Unescape HTML using ABAP

Hi ,
I have a function module which retrieves HTML code. I need to unescape that code using ABAP in BSP to show to the user in a pdf. Any ideas?

Then suppose u r calling FM in 1st.htm then u by pressing a button u can submit the html code as a string to another page ,say 2nd.htm .
ex:
1st.htm -
"onInputProcessing"
( let str_html be the string that contains HTML CODE. )
navigation->set_parameter( name = "str_html" value = str_html )
navigation->goto_page('2nd.htm').
2nd.htm-------
make str_html auto attribute type string.
"ONLAYOUT"

as u said u r using sppol2pdf , i assume that u r comfortable with pdf conversion.

Problem with interactive forms using ABAP

Hi all,
    I am trying to create an interactive adobe form using ABAP in ECC 6.0. But while execute the form, it is creating an error saying that
Exception       SYSTEM_ERROR
Message ID:          FPRUNX                     Message number:           001
Message:
ADS: The render error log file has been written to D:\u(200101)
But i was able to create adobe interactive form using WebDynpro and its working perfectly. But the problem is while using ABAP method.
Do anyone have an idea why its happening?

Interactive Forms based on Adobe software is SAP's new solution for forms development. Its first release has the focus on interactive use of forms. High-volume printing is supported in principle, but - being a new solution - the performance has not yet reached the same level as Smart Forms or SAPscript, two established solutions that had years to grow. Interactive Forms is the only solution that will continue to be enhanced with new features, while SAPscript and Smart Forms will be supported without limitations.
When (or if) to move to Interactive Forms depends on your requirements. For interactive forms usage, i.e. the new functions, you have no choice, as the existing solutions don't support it. High-volume print scenarios need to be carefully analyzed to see whether your concrete requirements can be met at this point.
However, it is possible to move to Smart Forms and design your forms in such a way that a migration at any point in the future would be but a small step. Smart Forms offers from Web AS 6.40 a migration wizard to Interactive Forms. Technically, everything can be migrated, but we recommend against things like ABAP program nodes, for example.
You are not forced to ever go to Interactive Forms if you don't want to. It really depends on whether your client needs any of the new features in Interactive Forms. Also, if they are currently working with JetForms, they could enquire with Adobe directly what migration path they offer to the joint solution.
It is impossible to make a blanket statement on what needs to be done in each of the applications using a form for output. Despite the same underlying technology, forms handling has always been a decision for each SAP application: Some do it through customizing, some through coding, some in yet anither way.
What I CAN say from a technology pespective is that all applications are in the process of creating their forms based on Interactive Forms so that by 2007 pretty much all SAP forms will be PDF-based. Obviously, each application does it within the framework of their application - but they all use Interactive Forms.
By the way, be aware that in ERP 2004 this forms solution is subject to a limitation for high-volume printing scenarios as we cannot ensure that ALL customers will be content with the performance in ALL scenarios with this release. (see SAP Note 863893).
To get an overview idea about Adobe forms ,
Using SFP , first you need to create a interface . in interface you can declare the import and export parameters and also the declaration part, coding etc : This is nothing but similar to Function module interface.
And now we have to create the Form which is interactive. Create the form and enter the interface name which you have created in first step, so that the parameters , declarations of fields etc : will be copied and available in the form layout. So that you can drag and drop these declared fields ( dclared fields of interface ) to the layout.
Create the context and layout in the form.
The layout generated can be previewed and saved as PDF output.
Now we need to integrate the driver program and the PDF form to get the final output as per the requirement.
On activating and executing the form you will get a function module name just similar to smartforms.
The driver program needs to call this FM.

Sending mail to outlook using ABAP objects

Hi,
I have used ABAP objects to send a mail to outlook.
I am getting the mail properly except body part.
Here I am appending 3 items to body.But in the mail i am getting only the last appended line item.
Please suggest the solution.I am hereby providing the code.
LR_MAIL_DATA->SUBJECT = 'Hi'.

    LV_TO-ADDRESS = WA_REGUH-SMTP_ADDR.

Hi,
I suggest you can have a look in the example program BCS_EXAMPLE_1 for sending mail using the class CL_DOCUMENT_BCS.
Try for other example program also by searching with BCS_* in se38.

Deletion / Cancellation of MS Outlook Appointments by using ABAP

Hi all,
I am trying to send a cancellation of a MS Outlook Appointment using ABAP. The invitation was send sometimes before by using ABAP.
I found this thread Deleting or Updating Appointment in outlook from ABAP Print workbench and the PDF that is linked in the last post, but it does not work.
I receive a mail with a calendar file that offers the oppertunity to "Remove from calendar". But if I push this button, there is no change in my calendar. The appointment still exists in my calendar.
Does anyone have an idea what may be going wrong? Or are there other possibilities to cancel a MS Outlook Appointment by using ABAP?

Hi,
this is not an ABAP issue, that's an iCalendar/MS Outlook issue. Play around the .ICS file generated to see what is wrong (no need to complicate with ABAP). I recommend you to also test with another .ICS file to add the appointment, you duplicate it and change the status to CANCELLED.

How to populate columns in IVIEW using ABAP FM ?

Hi All,
I need to populate columns in IVIEW using ABAP FM. I had developed a FM which is working fine in SAP ABAP. Now Functional people has done the configuration for this FM to MSS.
When we go to the IVIEW in MSS, My FM is not getting triggered in the MSS portal, it is not displaying any values in that particular column of IVIEW. I dont know why.
Can anybody help me out? If u need any more details i'll provide that..

Creating a long text using ABAP code.. fm SAVE_TEXT

When you create an order via IW31 one of the options is to click on the text button and create a long text. I am basically trying to mimic this action from within my ABAP code.
The text id details are as follows:
Text Name       500000015000046 which is (5000000 + order number)
Language        EN
Text ID            KOPF         Order header text
Text Object      AUFK       Order text
If i manually create the text within the transaction i am then able to view and update it via function modules READ_TEXT and SAVE_TEXT. But if the text has not already been created READ_TEXT obviously returns nothing as it does not exist and SAVE_TEXT does not seem to created it!
Anyone know how i would go about creating this text using ABAP code?

For that I go with BDS Approach and create test program for this I got success while uploading file in my folder
which i have created with the help of class and content repository . but when i Using ABAP Webdynpro , i got error FM "BDS_BUSINESSDOCUMENT_CREATEF" message " error_kpro " .
                       Also I wanted to use KM for storage of Documents and wanted to retrive with help of ABAP Webdynpro .

I have requirement such that i need to update certain key figures in DSO after certain time.
for eg. say record with key a is loaded to DSO and currospoding key figure was loaded with value 10
after few days because of certain parameters changing in system i need to modify key figure value.
currently i am doing same using 1 self transformation i.e. by loading same data again in same DSO.
Amount of data is very huge and causing performance issues in system.
now A is not key but i need to modify record for few combinations which apperar multiple times in DSO.
Same DSO data is loaded into Cube regularly.
I may need to update data after gap of few weeks as well.
This design will be used as template and needto keep whole logic generic.
So wring Function module can make it generic.

Read Infopackage selection from a table using ABAP

Hello Experts,
I have a flat file consisting of 3 columns which I want to use as selection fields for the Infopackage. Now, is it possible to load this flat file to an ODS or a master data table and then write some ABAP in the Infopackage to read the values of the columns and populate the selection fields.
This is what I want: The columns of the flat file are - Company Code, Doc number, Fiscal Year
Now, I loaded this file into a tables (around 2 million records) and then use ABAP to populate the entire file into the selection tab of the Infopackage.
What would be the best approach for this?

Hi,
It's possible in theory. Just one thing, too many selections in an InfoPackage may not work (I remember about 1,000 or 10,000, not very sure).
I'd like suggest loading a range rather than so many selections. For example, say you have below documents:
1000
1001
1005
1010
Then just load from 1000 to 1010, and create a start routine in your update rule/transformation. There you can do this:
1. select records from the table where you store flat file, using the same selection (1000 to 1010)
2. For every records in DATA_PACKAGE, using READ TABLE statement to check whether that record exist in the table. If not exist then simply delete it from DATA_PACKAGE
I think that would have much better performance. Let us know if you have further questions.
