Unix time to normal time

Hi all,
We have done the data migration of DFM fault History from the database to Crsytal Report 2008. The data migration is also including a column of date and time. Migration process completed and we noticed on crystal report, the date and time format has changed into 13 digits of unix time format (eg: 1254538573296).
In order to change it to the normal date and time format (eg: mm/dd/yyy 12:34:56 am), we do add a few syntax to the crystal report and we manage to change it. however the problem is, the date and time was appeared wrongly. we
have tried using online converter and after few times we noticed that,if only 10 digits from the unix time is entered, the date and time may appear correctly. Whereas we have 13 digits of unix time that we obtained from the data migration.
Is there any way that we can fix this so that there will only take 10 digits from the database instead of 13 digits?

The 13 digits are seen because DFM is written in Java, and Java stores an extra three digits for milliseconds since January 1, 1970.  There is no way to export a 10 digit epoch time from DFM.  Your post-processing script will need to strip off the trailing three digits to create an epoch time which only includes seconds.

  • VI to convert Unix time to standard time?

    hi,
I am in need of a VI to convert Unix time to Standard time?
eg: Unix time: 1268845177 in seconds
Standard time: GMT: Wed, 17 Mar 2010 16:59:37 GMT
                            Your timezone(U.S):
    Wednesday, March 17, 2010 10:59:37 AM
I have the calculation but not full formula.
Unix time is in seconds from Jan 1,1970, 00:00:00 UTC, starting at 0 counting forward.
    When 1268845177/86400 = 14685 days.
    86400 = 60*60*24 seconds
But how to convert the 14685 days and relate to the current date, how it should be done?
Either the formula or a VI to convert Unix time to standard time will be a help.
    Regards,
    Arvinth

Timestamps and the PC clock vs. time on the net are different and I'd say somewhat unrelated concepts.
You are worried about accuracy of the current time.  Timestamps have nothing to do with current time, but are a way of identifying and particular moment in time.
Yes, the PC clock gets its time from the net assuming the time server settings are all set properly.  Even the correction of the current PC time may not happen exactly when the leap second gets inserted.  It may be some time before the PC resynchronizes with the net time.  The PC doesn't know if the existence of when a leap second will occur.  And neither does the LabVIEW timestamp.
Here is an example.  According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leap_second, a leap second will occur at the end of June 30 of this year UTC.  Since my clock is eastern daylight time at that date, I put together an example for 8pm on June 30  (UTC +4).  You'll see that the 3 values (a second before, the exact time, and a second after) show they are all 1 second apart.  There is no extra second accounted for.  So in real life the time a second after  vs. a second before are actually 3 seconds apart, but LabVIEW only show 2 seconds.  Feel free to play with the attached snippet for different timezones and daylight savings time and all of that.
I don't think you really have as big of a problem as you are trying to investigate here.  If your timing needs are that critical where you need accuracy of the current time to better than a second, then you shouldn't be looking at LabVIEW timestamps, PC time clock, or internet time at all, but look at a high accuracy timing source perhaps based on a GPS clock.
Unless you have a particular test planned to run over the expected point of time where a leap second is inserted, then you shouldn't have to worry.  Even if you do have a test run over the leap second, you probably don't need to worry either.  If the test is based on a waveform datatype, then you have a T0 timestamp, and a dT that will keep track of all the individual data points accurately.

my iphone 4s shuts itself off all the time. starts normal and then shut it off and start all over again, what is wrong?

Your iPHone is designed by intention to shut off when there is a reason for the softwarer to believe that danger is immenent to the hardware. This can occurr if the software is running applications that have been corrupted due to all types of different scenarios. My best advice to you would be to restore your device back to default manufactures settings and do NOT restore the current backup of the IOS program currently running.
If this corrects the problem with your device intermittently restarting you will then know you have had applications there were corrupted on your device. Once you are convinced there are no issues with the hardware of your device you then are free to begin downloading software apps that were earlier on the device.
    Good luck.

  • UTC Date Time and Normal Date Time

    Hi All,
    1. How UTC date time and Normal date time differs in siebel.
    2. If legacy data needed to be loaded into siebel, in siebel few fields are date time and UTC date time fields. what would happen if we load both normal date time and UTC date time without considering them techinically?
    3. UTC date time holds any specific format in physical database? If we want to load legacy data to UTC date time format what is the query to manipulate it?

Your MacBook is using the big screen as the Presenter Display, and the MacBook Air display as the Show display. Tap the 'x' key to swap them during the show.
Here is more information about using the Presenter Display.

    Yes part of Apple Store
You will get a service replacement ,maybe new maybe refurbed to new standard
but in a "brown box" so no bits and pieces just unit for unit exchange
They will know of iPhone history from their systems but always
worth having proof of ownership but not essential (as far as I know )

  • Trying to backup two computers via Time Machine on Time Capsule

    Hi, everyone.
I have read about a similar problem that I am having, but the forums were all from 2009, so I don't know if anything has been updated or figured out since then.
I bought a Time Capsule yesterday, and I set-up a network as well as the Time Machine configurations.  My iMac running 10.6.8 did just fine backing up; however, my Macbook running 10.5.8 did not.
When I try and run a backup with Time Machine, I get this error:
"The network backup volume could not be mounted because there was a problem with the network username or password."
After that error, I get this error:
"Keychain error -25299 occured while creating a System Keychain entry for the username "XXX" and URL "afp://[email protected]//XX".
I have searched different forums for hours, and so far, based on what I have been reading, I have done this:
    1. Deleted anything having to do with the TC in the keychain and trying to restart the backup.  This made me have the same errors again.
    2.  Reset the PRAM.
    3. Repaired disk permissions.
    4.  Repaired keychain permissions.
Finally, I found on a forum that I could set up guest access on the network and backup my Macbook as a guest.  This is what I am doing, now.  However, I saw that starting with OS X 10.6, there was some kind of update for Time Capsule and Time Machine in regards to using Time Capsule for multiple computers.
My question is, since 2009, has there been a fix for this?  I know some people suggested updating firmware, and if this is the fix, what do I need and where do I get it?  Also, would it be possible to purchase OS X 10.6.8 for my Macbook and update it to potentially solve the problem?  Is updating the Operating System hard?  I'm not completely computer illiterate, but I am not great, either.  If I update the Operating System, will all of my files and applications remain on my Macbook?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Well, there is a way to reinstall without erasing the drive. But it may not fix the problem. You may need to start from scratch. In any event you should make a backup of your system then you do not risk losing anything but some time.
But the real problem I see is that it is the computer that is the problem not the TC which seems to work fine with your iMac.
Since you are using Leopard you can do the following. In my opinion I would not opt to preserve user accounts and network preferences since your problem may well be in your user account.
How to Perform an Archive and Install
An Archive and Install will NOT erase your hard drive, but you must have sufficient free space for a second OS X installation which could be from 3-9 GBs depending upon the version of OS X and selected installation options. The free space requirement is over and above normal free space requirements which should be at least 6-10 GBs. Read all the linked references carefully before proceeding.
    1. Be sure to use Disk Utility first to repair the disk before performing the Archive and Install.
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger, Leopard or Snow Leopard.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
    2. Do not proceed with an Archive and Install if DU reports errors it cannot fix. In that case use Disk Warrior and/or TechTool Pro to repair the hard drive. If neither can repair the drive, then you will have to erase the drive and reinstall from scratch.
    3. Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When you reach the screen to select a destination drive click once on the destination drive then click on the Option button. Select the Archive and Install option. You have an option to preserve users and network preferences. Only select this option if you are sure you have no corrupted files in your user accounts. Otherwise leave this option unchecked. Click on the OK button and continue with the OS X Installation.
    4. Upon completion of the Archive and Install you will have a Previous System Folder in the root directory. You should retain the PSF until you are sure you do not need to manually transfer any items from the PSF to your newly installed system.
    5. After moving any items you want to keep from the PSF you should delete it. You can back it up if you prefer, but you must delete it from the hard drive.
    6. You can now download a Combo Updater directly from Apple's download site to update your new system to the desired version as well as install any security or other updates. You can also do this using Software Update.

You wrote with different  execution plan, I  think, you saw plans. It is very difficult, you get old plan.
I think Execution plans is not changed in  different days, if you not added index  or ...
What say ADDM report about this script?
As you know, It is normally, different Elapsed Time for same statement in different  day.
It is depend your database workload.
It think you must use SQL Access and SQl Tuning advisor for this script.
You can get solution for slow running problem.

  • LTP run ignoring GR processing time and Lead time

    Hi,
I am trying to find out way to create a planning scenario (MS31) and run LTP (MS01) which will ignore the GR processing times and Lead times from Material master.
I would like to use MCEC report (after running MS70 valuation) which will show the values only in my new fiscal year - for budgeting purposes. Currently because of the long GR processing times and Lead times in material master (sometimes even 60 days) - some planned values show in MCEC report 2 or 3 months before the new fiscal year and the last two periods of new fiscla year are empty.
I would be grateful if you could help me with getting rid of these additional Times and adjusting the periods only for Report purpose. The desired final output should be that S012 table for this specific planning scenario has the values only in periods of the Fiscal year - without hitting previous Fiscal year last periods (due to lead /GR processing times).
    Thank you,
    Karol

    Dear,
Master data is taken from normal MRP views. there is no other setting is available. you can create a different matrerial number for LTP planning.

  • Cube maintenance time increases every time it runs

    Hi,
I have created a cube in AWM (10.1.0.4) with five dimensions. This cube is set to not to preaggregate any levels in order to have a short maintenance time. First time I maintained the cube it took about 3 minutes. In order to get a average maintenance time i chose to maintain the cube a few times more. For every time I did this, the cube used a bit more time to maintain and last time it used 20 minutes. Every time i checked the "aggregate the full cube" option and no data is added to the source tables.
I also checked the tablespace that the AW is stored in and it also increases for each run. Its now using 1,6 gb.
    The database version is 10.1.0.4.0
Anyone have any ideas to what I can do?
    Regards
    Ragnar
edit: I did a few more runs and the last run time was 40 minutes and the tablespace is now using 4,1gb so I think this is where the problem is. Instead of overwriting the old data it seems that it just adds it, making the tablespace bigger for each time.

    Hi,
seems like I have resolved this problem now. I had made several cubes that were almost identical. Only difference was how they aggregated the data. One was full aggregation, one was skip-level aggregation and the last didn't have any. The reason I did this was to be able to compare maintenance time and see how this affected the response time to the cube. I am not sure what causes this, but I never managed to aggregate the cubes correctly. The cube with full aggregation took just about a minute or two to maintain and when i chose to view the data it took another minute.
So my impression was that it was aggregating all the data runtime.
When I tried to maintain any of the cubes after this, I got some different errors. Usually the maintenance failed when the tablespaces couldn't grow anymore. The temp tablespace was at this point beyond 20gb.
I then thought that the name of the measures in the cube could have something to do with the errors I got, and renamed them so they were unique in the AW. The tablespaces grew large also this time, but the maintenance stopped because of an out of memory error.
Then i deleted all cubes but one and tried to maintain it. After about 35 minutes it was done and when i chose to view the data, they seemed to be precalculated and the response time was good. The tablespace containing the AW also seems normal in size, around 500mb. I did several test runs during the night, and since yesterday the cube has successfully been maintained 15 times.
So this brings me to my question.
Can a AW only contain one cube? Or is it just a user error from my part? To me it seems a bit weird that you only can have one cube using the same dimensions, so I'm not sure if this is a right way of doing it, but it works.
Anyone have any input or similar experiences?

  • Slow load time for Quick Time in Mail

Does anyone know why when you receive a video file (like WMV) in Mail that Quick Time takes so long to load it? It did not use to take so long before Snow Leopard. If you click on play before it is loaded, you get audio only. Are there any work arounds or something other than Quick Time that can be used?

From Adobe Support:  17 secs response time is a normal time interval for the "Print Settings" dialogue.
