system Shutdown is in progress. I attempt to fix this issue using pskill winlogon but the issue pursistest. I have restarted the server several times now. Not sure how to fix this.
Thanks in advance,

Adobe cloud tries to load addon which I have deleted in Extension manager
when Adobe Cloud starts it tries to load an application (Edge FX lite) that I have deleted in Adobe Extension Manager cc. I get the error message ' unable to install the addon EdgeFX lite error 603. How do I stop this?
Also in Adobe Exchange in 'My Stuff' there are showing addons which I have removed in Adobe extension Manager cc which I would like to be removed from this listing as I will never use them, but if I right click to uninstall I fail to get rid of them.Apologies, without making the assumption that you are signed in
1) Go to https://creative.adobe.com/addons/
2) In the top right hand corner select sign in and enter your Adobe ID and password
3) Once logged in, on the center of the screen at the left hand side, select the link 'All your purchases and shared items'
4) You will then be taken to a page that is the equivalent of your My Stuff panel.
5) You can then install individual add-ons/extensions.
Kind regards,

Data is not getting displayed in Management Console.
Hi Experts,
I am using BPC 7.5(M) SP04, Web server as IIS 7.0 and database server as SQL Server 2008 in Multi Server environment, Web Server is on Application Server (Windows Server 2008) and database server is on different machine.
I have configured the ODBC logging as documented in the install guide section : Setting Up ODBC Logging in IIS 7.0 for the Default Web Site and records are there in BPClog table of Appserver database but when I try to see data in Management console it doesn't show any data eg: It doesn't show any data after clicking "Who's Online" link under WebServer section of management console.
Do I need to do some more settings for getting the records display in Management Console.
Please Advice.
Thanks & Regards,
RohitHi Roberto,
I have gone through the OPS guide but still "Who is Online" link of management console is not showing any data, I tried giving date range in Start date/end date fields and clicked on "Reload" button but it gives error message:
LOGIN FAILED FOR USER 'NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON'
Please Advice.

Manage-bde command is not generating recovery key on network location
Hi,
I am trying to save the recovery key to the network share location and start up key in the USB drive while enabling bit locker. When the OS drive gets encrypted, the default folder for recovery password shows that it contains 1 file but not getting anything
inside it when i checked the properties of the folder.
i have already changed the group policy as "choose default folder for recovery password".
I am using the command to enable the bit-locker as "manage-bde.exe -on C: -rk
<network location to save recovery key> -sk <location of the USB drive>
-rp to enable the bit-locker. It is generating the start up key in the USB but not the recovery key on network share.
Can anyone suggest what i am missing or what else i should do to generate the recovery key on network share.
Does manage-bde process be able to save the recovery key on network share or it hand over to some other process to perform this task.
Thanks
Gaurav RanjanI got you Manoj, but I want to ask you one think that what if i lost the startup key or my USB stick. I have my recovery key on the network share. In order to log-in my machine I need the recovery password. From where i will get the recovery
password(48 digit). Surely from the recovery key on the network share. So how can i get the recovery password if only we have the recovery key.
I know both are different in context. Both are two different thing. I have lost my USB stick along with the recovery password and I have to log-in my machine. How can i do that i want to know that. Do there is any method to get recovery password from the
recovery key on network share. I have retrieved the recovery password when the recovery key in AD. But this time it is on network share.
Also one think which I need to solve is that the manage-bde -protectors -add command creates a new .bek file along with the older one. So the .bek file which get shown at the time of the start up of the machine is different from that stored in the network.
So i am getting confused as which .bek file is for which machine and hard to retrieve the password.
Is there any method to store recovery key on network without the -protectors -add command line so that both the .bek file should be matched and can easily be known for indiviual machine in an OU. As if both the .bek files will be different it would be difficult
to to retrieve the recovery password for the machines.
Please do inform if you need some more information about the scenario if i missed something.
Thanks

Problem when we created the managed server to configure different ports.
I am trying to configure different ports for admin console and my communication service as we can’t share admin port to the outside world.
So that only admin can access admin console using admin port.
And out side clients can access my webapplication using different port.
For this i have created the managed server in weblogic.and I deployed the application on managed server.
Now admin server is running on 8001 port and my Communication Service application is running on 7001 port.
But when I tried to configure MBeans related to myCommunicationServiceApplication those were disapper on admin console. And the other wlng services are appearing on admin console.
1. Since my application deployed on managed server MBeans registration happened from myapplication hence it’s disappear on admin console.
Now If I want to configure Mbeans (related to my communication service) how can I configure it?
2. My communication service using configurationStore module and other wlng services.
When I tried to start my application on managed server I got the below error:
<Apr 28, 2009 12:22:44 PM IST> <Error> <Deployer> <BEA-149231> <dscp11166.TechMahindra.com> <Unable to set the activation state to true for the application 'wlng_nt_qualcomm_active_mediation [Version=1.0]'.
com.bea.wlcp.wlng.api.storage.configuration.ConfigurationException: Configuration store module is not available.
3. I tried to target all wlngResources to manged server by editing config.xml file.
Then all wlng services disappears on admin console. If this is the case how can I configure container/account services on wlng?
I have created the Basicweblogic domain.
Below is the config.xml for reference.
"QualcommServer" is managed server name.
Can any one please suggest me how to configure this kind of scenarios?

Thanks,
Srinu Babu PDear Nariharan,
Today I faced a simlar issue, and this SAP Note helped me fix it: 1966807 - Duplication of AET table records in change processing
In my case, cardinality of AET table was 1:1, and I was getting duplicate PARENT_ID every time when trying to create a subsequent service request for my activity.
Regards,
Andrew -
Multiple instances of firefox in task manager but FF doesn't open
- Windows XP SP3 (up to date with all critical updates)
- FireFox 25.0.1 (Note: Originally I had version 31 but a few days ago that stopped working)
- Norton Security Suite (the comcast version) up to date
- I have IE6 and Chrome 37 as backup browsers (Note: when FF stopped working, IE8 had also stopped working - page would open, only one system process, but page would never load)
Ran the following scans:
- SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition
- Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
- Ad-Aware Antivirus
- Spybot-S&D Start Center
Found a few non-critical yet potential infections (nothing too crazy)
Symptom persists as follows:
- fresh boot of computer
- open task manager (no instances of FF)
- open firefox - process appears in task manager and immediately goes to 50%
(nothing opens and nothing listed in Applications)
- open a second instance of firefox - 2nd process appears in task manager
(still nothing opens and neither instance appears in Applications
(the two instances continue to run at a cumulative 50% CPU usage - one might be 15% and the other running at 35% - or both running at 25% each)
- open a third instance of firefox
(still nothing opens, and all three instances show in task manager processes and cumulatively run at 50% - example:15 +15 + 20 or 10 + 15 + 25)
Troubleshooting:
restored a drive image from May 2014
- Note: Dec 2013 I had done a complete FRESH new install of Windows XP in prep for EOL and installed all updates, including SP3, so the image I chose from May was only 5 months old, but I chose that one because of some of the other programs I had installed that month and didn't want to go through that again
- Note #2: I have drive image run a monthly PQI backup of my C: drive and my R: drive) I have two hard drives 300G each whereas C: drive is OS only and R: drive is all my downloads, my documents, my photos, etc)
- after the image restored, I tried to open FF and IE8, neither app was problematic. FF auto updated from what version, I don't know, but it was on 31 when I realized the problem was BACK. Also ran some WIN critical updates, and IE8 stopped working too!
uninstalled IE8 (rolled back to IE6 and now IE works - but obviously I can not live with IE6 - I need to update that!) uninstalled FF31 (and deleted all temp and profile account folders) and installed a brand new copy of FF25 - whereas I immediately force stopped autoupdater and deleted the update files so I could remain on FF25.
Now FF25 will open only on the second instance of the process (the first will always go to 50% CPU, the second will open and run between 0 and 10 CPU, and only one application in Applications)
- I have learned that I can kill the 50% process using task manager or process explorer and total CPU usage will drop down to 0% - 10%
I can open many many tabs without any problems, and I can right click a link to open a new window and all is good, BUT if I use the desktop ICON, the quick launch ICON or the START > Programs > Icon, then the NEXT process will go to 50% and no second window will open
I have seen dozens of forums that have reported similar memory issues, but none have been resolved.
Can you help me? I don't want to upgrade IE6 to IE8 just yet, but I will not use it for anything but testing until I can upgrade. Note: besides being painfully slow, I have been switching to Chrome, but I have never enjoyed Chrome.... I am using FF right now to ask for help.
Any suggestions?I have the "techie" answer for all of you. According to the tier 2 support at Norton Help Desk, the latest live update from Norton "utilizes Visual Studio 2012 which enables SSE2 instructions" and my processor can not handle that.
He said they are "working on a solution" and offered to reply back on Wednesday / Thursday this week if a solution could be found... -
I DO remember them but Apple chose to put them in Japanese and I can not change the language on Manage my Apple ID so I do not know if I made an error ,it threw me off , it was the wrong question Where did you fly to on your first Aiplane trip ? then I was unable to enter until 8 hours then called Apple Japan 4 times each time threy asked me would you like to speak with an English speaker,I said yes then they told me sorry today is Sunday no English speakers ,but they refused to speak Japanese, then I called 5th time and a kind guy could speak English we were on 1and 1/2 hours he got me to log in but the reset key chain could not be completed still pending.
He said do not mess with that ! then I got a text from somewhere to reset 4 pins suddenly it was very strange I said to him that I got this pin this morning but it said you can use maximum 3 hours it had a UK number and I told him I do not like this and will not enter the code he said do not do it if it is from the UK and then I said to him ok you did a lot to help but we can not go any further ! and we cut of I went back to my computer to re do the ID but I found everything a mess so I call and a stupid sounding Japanese women with a squeaky voice came on I was calm at first and they want your phone number your IMEI number your iPhone serial number date of birth Address email address it takes 10 munutes to check then they ask what are you caling about so I try to explain my keychain is broken or problems with language security questions and can not change my pasword because the security question have failed me so it is ONE BIG HEADACHE AND I START I GET STRESSED she says Do want an ENGLISH speaker ,I say yes ,that guy i talked to earlier but I never got his name and first time I ever talked to him but they said he is not here so I said ok and then she said today is sunday so call back in the morning ,I said ,well ok in Japanese but they make you feel stupid because they do not want to speak Jap@anese with none natives and they are to busy,And they feel that I should not bother them ,then I say that Apple Japan is trying to refuse Apple foreign customers and then she wants to hang up and ask me to visit the shop ,but they are the same I have a very bad time with Apple Japan since they do not discuss software problems or security with customer meaning if you have a problem they ask you to come on a time 20 minutes max so they do hardware test and say you phone is fine then I say no I can not reset my ID they say you must call call centre so I am going around in circles ,When I call English it is usually Australia so if my problem is in Japan surely if do not want me to talk to them in Japanese and they ask me to call Australia but every time my call charge is expensive after asking them is this free because I have Apple care they say yes but when the call goes to Australia 0120 277 535 it might change to paid call so I call then I have to ask is this charging they say we can not give you that information ! so what can I do I have have been at the computer and phone all day on my day off work and in tre week I am so busy and can not use my phone I can not work without it ,this new technology for you ,they can not cope with the fact that the customer have problems yet they do not want to deal with us because they can not solve it and so it shows them to be useless they like to walk around in their cool tee shirts and retro shop but when it comes to functionality we are unwelcome they got the money so do not return because apple is perfect that nothing should go wrong .
But it does somehow my English security answers do not work on a Japanese Question especialy if I did not choose that question I set up the multiple choice In English and wrote the answers in English or Roman and set them langauge preferences in English, do you really think you can correctly write english name or word in Japanese they write a police patrol car pato caa パトカア they do not have r and l .So it is my choice to make my security easy for me and as difficult for others to hack. But they also have patororoo choo meaning ' now patrolling ' so why they have pato caa patrol car and patoro patrol and have thousands of Chinese words kanji they can find patrol.
I am getting off the topic but I am at a loss to fix this problem when they hold the keys and i have all the info to verify my ID.You have to enter the Apple ID and password. You are running into the Activation Lock
iCloud: Find My iPhone Activation Lock in iOS 7
